Abstract

Tofu is a side dish or food used by many people. As a processed food product made from soybeans, white tofu contains protein and high water content so it is very good for the growth of spoilage microorganisms. As a result, tofu is not durable and easily damaged. Damage to white tofu is characterized by a sour and slimy odor. The usual preservation methods for traders include soaking tofu in formalin to make tofu more resistant to decay, resistant to microorganisms, and maintaining its freshness for up to seven days. Formalin to prevent unwanted things. In food Because of the above problems, there needs to be special treatment against excessive use of formalin in food in Indonesia. Formalin should be limited within International Chemical Safety Programme (IPCS) limits for adult foods containing formaldehyde. And also sensors made of polymeric materials combined with activated carbon to detect formalin in food. The development of technology continues with the development of internet products from things that can communicate with each other through the internet. Then a tool was developed to solve the above problem. As part of the research, a formaldehyde detection device will be made in tofu food with a monitoring telegram. The system uses HCHO sensors and a Node MCUESP 32 microcontroller, which is then transmitted through a database that allows you to view through the LCD screen and the Telegram Android smartphone application, of which of course many applications are installed to facilitate this. Users are able to check formalin plates remotely via an internet network connection.

Abstract

The braking system for motor vehicles is very important which serves to slow down speed. So that the braking system is one that must be considered for driving safety. There are two types of braking systems on motorcycles based on the mechanism, namely braking using discs and drums. One of the causes of road accidents is because the brakes overheat so that failure of the braking system results in brake failure. Therefore, this research is about the design of temperature and speed monitoring on motorcycle brake discs based on google sheets. Which uses MLX90614 sensor as a temperature sensor and E18-D80NK sensor as a speed sensor and NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller. Both sensors are programmed to provide information so that the brake temperature does not overheat and turn on the buzzer when the temperature and speed reach / exceed predetermined values. The buzzer will turn on when the temperature on the disc brakes reaches ?65°C and when the speed reaches 120rpm.

Abstract

Tilapia is a freshwater fish that is widely cultivated because it has several advantages over other types of fish, this fish excels in fast growth, ease of breeding, and good adaptability to the environment. However, this fish farming is not free from the threat of pests that can interfere, especially predatory lizards that can destroy fish populations in ponds quickly. The advancement of IoT technology development can be utilized in making automatic trap prototypes with smartphone-based notifications. Thus, the pond owner can know if the monitor lizard has been successfully trapped without having to be in the pond area all the time. This research uses the experimental method, this method involves observing an experiment by making a tool and testing the prototype that has been completed. This tool uses a PIR sensor as input that will be processed by the ESP32 microcontroller with the output in the form of an automatic door and notification of the Blynk application on the smartphone simultaneously. The first test results show the use of ESP32 with a hotspot connection getting an average time of 0.76 seconds which can be said to be very responsive. As for the second test, which is the speed of reaction after the sensor successfully detects the object until the door is automatically closed, the average time is 2.33 seconds which is quite good even though there is still a delay. In the third test, this trap successfully trapped monitor lizards on the 3rd day. Although there are still some shortcomings, this research is very useful for fish farmers, especially in earthen ponds because this trap helps pond owners overcome potential losses due to lizards that often prey on cultured fish. In addition, the pond owner also gets additional income from selling live monitor lizards instead of selling dead lizards.

Abstract

One of the current land use alternatives is cultivating vegetables using the hydroponic method. One way that must be considered to get good results when cultivating pak choy using the hydroponic method is to periodically maintain the pH level of the nutrient media in the hydroponic pak choy plant. This research aims to create a system that can detect nutrient levels and the condition of hydroponic plants. To test this, hydroponic plant nutrition was carried out using 2 types of treatment. The first treatment, hydroponic pak choy plants are given nutrition according to the optimal PPM (Parts Per Million) nutrient dose, namely in the range of 1100 to 1400 so that the leaves produced are healthy and green. Meanwhile, in the second treatment, hydroponic pakchoy plants were given less nutrition than they should be given, namely in the range of 800-1000 PPM so that the leaves produced by hydroponic pakchoy plants wilt due to lack of nutrition. The control devices used in this system include ESP32 as a microcontroller, ESP32 Cam for plant monitoring and digital image processing, pH sensors, and TDS sensors to monitor nutrients in the air. Based on the experimental results, it was found that mustard leaves will be green if the TDS meter value is at an average of 1160.83 PPM with an average error of 5.61% while the pH meter value is at 9.82 with an average error 4.2 %. The percentage value of green detected by image processing is 120.33% with a lower limit of green [35, 21, 63] and an upper limit of green [55, 255, 255]. The Esp32 cam can also process digital images of hydroponic pak choy leaves well.

Abstract

Since 2006 Lapindo mudflow caused by natural gas drilling in Sidoarjo. Nowdays the mudflow still can't be stopped, and to prevent it from resident's houses, embankments were built. Eventough the embankments and guardrails has been built but sometimes the mud flowing into resident's houses while its raining or the embankments were subsidence or reep. Severity, the distance between the embankment and the residents' houses is about 500 m. So far, the handling action while embankments ware subsidence is residents report the accidents to related parties, namely PPLS. But the response is too late and take a long time to occur the accident, so the mud has been flow in to resident's houses. because so far it is still completely manual and there is no monitoring system can detect the accident in the embankments. Therefore with monitoring the embankments with vibration and overflow of the lapindo puddle using wirelless sensor network spread over a number of dike-prone points, then its send to smartphone via Blynk. When the accident happend system monitoring aplication will be warning and send message easly via smartphone. So the existence of this monitoring tool can provide a sense of security to the citizens.
