Abstract

 Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat motivasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model discovery learning pada materi barisan geometri tak hingga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan survei sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Responden penelitian ini terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas 10 di salah satu sekolah menengah atas. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disusun untuk mengukur variabel motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning tidak berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan motivasi mereka. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan untuk pengembangan metode pengajaran yang lebih efektif dan kreatif di masa mendatang, serta meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi matematika. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Discovery Learning, Barisan Geometri tak hingga, Pembelajaran.   Abstract : This study aims to analyze the level of learning motivation of students taught using the discovery learning model on the material of infinite geometric sequences. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey as a data collection technique. The respondents of this study consisted of 35 10th grade students in a high school. Data were collected through a questionnaire designed to measure the variables of student learning motivation. The results of the study indicate that the level of student learning motivation in learning with the discovery learning model does not contribute significantly to increasing their motivation. This study is expected to provide insight for the development of more effective and creative teaching methods in the future, as well as improve students' understanding of mathematics material. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Discovery Learning, Infinite Geometric Sequences, Learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam era digitalisasi, peternak sapi di Desa Tanjung Gusta menghadapi tantangan besar dalam pemasaran produk mereka, terutama terkait dengan keterbatasan akses dan pengetahuan tentang teknologi digital. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hardskill peternak melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam penggunaan platform Silembu.com dan teknik pemasaran digital untuk meningkatkan jangkauan pasar. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pengembangan konsep platform, penyuluhan mengenai pentingnya pemasaran digital, workshop penggunaan Silembu.com dan integrasi dengan media sosial. dengan melibatkan 11 peternak dari Kandang Sapi Arfhan dan kelompok peternak di desa tersebut. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi saat kegiatan, serta wawancara dan angket dengan total 9 pertanyaan pasca kegiatan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 60% peserta sangat puas dengan pelatihan, dengan peningkatan hardskill penggunaan platform digital sebesar 73% dan kebutuhan pendampingan lanjutan mencapai 73%. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peternak tentang digital marketing dan berpotensi meningkatkan penjualan sapi secara signifikan.Abstract: In the digital era, cattle farmers in Tanjung Gusta Village face significant challenges in marketing their products, primarily due to limited access and knowledge of digital technology. This community service program aims to enhance farmers' hard skills through training and support in using the Silembu.com platform and digital marketing techniques to enhance market reach. The implementation methods included the development of the platform concept, education on the importance of digital marketing, workshops on using Silembu.com, and integration with social media, involving 11 farmers from Kandang Sapi Arfhan and local farmer groups. Evaluation was conducted through observation during the activities, as well as interviews, and questionnaires with a total of 9 questions after the activities Results showed that 60% of participants were very satisfied with the training, with a 73% increase in digital platform hardskills and a 73% need for ongoing support. The program successfully enhanced farmers' understanding of digital marketing and has the potential to significantly boost cattle sales.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a constructivism-based e-module that is valid, practical, and effective, so that it can assist students in understanding the material for a two-variable linear equation system. The research instruments used were lesson plans, material validation sheets and e-module media, learning outcomes tests, and student and teacher response questionnaire sheets. After all instruments, lesson plans, and e-modules were declared valid by the validator, then readability tests and field trials were carried out. The results showed that: (1) the developed E-Module had met the validity values, namely (3.37 and 3.25) with a very feasible category; (2) The developed E-Module has met the practical value (79.75% and 90.5%) with very practical category; (3) The developed E-Module meets the effective criteria with the completeness of student learning outcomes that meet the criteria, namely 85% of students have obtained a score of 75 and the achievement of each indicator/learning objective is more than 65% of the total students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa melalui model Case Based Learning (CBL) di kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 17 Medan, (2) Mengetahui proses jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaiakan masalah yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model Case Based Learning (CBL) di kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 17 Medan T.A 2021/2022 yang berjumlah 30 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model case based learning pada materi statistika. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dimana diakhiri setiap siklus diberikan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa untuk mengetahui tingkat kemmapuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. (1) Dari hasil analisis data pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata klasikal sebesar 59,9 dimana 12 siswa (40%) dari 30 siswa telah mencapai standar berpikir kritis dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 83,73 dimana 26 siswa (86,67%) dari 30 siswa telah mencapai standard berpikir kritis yang ditargetkan. (2) Proses penyelesaian jawaban siswa dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis sudah baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari siswa sudah mampu menyelesaikan kasus dengan langkah-langkah penyelesaian pada materi statistika yang tepat serta berkurangnya kesalahan siswa dalam dalam berhitung. Proses jawaban pada tes kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus I adalah 43,33% dan meningkat menjadi 83,33% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa meningkat dengan menerapkan model Case Based Learning di kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 17 Medan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach supported by GeoGebra software in improving students' learning outcomes. The research method employed is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 27 students from class IX-7 at SMPN 27 Medan, who participated in mathematics learning using the RME approach assisted by GeoGebra. Data collection was conducted through learning outcome tests, which were then analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the paired sample t-test. The analysis results indicate that the pretest and posttest data are normally distributed, with the t-test yielding a t-value of -9.0872 and a p-value of 1.496e-09, demonstrating a significant improvement in learning outcomes after implementing the RME approach with GeoGebra. The average difference between pretest and posttest scores was -20.25926, with a 95% confidence interval (-24.84191 to -15.67660). These findings confirm that the RME approach supported by GeoGebra is effective in enhancing students' mathematical understanding and skills.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of KKNI assignments on sleep quality and productivity among 2023 Construction Management students at Universitas Negeri Medan. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational survey design, this research measures the relationship between KKNI assignment workload, sleep disturbances, and their effects on students' academic productivity. The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicate that late-night study habits, reduced sleep duration, and fatigue during lectures due to KKNI assignments significantly affect student productivity. Students who frequently stay up late experience a decline in productivity due to disruptions in physical and mental recovery. Although some students can adapt to academic pressure, the negative effects of sleep deprivation outweigh the productivity gains from academic demands. This study provides valuable insights for educational institutions in formulating more balanced academic policies to support student well-being. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh tugas KKNI terhadap kualitas tidur dan produktivitas mahasiswa Manajemen Konstruksi Universitas Negeri Medan angkatan 2023. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan desain survei korelasional, penelitian ini mengukur hubungan antara beban tugas KKNI dengan gangguan tidur dan dampaknya terhadap produktivitas akademik mahasiswa. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan tidur larut malam, berkurangnya waktu tidur, serta rasa lelah saat kuliah akibat tugas KKNI memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap produktivitas mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang sering begadang mengalami penurunan produktivitas akibat terganggunya proses pemulihan fisik dan mental. Meskipun sebagian mahasiswa dapat beradaptasi dengan tekanan akademik, efek negatif dari kurang tidur lebih dominan dibandingkan peningkatan produktivitas akibat tekanan akademik. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi institusi pendidikan dalam menyusun kebijakan akademik yang lebih seimbang guna menjaga kesejahteraan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of student satisfaction with the facilities and infrastructure available at the Medan State University (Unimed) Dormitory. Adequate facilities have an important role in creating a comfortable learning environment and supporting academic productivity. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach through a survey method, by distributing questionnaires to 23 respondents who are dormitory residents. The results of the analysis show that the level of student satisfaction with dormitory facilities varies. The security and comfort aspects of the study rooms received positive responses, while the availability of water, bathroom cleanliness, and the quality of the internet network are still factors that cause dissatisfaction. Although most respondents expressed satisfaction with the general cleanliness of the dormitories, improvements are still needed in terms of management services, facility maintenance, and the development of supporting infrastructure. The conclusion of this study shows that although some aspects of the facilities have met the standards, improvements are still needed in the management of facilities and infrastructure to increase student satisfaction. Improving the quality of facilities is expected to create a dormitory atmosphere that is safer, more comfortable, and conducive to the continuity of the student academic process.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to minimize the low activity and mathematics learning outcomes of Binjai 14 Public Middle School students in the matter of the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPDLV). The recipients of the action were class VIII 2 students at SMP Negeri 14 Binjai with a total of 32 students. The data collection technique for this action was carried out in a qualitative descriptive way through the cycle stages with two rounds where each round consisted of two meetings. The results of this study are increased activity and student learning outcomes by using the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type. From the results of the initial test data obtained 28 students (87,5%) of 32 students with an average of 50,29%. The results of data analysis in cycle I after the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type showed that the number of students who achieved mastery learning was 25 students (78,12%) out of 32 students with a class average of 75%. In cycle II, 28 students (87,5%) achieved a mastery level with a class average of 80,79%. There was an increase from cycle I to cycle II. Likewise with student activities while learning took place in cycle I, the number of students who had a percentage of activity ≥ 70% classically was 2 students (6.25%) of 32 students and at the end of cycle II it increased to 28 students (87,5%). The classical increase in activity from cycle I to cycle II was 30%. So this study concluded that through the TGT learning model it can increase students' activity and learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills after using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Geogebra media and to find out how students' answers process in solving problems on the mathematical creative thinking ability test after applying the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Geogebra media. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was conducted in two cycles, the subjects in the study were class IX-3 MTs Citra Abdi Negoro, totaling 27 students. This research is said to be successful if it meets the indicators of success, namely, (1) The level of students' mathematical creative thinking ability increases with a value of ≥ 85% at least in the medium category, (2) The process of completing student answers with a value of ≥60% at least in the good category, (3) The results student and teacher observations show a good category. Based on the results of the study, the average initial ability test score of 58.10 increased to 61.34 in cycle I and 80.55 in cycle II. There was also an increase in classical completeness, in the creative thinking ability test of 8 students (29.63%) in the initial ability test increased to 12 students (44.44%) in cycle I and 25 students (92.59%) in cycle II. For the process of student answers from cycle I with an average presentation of 50 students' answer processes, 31% increased to 70.67% in cycle II. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Geogebra media can improve students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis yakni keterampilan krusial dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun studi awal tunjukkan bahwa taraf keahlian ini pada siswa SMP IT Al-Hijrah Medan masih rendah. Mengingat pentingnya komunikasi matematis sebagai alat untuk pahami konsep dan memecahkan masalah, serta peran kepribadian dalam mekanisme belajar, Teori tipe kepribadian David Keirsey dan cara siswa SMP IT Al-Hijrah Medan berkomunikasi matematis khususnya bahan ajar Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dalam David Keirsey, ada empat tipe kepribadian David Keirsey: Artisan, Idealis, Guardian, dan Rational. Studi ini memakai pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. 27 siswa SMP IT Al-Hijrah Medan kelas VIII-A dan VIII-C akan jadi subjek penelitian selama semester genap tahun akademik 2024/2025. Tiga cara utama untuk mengumpulkan data ialah angket kepribadian David Keirsey, wawancara menyeluruh dengan delapan subjek yang dipilih, dan ujian kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis yang terdiri dari empat soal uraian. Penyajian, penarikan kesimpulan, dan reduksi ialah komponen analisis data, sepadan dengan pendekatan Miles dan Huberman. Untuk memastikan bahwa hasilnya benar, data ditriangulasi. Hasil riset tunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berkomunikasi matematis masing-masing tipe kepribadian berbeda. Artisan cuma bisa penuhi satu kriteria, yakni Teks Tertulis; lebih baik, yang penuhi dua kriteria, yakni Teks Tertulis dan Ekspresi Matematis; dan Perwira juga penuhi dua kriteria, yakni Teks Tertulis dan Ekspresi Matematis.
