Abstract

Telah dilakukan PKM pembuatan tepung cacing tanah pada ibu-ibu PKK RT 2 RW 3 Desa Sumberdukun Ngariboyo Magetan sebagai alternatif penghasilan tambahan dalam membantu pendapatan suami di bidang pertanian. PKM dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan dengan keberhasilan diukur melalui monitoring lapangan dan angket survey. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa PKM berjalan dengan baik dan efektif yang ditunjukkan dengan keterampilan peserta menghasilkan tepung cacing tanah berkualitas yang dapat dilihat dari produk tepung yang dihasilkan. Peserta dapat menyerap bekal manajemen bahan, manajemen usaha serta kewirausahaan dengan baik.

Abstract

This social responsibility (PKM) activity aims to carry out technical training in the preparation of scientific paper and reference management using the Zotero application in writing scientific paper. This activity is applied to the association of Chemistry teachers in Blitar District. The training and mentoring activities consisted of theory and practice with a composition of 30% for theory and 70% for practice, while the m echanism of the workshop activities included preparation, the seminar, and the training phases. Based on the activities carried out, the results show that the implementation of this social responsibilituy activity went well and smoothly, judging from the fact that most participants were quite able to apply Zotero in making excerpts of scientific paper and enthusiastic participants showed high enthusiasm.

Abstract

This research aims to synthesize and characterize nanocomposite film with nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) durian peel waste filler. Nanocomposite film was prepared by adding NCC with concentrations of 0%, 1%, 3%, 5%, and 7% to each mixture of chitosan and guar gum. Characterization of nanocomposite film includes tensile strength test, elongation test, water-resistance test, and biodegradability. Nanocomposite film with NCC 7% showed a tensile strength value of 21.988 MPa; elongation of 10.3%; and experienced degradability of 4.05 mg/day, besides the characterization of the equal distribution of NCC in the chitosan-guar gum matrix was proven from the SEM results.

Abstract

Dalam upaya membekali siswa menghadapi tantangan abad 21, penilaian yang dikembangkan oleh guru diharapkan dapat mendorong peningkatan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, meningkatkan kreativitas, dan membangun kemandirian siswa untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Tingkat pemahaman dan kemampuan guru mata pelajaran IPA SMA Kabupaten Gresik dalam menyusun soal berbasis higher order thinking skills (HOTS) masih kurang sehingga diperlukan pelatihan untuk mengatatasi permasalahn mitra tersebut. Sebanyak 19 orang terdiri dari guru mata pelajaran Fisika, Kimia dan Biologi, dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara luring di SMAN 1 Manyar Gresik, pada hari Sabtu, 23 Juli 2022, dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan secara daring menggunakan zoom meeting pada hari Sabtu, 6 Agustus 2022. Kegiatan diawali dengan penyajian materi pelatihan oleh Tim PKM, dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan pembuatan soal berbasis HOTS melalui diskusi dan presentasi. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan refleksi dan pemberian angket. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian terhadap produk soal HOTS yang dihasilkan melalui penugasan secara mandiri, peserta pelatihan telah memiliki kemampuan dalam menyusun soal berbasis HOTS dengan kategori cukup baik dengan skor rata-rata 78,14. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan bahwa peserta memberikan respon respon yang sangat baik dari terhadap pelatihan yang telah dilaksanakan. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of differentiated learning materials oriented toward the nature of science (NoS) to improve students’ scientific literacy skills. The research type is quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The research was given to 31 students in VIII-A class of Junior High School 16 Gresik. The effectiveness of differentiated learning materials oriented toward the nature of science (NoS) was obtained from the scientific literacy skills test and student response questionnaire. The student’s scientific literacy skills test showed an improvement in gain score between the pretest and posttest scores of 0.64, which is in the medium category; besides that, most students gave positive responses to the learning materials seen from the percentage of interest in learning materials 84.68% (very interested). The data obtained showed that differentiated learning materials oriented toward the nature of science were effective as learning materials to improve students’ scientific literacy skills in Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

- Alkyd resin is a modified polyester with the addition of fatty acids and other components. Alkyds are derived from polyols and organic acids including dicarboxylic acids or anhydrous carboxylic acids and triglyceride oils. The quality of an alkyd resin is determined based on its parameters including solid content, viscosity, acid number, color and clarity. High acid numbers can cause the paint to turn yellow easily, therefore accuracy is needed in analyzing acid numbers. To determine the acid number is done by acidimetric titration method. Products A, B, and C were weighed respectively: 0.5g, 2g, 4g, 6g, 8g, 10g, 12g, 14g, into a 300 ml erlenmeyer which already contained 100 ml of solvent. Enter the magnetic stirrer and stir until completely dissolved over the electric heater. Add 2 drops of 1% phenolphthalein indicator into the Erlenmeyer. Pour the 0.2 alcoholic KOH solution into a 50 ml burette. The titration was carried out until the solution changed from colorless to pink. Record the volume obtained (ml). From the research conducted, the smaller the sample being weighed, the larger the deviation from the analysis of the acid number from the theoretical weighing sample (10 grams). Based on the % accuracy allowed is 3%, the weighing variable that can be tolerated is 8–14 grams. Weighing samples less than 8 grams or above 14 grams will produce acid numbers which have very large deviations. Key words: Alkyd resin, Acid number, KOH solution, Titration

Abstract

The delivery of chemistry learning lacking meaning and coherence is often associated with the occurrence of misconceptions. These misconceptions when not detected from the start, may persist and affect the understanding of subsequent materials. Therefore, this research aimed to identify misconceptions and understanding of concepts among students, with a focus on factors causing misconceptions about thermochemical materials. A quantitative descriptive approach was used with the four-tier multiple-choice test and questionnaire instruments. The samples comprised students in class XI Science at SMA Kawung 1 Surabaya. The results showed a profile of misconceptions about thermochemical material consisting of system and environment sub-concepts, types of systems, endothermic and exothermic reactions, types of enthalpy, as well as changes in reaction enthalpy. About 15% of students understood the concept, 31% had misconceptions, and 54% did not understand. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach as best practice in enhancing the questioning abilities of middle school students through Problem-Based Learning (PBL). CRT is integrated with PBL to create a learning experience that is more relevant and engaging for students. This research utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods within a classroom action research design. The sample includes 7th-grade students from SMP Negeri 5 Ponorogo as the main subjects. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and surveys to evaluate changes in students' learning interests with the implementation of the CRT approach. The results are expected to provide in-depth insights into the positive impact of CRT implementation on middle school students' questioning abilities through PBL. The implications of this research include recommendations for curriculum development, teacher training, and the development of more contextual learning strategies to enhance questioning skills at the middle school level. The findings show that the CRT approach positively affects the enhancement of students' questioning abilities, marked by an increase in the number of students asking questions and achieving a target of 25% of the total class number. Abstract

The writing of this article examines how solutions using geology can be cultivated in the management of historical sites as community ecotourism and community economic activities. The geotourism management paradigm is how tourism management can optimize the natural potential (geology) to add value to the economic well-being of local people living in the Kayangan Api area and minimize potential natural damage in Kayangan Api environment. The method used in this study is Kayangan Api tourist observation, expert interviews (guards) and literacy surveys. Therefore, this paper proposes a tourism management model. Geotourism management is grouped under five main focuses, including the formulation of natural opportunities used in tourism activities, the description of criteria for geotourism sites (Kayangan Api), the management of geotourism (Kayangan Api), and the explanation of geotourism activities and finally the indicators of success or Kayangan Api Bojonegoro Geotourism Print.
