Abstract

Bioconversion of organic waste into biogas has been studied using a variation of effective micro-organisms starter, EM4. Optimum bioconversion resulted in the addition of EM4 9% to produce biogas as much as 328.17 ml. Biogas at optimum bioconversion conditions had the composition of methane gas 61.97% and 36.04% carbon dioxide.

Abstract

This research is the development of the design of the learning materials used a model of Dick and Carey and tested in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Dlanggu even semester in academic year of 2015/2016. Learning takes place by applying the based of guided inquiry learning materials. The research subjectives are learning materials. The data collections used validation, observation, test, and questionnaires methods. The results showed that: (1) a valid learning materials developed; (2) the learning process took place well; (3) the students were more active in learning; (4) the learning achievement of students has increased by a score of N-gain high category; (5) the students responded positively towards learning. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning based materials that have been developed feasible used to improve student learning achievement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan desain perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Dick and Carey dan diujicobakan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Dlanggu tahun ajaran 2015/2016.  Pembelajaran dilakukan dengan cara menerapkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Sasaran penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi, tes dan angket. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid; (2) pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori sangat baik; (3) hasil belajar siswa  mengalami peningkatan dengan skor N-gain berkategori tinggi; (4) Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning materials on shape of the molecule with the real modeling supported by PhET media-based on guided discovery to facilitate the students’ high-order-thinking skills at odd semester XI class of SMAN 10. This research is developmental research using 4D models. Thetest of the learning materials use one group pretest-posttest design. The results of validity syllabus (3.87), lesson plans (3.71), students’ book (3.35), work sheet (3.63), and test of products (3.58) are categorized very good and reliability syllabus (99%), lesson plans (100%), students’ book (89%), work sheet (100%), and test of products (100%) are categorized reliable. The Achievement test of higher-order thinking skills showed that the individuals completeness an average score of 82.79, the average sensitivity of items was 0.74 and the average individual gain score of 0.82. Students' response to the learning and teaching activities in average were well-categorized. Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that the shape of molecule with the real modeling supported by PhET media based on guided discovery–was effective to train the students' higher-order thinking skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmendeskripsikan efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran bentuk molekul dengan pemodelan real ditunjang media PhET berbasis penemuan terbimbinguntuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas XI semester ganjil SMAN 10 Samarinda pada materi bentuk molekul.Perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan dikembangkan dengan model 4D. Perangkatpembelajaran di uji cobakan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Validitas Silabus (3,87), RPP (3,71), BAS (3,35), LKS (3,63), dan LP Produk (3,58) berkategori sangat baik dan reliabilitas Silabus (99%), RPP (100%), BAS (89), LKS (100%), LP Produk (100%) berkategori reliabel. Tes hasil belajar keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi menunjukkan ketuntasan individual rata-rata 82,79, sensitivitas butir soal rata-rata 0,74 dan gain score individual rata-rata 0,82. Respon siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran dan kegiatan pembelajaran rata-rata baik.Berdasarkan temuan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran bentuk molekul dengan pemodelan real ditunjang media PhET berbasis model penemuan terbimbingefektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan PKM pembuatan tepung cacing tanah pada ibu-ibu PKK RT 2 RW 3 Desa Sumberdukun Ngariboyo Magetan sebagai alternatif penghasilan tambahan dalam membantu pendapatan suami di bidang pertanian. PKM dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan dengan keberhasilan diukur melalui monitoring lapangan dan angket survey. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa PKM berjalan dengan baik dan efektif yang ditunjukkan dengan keterampilan peserta menghasilkan tepung cacing tanah berkualitas yang dapat dilihat dari produk tepung yang dihasilkan. Peserta dapat menyerap bekal manajemen bahan, manajemen usaha serta kewirausahaan dengan baik.

Abstract

This social responsibility (PKM) activity aims to carry out technical training in the preparation of scientific paper and reference management using the Zotero application in writing scientific paper. This activity is applied to the association of Chemistry teachers in Blitar District. The training and mentoring activities consisted of theory and practice with a composition of 30% for theory and 70% for practice, while the m echanism of the workshop activities included preparation, the seminar, and the training phases. Based on the activities carried out, the results show that the implementation of this social responsibilituy activity went well and smoothly, judging from the fact that most participants were quite able to apply Zotero in making excerpts of scientific paper and enthusiastic participants showed high enthusiasm.

Abstract

This study aims to examine asiatic acid from Barringtonia asiatica seed extract as an anti-cataract. The presence of asiatic acid in the extract was confirmed using LCMS. The study was conducted using the HKSA method and it is independent of the molecular docking method. Molecular modeling was carried out using the Avogadro program. Descriptors computation using NWChem (DFT method, 6-311G base set), Swiss ADME, Molinspiration, and ADMET. Molecular tethering and visualization using Autodock Tools 1.5.6. and Discovery Studio 2019 Client. The best compounds that fight against cataracts are 9- (methoxymethyl)-1,2,6a, 6b, 9,12a-hexamethyl-10,11-dioxo-1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,6a, 6b,7,8,8a, 9,10,11,12,12a, 12b,13,14b-icosahydropicene-4a carboxylic acid. The equation:Log P = 25.593 + (- 0.136) * PSA + (-1.694) * Surface area + (-0.015) * Volume + (1.368) * molar refraction + (0.129) * LUMO + (- 7.007) * HOMO + (- 0.117) ) * E DFT + (-0.037) * E Hydration + (- 0.262) * PolarizationThis molecule was confirmed to be anti-cataract based on the molecular docking against the 4JGF protein target which produced binding energy and inhibition constants of -8.78 and 0.3368 uM.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the extract of red trunk binahong seed as a dye in Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). (Anredera cordifolia) characterization was carried out by UV-Visible spectrophotometry and resulted in absorption at a wavelength of 537 nm, purification the extract of red trunk binahong seed was carried out by column chromatography using methanol: ethyl acetate as  solvent with ratio of 3: 2 and 10 fractions color were produced. The identification of compounds and functional groups were analyzed by FTIR which showed the presence of betalain derivatives, namely betanidine, betanine, and neobetanin. Molecular weight analysis was carried out by LC-MS and the molecular weight of betanidine was 386.3171. The voltage and current from the DSSC results were measured using  multimeter, the efficiency of the extract of red trunk binahong seed was 0.64% and the one that experienced a change in color to orange was 0.55%.Keywords:, betalain, betanidine, betanine, DSSC, red trunk binahong

Abstract

Enkapsulasi asam klorogenat ekstrak umbi yakon merupakan salah satu cara untuk melindungi senyawa-senyawa aktif menggunakan paduan polimer alam kappa karagenan-locust bean gum dengan penggunaan ion K+ sebagai pengikat matriks melalui metode gelasi ionik. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pembentukan gel dari kappa karagenan dan locust bean gum dengan bantuan larutan KCl. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi larutan KCl pada pembentukan gel serta efektifitas enkapsulasinya. Bertambahnya konsentrasi larutan KCl juga membuat gel menjadi lebih kaku. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan larutan KCl 0,3M dapat menghasilkan nilai efisiensi enkapsulasi sebesar 79,44%. Kemiripan spektra IR antara gel kappa karagenan-locust bean gum, asam klorogenat murni dan asam klorogenat terenkapsulasi menunjukkan bahwa asam klorogenat hanya terperangkap secara fisik dalam matriks kappa karagenan-locust bean gum dan perubahan spektra karakteristik dari kappa karagenan dari 1018 cm-1 menjadi 1023,62 cm-1 pada sampel hasil enkapsulasi menunjukkan adanya interaksi antara gugus OH dari locust bean gum dan kappa karagenan. Kata kunci: asam klorogenat; enkapsulasi; kappa karagenan, locust bean gum, Yakon The encapsulation of chlorogenic acid of yacon tuber extract is one way to protect the active compounds using naturals polymers kappa carrageenan-locust bean gum with K+ ions as a matrix binder through the ionic gelation method. This process was carried out by forming a gel from kappa carrageenan and locust bean gum with the help of KCl solution. This encapsulation process has purposes to determine the effect of the concentration of KCl solution on gel formation and the effectiveness of its encapsulation. The test results indicated that the use of 0.3M KCl solution resulted in an encapsulation efficiency value of 79.44%. The bonding between the two polymers and the K+ cation was thought to result in a higher encapsulation effectiveness. The similarity of IR spectra among kappa carrageenan-locust bean gum gel, pure chlorogenic acid and encapsulated chlorogenic acid showed that chlorogenic acid was only trapped physically in the kappa carrageenan-locust bean gum matrix and the shift of kappa carrageenan peak from 1018 cm-1 to 1023,62 cm-1 of the encapsulated sample had shown an interaction between OH groups from locust bean gum and kappa carrageenan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan obat kanker kolon dengan bahan baku senyawa asam Elagat dan turunannya menggunakan metode Hubungan Kuantitatif Struktur-aktivasi (HKSA) dan penambatan molekular. Deskriptor yang dipakai HKSA meliputi deskriptor elektronik, sterik, dan hidrofobik. Karakter dari masing-masing deskriptor dikomputasikan menggunakan software NWchem dan MarvinSketch dengan teori HF (Hartree-Fock). Penambatan molekul dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Autodock Tools dan Biovia. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa model persamaan terbaik HKSA senyawa bahan obat dari asam elagat dan turunanya adalah Log P = -7.103 + (-0.005*PSA) + (-0.729*MR) + (0.003*Volume) + (0.002*SA) + (-99.912*Homo) + (-38.893*Lumo)+ (-0.072*MD)+ (0.006*Eh) + (1.409*P) yang diperoleh untuk senyawa 2,3,7-trichloro-8-methoxychromeno[5,4,3-cde]chromene-5,10-dione. Hasil penambatan molekular tersebut memiliki energi ikat sebesar -9.94 kkal/mol dan konstanta inhibisinya 51,54 nM. Kata kunci: asam elagat, HKSA, kanker kolon, penambatan molekular This study aimed to develop a colon cancer drug with a raw material of ellagic acid and its derivatives using the Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) method and molecular docking. The descriptors used in QSAR were electronic, steric, and hydrophobic descriptors. The characters of each descriptor were computed using NWchem and MarvinSketch software with the HF (Hartree-Fock ) theory. Molecular docking was performed using Autodock Tools and Biovia software. The results show that the best equation of QSAR model for medicinal compounds from ellagic acid and derivatives was Log P = -7.103 + (-0.005 * PSA) + (-0.729 * MR) + (0.003 * Volume) + (0.002 * SA) + (- 99,912 * Homo) + (-38,893 * Lumo) + (-0.072 * MD) + (0.006 * Eh) + (1.409 * P) obtained for 2,3,7-trichloro-8-methoxychromeno [5,4, 3-cde] chromene-5,10-dione compound. The result of molecular docking had a binding energy of -9.94 kcal/mol and an inhibition constant of 51.54 nM. Keywords: colon cncer, ellagic acid, molecular docking, QSAR.
