Abstract

Minimnya pemahaman mahasiswa tentang manfaat Program Kampus Mengajar menjadi kendala utama, karena jika mahasiswa tidak melihat hubungan antara program tersebut dan pengembangan karir mereka, minat mereka dapat berkurang. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, perlu dilakukan upaya meningkatkan pemahaman, komunikasi efektif, dan dukungan menyeluruh dari perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang menghambat minat mahasiswa dalam mengikuti Program Kampus Mengajar di Departemen Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Padang. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, studi melibatkan mahasiswa Teknik Mesin sebagai subjek penelitian, dengan proses penelitian mencakup validasi instrumen dan pengumpulan data. Instrumen penelitian dianggap sangat valid dan reliabel oleh dua validator. Analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan perangkat lunak Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor intrinsik dan ekstrinsik mempengaruhi minat mahasiswa dalam mengikuti Program Kampus Mengajar, dengan kontribusi sebesar 75%. Motivasi memiliki dampak positif signifikan pada program ini, dengan Path Coefficient sebesar 0,458, t-statistik (3,039), dan p-values sebesar 0,002. Sementara faktor-faktor lain seperti ketertarikan, aktivitas, lingkungan, dan dosen memberikan dampak positif namun tidak signifikan, sementara indikator perhatian dan dukungan orang tua memberikan dampak negatif pada minat mahasiswa. Hubungan positif dengan anggota fakultas, meskipun ada, tidak signifikan. Kesimpulan analisis menegaskan peran kunci dan signifikan motivasi dalam mendorong partisipasi mahasiswa. Perlu dicatat bahwa penelitian ini terbatas pada satu departemen, dan generalisasi temuan perlu dilakukan dengan hati-hati.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki korelasi antara prestasi akademis dalam penggunaan teknik permesinan bubut dan tingkat motivasi belajar yang dimiliki oleh para siswa. Metode penelitian ini melibatkan penerapan kuesioner, pencatatan nilai, dan dokumentasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dalam konteks penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Dhuafa Padang, dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari para siswa kelas XI di Jurusan Teknik sedang mengeksplore beragam konsep dan praktik teknis Permesinan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari dengan melibatkan partisipasi 21 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang kuat dan berarti antara tingkat motivasi belajar dan pencapaian akademis dalam Mata Pelajaran Bubut untuk siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Teknik Permesinan di SMK Dhuafa Padang. Koefisien korelasi yang tercatat Motivasi belajar berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan prestasi belajar dalam Mata Pelajaran (r = 0,460, p < 0,05) sebesar 0,036. Studi ini memberikan sumbangan penting dalam memperluas pemahaman tentang peran krusial motivasi belajar dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademis siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran teknik permesinan. Dengan menyadari keterkaitan yang penting antara motivasi belajar dan prestasi akademis, lembaga pendidikan dan para pendidik dapat menerapkan strategi yang lebih efisien Untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar para murid tujuan mencapai prestasi belajar yang lebih optimal dalam pelajaran teknik permesinan

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa dijadikan sebagai tolak ukur keberhasilan belajar. Tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran pada kelas XI yang sedang belajar Teknik Merancang dengan CAM. Hal ini merupakan hasil dari implementasi model pembelajaran yang sama secara terus-menerus oleh pendidik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran beracuan proyek untuk peningkatan ketuntasan belajar di kelas. Tiga puluh siswa kelas XI TPM 2 menjadi partisipan penelitian pada penelitian yang memakai jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitain ini selesai pada bulan April 2024 dalam 2 siklus. Hasil ujian pilihan ganda memaparkan bahwa hasil belajar di kelas mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dari penerapan siklus 1, siswa belajar rata-rata pada siklus 2 nilai belajar 86,1 dimana mengalami kenaikan pada siklus 1 yang sebelumnya 79. Di siklus 1 proporsi ketuntasan kelas sebesar 53%; pada siklus 2 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 87%. Alat ukur penelitian ini meliputi lembar penilaian proyek, soal pilihan ganda, dan lembar observasi. KKM 80 merupakan tolak ukur keberhasilan penelitian yang ditentukan, yang mensyaratkan ketuntasan klasikal minimal 80%. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah hasil belajar siswa di kelas yang lebih baik dicapai pada pelajaran Teknik Merancang dengan CAM menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

Effective learning strategies are needed to improve student learning activities. One approach that can be used by teachers is the use of innovative learning media such as Gimkit. The purpose of this research is to create a Gimkit-based learning media for Metal Inert Gas topic that is valid, practical, and effective. R&D (Research and Development) is the chosen method, and the IDI development model consists of three stages: defining, developing, and evaluating. The results of validation conducted by expert lecturers and subject teachers show that this learning media has a very high validity value in terms of material/content, media, and language. Teachers received a score of 92.5% in the practicality test, placing it in the very practical category. In addition, better learning outcomes after using Gimkit were demonstrated, with an average pretest score of 77 and an average posttest score of 82 respectively. In conclusion, the developed Gimkit-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable to be used as a tool that supports learning.

Abstract

Implementing Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a way to prevent occupational hazards. Initial observations showed that students did not follow the OHS guidelines. This problem is suspicious because SMK has not established safety measures in the workplace. Students still do not understand OHS, so it requires development so that the application of work safety can adjusted to normal demands of industry. If this is left unchecked, SMK graduates will become less capable. The Destination of occupational safety and health is to establish a prosperous, safe, and healthy work environment and society. With OHS, a workforce that is free from accidents and has good physical, mental and social health will create a safe working environment. The purpose of implementing OSH is very important to maximise the results achieved because it ensures the safety and security of workers, as well as the security of facilities and infrastructure, and prevents accidents. This study found a significant relationship between OHS knowledge and student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the test results. Twenty students from grades XI and XII in the Mechanical Engineering Department participated in this study during January - June 2023/2024. The value showed a Substansial relationship between OHS knowledge and student performance at SMK Pembangunan Bukittinggi. This was confirmed by the regression test results, with an R value > 0.657 which R table value of 0.444, thus supporting the research hypothesis.

Theì data analysis teìchniqueì useìs SPSS softwareì with correìlation analysis that looks for variableì reìlationships. As a reìsult of theì data deìscription, a positiveì and significant reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì impleìmeìntation of K3 and theì leìarning outcomeìs of Prakeìrin studeìnts in gradeì XI of Machining Eìngineìeìring SMK Neìgeìri 1 Padang was 0.490. at a significanceì leìveìl of 0.05 That this can proveì a positiveì influeìnceì beìtweìeìn theì two variableìs. Meìanwhileì, theì deìteìrminant valueì (R2) is 0.185. This meìans that theì reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì application of K3 and theì leìarning outcomeìs of latheì practiceì has a weìak cateìgory. From this, it can beì concludeìd that many factors affeìct theì impleìmeìntation of studeìnt K3, of which oneì of theìseì many things is studeìnt leìarning outcomeìs.

Abstract

The main problems in this research are: (1) How does independence influence student learning outcomes? (2) How does discipline influence student learning outcomes, and (3) How does independence and discipline influence student learning outcomes. The objectives of this research were designed to: (1) To determine the increase in student independence regarding learning outcomes in the SMAW welding subject class XI TLAS at SMK Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. (2) To determine the increase in student discipline towards learning outcomes in the SMAW welding subject class Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. This research applies a correlational method. The sample for the research carried out was 16 students of class XI TLAS SMK Negeri 2 Bengkulu City. The independence and discipline questionnaire uses a Likert scale and test questions to collect data. Data were analyzed through correlation analysis and multiple regression. Student independence has the strongest correlation with learning outcomes (0.613), followed by discipline (0.589). The significant relationship between independence and discipline on learning outcomes (0.681) shows that these two variables complement each other. The conclusion from this research is that independence and discipline have a significant influence on student learning outcomes

Abstract

A person who is involved in the learning process regularly because of pleasure without external pressure is said to have an interest in learning. This interest is a relatively constant and enduring disposition, usually focused on one particular activity such as computers, science, athletics, music, or dancing. Based on observations during the Field Experience Practice (PPL), number of problems were found related to student interest in SMAW subjects. Some of these problems include student disinterest due to the use of less than optimal learning media and lecture methods that make students bored, fall asleep, or lose focus. Some students even refuse to complete the assigned tasks, indicating low interest in learning. Because interest in learning has a major influence on learning outcomes, it is important for students to understand school standards. This study uses a quantitative method to investigate the relationship between interest in learning and learning outcomes. This study collected and analyzed data using SPSS software. Subjects of the study were 25 grade XI Las students, and the independent variable was interest in learning as measured through the use of the Welducation application. The results of the analysis show that the average value of students' learning interest is 131.40 with a standard deviation of 15.047. Meanwhile, the average value of students' learning outcomes is 86.32 with a standard deviation of 0.985. The results of the hypothesis test show a significant relationship between learning interest and learning outcomes with a correlation coefficient of 0.899 and a significance value of 0.000.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of a video-assisted Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes, while controlling for learning motivation as a covariate. It was motivated by the low academic performance of Grade XI of lathe machining engineering. A quasi-experimental design with a post-test-only control-group format was employed. The sample comprised 62 students, divided into an experimental group (n = 32), which received the video-assisted PBI treatment, and a control group (n = 30), which was taught via conventional methods. Data were collected through an objective achievement test and a learning-motivation questionnaire, and were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results indicated a significant difference in mean post-test scores between the two groups, with the experimental group achieving a higher mean score (M = 85.2) than the control group (M = 74.4). ANCOVA confirmed that the video-assisted PBI model had a statistically significant effect on learning outcomes (F(1, 59) = 26.268, p < 0.001), with a large effect size (partial ?² = 0.308). Learning motivation also emerged as a significant covariate (F(1, 59) = 6.437, p = 0.014; partial ?² = 0.098), indicating a moderate influence. These findings suggest that the video-assisted PBI model is effective in enhancing cognitive achievement, and that students’ motivation plays an important supporting role. Abstract

Background. The blistering working development of intelligent manufacturing technologies due to the Industry 4.0 level achievements has had a considerable impact on industrial practice, which generates an urgent demand among vocational graduates who can not only be highly qualified in their technical skills but also adapt to the new digital tools. Traditional methods of teaching Production Engineering and NC (Numerical Control) Programming also favor theory rather than practice leading to a disconnect between the theoretical content of classroom study and practical needs in the industry. Purpose. This research aims on creating and executing a Smart Manufacturing-Oriented Project-Based Learning (PBL) Model that will help to combine the real-world industrial problems with the latest technologies CNC simulation software and digital manufacturing instruments. Method. This study employs a Research and Developmet (R&D), with 68 students of vocational higher education who were taking Production Engineering and NC Programming courses as sample. Performance assessments, observational analysis, and feedback surveys were used to collect the data. Results. Findings indicate that the suggested model significantly enhanced the proficiency of students to learn and master NC programming, optimization of production workflow, and solve problems in the technology-saturated settings. There was also an improvement in collaboration, project management, and adaptation of smart manufacturing tools by students. The model ensures a closer alignment between student learning outcomes and industry performance requirement through smart technnology integration. To sum up, the Smart Manufacturing-Oriented PBL Model is an effective approach that helps to bridge the gap between the academic and the industrial community and develop industry-oriented skills and equip graduates with the requirements of digitalized manufacturing industries. Conclusion. This study provides a flexible and generalizable model of applying smart manufacturing concepts to the technical education in order to make graduates more employable in the dynamic industrial environment.
