Abstract

Abstract. The negative effects of the high ash content of coal results in cement factories, air pollution and other damaging effects. In addition, it is also inefficient if it is used for carbonization, combustion, gasification, and liquefaction purposes. Therefore we need a way to reduce the ash content of coal. The process of reducing coal ash content is known as deashing. The most effective deashing method is chemical washing of coal using alkaline and acid solutions, also known as the leaching method. KOH and HNO3 are the solvents most commonly used as leaching agents in the deashing process. The coal used in this study is Seam C coal from the CV. Tahiti Coal Sawahlunto. Seam C coal has an ash content of 16.5%. Coal samples were leached using KOH and HNO3 with variations of 5%, 10%, 20%, and 30% for KOH while the concentration of HNO3 was 10%. After leaching the samples were analyzed using the LECO TGA701. The optimum conditions were obtained at concentrations of KOH and HNO3 of 30% and 10%.Keywords: deashing, coal, ash, potassium hydroxide, nitric acid

Abstract

Abstract. Coal washing can be done by various methods. One method of washing that is quite easy to do is by flotation method. Coal washing is usually done in large companies with tools that tend to be large and costly. In the mining laboratory of Universitas Negeri Padang there is no coal leaching tool using flotation method. It is expected that with the manufacture of this tool can be a reference for the practice of washing coal with flotation methods in the mining lab of Universitas Negeri Padang.The tool functions normally and the coal sample has undergone a washing process so that a froth arises indicating the coal has been washed because it is lifted with froth. From the performance of the tool and the results obtained from the sample before and experienced washing where there was a reduction in sulfur levels in the sample from 0.378 % Adb decreased after washing to 0.235%Adb. There was a decrease in sulfur content of 0.143 %Adb. From the performance of the tool and the results obtained from the sample before and experienced washing where there was an increase in caloric value Data sample value of coal calories before washing obtained by 7689.87 Kcal / g, after washing there was an increase in caloric value to 8414.30 Kcal/g. there was an increase in caloric value of 724.43 Kcal/g. Keywords: flotation, washing, prototype, tools, coa

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Dempo Maju Cemerlang is one of the gold mining companies that implement underground mining system. Because judging from the risk management there are still potential hazards in the company, this study aims to find out the potential hazards in some areas of work that can cause accidents, statistics of work accidents frequency rate and severety rate,as well as reveal hazard control in the form of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment And Determining Control (HIRADC). Data collection techniques using questionnaire questionnaires, interviews, and observations of work activities. The results of analysis of the risk level of the sub-criteria that often occur in the overall at PT. Dempo Maju Cemerlang based on the percentage calculation is 26% pale finger discoloration during jeck legoperation, 10% hit in restricted areas, pinched tools, and 78% muddy or flooded roads. Work accidents with a frequency rate in 2019 of 44.18 and a severity of 166.55. JSA and HIRADC are used to identify work hazards in the main hole SOD (South Ore Drift) in the work of drill machine jack leg, rock bolt installation, railmounting, shovel rocker operation, locomotive operation and Granby.Keywords: Jack leg drillmachine, rock bolt installation, railmounting, shovel rocker operation, locomotive operation and Granby.

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Atoz Nusantara Mining is a company engaged in coal mining, currently coal mining activities are less effective because companies that do so do not utilize low quality coal. Low quality coal accumulates in the stockpile and is not sold because of low quality coal, refining or processing the coal so that it can be utilized. The comparison of coal mixture with coconut shell charcoal is 10gr coal: 2.5gr charcoal, 10gr coal: 5gr charcoal, 10gr coal: 7.5g charcoal, 10gr coal: 10gr charcoal. The research method was carried out by testing the nearest calorific value, sulfur and coal. Based on the results of the research, the effective ratio of coal calorific value is 10gr coal: 10gr charcoal. The initial calorie of coal is 5100 cal / g after mixing, the calorie value of coal is 6061 cal / gr, then the initial sulfur test coal is 1.37% to 0.57%. , 26%, then in the initial test the volatile matter was 8.79% to 17.08%, the initial coal ash value test was 15.57% to 10.7%, and the initial coal calculation of the fixed carbon value was 69.57%. 65.94%. From the results of the study it can be concluded that mixing coal with coconut shell charcoal is very effective in improving the quality of coal, especially in increasing the heating value and volatile matter and is effective in reducing sulfur levels.Keywords: Quality of coal, charcoal, calories, ash, volatile matter

Abstract

ABSTRAK Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penentuan kadar perak (Ag) dalam batuan termineralisasi menggunakan metode ekstraksi pelarut kelat ditizon dengan variasi pH dan waktu di wilayah tambang galian rakyat Bukit Gunjo Jorong Tanjung Bungo Kecamatan Bonjol Kabupaten Pasaman.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pH dan waktu optimum dalam pengektraksian logam perak serta dapat menentukan kadar perak pada batuan percontoh terpilih di daerah itu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda ekstraksi pelarut menggunakan HCL-HNOз pekat (3:1).Hasil penelitian menunjukan pH optimum berada pada pH 3, dan waktu optimum berada pada waktu 10 menit dan di dapat kadar recovery logam perak dengan metoda ekstraksi sebesar ,2573; 0,2119; 0,2270; 0,1846 ppm, dan 0,1029; 0,1059; 0,1090; 0.0636 ppm untuk hasil dengan metoda langsung, logam Ag ( ± 2,3x peningkatan jika dibandingkan dengan hasil pengukuran langsung ) dengan 4 kali pengukuran sampel.Keywords : Perak (Ag), pH optimum, waktu optimum, kadar

Abstract

PT. Karbindo Abesyapradhi is one of the coal mines located in West Sumatera province Sijunjung. In mining PT. Karbindo Abesyapradhi in cooperation with PT. Pasura Bina Mine as a sub contractor who is a subsidiary of Srikandi Group.Based on observations in stripping overburden at PT. Karbindo Abesyapradhi, it was found that the production activities of overburden is not optimal. This is caused by equipment that works on the field non optimal when used, which is visible from the unloading tool is waiting on the field.Actually total unloading production is 104,910 BCM/month, and conveyances 84,590 BCM/month, it caused not achieving the target production of overburden that has been planned not reached. After analysis it is found that the cause of low production work efficiency is low and lack of transport in use. By increasing the efficiency of work and made additional conveyance, then obtained a total production of 131,090 BCM tool loading / month and conveyance 123,436 BCM/month.From the results of the calculation, the cost of production and the means of conveyance and unloading tool to strip overburden before it is analyzed is Rp.2,511,980,033/month or Rp.29,696/BCM, and having analyzed the cost of production tools and conveyances fit into Rp.3,022,347,665/month or Rp.24,485/BCM, so to strip the overburden in accordance with the planned production target required fee of Rp.2,938,200,000

Abstract

In the overburden mining activities in the North Pit E,            PT. Karbindo Abesyapradhi using two brands about conveyance of rigid dump trucks Terex TR60 and Euclid R60 rigid dump truck. From the gained information, conveyance TR60 rigid dump truck is a new conveyance. While the conveyance Euclid R60 rigid dump truck is a long conveyance.Known to owning operating cost of conveyance Euclid R60 rigid dump truck US $ 93.63, while owning the operating cost conveyance of rigid dump trucks TR60 US $ 131.75. Then from the calculation of the productivity of the authors received, productivity Euclid R60 rigid dump truck better than productivity conveyance of rigid dump trucks Terex TR60. About productivity Euclid R60 rigid dump truck 56,796 BCM/h, while the productivity of rigid dump trucks Terex TR60 48,896 BCM/h.Then owning operating cost is divided by the productivity of the production cost to gain conveyance to determine which is more beneficial. And note the cost production of rigid dump trucks terex TR60 2,694 USD/BCM, while the cost production of rigid dump trucks Terex TR60 US $ 1,648. Based on the results gained, conveyance Euclid R60 rigid dump truck is more profitable than the conveyance of rigid dump trucks Terex TR60. Abstract

Abstract. PT. Allied Indo Coal Jaya is a mining company engaged in coal mining located in the town of Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. The coal produced consists of various types originating from different seams. At present coal mining activities are less effective because the company does not utilize low quality coal. The low quality coal is piling up in stockpiles and is not sold because of the low quality , it is necessary to improve the quality of coal or processing so that it can be utilized. Research by this method aims for low quality coal mixed with palm shells can be used, the purpose pen mixture of palm kernel shells with coal in order to know the calories, sulfur, ash, total moisture and volatile matter and how it compares that low quality coal can be utilized. Comparison of coal blends with shells of coconut adalah 12,5gr coal: 2,5gr shell of the coconut, 12,5gr coal : 5 gr shell of coconut , 12,5gr coal: 7, 5 grams of shell of coconut , 12,5gr coal : 10gr shell coconut palm , and 12,5gr coal : 12,5gr shell of the coconut palm . Based on the results of the research of mixing coal with a shell of coconut oil can affect the quality of the coal as calorie, the levels of ash , lowering the volatile matter, and lower the sulfur from the coal.Keywords: Quality of coal, shell of coconut, calorie, ash, volatile matter

Abstract

Abstract. Coal is one of the important energy sources, in the form of dense and heterogeneous layers of organic sedimentary rocks. Because of this heterogeneous nature, coal has different qualities, even though the place is in one place. The level of temperature and pressure experienced in a coal deposit depositional environment is not the same, this is one of the causes of the different qualities of coal produced. The difference in the quality of coal is classified based on the ratio of water content, metter minerals, fixed carbon, and based on its calorific value. Coal mining results generally show different rankings, from highest to lowest. The highest level of coal can be utilized directly by consumers, but for low rank coal it must be improved through a certain process to suit consumer demand. Low rank coal, high in water content. This is in line with the low calorific value in coal. Problems caused by the high water content include: Low efficiency in combustion, triggering occurs spontaneous combustion and the high costs incurred at the time of transportation. Abstract

Abstract. PT. Dempo Maju Cemerlang is one of the gold mining companies that implement an underground mining system. The mining safety management program has not been fully implemented. This research aims to find out the percentage of application of Mining Safety Management System, accident statistics of work frequency rate and severity rate, as well as potential hazards in some areas of work that can cause accidents as well as reveal hazard control in the form of Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews, and observations of work activities. The results of the questionnaire analysis of the overall implementation level of the mining safety management system at PT. Dempo Maju Cemerlang based on the calculation of the Likert scale is 80.9%. With 84.2% policy element criteria, 81.3% planning element, 83.7% organizational and personnel elements, 81.1% implementation element, 80% evaluation and follow-up element, 75.6% documentation element, and 75.3% management review element. The frequency rate of accidents in 2019 was 44.18 with a severity rate of 166.55. JSA generated to identify workplace hazards in the main hole of SOD (South Ore Drift) in the work of the leg jack drill engine and the operation of diesel locomotives.Keywords:  Gold Mine, Mining Safety Management System, Accident Statistics, Potential Hazards, Job Safety Analysis
