AbstractThis article aimed to describe the implementation of extracurricular activity talempong pacik in SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. The type of research was a qualitative research with descriptive method of analysis. Techniques of data collection in this research were the observation or direct observation of the implementation of extracurricular activity talempong pacik in SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. The results showed that: (1) students were able to play a musical instrument talempong pacik by playing the song Cak Dindin in accordance with the notation; (2) students could express themselves through the appearance at the end of extracurricular activity.Keywords: extracurricular activity, and talempong pacik.

This study aims to find and describe how the regeneration of kecapi music players carried out at the Gamad Studio, Ujung Padang Village, Mukomuko City District. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and a camera. The type of data used is primary data. Data collection techniques were carried out using literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the regeneration of lute music players in the Gamad Art Studio, Ujung Padang Village, Mukomuko City District was carried out openly. Regeneration is openly carried out by teaching lute music to family members, the community, and members of the studio. The harp music is the main accompaniment of the Art of Gamad Mukomuko. Gamad's art is packaged in an art package that includes dance, drama, and music performed all night long. The ultimate goal of a harp music training process at Sanggar Gamad, Ujung Padang Village, is to give birth to a new generation that is proficient in playing the kecapi musical instrument.

Abstract This article aims to discover and describe the implementation of learning the art of teaching material specifically cultural art music based on 2013 Revised Curriculum in junior high Country 31 field. Research is descriptive using the approach the qualitative method. The object in this research is the implementation of learning art and culture based on Curriculum Revision in 2013 31 Country Junior High School field. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and researchers assisted with the supporting instruments be stationery, tools to record in the form of audio and camera. Data collection is carried out by means of observation, interview, documentation and study of the literature. Data analysis was performed on the primary data and secondary data and the data analyzed is done by means of identifying, classifying, analyzing and describing data. The results showed that the implementation of the process of learning the curriculum revision in 2013 learning cultural arts (music) on SMP N 31 the field has not been fully implemented in accordance with the dimensions and direction of 2013 Curriculum revision. In teaching the teacher always wear methods lectures and cooperative, but teachers have received training and knowledge about 2013 Curriculum revision. Conceptually, the teacher is quite understood the concept of Curriculum revision 2013, but still found the discrepancy in the implementation, so haven't been able to achieve learning objectives among other methods, the implementation of 5 m, the allocation of time spent, and the writing of the RPP. This studyaimed to describe the vocal learning in Extracurricular Activities through Solfegio in MAN Lubuk alung.This research is a qualitative research approach analisis. Object descriptions are vocal learning through solfegio in MAN Lubukalung. Data sourced from the observation, documentation and literature study. Once the data is collected through the data collection techniques further classifies the data based on its importance. Based on the results of research conducted at MAN Lubuk Alung in school extracurricular activitiesin the field of music, especially vocal.To improve students skills in singing, then doexercises solfegio in vocal learning. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the implementation of learning musical ensemble in 9th grade students of IIS 3 at SMA 1 Painan. This type of research is qualitative research that uses descriptive methods. The object of this study was the students of grade XI IIS 1, amount of students are 34 students who were attending cultural arts learning that contained music learning with music ensemble material at SMA 1 Painan.Based on the results of research, researcher found in the field, it can be explained that the learning of musical ensembles at SMA Negeri 1 Painan has an implementation process which is not in accordance with the lesson plan used by the teacher in the classroom. The incopability of the implementation in class room caused by several reasons expressed by the teacher, they are the Lesson Plan was made by other parties and lack of musical instruments at schools so students need to provide their own musical instruments. Even though, the result of learning in grade XI IIS 1 runs well. Students are taught to be able to arrange a simple musical ensembles independently. Students are also required to be able to work together and be active in groups to discuss and think creatively as the government's goals about character building for students. ABSTRACTThis research aims to find out and describe the implementation of music ensamble learning at class of XI IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Padang Sago. The design of the research was qualitative using descriptive data analysis. The primary instrument was the research himself while the secondary ones were student’ observation sheets and lesson plans. Data were obtained from library study, interview, and documentation. The objects were 24 students of class XI IPS 2 of the school. The research result shows that the learning process runs well and is based on the syllabus as well lessons plans. The students were required to be able perform the song Cinta Untuk Mama* within a group. The lessons plans were design for 4 meetings. Each meeting included materials for the students by applying the lecturing, demonstration, and exercise methods. The students were divided into three groups. One of them was pointed as the conductor. At the final meeting, the students were able to perform the song in a harmonious tempo and dynamics written in the song’s patition.Keywords: Learning Implementation, Music Ensamble

The study of the music phenomenon has long been an important discussion due to its role in upholding the accretion of the history of literature of the world of music. Among the two poles music’s idealism, which is between European and American, they both have different opinion about multiculturalism. The multiculturalism in the Europe is the unification of the music culture with the lowest integrity level between the music cultures which possibly experience the multicultural process. It means, with the music culture base which just established like music classic, so that the multicultural process will cannot be seen easily from the music which recommended, because its interference usually dissolved is the music substance which intrinsically used, at rhythmic, melodies, form and others. Meanwhile the multiculturalism phenomenon in the America will offers the explicit structures, which accurately occurs the powerful and influential multiculturalism process. This thing also based on the heterogeneous America’s people as the interference of many cultures by means of the difference music. The multiculturalism music in America also develop faster because in its accretion it influence with the political period and the crime-infested unsafe makes the countries which moves to America feels that they the same. So, it is not surprise if the performance of the African-American music or the America’s World Music will demonstrate the music multiculturalism process which actual and has been growth for a long time. This article is written based on research to produce a model and assessment system of teachingpracticeability, which can be utilized Educators and Education. This research was conducted by considering the need: (1) development of teaching practice skills that can improve students' high-level thinkingability, (2) assessment models relevant to learning achievements, (3) implementation of various and feasible assessments for students, as well as (4) the application of learning achievement assessment models and systems taking into account a variety of interests and talents. Data is collected through expert evaluation of teaching ability formulation and teaching ability assessment model and through focus group discussion with staff who are interested in the implementation of assessment. Data/information analysis is done descriptive qualitatively and quantitatively in accordance with the type of data collected. The results stated that the hypothetical model for assessment of teaching practice skills of music education students who demanded theavailabilityof: (1) practical classes and practical exams and labor praktik; (2) mentoring/instructors, examiners, and IT staff with sufficient amount and quality; and (3) guidelines and procedures as a reference for all parties involved in the implementation of the assessment.

PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DELIKAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN NOTASI IRAMA PADA PELAJARAN SENI MUSIK BAGI GURU-GURU PESERTA MGMP SENI DAN BUDAYA TINGKAT SMP DI KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMANAbstractThis research is about Delikan (Listen-See-Do) learning model, the model of learning that can be used in teaching rhythm and notation, where this model can be combined between listening method the design of sounds/voices, see the notation, rhythm, and do practicum read, write or practice the notation. The advantages this model is at the "listen", "see", and "do" music activities that support the goals of learning music to appreciate typical of his subject matter of music in the curriculum of Arts and Culture can be practiced with the principle of learning music "learning by doing, learning by experience. "this study takes place at the junior high school teachers gathered in MGMPs Art and Culture in Padang Pariaman. There are 14 teachers from nine schools involved in discussion partner for researchers and teams at this stage of the introduction of the model (in the first year). In the second year of the study, teachers who have been provided with the Delikan learning model can be pioneering improvements in teaching music about rhythm. By doing so, the involvement of students in the classroom as a research object in the real learning is also necessary, in order to measure the success of research and development of this learning model to be developed and disseminated.Keywords: rhythm notation, delikan method, music learning AbstrakPenelitian ini adalah penelitian tentang model pembelajaran Delikan (Dengar-Lihat-Lakukan), yaitu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pelajaran irama dan notasinya, di mana dengan model ini bisa dikombinasikan antara metode mendengar desain bunyi/suara, melihat bentuk notasi irama, dan melakukan praktikum membaca, menulis atau mepraktekkan notasi yang dipraktekkan. Keunggulan model pembelajaran ini adalah pada kegiatan “mendengar”, “melihat”, dan “melakukan” kegiatan musik yang mendukung tujuan belajar musik yang mengapresiasikan khas-nya materi pelajaran musik dalam KTSP Seni dan Budaya yang bisa dipraktikkan dengan prinsip belajar musik “learning by doing, learning by experience.” Penelitian ini mengambil setting pada guru-guru SMP yang berhimpun dalam MGMP Seni dan Budaya di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Ada 14 guru dari 9 sekolah yang dilibatkan menjadi mitra diskusi bagi peneliti dan tim pada tahap pengenalan model (di tahun pertama). Pada penelitian tahun kedua, guru-guru yang telah dibekali dengan model pembelajaran Delikan menjadi perintis untuk perbaikan pembelajran musik tentang irama ditempatnya bertugas. Dengan begitu, keterlibatan siswa di kelas sebagai objek penelitian dalam pembelajaran nyata juga diperlukan, guna mengukur keberhasilan penelitian pengembangan model pembelajaran ini untuk bisa dikembangkan dan disebarluaskan.Kata Kunci: notasi irama, metode delikan, pembelajaran seni musik

Character education issues are booming to be discussed by Indonesian people lately. In this paper, I want to take part in this positive trend, which also describes how the relationship between character education with the field of music. The selected context in the discourse of character education is the problem of behavioral music and musical behavior, the latter study has contributed in the development of educational music, both reviewed in the development of affective values and skill development in the field of music. I would like to convey the message that the message that the music also has a close connection with character education. Beliefs about the existence of a significant relationship between music and character education partly motivated by the concept of music education is built from behavior that is consistent with the character education.
