Abstract

The growing problem of plastic waste has become a significant environmental challenge, particularly in rural areas. This study aims to describe the utilization of plastic waste into ecobricks as an innovative initiative by university students during their Community Service Program (KKN) to support environmental sustainability in Nagari Guguak Malalo, Batipuh Selatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar Regency. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the conversion of plastic waste into ecobricks offers not only a practical solution for managing household waste but also raises community awareness regarding the importance of recycling and reducing plastic usage. This innovation has proven effective in empowering local communities, particularly women and youth groups, to actively engage in sustainable environmental activities. Furthermore, the KKN program fosters collaboration between students, village authorities, and local residents in building a cleaner and healthier environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Minangkabau dance techniques to improve the ability to dance the Creative Piring Dance of SMA N 1 Ampek students. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. Data was collected through literature studies, observations, interviews, documentation. The data in this study uses primary data and secondary data. The steps of analyzing data are the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the methods used in the extracurricular art of piriang dance created by Syofyani are lectures, demonstrations and practice methods. While the infrastructure facilities are still in an inadequate condition even though in general they have been implemented well, the infrastructure facilities in this activity include mobile phones and Spekear. The assessment of the implementation of extracurricular activities in dance at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek is a direct assessment, namely during the training process, disciplinary assessments are directly given qualitatively such as: A (Very Good) which is given with a score range of 85-100, B (Good) which is given a range of 76-84, C (Adequate) which is given a range of 65-75, D (Less) which is given a range of 55-64. It can be concluded with the implementation of extracurricular piriang dance art created by Syofyani at SMAN 1 Ampek Angkek by applying discipline, continuous practice, being given facilities to develop the quality of skills, talents and interests of students as well as training confidence and ability in dance.

Abstract

Art performances in schools can be carried out as an intracurricular part of cultural arts learning. On the other hand, art performances are also a forum for student creativity in various multi-event extracurricular activities with various targets. Of the many art performances that have been performed by students of SMA Negeri 1 Harau, both in music, dance, theater, and so on, the results of the performances achieved also vary in quality. However, the discussion of the quality of the performance results is more concentrated on the material issues of music, dance, theater, and so on. Even though the problem of the absence of performance room arrangement and audio equipment systems that meet the acoustic standards of art performances, is also a determining factor for the quality or not of art performances in schools. The results of monitoring since the survey, it is suspected that teachers do not have knowledge and technical skills about this problem, so the burden of the risk of art performances that are of low audio and acoustic quality, and have damaged the performance material itself, ultimately falls on students and audio/soundsystem equipment providers. The implication is that the quality of art performances in schools is not comparable to the waste of school budgets that have been provided for the procurement of an art performance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of vocal techniques in the presentation of polyphonic texture in the Medley Nyanyian Nusantara performed by Andalaswara Choir. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the presentation of the work requires mature mastery of vocal techniques, particularly breathing, resonance, articulation, and intonation. These techniques play an important role in shaping choral sonority that is balanced, resonant, and blended across all voice parts. In addition, the complexity of polyphonic texture demands consistency of vocal technique from soprano, alto, tenor, and bass sections, especially when combined with choreography and traditional costumes. With proper vocal technique management and intensive rehearsal, Andalaswara Choir was able to present the Medley Nyanyian Nusantara optimally and harmoniously.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penulisan notasi musik menggunakan software sibelius yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah artistik “Art Practice Based Research” dengan metode deskripsi analitis dan beberapa pelatihan kepada guru Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Solok menggunakan modul yang telah dibuat dan dipelajari kurang lebih tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan software sibelius sangat efektif untuk menuliskan notasi musik dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa aransemen lagu sederhana dalam format ansambel alat musik sekolah seperti pianika, rekorder, perkusi, dan sebagainya.

Abstract

Nagari Guguak Malalo, Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, menghadapi krisis multidimensi pasca dilanda bencana banjir bandang (galodo) yang terjadi secara beruntun pada akhir November 2025 hingga awal tahun 2026. Kerusakan fisik pada area persawahan dan permukiman warga turut memicu dampak psikologis yang signifikan, seperti trauma, stres akut, dan disrupsi interaksi sosial di tengah masyarakat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis efektivitas sinergitas antara mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) tahun 2026 dengan Ikatan Pemuda Duo koto (IPD) dalam menginisiasi Turnamen Voli Selingkup Duo Koto sebagai media trauma healing berbasis komunitas. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang terintegrasi dengan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), meliputi tahapan observasi, koordinasi lintas lembaga, pelaksanaan turnamen, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa turnamen voli tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana rekreasi dan olahraga, tetapi juga berhasil menjadi ruang katarsis emosional yang efektif. Partisipasi aktif masyarakat dari berbagai kalangan usia terbukti mampu menurunkan tingkat kecemasan, memulihkan solidaritas sosial, dan membangun kembali resiliensi warga pascabencana. Kesimpulannya, sinergi program pengabdian masyarakat melalui pendekatan olahraga rekreasi kompetitif sangat direkomendasikan sebagai langkah akselerasi pemulihan psikososial yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan di daerah rawan bencana.
