Abstract

Indonesia has experienced an increase in the number of dengue fever cases every year, including Kepala Sungai village, which is one of the areas affected by dengue fever. Dengue fever caused by the aedes aegypti mosquito presents a challenge to the community to protect themselves and their families from mosquito bites that cause dengue fever. The community service activities of the 128th Real Work Lecture (KKN) UIN North Sumatra played a role in preventing the spread of dengue fever cases in Kepala Sungai village. The research method used in this study was qualitative and creative learning which was conducted in Kepala Sungai village with research subjects. The purpose of this study was to provide practical and effective solutions in preventing dengue fever cases in Kepala Sungai village. The results of the study stated that lemongrass plant extract has very large benefits and roles in reducing dengue fever cases in Kepala Sungai village. Through a mixture of ethanol with a content of 70% and various stages carried out, a simple innovation was produced, namely anti-mosquito spray from lemongrass. Abstract

Improving the quality of human resource performance depends on factors that are influenced by the job satisfaction they receive and feel from an organization. The satisfaction and dissatisfaction felt by employees in carrying out their duties is something that always exists in an organization. The purpose and benefits of the research as a result of the internship carried out by the author is that the company can be better in the future and maximize aspects of company employee satisfaction in order to create work comfort and performance productivity and their employees will be better and maximized for the PT. Abstract

Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, which number in the thousands, actually have enormous potential in the economic sector. However, the potential of Islamic boarding schools has not been given much attention, either by the government or the Islamic boarding schools themselves. The number of Islamic boarding schools in North Sumatra is 183, one of which is the Dar Ma'rifat Islamic Boarding School in Kelambir Lima Village, Hamparan Perak Village, Deli Serdang Regency. So that the economic empowerment of Islamic boarding schools greatly contributes to improving the welfare of the people of North Sumatra in general and the Islamic boarding school students in particular. This community service provides significant benefits for the students and female students of the Darul Ma'rifat Islamic Boarding School. To achieve a better and more sustainable impact, further efforts need to be made in providing education, mentoring and support in the strategic role of Islamic boarding schools in economic empowerment for students at the Darul Ma'rifat Islamic Boarding School, Kelambir Lima Village, Hamparan Perak Village, Deli Serdang, especially in financial management towards independent Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

Public service is an important service and is a top priority for administrators to meet the basic needs of society. Basically, the health sector is one of the first-level facilities for Social Security Administrator (BPJS) participants managed at the Public Health Center (Puskesmas). Therefore, the benefits of Puskesmas services are felt and help the community, including BPJS patients, so that the services provided to patients must be of quality according to the specified service standards. This research was conducted with the aim of comparing the quality of service for BPJS and non-BPJS participants as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of service. Researchers use qualitative research by understanding the research subject. Source of data obtained from secondary and primary data. Furthermore, data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation at the health center, and determination of respondents using snowball sampling, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. To test the level of confidence in the data uses triangulation techniques. The results of the study stated that the quality of services provided to BPJS and Non-BPJS patients at the Ofa Padang Mahondang Health Center was good and in accordance with the needs of the community seen from direct evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. While the supporting factors for service are the attitude of employees who are friendly, courteous, flow simplicity and affordable costs, there are still things that need to be improved, namely the lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure, such as loudspeakers, the wifi network is slow and the number of patients who are busy with the number of officers is incompatibility.

Abstract

The boba beverage business is experiencing significant growth in the domestic market, but competition in the industry is intensifying. This study aims to identify and analyze strategies that can be used by boba beverage businesses to improve competitiveness. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to examine aspects that affect competitiveness, such as product innovation, marketing strategy, quality management, and adaptation to consumer preferences. The results of this study include SWOT analysis, the resulting strategies include developing taste innovation, building a competitive business system, optimizing technology-based marketing, and improving financial statements and geographic expansion. In addition, the importance of halal certification to improve product competitiveness was highlighted. Although NAYNAY Boba does not yet have halal certification, the government is expected to increase education to MSMEs on the importance of this certification. This research provides practical guidance for boba beverage businesses to compete in an increasingly competitive industry through innovation, technology-based marketing, and halal certification.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di Desa Sidoharjo-1 Pasar Miring telah dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini diperkenalkan oleh organisasi Tani kepada mahasiswa KKN Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara yang ada di Desa Sidoharjo-1 Pasar Miring dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dari bahan hasil alam. Karena banyaknya yang belum mengetahui manfaat dari hasil alam seperti batang pepaya, toge, mengkudu, labu, buah maja dan lainnya yang dapat diolah menjadi pupuk organik. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini ada beberapa tahapan yaitu, sosialisasi, ceramah, tanya jawab dan demonstrasi oleh ketua Tani. Kesimpulan pada kegiatan pegabdian kepada masyarakat dan ini bahwa masyarakat dan mahasiswa KKN khususnya dengan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keahlian dalam mengolah hasil alam sebagai rupiah, masyarakat bisa melestarikan lingkungan dengan memakai pupuk organik dan memperoleh produksi tambahan dari pemasaran pupuk organik.

Abstract

Spring roll MSMEs face increasingly fierce culinary competition, particularly amid product diversification, changing consumer preferences, and demands for continued differentiation. This study aims to analyze product identity development strategies that can strengthen the position of spring roll MSMEs in both local and digital markets. Using a qualitative approach with a document analysis design, data were collected through document and marketing searches, as well as content analysis of promotional materials to capture actual practices in building product image. The research findings indicate that flavor innovation plays a significant role as a differentiation tool, enabling spring roll products to appear unique through the exploration of ingredient variations, non-traditional flavor combinations, and adaptation to taste trends, thus creating memorable sensory value for consumers. Visual branding and packaging design have been shown to increase brand visibility through consistency in color, typography, and graphic elements that emphasize product character while strengthening quality associations. Storytelling makes a strong contribution to building unique value by linking products to narratives of origin, creative processes, and authentic messages that trigger consumer emotional engagement and expand product meaning. In addition, responsive distribution strategies, such as the use of digital platforms, delivery services, and adaptive point-of-sale arrangements, along with a holistically designed customer experience through friendly service, fast response, and quality assurance, encourage consistent strengthening of product identity. The theoretical implications of this research enrich the study of the creative economy by providing a comprehensive understanding of the construction of MSME product identity. In contrast, its practical implications offer strategic guidelines for business actors to increase competitiveness based on creativity and consumer experience.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly fierce competition in the culinary MSME sector, especially in meatball businesses, which require business actors to develop innovative and adaptive marketing strategies to maintain competitiveness and increase revenue. The objectives of this study are to analyze the forms of product innovation undertaken by meatball MSMEs, digital marketing strategies that leverage online platforms to expand consumer reach, conventional marketing strategies that remain relevant for building closeness with local customers, and to examine how integrating both approaches contributes to increased revenue. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method; data are collected through a literature review, then analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results show that product innovation, such as menu variations, improved raw material quality, and flavor differentiation, are proven to expand market segments and increase perceived value in the eyes of consumers, while digital marketing strategies through the use of social media, digital catalogs, and interactive promotions significantly increase brand visibility and accelerate the purchasing process; at the same time, conventional marketing strategies continue to play a vital role in building trust through direct interaction, friendly service, and local promotions, so that both work complementary in forming a marketing ecosystem that strengthens loyalty and improves the revenue performance of meatball MSMEs. These findings have theoretical implications for the importance of integrating innovation and marketing as a unified business strategy, and offer practical implications for culinary MSMEs to optimize product creativity and utilize marketing channels in an integrated manner.
