Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the effect of the application of the discussion and presentation method on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti in class X students at SMA N 1 Kecamatan Gunuang Omeh. This research is a quantitative experiment with the type of One-Shot Case Study. A sample of 28 respondents was taken using the Saturated Sampling Technique. Data were taken using tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The discussion method of the X¹ variable, the X² presentation method, and the learning outcomes of the Y variable. The data were analyzed by prerequisite tests, namely, normality, homogeneity, linearity, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression tests, hypothesis testing with F test, T test, and R² test. Obtained F arithmetic 0.160<F table 4.20, and T arithmetic discussion method -0.339< T table 2.048, presentation method obtained T arithmetic -0.205<Ttable 2.048, simultaneous and partial conclusions discussion and presentation methods do not affect learning outcomes of Religious Education Islam and Morals of class X students at SMA N 1 Kecamatan Gunuang Omeh. The result of the R² test is 1.3%.

Abstract

This research was made to decide the impact of motivation on the students’s learning difficulties from the 2018 entry year in the social statistics course, Islamic Education Study Program, UNP. The population of this research were taken from 2018 collague student who entering the Islamic Education Study Program, totaling 170 student, and the sample used was 105 students. The research data was gained from the results of questionnaire that had fulfilled the validity and reliability requirements. Data were interpreted by a simple linear regression technique that composing by T-test, F-test, and Coefficient of Determination. Before testing the hypothesis, the data must go through normality and linearity tests as prerequisite tests. From the proceed of the f-test analysis, it was obtained f count = 52.252 ≥ f table = 3.92, which mean is the learning motivation has an influence to the learning difficulties. Then in the test output from coefficient of determination obtained r2 = 33.7% which indicates learning difficulties are influenced by learning motivation of 33.7% and 62.3% is affected by the other factors. Then the T-test results gained t count = -7.229 <T table = -1.980, meaning that motivation has a significant effect on learning difficulties. The simple linear regression similarity gained is Y = 97,796 – 0,580X which indicates that each learning motivation has increased one value, also learning difficulty reduce by 0.580. Negative sign indicates the existence of a form of influence in the opposite direction. So if learning motivation decreases, learning difficulties will increase. Conversely, if the motivation to learn increases, the difficulty of learning will decrease.

Abstract

The lack of media use and the subpar academic performance of seventh graders at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi are the driving forces for this study. 1) The primary objective of this study is to identify the learning process using Powtoon as a medium. 2) to assess educational results utilizing Powtoon media 3) to assess the effect of Powtoon media on seventh-grade students' academic achievement at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi. Experimental quantitative research is used in this work. Students from SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi's classes VII.1 and VII.2 made up the study's population. Purposive sampling was used as the sample method in this study. Tests of student learning outcomes, surveys, and documentation were used to gather data. The findings of the study were evaluated using the lndependent Sample T-Test. based on the research's conclusions from a survey 1) The average (Mean) usage of Powtoon media was 101.13, and 35% of students fell into the adequate category. 2) Up to 20% of pupils fall into the sufficient category for learning outcomes, as shown by an average score of 83.26. 3) The R square test result of 0.643 (64.3%) which demonstrates a relationship between the independent and dependent variables demonstrates that Powtoon media has an impact on class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bukittinggi's learning outcomes.

Abstract

The outbreak of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic that occurred in Indonesia resulted in all aspects of life being greatly disrupted, including the education sector. During the Covid-19 pandemic, various ways have been carried out by various schools for ongoing learning such as applying bold learning and alluring learning. Although sometimes the learning objectives to be achieved have not been achieved properly, but what is expected from the process is that students are expected to be able to receive learning, both bold learning and compelling learning, including the efforts made by schools to educate their students. This study aims to determine the response of students to face-to-face learning after the COVID-19 pandemic at Padang State University. The research method used is a descriptive research method using surveys with data collection techniques in the form of filling out questionnaires through google forms. The number of samples in this study was 60 people. Data collection using a survey method with a likert scale. Data analysis by calculating the percentage of data on each indicator, then interpreting the percentage score of the data and analyzed descriptively on each indicator. Research analysis shows that students' response to face-to-face learning is very effective and efficient to do and is in the category of quite good (41.5%). The results of this study are also expected to be a reference in the development of face-to-face learning in higher education and as study material for subsequent research related to face-to-face learning after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The main topic of this study is the application of the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method in the subject of Islamic Religious Education to the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 3 at SMA Negeri 3 Pariaman. Based on observations and interviews, it is known that student learning outcomes still relatively low before the implementation of this method. This type of research is quantitative research using correlational research methods with the form of the relationship in this study Bivariat, namely a relationship that involves one independent variable with one dependent variable. The population in this study were class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 3 totaling 67 students. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, a simple linear regression equation model is obtained Y = 5.235 + 0.781X, which means that if the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method is getting better, it will increase by 0.781%. From the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (R^2) it is known that the value (R^2) is 0.174 or 17.4%, which means that the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method has a contribution to learning outcomes and the remaining 82.6% is influenced by other factors . While the results of the F test analysis obtained the value F_count > F_table (13.705 > 3.10) which means that the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. While the T test obtained a T_count value of 3.702 > 1.669 meaning that the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method partially had a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Based on the data analysis processing, the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) method can be applied to the teaching and learning process in schools to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Fiqh students in class VII at MTsN 3 Padang Pariaman. Among the factors that cause low student learning outcomes are the learning strategies applied and the level of students' critical thinking skills. This study aims, firstly, to find out how the process of PBL strategy is in class VII Fiqh subjects, secondly, to find out the value of critical thinking skills in Fiqh class VII subjects, thirdly, to find out how the use of PBL strategy and critical thinking skills influences the learning outcomes of Fiqh class VII students. . This research is quantitative with correlational research methods. The results showed that there was an effect of the PBL strategy variable on the learning outcomes of Jurisprudence class VII 3 by 46.1% and class VII 4 by 13.8%. As for the variable critical thinking skills on learning outcomes of Jurisprudence class VII 3 of 10.4% and class VII 4 of 10.7%, then there is a joint effect of PBL strategy variables and critical thinking skills of class VII 3 of 10.9% and class VII 4 of 04.3%. It can be concluded that there is an influence of PBL strategy variables and critical thinking skills on Fiqh learning outcomes Fiqh learning outcomes for class VII students at MTsN 3 Padang Pariaman. Based on the results of the data analysis, the PBL strategy and critical thinking skills can be applied in the teaching and learning process in schools to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Research on the CTL is based on many findings that most students have yet to be able to make connections between what they learn and its various uses in real life. This study aimed to develop an Alquran-based CTL model in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Higher Education, specifically on the syntax design of the Quran-based CTL model. This study used the RD method with the ADDIE model approach. The results of this study were the syntax of the Quran-based CTL model in PAI learning in Higher Education, which were summarized in the acronym OBAMATARE-Alquran, O: direct/orientate, BA: (baca) read Alquran, MA: (masalah) formulate a problem, TA: (tanya jawab) discussion, ask-answer-group/independent (solving problems)/guiding inquiry and displaying results, RE: reflection and evaluation. The syntax uses verses from Alquran relevant to the learning theme. OBAMATARE-Alquran, the Alquran-based CTL model, follows seven CTL activities. Constructivism, inquiry, question and answer and learning community activities could be seen in learning activities when students discussed in groups and investigated the details of the provided problems in LKM and picture/video shows. Then students found roots and problem solutions by exploring information. Students would exemplify ways to solve problems throughout the modelling step of solving problems. Reflections were done on the opening and closing activities. Meanwhile, evaluation in the form of authentic assessment was carried out during learning and at the end. This research is only limited to Alquran-based CTL syntax, requires further trials. This research can be developed in the form of learning modules, learning media and learning evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peer interaction on adolescent religious behavior in Korong Batiah-BatiahNagariGadur, Six Lingkung District. The research method used in this research is quantitative using correlational methods. The population of this study were teenagers who were in Korong Batiah-Batiah, totaling 60 teenagers. Data on peer interaction and religious behavior were obtained from questionnaires, in which the questionnaire met the validity and reliability requirements of the instrument. The data analysis technique in this study uses simple linear regression analysis, which meets the requirements of the classical assumption test (normality and linearity), f-test, t-test, and coefficient of determination. Based on the results of the f-test analysis, it was obtained f count = 20,984 ? f table = 4.00, then the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (r2) obtained the value of r2 = 26.6%, which means that the peer interaction variable is influenced by religious behavior variables by 26.6% and the remaining 73.4% is influenced by other factors. So it can be seen that if someone gathers with people who are diligent in worship or pray in congregation, then he will be like that and if he gathers with someone who likes to gamble, then more or less he will be like that too.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of multiple-choice items in the Odd Semester Final Exam for the 2022/2023 academic year of Islamic Education subject in SMA Negeri 1 Padang, focusing on the aspects of difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor quality. This study employs a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. The sample used in this research consists of 420 students, which represents the entire population, using a total sampling technique. The data collection method utilized in this study is documentation. The data analysis technique employed is ANATES version 4. Based on the difficulty level calculation using ANATES version 4, the results showed that out of 50 items, 3 items (6%) were classified as difficult, 12 items (24%) as moderate, and 35 items (70%) as easy. Regarding the discrimination analysis using ANATES version 4, out of 50 items, 18 items (36%) were categorized as poor, 17 items (34%) as fair, 14 items (28%) as good, no items were categorized as very good, and 1 item (2%) was categorized as a negative item, which indicates the need for removal or replacement. Lastly, based on the analysis of distractor quality, 15 items (30%) were found to have effective distractors, while 35 items (70%) had ineffective distractors.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies employed by school principals to enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education in primary schools. The study utilizes a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data sources are obtained through structured interviews with four key informants, including the school principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and students. To strengthen the interview data, the author also conducts direct observations and analyzes relevant documentation to ensure comprehensive research outcomes. All data are analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The research findings reveal nine strategies implemented by school principals to improve the quality of instruction. These nine strategies consist of two aspects of planning (internal analysis and external analysis), five aspects of implementation (providing continuous motivation to teachers, enhancing teacher competence, fostering discipline among teachers and students, improving student quality, and enhancing learning facilities), and two aspects of evaluation (supervision and routine evaluation). These strategies can serve as references for schools in enhancing the quality of instruction in various primary schools in Indonesia
