Abstract

Mathematics is a subject which is usually considered difficult by some students, including elementary school students, junior high school students, and high school students. Mathematics aims to encourage students to be skilled in using mathematics and also for practical needs and solving problems in everyday life such as calculating, measurements and interpreting data on computers. Currently, the mathematics learning process still uses conventional methods and lacks innovation in the learning which is taught, which is more fixated on so many textbooks so that this makes it difficult for students to learn these lessons, and will have an impact on students' scores being low. Along with the development of technology, there is an increase in people using smart devices, such as cellphones and tablets, but many are only used to play games. With these problems, there are now many mobile learning applications (m-learning) which aim to help students in efficient and interesting learning. This study aims to design and create a mobile-based application for learning mathematics for 6th grade students of elementary school to help them learn math-related problems in an interesting way. This research produces an application with a user-friendly menu display, and is equipped with practice questions and scores, so that it has benefits for 6th grade students of elementary school in solving problems related to mathematics subjects.

Abstract

Penerapan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan percakapan, meningkatkan minat dalam berinteraksi dengan sistem, serta memberikan bantuan akademis yang memadai untuk membantu siswa berhasil dalam proses pembelajaran. Di SMP Negeri 1 Kalirejo, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah, masih banyak siswa yang belum mengetahui tentang kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI), khususnya ChatGPT. Akibatnya, mereka cenderung ketinggalan informasi terkini tentang teknologi dan belum memahami perkembangan AI yang sewaktu-waktu dapat menggantikan peran manusia sebagai tenaga kerja. Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi juga perlu diperhatikan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan manfaat penggunaan ChatGPT dalam konteks pengajaran bahasa Inggris, khususnya bagi siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Kalirejo, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Hasil pelaksanaan PkM menunjukkan bahwa para siswa sangat antusias mempelajari penggunaan AI, khususnya ChatGPT. Selanjutnya, diperlukan pendampingan dari guru untuk menggunakan ChatGPT dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di kelas, sehingga dapat terlihat dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Namun, ketergantungan yang berlebihan pada kecerdasan buatan dapat menyebabkan perkembangan keterampilan yang terbatas. Oleh karena itu, pengawasan dan panduan terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT sangat dibutuhkan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of driving teachers to improve the quality of education in elementary schools in Sumberejo District, Tanggamus Regency. The sub-focus of this study includes how driving teachers move learning communities in schools and in their areas, how driving teachers accompany fellow teachers regarding learning development, how driving teachers improve student leadership in schools, how driving teachers open discussion spaces or collaboration with stakeholders to improve the quality of learning, how driving teachers as learning leaders who focus on the welfare of the educational ecosystem in schools, how to overcome obstacles or constraints in implementing improvements for driving teachers in improving the quality of education. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the role of driving teachers in improving the quality of education faces various obstacles, such as lack of support from the principal, fellow teachers, and policy makers, as well as limited communication and coordination. This study recommends that to optimize their role, full support from various parties, increased coordination, and responsive policies are needed to optimize the role of driving teachers in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic requires the learning process to take place online, this has an impact on teachers who are required to creatively innovate unusual learning processes. This research aims to determine the difference in the average learning outcomes of students during online learning between the application of learning videos before and after receiving the learning video intervention treatment. The research instrument used was a test of statistics material. The learning outcomes test data obtained were processed by paired t-test. This research found that there was a difference in the average learning outcomes of students before and after the application of learning videos. The application of learning videos provides better learning outcomes than before using learning videos.

Abstract

Numeracy and literacy skill is some of the current demands that are expected to be the competencies that students have. The purpose of this research is to find out the numeracy and literacy skills of elementary school students before and after receiving periodic assistance on the Kampus Mengajar Perintis program. Sampling was done by using the saturated sampling technique. The research instrument used was problems derived from the literacy and numeracy modules of the elementary school level. The data analysis technique used the paired t-test because the population research data were normally distributed. The result of this research is that the literacy ability of elementary school students has increased with the acquisition of an average score of 8.47. It is higher than before getting the treatment of the Kampus Mengajar Perintis program which is 7.25. Then, the numeracy ability of elementary school students has increased with the acquisition of an average score of 8.16. It is higher than before getting the treatment of the Kampus Mengajar Perintis program which is 6.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the structural equation model (Structural Equation Model) on the perceptions of users of the graduates of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) Muhammadiyah Pringsewu University on the performance abilities of graduates' main competencies and the ability to work in teams. This research will use the Partial Least Square (PLS) method which can be used for small samples. In addition, PLS does not require the assumption that the data distribution must be normal or not. The results of this research are ethics, developing English language skills, and self-development has a positive effect on the ability to work in teams and performance skills related to the main competencies of graduates. Also, there is a positive influence from the ability to work on the main competencies, whereby increasing the ability to work will increase the main competencies of FKIP UMPRI graduates.

Abstract

Spiritual-based character education is increasingly important in addressing the moral challenges of the younger generation in the era of globalization. This study aims to analyze the management of a spiritual-based guidance and counseling (BK) program at SMA Negeri 1 Way Khilau, Pesawaran Regency. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Research informants included the principal, BK teachers, religious teachers, and students. The results showed that the BK program management was carried out through four main stages: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. This program integrated counseling services with spiritual habits such as Dhuha prayer, morning sermons, and Islamic mentoring. Program evaluation indicated increased discipline, student involvement in religious activities, and strengthening of religious character. The program's success was supported by a religious school culture and the principal's leadership, although obstacles remained such as a limited number of BK teachers and low parental involvement. This study confirms that the integration of spiritual values in BK services is an effective strategy for shaping student character and can serve as a model of good practice for other schools.

Abstract

To keep up with the times, English learning needs to be learned from elementary school. There are still many human resources in Indonesia who are not proficient or even unable to speak English. This is due to the uneven distribution of English teaching in schools. Many schools did not teach English Education due to several factors, including: first, English is not a compulsory subject in schools. Second, the lack of teachers who can teach English. Third, the lack of learning media that support English teaching. Fourth, the location of the school is far from the city. Fifth, the lack of awareness of the school about the importance of English learning. The purpose of creating this digital learning application and its application in English subjects is to make English learning more enjoyable, thereby increasing students' interest in learning. With this application program, it is hoped that students can easily learn and understand as much vocabulary as possible and how to pronounce the vocabulary in English. The type of research method is a qualitative method. The results show the increasing enthusiasm of SDN 10 Way Lima students for English lessons through mobile web-based digital learning applications, because this application can provide a more interesting learning experience for students. This application can facilitate the process of learning English. It can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Flexible learning time makes it easier for teachers to make student learning activities at school more active, so that learning objectives will be implemented effectively.

Abstract

Literasi fungsional sangat bermanfaat Setiap saat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemampuan matematika yang efektif berguna dalam pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan komunikasi dengan orang lain. Penciptaan pengetahuan praktis menjadi sangat penting sejak saat itu memungkinkan masyarakat mampu terlibat dalam segala kegiatan yang memerlukan baca tulisan kemampuan sehingga kelompok dan masyarakat dapat berjalan dengan sukses serta mampu terus menggunakan kemampuannya membaca, menulis, dan berprilaku. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Informasi yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini mencerminkan kesimpulan guru dan siswa di SMK 1 Pringsewu. Metodologi pengumpulan data memadukan teknik rekam dan catat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum Merdeka berfungsi baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan fungsional membaca dan menulis siswa. Temuan penelitian jelas menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran inkuiri dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek jauh lebih berhasil dalam meningkatkan kefasihan praktik siswa di SMK Pringsewu Lampung.

Abstract

Membaca merupakan aktivitas yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan awal anak karena dapat membantu mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi dan bahasa. Selain itu, latihan membaca juga berkontribusi dalam mengasah kemampuan berpikir kreatif anak. Meskipun orang tua sering menghadapi tantangan dalam mengajarkan kebiasaan membaca pada anak, mereka bersama dengan guru harus memastikan anak tetap termotivasi untuk belajar, karena manfaat belajar sangat besar bagi perkembangan anak. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan karakter gemar membaca pada anak-anak usia sekolah dasar. Orang tua yang memberikan teladan membaca serta menyediakan bahan bacaan yang menarik dapat memperkuat kebiasaan membaca pada anak, yang pada gilirannya mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan emosional mereka. Artikel ini juga membahas faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat baca anak dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kebiasaan membaca di rumah dan sekolah, dengan melibatkan kerjasama antara orang tua dan guru.
