Abstract

The role of a brand ambassador is considered strategic, as it helps build an emotional connection between a brand and its consumers. The use of Korean celebrities as brand ambassadors has become common among Indonesian products due to the global popularity of Korean culture, known as the “Korean Wave.” This study aims to measure the effectiveness of NCT Dream as the brand ambassador of the TosTos snack product among non-Gen Z audiences using the VisCAP model, which includes four components: Visibility, Credibility, Attraction, and Power. This model is considered effective in evaluating how well a brand ambassador conveys a brand message. The research used a descriptive quantitative method, with data collected through an online questionnaire. The sampling technique was non-probability quota sampling, involving 400 respondents from the general public aged 28 years and older who are familiar with NCT Dream as TosTos’s brand ambassador. The findings indicate that NCT Dream is effective as a brand ambassador for TosTos, even among millennial and older age groups, with the “Visibility” component receiving the highest score among the four indicators.

The urgency of this research is to find out the subject's experience when the quantity of information is abundant and whether they have balanced it with literacy in navigating to get the truth when consuming news on digital platforms. This study aims to discover and reveal how sceptical audiences experience navigating the truth in the news environment on digital platforms. Using a descriptive phenomenology approach, the qualitative research design was conducted through in-depth interviews with 14 participants from various work professions. The results found that actors who navigate the truth use social media applications such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook by checking the credibility of news sources, considering context, and verifying from other sources. Abstract

Future anxiety is a condition where individuals experience uncertainty, fear, anxiety, and concern about potential undesirable changes in the future. The varied backgrounds of the informants add appeal to this study. This research aims to understand how the audience interprets the phenomenon of future anxiety in the music video "Masalah Masa Depan." The music video was chosen for its stronger message delivery compared to just the song. This study employs a qualitative method with Stuart Hall's reception analysis approach, categorising informants into three positions: dominant, negotiated, and oppositional. The findings reveal that three informants have dominant reception, three have negotiated reception, and two have oppositional reception. Informants, aged 16-24 and working as final-year students or young employees, perceive future anxiety as a phenomenon influenced by economic and employment factors.

Abstract

The product innovations produced by Meal for 60+ focused on healthy food for the elderly. The purpose of Meal for 60+ is as a medium that can help everyone, be it mothers, fathers, teenagers, and children, in serving healthy food for the elderly at home. It is not easy for people to accept an innovative product. Companies must be able to build a Brand Image for their innovative products in the eyes of potential consumers. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out what factors are in the diffusion of innovative products and can be used to create messages on websites and Instagram. The paradigm in this research is positivistic with a quantitative approach and the research method used is a survey. The distribution of the questionnaire focused on respondents in Solo and Tulungagung. The results of this study indicate that Meal for 60+ should be more aggressive in conveying information related to their products. This is because respondents need acceptance from the surrounding community first before accepting innovative products. The keyword "healthy diet menu" is the main reference for respondents in searching for news. “HEREDITY.ID” will be one of the portal websites that can be accessed by the public, accommodates and becomes a source of detailed information on patent products in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country full of diversity, and it is united through the motto of the Indonesian people, namely “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”. However, this motto must be maintained by introducing it to children from an early age. The use of technology can be utilized to introduce the motto through children's film animation. One of the Indonesian works who reflects the spirit of pluralism and displays cultural identity, namely Si Entong. The uniqueness shown in the Entong movie is the character of children who come from various ethnic groups and the use of dialect. Relying on the theory of identity negotiation was proposed by Stella Ting-Toomey, the authors' findings in the animated film "Si Entong" were elaborated with Phillip Mayring's qualitative content analysis method. This research rests on an interpretive paradigm to find three main elements of content analysis, including: abstraction, application and structuration. These three stages are identified by the researcher as a reflection of pluralism and cultural identity in the story of " Si Entong".

Abstract

This study aims to understand the process of self-disclosure in interpersonal communication between female Roblox players and their male friends, beginning in the digital space and developing into real-world friendships. This study uses a qualitative approach with a single case study design based on multiple units of analysis, in which the single case examined is the phenomenon of self-disclosure on the Roblox platform as a whole, with three pairs of informants (one female Roblox player and one male friend she met through the platform) serving as units of analysis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation of personal conversations between informants, analyzed with the aid of NVivo. The findings reveal five main results: Roblox functions as a safe space constructed differently by each informant according to her psychological barriers; self-disclosure develops gradually from shallow to personal topics as trust increases; men tend to open up first, yet women initiate the move to a more private platform; face-to-face meetings function as a relational bridge that verifies trust built online; and the resulting friendships are unexpected. This study contributes to self-disclosure research by showing that digital self-disclosure is actively constructed by users according to their own psychological needs.
