Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has heterogeneously affected the use of essential health services worldwide, with disruptions in some countries beginning in the early stages of the emergency in March 2020. These disruptions have occurred on both the supply and demand sides of healthcare and have often been related to resource shortages to provide care and lower patient turnout associated with mobility restrictions and fear of contracting COVID-19 at facilities. The goal of this paper, compare the HBsAg test before and after the COVID-19 pandemic to a pregnant woman's early detection with HBsAg to achieve the target of at least 80% in 2020. Method using a simple mathematical calculation modeling approach developed to predict health service use until the pandemic using routinely collected health information systems data (SIHEPI). Results show HBsAg reactive Proportion of total pregnant women in each Province is about 2,1% on 47,91% of pregnant women in Indonesia, highest in eastern Indonesia province (NTT, Papua, and West Papua). With a calculation of 80% targeted a pregnant woman in 2020, reactive Proportion predicted about 4,4% in Indonesia, West Papua becomes the highest Province with 21,38%, Papua about 12,63%, and NTT about 11,31%. In conclusion, refered to comparison of mathematical calculation approach from 80% targeted average become 4,4% reactive HBsAg test. Delaying early detection in pregnant women before and after the covid19 pandemic becomes a double burden in Indonesia. These phenomena become a high-risk factor for maternal-to-child transmission. Indonesia needs serious action to achieve Hepatitis B elimination in 2030.

Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of promising mineral wealth, one of which is copper, but its processing into cathodes is still minimal while domestic demand is not yet sufficient. In accordance with the strategic downstream investment plan for mineral commodities, especially copper, which has been included in the state downstream document, it requires a comprehensive financial feasibility document, especially for PT. X. The analysis in this research uses a reference capacity of 25,000 tons of cathode. This research aims to determine the technical factors in building a copper cathode factory, determine the amount of investment required in the form of CAPEX and OPEX, and determine its financial feasibility. The method used in financial feasibility analysis at PT. This X is Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). Based on the research results, it was found that the total CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) costs that had to be incurred were $ 330,589,628 and the total OPEX (Operational Expenditure) costs that had to be spent was $ 312,257,456 with an NPV value of $ 27,505,439, an IRR value of $ 27,505,439. 15.1%, and PP value for 6 years 10 months. Therefore, the project to build a copper cathode factory at PT. X is worth continuing.

Abstract

Chinese culture plays an important role in shaping the dynamics of family businesses in Indonesia, especially in the context of increasingly intense business competition. This study aims to address gaps in understanding the influence of Chinese culture, including guanxi culture, Confucian inheritance, and the succession process, as well as strategic orientation, namely entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation, on firm performance, with competitive advantage as a mediating variable. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a data analysis approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected through surveys distributed to 232 Chinese family businesses in Bekasi and DKI Jakarta. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, where companies were chosen based on certain criteria, such as family structure, years of operation, and family member involvement in management. The data collection instrument consisted of structured questionnaires containing questions about corporate culture, strategic orientation, competitive advantage, and firm performance. The results of the study show that competitive advantage significantly mediates the influence of the succession process, entrepreneurial orientation, and market orientation on firm performance. However, guanxi culture and Confucian inheritance do not show a significant influence on firm performance, either directly or through competitive advantage. These findings contribute theoretically with five novel models related to the relationship between Chinese culture, strategic orientation, and firm performance in Indonesia. The implications of this study suggest that Chinese family businesses need to focus more on innovation, market adaptability, and succession management to maintain competitiveness and enhance business performance, while traditional values such as guanxi and Confucianism may require further adaptation to remain relevant in the modern business context.

Abstract

The intersection of political ideology and judicial decision-making has been a subject of extensive debate in legal and political scholarship. Courts, especially in common law jurisdictions, are often viewed as impartial arbiters of justice. However, empirical research suggests that judges' ideological leanings influence their rulings, particularly in politically charged cases. This study aims to explore the extent to which political ideology shapes judicial reasoning and decision-making processes. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research analyzes judicial opinions, legal commentaries, and case law from high courts in various jurisdictions. A comparative analysis of rulings on constitutional rights, administrative law, and social justice issues is conducted to identify patterns linked to ideological stances. The findings indicate that conservative-leaning judges are more likely to favor restrictive interpretations of statutes and constitutional provisions, whereas liberal-leaning judges tend to adopt an expansive approach, particularly on civil rights and regulatory matters. Additionally, the study highlights how external political pressures and institutional structures mediate these ideological influences. The study concludes that while judicial decision-making is framed within legal principles, political ideology remains an underlying factor shaping legal interpretations. Recognizing these influences can inform judicial selection processes and foster transparency in legal reasoning. This research contributes to legal scholarship by providing a nuanced understanding of the ideological dimensions of judicial behavior, emphasizing the need for judicial accountability and impartiality in upholding the rule of law.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) in the Indonesian sports shoe industry and its impact on the company's competitive advantage. The objectives of the study were to analyze GSCM practices implemented by the Indonesian sports shoe industry, identify factors that influence the success of GSCM implementation, and measure its impact on the company's environmental performance and competitive advantage. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on 120 APRISINDO member sports shoe companies. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. The results showed that the implementation of GSCM including green purchasing, eco-design, green manufacturing, and reverse logistics had a significant positive effect on environmental performance (β=0.672, p<0.01) and competitive advantage (β=0.583, p<0.01). The main supporting factors for the success of GSCM were top management commitment, green technology capabilities, and collaboration with suppliers. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of GSCM in the Indonesian sports shoe industry.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to examine the mediating role of value creation innovation in the relationship between organizational performance and the independent variables digital transformation and strategic agility. This study employs a quantitative research method with a nonprobability sampling approach and purposive sampling technique, targeting first-level and middle-level managers as the unit of analysis. The final sample consists of 156 respondents with data collected cross-sectionally. The collected data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4. The results indicate that value creation innovation plays a full mediating role in the relationship between digital transformation and strategic agility on organizational performance, as the estimated mediation effect is greater than the direct effect. Theoretical implications of this research highlight that incorporating value creation innovation as a mediating variable strengthens the impact of digital transformation and strategic agility on organizational performance. The limitations of this study are that the respondents are only companies in bonded zones whose numbers are limited, with variables and research methods that are still limited. Future research should consider expanding the sample to include companies beyond bonded zones, integrating additional exogenous variables into the research model, and employing qualitative or mixed methods approaches to gain deeper insights.
