Abstract

This study examines the implementation of muhadatsah activities as a strategy for developing Arabic speaking skills at MA NU Banat Kudus and identifies the factors supporting and hindering their implementation. The study addresses the limited research on muhadatsah as an institutional program integrated with bi’ah lughawiyyah, as previous studies have predominantly emphasized learning outcomes rather than program implementation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving 14 informants: one Language Center head, one madrasah principal, two muhadatsah teachers, and ten tenth-grade students. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The findings reveal that muhadatsah activities were systematically implemented through structured learning stages, communicative strategies, continuous assessment, and the establishment of a supportive bi’ah lughawiyyah. Program implementation was supported by institutional commitment, appropriate learning materials, and student enthusiasm. However, several challenges remained, including scheduling constraints, differences between boarding and non-boarding students, and students’ varying initial mastery of mufradat. The study contributes a comprehensive implementation model that integrates instructional strategies, bi’ah lughawiyyah, and evaluation within a unified system for developing Arabic speaking skills. The findings offer theoretical contributions to Arabic speaking instruction and practical guidance for madrasahs and Islamic educational institutions seeking to establish effective and sustainable muhadatsah programs.

Abstract

This study aims to elucidate the portrait of an educational institution that actualizes Islam Nusantara values in the process of transferring knowledge to the students. This study applied a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews and documentation at one madrasah in Kudus City, Central Java, namely Madrasah Qudsiyyah, which is very close to local traditions and culture. This study’s results revealed that the forms of Islam Nusantara values actualization in this institution were generally depicted in the uniform as madrasah identity, teaching materials/references using Javanese, learning methods, activity essences both in routine activities and specific events, and the teachers’ productivity with their scientific specifications; thus, they give nuances that are typical of the archipelago in this madrasah.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to scrutinize the curriculum and learning methods in pesantren (Islamic boarding school)-based madrasahs in order to accomplish tafaqquh fi ad-din for students. This article also aims to identify the portion and balance between religious and general materials in the applied curriculum structure. In addition, this study explores the learning methods employed and their effectiveness in reinforcing an in-depth understanding of religion. The locus of the research is in Madrasah Aliyah Qudsiyyah Putri, a pesantren based madrasah. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design and descriptive analysis type. Data collection techniques encompass observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show that Madrasah Aliyah Qudsiyyah Putri creates a balanced curriculum between religious and general education, which seeks to produce graduates who are intellectually intelligent and have noble morals. By integrating modern approaches, yellow books, and technology, this pesantren shapes students who are ready to face the challenges of the times and become agents of social change.

Abstract

Seiring perkembangan zaman yang serba digital, maka media pembelajaran pun menyesuaikan keadaan tersebut. Vlog salah satu media sosial sekarang menjadi tren yang berkembang di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Media sosial ini kalau dikemas secara apik juga bisa menjadi suatu media pembelajaran yang sangat menarik dan memberikan nilai plus dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penggunaan media sosial Vlog pada pembelajaran maharah kalam dan persepsi mahasiswa dalam penggunaan Vlog pada pembelajaran maharah kalam. Metodologi yang digunakan penulis dalam artikel adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Jenis ini disesuaikan dengan tujuan penulisan artikel, yakni untuk memberikan informasi dan gambaran terkait objek. Lokus kajian artikel ini adalah  mahasiswa Fakultas Dakwah IAIN Kudus semester Ganjil TA 2019-2020. Hasil temuan yang didapat oleh penulis dari kajian ini; 1) Pemilihan Vlog sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran maharah kalam bagi mahasiswa karena memiliki banyak nilai positif atau kelebihan, yakni bersifat mudah dan fleksibel; murah dan ekonomis; dan meningatkan kreatifitas mahasiswa. 2) penggunaan Vlog mampu meningkatkan perfomansi atau percaya diri dalam berbicara bahasa Arab.
