Abstract

This study aimed to improve IPAS learning outcomes through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by interactive PowerPoint in Grade IIIB of Bangetayu Wetan 02 Elementary School. The study was motivated by low student learning outcomes in IPAS, particularly on the topic of Family and Community Traditions. This Classroom Action Research employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model and was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The participants were 29 Grade IIIB students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation and analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The success criterion was set at least 75% of students achieving the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) score of 75. The results showed an improvement in learning outcomes following the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by interactive PowerPoint. The average score increased from 68.28 in the pre-action stage to 72.07 in Cycle I and 88.28 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 31.03% in the pre-action stage to 62.07% in Cycle I and 86.21% in Cycle II, exceeding the predetermined success criterion. These findings indicate that the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by interactive PowerPoint was followed by improved IPAS learning outcomes in the research context and may support more active and meaningful learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in elementary schools includes listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. However, students’ learning outcomes remain low because learning is often teacher-centered, audiovisual media is not used optimally, and some students show limited participation and are easily distracted. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by audiovisual media, changes in student activity, improvement in learning outcomes, and changes in classical mastery from the pre-cycle to the second cycle. This research employed Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and McTaggart design, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 28 students, comprising 15 boys and 13 girls. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and tests, and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The average score increased from 55.7 in the pre-cycle to 63.9 in the first cycle and 82.3 in the second cycle. Classical mastery increased from 7.1% to 21.4% and finally to 92.9%. In the second cycle, 26 students achieved the minimum mastery criterion of 75. Therefore, the implementation of Discovery Learning assisted by audiovisual media successfully improved students’ activity and Indonesian language learning outcomes.

Abstract

Research on the development of technology-based interactive worksheets is still minimal. The study aims to develop interactive worksheets assisted by Liveworksheets to improve students' numeracy literacy that meets the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. Media experts and material experts assess the validity of interactive worksheets. The practicality of using interactive worksheets is based on teacher and student responses. The effectiveness of implementing trigonometry learning using interactive worksheets is reviewed from the results of the pretest and posttest increase in students' numeracy literacy skills. The development research uses the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study results showed that the Interactive Worksheet assisted by Liveworksheets was valid, with 86% validity from media experts and 80% from material experts. Interactive worksheets are categorized as very practical, with a score of 94.80% from the teacher response questionnaire and 84.60% from the student response questionnaire. Learning using interactive worksheets assisted by Liveworksheets effectively improves students' numeracy literacy. Technology-based scaffolding assistance applied to learning using liveworksheets makes it more interesting and motivates students to think about numeracy literacy.
