Abstract

PT. XY is a company engaged in the food industry, namely instant noodles. The problem encountered atPT XY was that one of the machines that used in instant noodle production often stopped operating due toa breakdown. The machine that often experiences breakdowns is the Wrapping Line 4 machine, which is apackaging machine for cup noodle products. This results in a long machine downtime so that theproduction target is not achieved. One approach to addressing this problem is Total ProductiveMaintenance (TPM) which is measured through Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six BigLosses. This study aims to calculate the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value, calculate the valueof the Six Big Losses factor and determine the root cause of the dominant problem of the Six Big Lossesfactor using a fishbone diagram. The calculation results show that the OEE value on the Wrapping Line 4is below the international standard, which is 78.03%. Dominant factors that cause machine effectivenesswas low are quality defect losses by 63,54% and reduce speed losses by 24,87%.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

The synthetic eyelash manufacturing industry in Indonesia, particularly PT Hyup Sung Indonesia (HSI) in Purbalingga, faces ongoing challenges in maintaining product quality due to a high incidence of defects. This study aims to analyze and mitigate production-related risks through the application of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). FMEA is utilized to systematically identify potential failure modes and prioritize improvement efforts based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN), while FTA is employed to trace the root causes of critical failures in a hierarchical structure. The FMEA results identified three major failure modes with the highest RPN values: knot misalignment during opening (RPN 150), insufficient application of adhesive (RPN 140), and curling of the knot during opening (RPN 140). FTA revealed that these issues primarily arise from equipment-related factors, operator handling methods, and inconsistencies in the oven-setting process. Based on these findings, several corrective actions are proposed, including the replacement of production tools (racks and brushes), installation of automatic timers, standardization of operating procedures, and operator training programs. The implementation of these measures is expected to reduce the risk of production failures and enhance the overall quality of synthetic eyelash products

Abstract

Technoparks play a pivotal role in fostering regional innovation; however, many in Indonesia face significant challenges, including underutilized facilities and inconsistent service quality, which constrain their overall effectiveness. This study aims to evaluate and enhance the service quality of Technoparks in Java—specifically in Solo, Bandung, and Pekalongan—by implementing the CARTER model, which assesses six dimensions: Compliance, Assurance, Reliability, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, integrating the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), further enriched by spatial mapping. The findings reveal varying levels of visitor satisfaction across the locations. Pekalongan Technopark achieved the highest CSI score of 87.41% ("Excellent"), followed by Bandung Technopark at 83.77% ("Good") and Solo Technopark at 82.05% ("Good"). The IPA results highlight that the Empathy and Responsiveness dimensions require significant improvement, particularly at Solo Technopark. Consequently, this study recommends strategic interventions focused on service development tailored to visitor needs, the optimization of underutilized facilities, and the enhancement of human resource quality. These findings serve as a strategic reference for Technopark management to bolster competitiveness and contribute to the sustainable development of local innovation and economic ecosystems.

Abstract

Company performance is supported by employee productivity, so an ideal workload is one way to maintain good company performance. PT. XYZ is a company engaged in financial services. Interviews with several employees revealed overlapping work, despite each having their job description. This imbalance in employee workload potentially leads to excessive workloads. This study aims to determine the workload received by PT employees. XYZ and choose the required number of employees based on workload calculations. This study uses the full-time equivalent (FTE) method, which analyzes workload based on employee working time converted into an FTE index value. The results show that 17% of employees have an inload workload, 33% are overloaded, and 50% are underloaded. When evaluated based on the field of work, workload equalization needs to be carried out. The separation of work involves adding two employees in the General and Participant Service division and one employee in the Administration and Membership division and reducing two employees in the Finance and Accounting division. Equalizing the workload needs to be done to help employees be more effective and productive in their work.
