Abstract

Penetratif entrainment pada aliran air mancur transisi dan turbulen merupakan fenomena penting yang memengaruhi efisiensi energi dan distribusi massa dalam berbagai aplikasi teknik, seperti sistem pendinginan dan rekayasa lingkungan. Permasalahan utama dalam studi ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman kuantitatif mengenai mekanisme entrainment pada kondisi aliran dengan variasi densitas dan kecepatan yang kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi laju aliran entrainment penetratif menggunakan pendekatan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Simulasi dilakukan dalam ruang berdimensi 40 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm dengan pemodelan mesh tetrahedral, menghasilkan 21.839 node dan 81.742 elemen. Dua inlet dengan densitas berbeda digunakan: 997 kg/m³ pada ketinggian 18 cm dan 1.100 kg/m³ pada ketinggian 0 cm, guna merepresentasikan kondisi transisi hingga turbulen. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa laju entrainment meningkat signifikan seiring kenaikan bilangan Reynolds. Pada outlet (ketinggian 0 cm), diperoleh densitas 1.021,2 kg/m³, laju aliran volumetrik 26.729,3 mm³/s, dan bilangan Reynolds sebesar 1.381,91, yang mengindikasikan kondisi aliran laminar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme entrainment lebih didominasi oleh difusi massa daripada turbulensi dalam kondisi ini. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang pengembangan sistem yang efisien untuk aplikasi dengan aliran rendah hingga menengah. Abstract

The synthetic eyelash manufacturing industry in Indonesia, particularly PT Hyup Sung Indonesia (HSI) in Purbalingga, faces ongoing challenges in maintaining product quality due to a high incidence of defects. This study aims to analyze and mitigate production-related risks through the application of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). FMEA is utilized to systematically identify potential failure modes and prioritize improvement efforts based on the Risk Priority Number (RPN), while FTA is employed to trace the root causes of critical failures in a hierarchical structure. The FMEA results identified three major failure modes with the highest RPN values: knot misalignment during opening (RPN 150), insufficient application of adhesive (RPN 140), and curling of the knot during opening (RPN 140). FTA revealed that these issues primarily arise from equipment-related factors, operator handling methods, and inconsistencies in the oven-setting process. Based on these findings, several corrective actions are proposed, including the replacement of production tools (racks and brushes), installation of automatic timers, standardization of operating procedures, and operator training programs. The implementation of these measures is expected to reduce the risk of production failures and enhance the overall quality of synthetic eyelash products

Abstract

Ketidaksesuaian antara data persediaan dalam sistem dengan stok aktual di gudang dapat menghambat operasional dan meningkatkan biaya pada perusahaan manufaktur. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT XYZ, untuk menganalisis faktor penyebab ketidaksesuaian dalam stock opname dan mengusulkan perbaikan guna meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan persediaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab terjadinya ketidaksesuaian stok dan mengusulkan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah DMAI (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve) yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Kaizen untuk perbaikan berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketidaksesuaian stok disebabkan oleh pencatatan yang tidak akurat, ketidaksesuaian data sistem dengan kondisi fisik, serta kesulitan dalam pelacakan barang. Faktor utama yang berkontribusi meliputi kurangnya disiplin dalam prosedur pencatatan, lingkungan gudang yang kurang optimal, serta tidak adanya sistem penyimpanan yang terstruktur. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, diterapkan prinsip 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pencatatan stok. Implementasi usulan perbaikan ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi selisih antara stok sistem dan stok aktual, serta meningkatkan efisiensi operasional perusahaan.

Abstract

Tahu merupakan salah satu makanan yang banyak digermari masyarakat Indonesia. Selain rasanya yang enak tahu juga menyimpan banyak protein yang baik untuk tubuh. Pembuatan tahu menggunakan bahan baku kacang kedelai yang kemudian dihancurkan dan dibentuk ulang seperti menyerupai bentuk kotak. Selain itu tahu juga bisa diolah menjadi berbagai macam masakan. Desa Kalisari Kecamatan Cilongok Kabupaten Banyumas merupakan desa sentra pembuatan tahu. Sebagian besar penduduk desa kalisari memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai produsen tahu. Tahu yang dibuat perhari bisa mencapai 50 hingga 100kg untuk 1 produsen tahu rumahan. Pembuatan tahu tersebut tidak lepas dari limbah tahu yang biasanya akan dibuang atau menjadi campuran bagi pakan ternak. UKM Suwardi merupakan salah satu UKM yang memiliki inisiatif mengolah limbah tahu menjadi makan yang memiliki nilai lebih. Salah satu produk yang dihasilkan oleh UKM Suwardi adalah krupuk ampas tahu. Usaha pembuatan kerupuk ini sudah berjalan sejak tahun 2011 hingga kini. Kerupuk banyak dipasarkan di sekitan Kabupaten Banyumas bahkan Jawa Tengah. Adanya pandemi membuat ekonomi dari usaha kerupuk ampas tahu menjadi tidak stabil. Akibat tidak ada produksi dalam waktu yang lama membuat mesin produksi yang biasa digunakan untuk memotong adonan kerupuk menjadi berkarat dan tidak higenis. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mendampingi dalam pembuatan mesin kerupuk ampas tahu yang lebih higenis sehingga kualitas dari produk krupuk ampas tahu bisa lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

The increasingly rapid development of technology has led to the emergence of mobile commerce (m-commerce) as a new business phenomenon. Tokopedia and Shopee are m-commerce that are widely used by Indonesian people compared to other m-commerce. However, the Tokopedia and Shopee applications still have problems such as crashes, errors, buffering, bugs, an unfriendly and messy UI display, search features that are not suitable or working properly, unhelpful customer service, and other user complaints felt by users towards service quality. The existence of these complaints can create a gap between the services provided by the application and the services expected by users. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the quality of service on the Tokopedia and Shopee applications by measuring service quality using the M-S-QUAL method and identifying priority service attributes that require improvement using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method. Research data was obtained from the results of questionnaires to 100 respondents who used Tokopedia and Shopee. Based on the calculation results, the Tokopedia and Shopee applications have a negative average gap value in all dimensions, meaning that the service quality of the Tokopedia and Shopee applications has not met the expectations of their users. Then, the results of the analysis using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) obtained 8 attributes on Tokopedia (EF2, EF3, EF5, EF7, EF8, SA3, SA4, and CON3) and 8 attributes on Shopee (EF5, EF7, EF8, SA3, SA4, COM3, CON2, and CON3) which are the main priorities for improvement. Thus, these attributes will be given recommendations for improvement to increase or improve the quality of the service.

Abstract

In the current era of regional autonomy, regional economic development should be conducted sustainably across all fields, sectors, and sub-sectors in a programmed manner. Sustainable regional economic development is influenced by comparative advantages, regional specialization, and the economic potential of a particular area. The primary objective of regional economic development is to enhance the well-being of the community through an increase in the quantity and variety of job opportunities. Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is one way to boost employment opportunities, involving a significant workforce and identifying competitive sectors in the region to enhance regional economic development. Boyolali Regency has shown relatively good growth in SMEs; however, there is a lack of mapping for basic sectors within these SMEs. This absence may lead to suboptimal utilization of available labor and production outcomes. Therefore, this research aims to identify and map SMEs with the potential to absorb more labor in Boyolali Regency. The Location Quotient (LQ) method is utilized to identify basic and non-basic types of SMEs using labor data from SMEs in Boyolali Regency. LQ calculations demonstrate that each SME has various basic sectors. This analysis produces mapping data of basic SMEs that can be used as a reference for more targeted development in SMEs, leading to increased job absorption.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan visibilitas dan daya tarik Program Studi Teknik Industri Unsoed, pemilihan lokasi pemasangan billboard menjadi aspek penting dalam strategi promosi. Lokasi yang strategis perlu dianalisas secara objektif dengan mempertimbangkan beberapa kriteria, seperti biaya, ukuran billboard, kepadatan lalu lintas, durasi lampu lalu lintas, dan jarak ke pusat kota. Pemilihan ini bertujuan menentukan lokasi terbaik untuk pemasangan billboard promosi di wilayah Purwokerto menggunakan metode Electre II. Metode ini melibatkan normaliasai data, pembobotan kriteria, serta analisis nilai concordance dan discordance untuk memperoleh peringkat alternatif lokasi. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa Simpang 4 Srimaya merupakan lokasi paling optimal dengan skor tertinggi, ditunjang kepadatan lalu lintas tinggi (150 kendaraan per menit) dan rata-rata durasi lampu lalu lintas yang lama (125 detik). Lokasi potensial lainnya adalah simpanng 4 Klenteng SKJ dan Simpang 4 GOR Satria. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis dalam pemilihan lokasi iklan luar ruang yang efektif dan eisien untuk promosi program studi kepada calon mahasiswa.

Abstract

PT. IRNC is a company that operates in the smelter industry. One of the company's production processes is to produce and distribute raw materials in the form of wet Ore into iron and steel products. The distribution of raw materials in this company is continuously ongoing, leading to frequent failures in the functions of the gearbox and the chain of transportation of mineral raw materials. The company has a bustling machine activity but is not associated with the preventive maintenance activities of the machine. One of the activities that can solve the maintenance problem is scheduling preventative maintenance activities and periodic repairs to the gearbox and chain carrier of raw materials. Preventive maintenance is the maintenance activity on the machine which has the purpose of preventing the occurrence of damage, or the maintenance method for the machine planned for the prevention to extend the life of the machine as well as to avoid the failure of function on the machinery that may occur during the production process. This research aims to provide recommendations for scheduled maintenance of the machine with a preventive maintenance approach with the ISMO Method. The results of the research carried out based on the type of work performed inspection (I) and small repair (S) obtained results respectively for gearbox 13 times inspections (I), and 21 times small repairs (S), while for the chain of transportation of Ore 8 times inspection and four times small reparations, and the number of workers involved 21 people, with the total labor costs of Rp—863,820 million per year.

Abstract

The existing Gandhes tempeh chips packaging is not air- and water-tight so it is at risk of damage such as not crispy, easily destroyed, and rancid odor. These packaging problems require packaging development in order to improve the function of the packaging. The purpose of this study is to determine packaging attributes based on consumer preferences to increase the value of Ghandes tempeh chips packaging based on the highest value. Improvement is done by integrating Quality Function Deployment and Value engineering techniques with the help of House of Quality, FAST diagram, and concept combination table. Quality Function Deployment method to identify customer needs by finding weights and technical responses, while Value engineering to analyze packaging functions needed by consumers and recommend the best packaging based on the highest value. The results are 10 attributes that become consumer needs (whats) and 12 technical responses (hows). The results showed 4 alternative packaging concepts that can be made and sorted to determine the best concept in terms of cost and performance. The selected alternative concept is Alternative C with a score of 1.78. The selected packaging specifications include 100 micron metalized paper material, information label, matte finishing, standing pouch, size 17×29 cm, weight 200 grams, ziplock packaging, price per package Rp 2,850, using a combination of red and orange colors. It can be concluded that this proposal is the best proposal in terms of the highest value. This recommendation can be considered capable of fulfilling consumer desires for Gandhes tempeh chips packaging.

Abstract

An integral aspect of anticancer experimentation involves delineating the optimal dosage of the test compound to ascertain its efficacy in targeting malignant cells. Numerous variables may influence a compound's cytotoxicity, among which is the choice of cell culture medium. Within in vitro settings, supplementary mediums are employed to foster cellular proliferation. Platelet lysate (PL) serves as a growth supplement, presenting an alternative to fetal bovine serum (FBS), primarily due to its incorporation of growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a component absents in FBS. The integrity of PL may be subject to various factors, including the age of the donor. This study sought to evaluate the impact of donor age on PL quality. Furthermore, it aimed to discern whether PL derived from platelet concentrate (PC) blood components of different age cohorts influences the IC50 value in anticancer compound assessment. Expired PCs were utilized, subsequently classified into age categories: ≤30 years, >30 years, and a combination of ages. PL analysis encompassed parameters such as pH, blood profile, protein, glucose, and cholesterol levels. The investigation scrutinized the influence of PL quality, as a cellular growth supplement, on the anticancer compound cisplatin's activity against HeLa cells. Findings indicate that donor age influenced the IC50 value of cisplatin on HeLa cells. Notably, elevated cholesterol levels and decreased pH in PL from donor ages >30 years were associated with reduced cisplatin toxicity.Keywords: Cisplatin, Donor Age, HeLa, IC50, Platelet Lysate.
