Abstract

Abstract : This is a classroom action research. This research is an attempt to improve student learning activities in chemistry on class X SMAN 4 Pekanbaru by using active learning lucky wheel strategy. Student learning activity which is repaired the activity of asking questions, submit answers or opinions, working on LKS, group discussion and enthusiastic about the game of lucky wheel. This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings that went through four stages of implementation: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection technique use observation and test. The result of action showed that learning activity percentage of student improved and reached the success criteria. The learning activity of student percentage in first cycle is 59,66% with enough category and the second cycle of 75,88% with good category. Percentage of learning outcomes is also seen from mastery learning that enhances and have achieved success criteria. The percentage of mastery learning students in the first cycle reached 75,67%, which has not reached the criteria of success, while in the second cycle students learning completeness percentage of 83,78% has achieved succes criteria. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded the using of active learning lucky wheel strategy can improve the activity and student learning outcomes.Key Word: Learning active strategy of lucky wheel, activities, mastery learning

Abstract

Abstract: This Research aims to develop Student Worksheet Based on Problem Based Learning in Hydrocarbon of Chemistry in Senior High School Subject in terms of valid based on the feasibility aspect of content, language, serve and graphic. This type of research is research and development (R and D) with reference to the development process of 4-D model. The subject of this research is student worksheet based on problem based learning. Instrument of data collection are validation and data collection technique given by three validators. Analysis of data obtained by the validity of aspect of content is 92.5% with valid category, the validity of aspect of language is 95% with valid category, the validity of aspect of serve is 90% with valid category and validity of aspect of graphic is 93.75% with valid category. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that student worksheet based on problem based learning declared valid and can be used in Senior High School.Key Words: Hydrocarbon, Problem Based Learning, Student Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: The research of development of learning media based on AutoplayMedia Studio 8.5 is aimed to study the valid and practical learning media on the subjectof chemical bond. This research method is research development (Research andDevelopment, R & D) with 4-D development model covering define phase, Design,Develop and Disseminate. Instrument of data collection used through validation sheetand respondent questionnaire. Data analysis technique is by calculating the percentagescore of validation and user response. The results showed that the media based onAutoplay Media Studio 8.5 developed developed valid criteria of visual communication,instructional design, content, and ease of use with 93.98% score. Learning media alsomeet the practical criteria, which teachers and learners can use it in chemistry learningwith a score of 96.67% and 92%.Key Words : Learning Media, Autoplay Media Studio 8.5, Chemical Bond

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to increase students achievement implementation of peer led guided inquiry (PLGI) on subject equilibrium solubility in XI MIA SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. Subject of this research are XI MIA 4 as the experimental class, XI MIA 5 as the control class which were determined randomly after conducting normality and homogeneity test. The experimental group was treated with implementation of peer led guided inquiry (PLGI) while the control group without implementation of peer led guided inquiry (PLGI). The data analysis to test the hypothesis was using t-test right side. Based on the data analysis, it is obtaine tcount = 4,99 and ttable = 1,67 with α=0,05, dk = 57, tcount > ttable is 4,99 > 1,67, It’s mean implementation of peer led guided inquiry (PLGI) can improve students achievement on the subject equilibrium solibility in XI MIA SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. The influence implementation learning model peer led guided inquiry (PLGI) to improvement of the student achievement as high as 30,4%.Keywords: Peer Led Guided Inquiry (PLGI), Learning Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to increase students learning achievement by implementation of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) strategy on the equilibrium solubility subject in class XI MIA MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. The type of research is quasy experimental with Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Population consist of 3 class has been tested normality and homogenity using prerequisite data, 2 random samples were selected, XI MIA 1 as experiment class and XI MIA 2 as control class. The experiment class was applied with contextual teaching and learning strategy, while control class without contextual teaching and learning strategy. Instrument in this research is a question of solubility equilibrium that has been test validation and reliability. Results showed instrument is valid and reliable. Data analysis technique is descriptive and inferensy analysis. Hypothesis using Mann Whitney test with significance level (α=0,05), based on the analysis and processing of data obtainable zcount>ztable is 2,27>1,64, its mean implementation of contextual teaching and learning strategy can increase students learning achievement on the on the equilibrium solubility subject in class XI MIA MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru.Key words : equilibrium solubility, learning achievement, contextual teaching and learning strategy

Abstract

The study aims to develop POE-based learning resources in the form of modules for senior high school chemistry on the solution colligative properties subject. The research method used is development research. Development research used 4-D model which are carried out in four stage: Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. In the research only on the stage of development. The developed POE-based learning source prototype was validated by 4 validators, 2 people as experts and 2 people as users. The research data was obtained through a validation sheet filled by the validator. The results of the assessment of the four validators in each aspect assessed by the category are very good.The conclusion shows that the POE-based modules produced for senior high school chemistry learning on solution colligative properties are valid in terms of content and construction.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to develop constructivism-based modules on periodic systems pf elements that are valid and practical . This development research uses a 4-D model that has 4 stages, namely, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. To produce a valid module, the module validity test is carried out which includes four aspects of assessment, namely the characteristics of the module, aspects of quality elements, linguistic aspects and aspects of presentation. To see the practicality of the module a limited test was conducted at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru and SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The results of the study that have been validated by 3 validators state that the percentage is 91.06%. The results of the test questionnaire were limited to 30 students, 90.54% and the results of the responses from 2 chemistry teachers were 90.38%. Based on the results of limited validation and testing, constructivism-based modules on periodic system material elements are declared valid and practical.Keywords: Module, Constructivism, Periodic System of Elements

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a student worksheet based on problem based learning on reduction and oxidation reaction subject in the Chemistry Education Study Program. The result of this research and development is student worksheet product which can be used by students in the process of learning. The method used in this research consists of 4 development stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate or adapted into 4-P Method, which is pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan, dan penyebaran. The development model is modified by the researchers only until the development stage. Recapitulation of the average score of the assessment of the four aspects of student worksheet by the validator team, content, language, presentation, and successive graphics have 89.16%, 91.67%, 90%, and 89.56%. Thus, the overall average score of student worksheet validation the oxidation-based reduction reaction based on Problem Based Learning is 89.59%. Based on the eligibility criteria of learning tools in Riduwan (2012), the criteria of 89.59% analysis included in valid category.Keywords : Student worksheet, Problem Based Learning, Reduction and Oxidation Reaction.

Abstract

Abstract: The research subjects of science chemistry teaching of SMP / MTs are based on curriculum 2013. The object of this research is the science syllabus of SMP / MTs curriculum 2013. The research method used is descriptive, qualitative. This research uses Philip Mayring's analysis model starting from the research question stage, category determination or analysis center, step by step formulation of main category to sub category, revision of result of analysis (validation) and interpretation of result. The data collection instrument is a validation questionnaire given to 3 (three) validators, 2 lecturers of FKIP UR chemistry and 1 teacher of Raudatussalam Rambah School. Research shows that the results of the validation of the results of the analysis sheet amounted to 84.75% and are in a valid category. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the subject matter of SMP / MTs chemistry is valid or in accordance with the curriculum 2013.Keywords: Analysis of teaching materials, Philip Mayring analysis model, Curriculum 2013, subject matter of SMP / MTs

Abstract

Abstract: The research about the process of oriented guided inquiry learning strategy has been conducted in SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The purpose of this research is to improve the student achievement on the topic equilibrium solubility in class X1 SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The type of this research is experimental research with experiment design randomized control group pretest-posttest. Sample of the research consisted of two classes, a class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class (implemented the process of oriented guided inquiry learning strategy) and class XI IPA 2 as the control class (without the process of oriented guided inquiry learning strategy). T-test was used as analysis technique. Based on the data analysis obtained t > t table i.e 2,40 > 1.67, meaning that the application of the process of oriented guided inquiry learning strategy can improve the student achievement on the subject equilibrium solubility in class X1 SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The influence of POGIL strategy to improvement of the student achievement (Logistic Regression test) as high as 10,9%.Keywords: Student Achievement, The Process Of Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning Strategy,Equilibrium Solubility.
