Abstract

Abstract: The learning activeness of students in class XI Science SMA IT AlFityah is low, low activeness causes low learning achievement of students. This research aims to determine the application of the Discovery Learning learning model to students in class XI Science at SMA IT Al-Fityah which aims to improve and find solutions to real problems in improving students' learning achievements. This research has cycles, each cycle consists of 4 stages of activities that are interrelated and continuous, namely; planning, implementation (acting), observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). The research results of the discovery learning model show that students' learning completeness before action and after action is; cycle I (70.37%), and cycle II (92.59%). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant change in increasing learning outcomes between before and after being given classroom action by applying the discovery learning learning model to students in class XI Science at SMA IT Al-Fityah so that this research is considered to have been successful. Key Words: Activities, Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning, Quality of Education.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan keterlibatan siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan melatih guru di Kecamatan Tualang, Kabupaten Siak, dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Pear Deck. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 20 Oktober 2023, diikuti oleh 17 guru dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Metode pelatihan meliputi penyampaian materi, demonstrasi penggunaan aplikasi, pendampingan praktik langsung, dan evaluasi dengan angket kepuasan. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang teknologi pembelajaran, memotivasi mereka untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses belajar, dan membantu menciptakan perangkat pembelajaran yang interaktif.

Abstract

The problem that is often experienced in learning chemical bonds topics is that students do not know the benefits of learning chemical bonds in everyday life, one of the causes is because the teaching materials used have not been able to link the material with contextual examples, real problems in everyday life, and the lack of opportunities for students to conduct investigations, making the learning less meaningful. This research aims to produce valid student worksheets based on the Nature of Science (NoS) on chemical bonds topics and determine user response. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) using the 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The data collection instruments were validation sheets and user response questionnaires for teachers and students. The data analysis method in this research was carried out quantitative and qualitative data description. The results indicated that the developed student worksheets based on the Nature of Science (NoS) were deemed valid, with an average validation score of 96.12% from 3 validators. One-on-one trials were conducted with 3 students with different abilities to gather feedback for improvements. The user response test was conducted to 2 chemistry teachers and 20 students (10 students from SMAN 4 Pekanbaru and 10 students from SMAN 1 Pekanbaru), yielding response percentages of 90.06% from teachers and 90.84% from students, both categorized as very good. So, it can be said that these student worksheets have good potential to be used in learning chemistry, especially on topics related to chemical bonds.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor penyebab belum diterapkan penilaian berbasis kelas di sekolah-sekolah dewasa ini karena guru kimia mengalami kesulitan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan penilaian sesuai dengan yang diinginkan kurikulum. Untuk memecahkan masalah ini, maka dilakukan penelitian untuk mengembangkan perangkat penilaian berbasis yang valid, praktikal dan efektif untuk pembelajaran kimia SMA pokok bahasan stoikiometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah development research. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahun dan terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu analisis muka belakang, prototipe, dan implementasi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan siswa, guru, pakar pendidikan kimia, analisis hasil kerja siswa, dan tes. Hasil penelitian tahun pertama menunjukkan bahwa perangkat penilaian berbasis kelas yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dari segi isi dan konstruksi. Ujicoba dilakukan pada tahun kedua penelitian di SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, SMA Babussalam, dan SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Hasil ujicoba juga memenuhi kriteria praktis, yang mana guru dan siswa dapat menggunakan perangkat penilaian berbasis kelas dalam pembelajaran kimia, tanpa kendala berarti.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis Scaffolding menggunakan Liveworksheet pada materi kesetimbangan ion dan pH larutan garam di kelas XI SMA/MA yang valid sesuai dengan aspekkelayakan isi, karakteristik Scaffolding, kebahasaan, penyajian, tampilan (desain komunikasi visual) dan pemanfaatan software. Penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4Dmerupakan jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan E- LKPD ini. Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi yang diberikan kepada 3 orang validator (2 validator ahli materi dan 1 orang validator ahli media), lembar respons pengguna kepada 2orang guru mata pelajaran kimia dan 20 orang peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh skor persentase rata-rata penilaian validator ahli materi dan ahli media sebesar 90,54% dan 96,87% dengan kategori valid. Hasil uji coba kepada guru dan peserta didik masing-masing diperolehskor persentase rata-rata sebesar 95% dan 95,75% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis Scaffolding menggunakan Liveworksheet pada materi kesetimbangan ion dan pH larutan garam dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning activities and critical thinking skills of students by implementing the discovery learning model. This type of research is classroom action research. Data collection was carried out in January 2025. The sample in this study were 36 students of class XI 1 SMAN 6 Pekanbaru. The instruments used were observation sheets of student and teacher activities, evaluation questions and test questions at the end of each cycle based on critical thinking indicators. The results of the study showed that student learning activities increased from cycle I by 56.94%, including the sufficient category, and in cycle II by 71.48%, including the good category, and critical thinking skills increased from cycle I by 55.56% to 94.44% in cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a P5 module for making charcoal briquettes from leaf waste as an alternative fuel that is valid according to the aspects of content feasibility, language, presentation, graphics and appearance. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model. The data collection instrument used was a validation sheet given to 3 validators, a user response sheet to 2 teachers and 20 students. The results of the study obtained an average percentage score of the assessment of material expert and media expert validators of 96.35% and 95.83% with a valid category. The results of the trial to 2 teachers and students obtained an average percentage score of 93.23% and 93.08% with a very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Pancasila student profile strengthening project module (P5) for making charcoal briquettes from leaf waste can be used in P5 activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument based on the six facets of understanding within the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework, specifically for thermochemistry material. The research adopted the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study was conducted from February to May 2025 at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau, with field testing carried out at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru and SMA Negeri Plus Provinsi Riau. Data were collected through expert validation, one-on-one trials, small group trials, and item characteristic analysis. Expert validation results indicated that the developed instrument is valid in terms of content, construct, and language, with average percentage scores of 100%, 96.63%, and 100%, respectively. Student responses to the instrument fell into the “very good” category, with an average score percentage of 91.08%. Teacher responses also indicated a “very good” category, with an average score percentage of 95.83%. The item analysis revealed that the instrument has strong construct validity, high reliability, and appropriate levels of difficulty and discrimination. Therefore, this assessment instrument is deemed suitable for measuring students’ understanding in alignment with the learning objectives outlined in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of chemistry laboratory literacy levels by developing an e-EncyLab using 3D Pageflip Professional. This study employs a quantitative research methodology. The participants were 10th-grade students. Data was collected using a set of 12 essay questions designed to assess chemistry laboratory literacy, available in the e-EncyLab. Increasing laboratory literacy level abilities can be determined using the N-gain test. The results of this research showed an increase in N-Gain of 0.68 in the medium category. The effect of using e-EncyLab in increasing chemistry laboratory literacy is shown by the results of the paired sample test, which shows sig 0.000 < sig 0.05, which means there is a significant difference in the level of chemistry laboratory literacy of students in the control class and the experimental class that uses e-EncyLab. The use of e-EncyLab is effective in increasing students' chemistry laboratory literacy.
