Abstract

Abstract : The research about use of media monopoly game has been applied to improve students learning result on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. Form of research is experiment research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of three classes, that is X1, X2, and X3. The sample used, that is X2 as experiment class and X1 as control class that randomly determined after testing normality and homogeneity. Experiment class was given treatment with using media monopoly game while the control class without use media monopoly game. Analysis of data used t-test. Results of the analysis it was found that tscore > ttable (3,06 > 1,67), it means that the use of media monopoly game can improve students learning result on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of students learning achievement in experiment class was high category (N-gain =0,75) and in control class was medium category (N-gain =0,69).Key Words : Media Monopoly Game, Learning Result, Hydrocarbon

Abstract

Abstract : This Research aims to develop Student Activities Worksheets Based on Constructivism on the Thermochemical subject valid based on the feasibility aspect of content, language, serve and graphic. The type of this research is research and development (R and D) with reference to the development process of 4-D model. The subject of this research is student activities worksheets based on constructivism. Instrument of data collection are validation given to four validators, and from analysis data obtained by the validity of aspect of content, aspect of language, aspect of serve, and aspect of graphic are 96,43%, 97,50%, 96,88%, dan 98,44% with valid category. LKPD which validated by the validators tested to 30 students and get response result with percentage of 86,33% with positive category. Based on the result of data analysis can be concluded that student activities worksheets based on constructivism that produced is valid and can be used for the thermochemical subject for SMA/MA.Keywords: Thermochemical, Constructivism, Student Activities Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: Research development of chemical-based learning media Autoplay Media Studio 8 is intended to produce a decent learning media on the subject of the atomic structure is developed based on the feasibility aspect of the display media, programming, content, presentation material content and language in Chemical Education Program. Beside that, it also to know the response of chemistry teachers and learners to media-based learning Autoplay Media Studio 8 has been developed on the subject of atomic structure. This media development research using ADDIE model of which has 5 stages of development, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Results of research-based instructional media development AutoPlay Media Studio 8 on the subject of atomic structures that have been validated by a validator to be feasible with an average percentage of 96.38%. Response chemistry teachers and learners expressed either by the average percentage of 98.2% for chemistry teachers and 91.89% for the learners. This indicates that the learning generated media fit for use as a medium of learning.Key Words : Learning media, Autoplay Media Studio 8, Atomic Structure

Abstract

Abstract: The research subjects of science chemistry teaching of SMP / MTs are based on curriculum 2013. The object of this research is the science syllabus of SMP / MTs curriculum 2013. The research method used is descriptive, qualitative. This research uses Philip Mayring's analysis model starting from the research question stage, category determination or analysis center, step by step formulation of main category to sub category, revision of result of analysis (validation) and interpretation of result. The data collection instrument is a validation questionnaire given to 3 (three) validators, 2 lecturers of FKIP UR chemistry and 1 teacher of Raudatussalam Rambah School. Research shows that the results of the validation of the results of the analysis sheet amounted to 84.75% and are in a valid category. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the subject matter of SMP / MTs chemistry is valid or in accordance with the curriculum 2013.Keywords: Analysis of teaching materials, Philip Mayring analysis model, Curriculum 2013, subject matter of SMP / MTs

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop instructionalmedia assisted by computer which is valid, practical, and effective toinstructional high school chemistry at Atomic Structure and ChemicalBonding subject. The method of this research is developmentresearch. The research is held for two years and consist of 4 stages,define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research in the firstyear is as far as the development stage. Research data were collectedthrough assessment form filled by the validator. The result showedthat instructional media assisted by computer which is developed forhigh school chemistry lesson at Atomic Structure and ChemicalBonding subject meeting the valid criteria in terms of content andconstruction.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop the student?s worksheets based on the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model in the subject of Equilibrium Ion and pH of Buffer Solution. The type of research was Research and Development method with the 4-D development model which includes Define, Design, Develop, Dissemminate. The research was only carried out at the Develop step, which was a limited trial section. The study was conducted at the FKIP of the Riau University. The object of the research was the student?s worksheets based on the CORE learning model. The data analysis technique used in the study was descriptive statistical analysis by calculating the percentage of validation?s score. The average validation results of student?s worksheet by 3 lecturers as the expert were 88.99% with the valid category and had fulfilled the aspects of content eligibility, the characteristics of the CORE Learning Model in the subject of Equilibrium Ion and pH of Buffer Solution, language, presentation and graphics. The results of the assessment of the limited trial student?s worksheet by 2 teachers as validator users and 11 students as users obtained percentage of 94.64% and 86.85% which were on positive criteria.Key Words: Student?s Woorksheet, CORE learning models, Equilibrium Ion and pH of Buffer Solution

Abstract

One of the causes that classroom-based assessment has not been applied in Senior High School nowadays because most of chemistry teachers have difficulties to develop the desired assessment as needed at the educational unit level curriculum. To solve this problem, a research was done to develop classroom-based assessment tool that is valid, practical, and effective for chemistry learning material in stoichiometry on Senior High School. The research method used was a development research. Research activities were conducted three years consisting of three stages, namely front-back analysis,prototyping, and implementation. Date were collected throught classroom observations, interviews with students, teachers, chemistry education expert,student work analysis, and achievement test. The result of first year showed that classroom-based assessment tool developed showed the validity criteria in term of its content and construction. The implementation conducted in the second year in SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, SMA Babussalam, and SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. The implementation result also showed the practical criteria, meaning that students and teachers can use it without significant constaint.

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to know student’s perception about preparation and implementation of lectures Mathematics and Science Teacher Education Featured at Chemistry Department of Education Faculty Riau University. The research carried out on students of Chemistry Department, the population was all students who follow the Mathematics and Science Teacher Education Featured program, and have followed courses presented for the program. The whole population was used as a sample (total sample), amounting to 60 students, consisting of a student of 2011/2012, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 classes (18, 20 and 22 students). Data have been collected using a questionnaire, and then analyzed descriptively, begins with a questionnaire scoring in stages, specify the interval value to obtain a value category, and specify the percentage. The results showed that 81, 66% of students had a good understanding of the program that followed, 16.67% adequate, and 1.67% less understood. 86.67% of students felt that the program was beneficial, 8:33% felt pretty, and 5% of students felt less useful. In terms of feasibility program, 73.34% of students stated good, 15% said enough, and 11.66% said less well, while from the commitment and ability of lecturers 53.35% of the students stated well, 35% fairly categories, and 11, 67% said less.

Abstract

The development of interactive learning media based on Autoplay Media Studio 8.5 is aimed to get valid interactive learning from the terms of content substance, display (visual comunication), instructional design and courseware utilization. The research method was used four-D models which consist of four stages, those are define, design, develop and desseminate. The research is up to the development stage. The data collected technique used validation sheet, questionnaire responses of students and teacher. The result showed an average score of content substance aspects, display (visual comunication) aspects, instructional design aspect and courseware utilization aspects was 91,4%. Learning media also fulfill the practical criteria based on the responses of students and teacher with a score 95,5% and 77,5%. The conclusion show the learning media based on Autoplay Media Studio 8.5 valid and can be use in learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to develop e-book based teaching materials for senior high school chemistry lesson at the subject of atomic structure. The research method used is research development. The research used Four D Model as a guide which is implemented in four stages are define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research is only up to the development stage. Research data were collected through assessment form filled by 4 validators, 2 material professional and 2 media professional. The result showed of the assessment provided by validators each aspect considered was a very good category. The conclusion shows develop e-book based teaching materials for senior high school chemistry lesson at the subject of atomic structure have the valid criteria in terms of content and construction.
