Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis avifauna apa saja yang terdapat dibeberapa RTH (Ruang Terbuka Hijau) Kota Gorontalo dan untuk mendeskripsikan vegetasi yang menjadi habitat Avifauna di RTH (Ruang Terbuka Hijau) Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode jelajah (survey). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode titik hitung (Point Count) yaitu mencatat jumlah spesies yang teramati dan metode Rapid Assement  untuk mendapatkan gambaran umum tipe vegetasi. Pengamatan dilaksanakan pada tujuh RTH (Ruang Terbuka Hijau) Kota Gorontalo meliputi RTH Kota Tengah, Taman Kota Kota Selatan, Taman Smart Gelanggang, Taman Moodu, Kampus 1 Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Kampus 2 Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dan Kampus 3 Fakultas Olahraga dan Kesehatan (FOK) Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pengamatan dimulai pada Bulan Agustus-September 2020 dan dilakukan pada pagi hari pukul 06:00 10:00 WITA, pada siang hari pukul 11:00-13:00 dan Pada sore hari pukul 16:00-17:30 WITA. Data yang diperoleh diidentifkasi dengan menggunakan buku panduan lapangan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan pada tujuh Ruang Terbuka Hijau Kota (RTH) Kota Gorontalo diperoleh jumlah sebanyak 2.299 ekor yang teridiri dari 5 ordo. 23 spesies diantaranya merupakan burung penetap dan 1diantaranya adalah Gelatik Jawa (Pedda oryzivora) yang merupakan spesies diintroduksi dari Pulau Jawa dan Nusa Tenggara. Komposisi vegetasi di lokasi penelitian yang paling banyak ditemukan dan menjadi habitat serta tempat menacri makan avifauna terdapat 13 spesies tumbuhan yang terdiri dari tumbuhan berkayu seperti pohon Cemara (Casuarina equisetifolia), Pinus (Pinus sylvestris), Jati (Tectona grandis), Mangga (Mangifera indica) dan Beringan (Ficus ben).

Abstract

Olele  Village  is  a  village  with  quite  high  tourism  potential,  one  of  which  is  medicinal  plants  which  are  quite  high  and  varied.  This  study  aims  to  identify  species  of  medicinal  plants  in  this  village  and  identify  their  potential  as  ecotourism  support.  The  research  was  conducted  using  an  in-depth  interview  technique  with  a  qualitative  type.  The  data  obtained  will  then  be  documented  and  identified  using  the  book  and  the  Plant-Net  application.  The  results  showed  that  17  species  of  medicinal  plants  were  identified  from  the  results  of  interviews,  then  validation  was  carried  out  on  tourists  who  were  in  the  village  to  find  out  the  personal  interests  of  each  tourist. The development of tourist areas has also been responded positively by the community and local government

Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in nature are increasing along with the development of human civilization. Mangrove forests can absorb and store carbon in large quantities and a long time so that it can become a strategy in mitigating climate change. This study aims to determine the Carbon Absorption Value of Above Surface Bruguiera gymnorrhiza in the Dulupi Coastal Mangrove Area, Boalemo Regency. This research is a quantitative descriptive study by measuring the density of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza mangrove vegetation using the distance method (Point-Centered-Quarter-Method). The density value of the mangrove species Bruguiera gymnorrhiza found in the coastal area of ​​Dulupi Village, Boalemo Regency is 12.49 trees/ha with an average distance of 11,231 m/tree. The calculation results of the total stem biomass value obtained from the sum of each individual Bruguiera gymnorrhiza mangrove biomass obtained a value of 12,251.37 Kg. The carbon absorption content in the leaves of the mangrove species Bruguiera gymnorrhiza in the coastal area of ​​Dulupi Village, Boalemo Regency, from all sample trees was 449.26 kg C/cm2 with an average carbon content of each sample tree's leaves of 17.97 kg C/cm2. So that the total carbon absorption potential of the stems and leaves of the Brugueira gymnorrizha mangrove species is 12,700.63 kg C/cm2.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the increase in student’s ecoliteracy skills through the implementation of stop motion graphic animation video as the learning media on the subject matter of environmental change. In conducting the study, it used the Pre-experiment method in the form of a quasi-experiment, one group pretest-posttest. The results of this study showed that, there was a significant increase in students’ ecoliteracy skills obtained in pretest by students before implementing the stop motion graphic animation media as 71.2. Meanwhile, the implementationof it showed an increase as the result of the posttestobtained an increased average value of 90.1. The use of stop motion graphic animation was applicable to be used as one of the learning media in biology. This was because it fostered students’ interest in the learning process. Therefore, based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the stop motion graphic animation video can be used to improve students’ ecoliteracy skills significantly

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers is still a problem in Indonesia. Kalimas Village is one of the stunting village loci with a prevalence rate of 14.7 percent in Pohuwato District. Low community knowledge related to stunting and variations in complementary foods for children is one of the triggers for the high stunting rate in this village. Therefore, it is necessary to increase understanding related to handling stunting and its prevention. One strategy to increase understanding is to provide learning contents to improve stunting literacy through the development of a website that contains comprehensive stunting education articles and videos. In addition, educational videos on processing local food into additional food that has nutritional value for stunted children are also provided. With this educational website, the village can also publicize the potential of the village so that it can develop the existing village potential.

Abstract

Stunting adalah masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang mengkhawatirkan dan menjadi perhatian banyak negara termasuk Indonesia. Dalam hal ini, desa Persatuan Kecamatan Popayato Barat Kabupaten Pohuwato mengalami tingginya tingkat stunting. Program ini bertujuan sebagai sebuah bentuk solusi alternatif dalam mengatasi stunting dan mengoptimalkan kemampuan masyarakat  dalam mengolahan sumber daya pangan lokal menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai gizi yang memenuhi syarat. Metode pelaksanaan dalam program ini dalam bentuk focus group discusion (FGD) antara tim dosen dan mahasiswa KKN dengan pihak mitra dalam hal ini pemerintah Kabupaten, pemerintah Kecamatan Desa, pelatihan bagi perangkat dan aparat desa, kader kesehatan dan masyarakat, pelatihan dan pendampingan praktek pengolahan pangan lokal sebagai bahan pangan untuk mengatasi stunting, sosialisasi tentang pangan lokal sebagai bahan pangan untuk mengatasi stunting, serta penguatan kelembagaan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 6 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari berasal dari beberapa program studi yang ada di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pelaksanaan program melibatkan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) yang direkognisi ke dalam 20 SKS. Kegiatan MBKM yang dapat dilakukan yaitu Proyek Desa, KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) MBKM Peduli Stunting dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat. Mahasiswa yang terlibat dalam Proyek Desa dan KKN MBKM Peduli Stunting yaitu sebanyak 6 mahasiswa. Hasil program yang dicapai yakni telah terlaksananya bentuk strategi pencegahan stunting melalui pemeberian produk pagan berbasis lokal, produk yang diberikan adalah olahan fermentasi dari jagung pulut dan bakso kerang darah serta talur puyuh, selain itu dalam proses pencegahan stunting mahasiswa KKN telah melaksanakan pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan kegiatan pelatihan olehan produk lokal yang mengandung protein dan zink yang dapat mencegah stunting. Adanya sebuah bentuk strategi dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan pangan lokal yang berbasis masyarakat dalam Membantu program pemerintah kabupaten Pohuwato dan pemerintah provinsi Gorontalo dalam rangka pencegahan stunting di Desa Pesrstuan Kecamatan Poayato Barat Kabupaten Pohuwato

This research was calssifed as a Research and Development (R&D) that aimed to detemine the validity, practicality, and effectivenes of developing problem-based learning module to improve students’ learning outcomes. The samples consisted of 20 students in class X of SMA Negeri 7 PrasetyaGorontalo. This research was conducted to create module tahtreffered to the ADDIE model (Analysisi, Design, Development, Impelemntation, and Evaluation), but it was only limited to the development stage, namely the limited trial develpment stage. The instruments used were interview, validation sheet, and student response questionnaire, implementation of learning (teacher activity), student activity, and pre-test dan post-test. Teh result of module validation analysis with here validators obtained an average score of 85% (very valid). Meanwhile, the result of practicality analysis was observable from the teacher activity which obtained an average score of 93.3% (very good), the student activity in the small group trial obtained an average score of 90% (very good), and the student responses obtained an average score 88% (very feasible). In the meantime, the result of effectiveness analysis were observable from the result of N-Gain analysis in small group trial which obtained an average score of 0.62% (fairly effective). To conclude, the development of problem-based module on enviromental pollution topic intending to improve the students’ learning outcomes had met the valid and practical criteria but has not been effetive due to it only reached a limited trial. However, the module was feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

Karst ecosystem is one type of extreme marginal soil with low chemical, physical and biological fertility. Karst soil is characterized by high calcium (Ca) content, which can affect the availability of essential elements for plants. Actinomycetes are the pioneers of phosphor-poor soil and are distributed on various types of soil, including Karst soil. Distribution, abundance, and diversity of actinomycetes on plant rhizosphere are strongly influenced by soil physicochemical characteristics. The objective of this study was to obtain the actinomycetes and to determine the abundance and distribution in the rhizosphere of various types of plants in the karst ecosystems of Gorontalo. The soil sampling was conducted on the plant's rhizosphere on Bilato, Karang Putih, and Biluhu Karst Hill of Gorontalo based on the purposive sampling method. The physicochemical analysis included humidity, temperature, and soil acidity. The results showed that actinomycetes were found on various plant rhizospheres with an abundance of about 3x102 to 1x104 CFUmL-1. There were five actinomycetes isolated successfully on the plant rhizosphere.The AB-01 isolate was specifically found on Ficus sp. and Scizium sp, the ABT-01 isolates were just distributed on Plumeria abusta, Leucaena leocepala, and Monrngaceae, whereas AKP-01, AKP-02, and AB- 02 were distributed on almost of plant rhizosphere.

Abstract

Higher education institution is one of educational institutions that serve as a place of cultural values, and norms expected to become a foundation to foster caring attitudes toward the environment. These attitudes are accordingly meant to develop ecological literacy in order to overcome environmental problems which are likely to be minimized by combining ecological literacy and creative thinking skills. A quantitative descriptive with correlational study was employed in this research. There were 275 college students from three areas in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Sumatera, and Gorontalo involved as respondents of the research. Data was collected by means of Google Forms consisting of tests and opinions. The ecological literacy was analyzed using dimensions of caring, practical competence, and knowledge while the creative thinking skills were analyzed using dimensions of fluency, originality, flexibility, and elaboration. This research is limited to students in the Department of Science and Non-Science. Findings of the research indicates that the ecological literacy level is in the medium category, whereas the creative thinking skills are good. Female students have a higher average score in ecological literacy and creative thinking skills compared to that of male students. Thus, there is a positive relationship between ecological literacy and creative thinking skills.
