Abstract

This research aims to develop media of comic mathematics with realistic mathematics education Indonesia approach on social arithmetics for seventh-grade junior high school. This developmental research develops a comic of mathematics using the development model from Borg and Gall with five stages. The five stages are (1) Need analysis for teacher dan students; (2) planning and developing the product; (3) the validation from material and language experts and media experts; (4) small group test; (5) significant group test. The data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The feasibility of the product was assessed by processing data from a questionnaire based on the validation results of media experts, validation of material and language experts, teachers, and students not only in a small group test but also in a significant group test. The result of this research is a comic of mathematics with a realistic mathematics education approach to social arithmetics. Based on this research, the percentage of the product feasibility was 86,40%, categorized as very feasible. Based on data, it can be implied that the media of comic mathematics with a realistic mathematics education approach to social arithmetics is feasible to use. Abstract

Matematika dan filsafat merupakan dua cabang ilmu yang memang berhubungan dan berpengaruh satu sama lain. Ini karena matematika dan filsafat merupakan pondasi dari semua cabang ilmu pengetahuan. Dalam penerapannya matematika membutuhkan aliran yang mendukung terlaksananya suatu pembelajaran matematika. Konstruktivisme sebagai langkah membangun dan mengkonstruksi seluruh unsur ilmu yang berkaitan untuk menemukan suatu konsep baru. Pemikiran awal atau wawasan yang muncul melalui proses konstruksi dan desain adalah aktivitas yang tahan lama, mudah diingat, dan berbasis pengalaman. Dari sudut pandang sejarah, hubungan antara matematika dan filsafat telah berkembang sangat kuat. Sehingga muncullah pertanyaan mengenai " Apakah filsafat mempengaruhi perkembangan matematika ?". Bagiamana penerapan matematika dalam aliran konstruktivisme dalam filsafat matematika itu sendiri ?". Oleh sebab itu, dalam artikel ini memuat tentang aliran konstruktivisme yang mendukung penerapan matematika yang terkandung dalam filsafat matematika.

Abstract

We don't know what will happen tomorrow. Yesterday is a memory, today is a reality and tomorrow is a hope. Who would have thought that the corona virus would become one of the elements forming a new life cycle not only for Indonesia but for the whole world. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) were implemented, this had an impact on the implementation of face-to-face (online) learning. Educational institutions must also change direction. Work from home. Going online is one way to stay afloat. Learners at all levels, learn online. Some are still not familiar with this method, especially those in regions or villages, so that in its implementation there are obstacles that result in the implementation of the learning process not being optimal. Those who live in cities experience different obstacles again. Learning that should be carried out face-to-face has changed to online. One of the differences that exist is seen from progress, namely those who live in cities and in villages have different difficulties. Not to mention the other variants. This article aims to find out the obstacles experienced by students during the implementation of online learning in Mathematics lessons. The approach used is a phenomenological approach. How does the exploration of phenomenology play a role in the mathematical approach. The hope is that with this approach you can get information regarding the implementation of the online learning process for learning Mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. Exploration of Mathematics Education is seen from a phenomenological attitude, which means that it starts with entering phenomena through practice. The exercises provided are designed so that participants are able to illustrate, mention, give directions and are able to associate meanings and differences. Actually someone gets something in learning more than one's intentions, it doesn't even matter whether a teacher teaches well. For this reason, a creative teaching method is needed in learning mathematics so that there is good interaction between students and teachers. Conclusion: The process of learning mathematics online was not optimal during the pandemic due to several factors that affected the smooth implementation of learning.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model Dick and Carey pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII SMP. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah pengembangan desain pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Dick and Carey dalam merancang pembelajaran yang efektif dan terstruktur, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Melalui tinjauan berbagai referensi, artikel ini menyajikan informasi tentang konsep, teori, dan praktik pengembangan desain pembelajaran dengan model Dick and Carey dalam pembelajaran matematika. Berbagai literatur yang relevan digunakan sebagai dasar untuk memahami konsep dan prinsip yang melandasi pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Hasil dari pengembangan desain pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Dick and Carey dalam pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar memiliki beberapa keuntungan. Model ini memberikan kerangka kerja yang sistematis dan terstruktur bagi guru dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Selain itu, model ini juga menekankan pada pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran yang spesifik dan evaluasi terhadap hasil pembelajaran. Artikel ini memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pentingnya pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar menggunakan model Dick and Carey. Dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek penting dalam model ini, guru dapat merancang pembelajaran yang efektif, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep bangun ruang sisi datar, dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Keberhasilan suatu pendidikan diukur dari kemampuan peserta didik bersaing di dunia kerja; mampu mengaktualisasikan ilmunya dalam dunia nyata; mempunyai skill dan dapat diterima di masyarakat. Penerapan kurikulum merdeka saat ini, mendorong guru lebih kreatif dalam menyajikan pembelajaran dan mengetahui kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik. Guru dan peserta didik bekerjasama untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang sudah dicantumkan pada tujuan instruksional. Proses pembelajaran saat ini berpusat pada peserta didik (students center learning). Guru bukanlah satu-satunya sumber ilmu, tetapi peserta didik harus mampu menemukan sendiri pengetahuannya melalui bimbingan guru. Daya saing yang semakin tinggi menuntut guru memiliki keterampilam yang beragam. Untuk itu, guru dituntut mampu memahami segala kebutuhan dan karaktersitik peserta didiknya, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan baik. Agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan baik, terdapat beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan yakni kognitif, behaviours dan kondisi peserta didik. Selain itu, yang tidak kalah pentingnya adalah implementasi model desain pembelajaram merupakan proses yang sistematis dan menyeluruh serta menjadi perhatian awal dalam perencanaan pembelajaran. Dalam perencanaan pembelajaran guru perlu memerhatikan materi yang akan diberikan pada peserta didik. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sistem pertidaksamaan linier dua variabel. Tujuan penelitian ini guru diharapkan mampu mendesain pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga peserta didik tidak merasa bosan dan kesulitan dalam melakukan aktivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Research describes the experiences of teachers and students in implementing the influence of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the Pancasila student profile at SDK PENABUR Kota Wisata. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews. The analysis of student interview results indicates that students have experiences such as: (1) Students are required to be more creative so that the projects they produce can be interesting. (2) Learning with the PjBL model demands that students not only be creative but also innovative in producing a project. (3) Strengthening the values of togetherness with friends, as project work is carried out in groups. Meanwhile, the analysis of teacher interview results provides insights such as: (1) Teachers are greatly helped in exploring students' soft skills. (2) The PjBL model guides teachers to bring students into learning experiences that are relevant to their daily lives, making the learning very meaningful for both students and teachers. (3) Differences in character among students sometimes require students and teachers to work synergistically so that each group can enjoy the learning process. (4) The diverse levels of IQ and EQ among students demand that teachers, students, and parents work together to ensure the learning process runs well.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has reached a new phase in Indonesia, necessitating the implementation of health standards across the board. One health regimen to prevent Covid 19 is blended learning, an alternative to combining indirect (online) and face-to-face (offline) learning. This research aims to give vocational students more flexibility in their education by developing a realistic mathematics education (RME) learning design for the area and volume of rotating objects. The research-and-development method was used for this work. This study focuses on high school students who are enrolled in vocational programmes. According to the findings of the need assessment and the student analysis, a random sample of participants provided the data. In order to improve education, it is indeed necessary to first assess both student demands and abilities. Discussed and modified to suit the pedagogical goals, performance targets, and learning results are analysed and compared. This research suggests that teachers learning about the surface area and volume of rotating objects would benefit from a blended learning design using the RME technique. This occurs when students are able to apply what they have learned to hypothetical situations that match the RME's criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and evaluate the impact of implementing Game Based Learning (GBL) on students’ mathematical creative thinking skills and self-efficacy. The method used in this study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), conducted through a search of relevant national and international scientific articles from several databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and Jayapangus Press, with a publication range from 2020 to 2025. The search results yielded 10 primary articles that met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed based on the authors, year, journal, research method, and main findings. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of Game Based Learning has a positive effect on improving various aspects of students’ abilities, particularly in mathematical creative thinking, self-efficacy, learning motivation, problem-solving skills, and collaborative abilities. The use of digital learning media such as Kahoot!, Quizwhizzer, Gimkit, Wordwall, and Android-based games has proven effective in creating an interactive, competitive, and engaging learning environment. Most of the studies showed significant improvements with p < 0.05, indicating the high effectiveness of the GBL model in enhancing learning outcomes and student engagement.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan posttest only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII C yang terdiri atas 36 siswa dengan 21 siswa laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII E yang terdiri dari 36 siswa dengan 20 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan model jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra pada proses pembelajaran sedangkan kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan berupa penerapan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diukur menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa lima soal uraian pada materi bangun ruang yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, didapat bahwa nilai   dan  sehingga . Berdasarkan hasil uji-t maka sudah cukup bukti untuk tolak  yang berarti rata-rata kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbantuan GeoGebra berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Nilai besar pengaruh dihitung dengan Cohen’s effect size yaitu sebesar 0,9 yang termasuk pada kategori besar. Temuan ini menunjukkan efektivitas integrasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan GeoGebra dalam mendukung pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan bagi pendidik dalam mengoptimalkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika bagi siswa SMP

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide an overview of relevant literature regarding the enhancement of motivation and cognitive learning achievements among high school students in physics courses through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The research employs qualitative methods with a focus on literature review. The research process involves stages such as collecting, screening, presenting, discussing, and drawing conclusions from papers. The primary data source for this study comprises national journal articles published over the last five years (2018 to 2023). Among the identified articles, 10 out of 16 were found to align with the specified thematic focus. The application of the Discovery model in high school physics classes is executed in accordance with the referenced theoretical framework. Consequently, the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is shown to have a positive impact on increasing both motivation and cognitive learning outcomes for high school students in physics classes.
