Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the existence of hydrocarbon material difference between the mastery of concepts Cooperative Learning with NHT type and TPS type MAN Pringsewu students and (2) the average mastery of concepts which higher hydrocarbons between Cooperative Learning with NHT type and TPS type. The population in this study were all students of class X MAN Pringsewu academic year 2011/2012. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Retrieved class X. 2 as a class experiment I conducted NHT cooperative learning model type, and class X. 4 as a class II experiments conducted cooperative learning model TPS type. The research design using a design-Only Matching Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Analysis of data using normality test, homogeneity of the two variances, and differences in the two trials showed average. The results showed (1) There is a difference between students' mastery of concepts Hydrocarbons who received NHT and Cooperative Learning TPS type. (2) Average Hydrocarbon between student mastery of concepts that use Cooperative Learning TPS type higher than students who use learning NHT type. Abstract

This researchaimed to develop an animation media based onchemical representationabout buffers solution; identify the characteristics animation media developed; identify the responsesof teachers and students was developed theanimation media; andidentifythe obstaclesfaced in developing an animation media.This research used is theResearchandDevelopment method. Theresults showed that teacher response of the developed animation media in the content’s suitability aspect were 80,00%  is high criteria and in the readable and the attraction aspect were 83,84% is very high criteria.Theresults showed that students response of the developed animation media in the content’s suitability aspect were 79,72%  is high criteria and in the readable aspect were 80,31% and the attraction aspect were 80,00% all of  the students responses were very high criteria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia tentang larutan penyangga; mengidentifikasi karakteristik media animasi yang dikembangkan; mengidentifikasi tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasiyang dikembangkan; dan mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan animasi tersebut.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan guru terhadap media animasi yang dikembangkan pada aspek kesesuaian isi adalah 80,00%  dengan kriteria tinggi dan pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan desain sebesar 83,84% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Menurut tanggapan siswa pada aspek kesesuaian isi adalah 79,72% dengan kriteria tinggi, aspek keterbacaan sebesar 80,31% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 80,00 dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Kata kunci: larutan penyangga, media animasi, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe predicting and classifying skill in the colloid matery using guided inquiry models learning for high, intermediate, and low groups of student. The research subjects were students of class XI IPA5 SMA Perintis 1 Bandar Lampung. The method that applied in this research is pre-experimental with one shot case study design. Analysis done by descriptive statistic analysis. The results showed that the skill of predict in high level group 75% were excellent, and 25% were good; in the intermediate level group, 25% were excellent, and 75% were good; in the low level group, 25% were excellent, 50% were good, and 25% were enough. The skill of classify in high level group 75% were excellent, and 25% were good; in the intermediate level group 44% were excellent, 44% were good, and 12% were enough; in the low level group 25% were excellent, 50% were good, and 25% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan memprediksi dan mengelompokkan pada materi sistem koloid dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk siswa berkemampuan kognitif tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA5 SMA Perintis 1 tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Metode yang digunakan pre-eksperimental dengan desain one shot case study. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan memprediksi pada kelompok tinggi 75% sangat baik, dan 25% baik; kelompok sedang, 25% sangat baik, 75% baik; kelompok rendah, 25% sangat baik, 50% baik, dan 25% cukup. Keterampilan mengelompokkan pada kelompok tinggi 75% sangat baik, dan 25% baik; kelompok sedang 44% sangat baik, 44% baik, dan 12% cukup; kelompok rendah 25% sangat baik, 50% baik, dan 25% cukup.Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, kelompok kognitif, keterampilan memprediksi dan mengelompokkan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a matter particle textbook based on the chemistry representation and to describe the characteristics, the teachers’ responses, and the students’ responses toward the matter particle textbook based on the chemistry representation, and to know the obstacles encountered in developing a matter particle textbook based on the chemistry representation.  The research used Research and Development method.  Based on the teachers’ and students’ responses, it showed the content suitability of the textbook and curriculum is very high.  It is about 95%.  The graphic/the attractiveness aspect of the textbook is also very high about 94%, and the readable aspect of the matter particle textbook based on the chemistry representation is also very high about 93,04%.  Both students and the teachers are gave positive responses to developed Integrated Science textbook.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar partikel materi berbasis representasi kimia, serta mendeskripsikan karakteristik, tanggapan guru, respon siswa terhadap buku ajar partikel materi berbasis representasi kimia, dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang ditemui ketika mengembangkan buku ajar partikel materi berbasis representasi kimia.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan.  Dari hasil tanggapan guru dan siswa diperoleh data bahwa kesesuaian isi buku ajar dengan kurikulum sangat tinggi sebesar 95%, aspek grafika/kemenarikan buku ajar sangat tinggi sebesar 94%, dan tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar partikel materi berbasis representasi kimia ini sangat tinggi sebesar 93,04%. Siswa dan guru merespon baik buku ajar IPATerpadu yang dikembangkan.Kata kunci :buku ajar, partikel materi, representasi kimia.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning model to improve student’s flexibility thinking skills in acid-base subject matter. The population of this research was the students of class XI IPA SMA Al- Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung on academic year 2013/2014. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique and obtained class XI IPA 4 and XI IPA 5 as sample classes. This research used quasi experimental method with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The effectiveness of problem solving learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control and experiment class. The result showed that the average n-Gain of flexibility thinking skill of control class and experiment class were 0,31 and 0,54 respectively. The hypothesis testing showed that problem solving learning model was effective to improve student’s flexibility thinking skills in acid-based subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi asam-basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014. Pengambilan sampel ini dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 4 dan XI IPA 5. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent pretes-posttest control group design. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,31 dan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,54. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi asam-basa.Kata kunci: asam-basa, keterampilan berpikir luwes, model pembelajaran problem solving

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) learning model to increase problem-solving ability in hydrolyzing salt topics. The method of this research was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of XI MIA one of Senior High School in Lampung Selatan. The samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique and obtained XI MIA 1 as experiment class and XI MIA 4 as a control class. The t-test was used as a data analysis. The result showed that the average n-gain of problem-solving ability applied by the POGIL learning model was higher than the average n-gain of problem-solving ability with the conventional model. The concluded in this research was the POGIL learning model was effective to increase problem-solving ability in hydrolyzing salt topic.Keywords: hydrolyzing salt, problem-solving ability, POGIL model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi garam menghidrolisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diterapkan model pembelajaran POGIL lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata n-gain kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe effectiveness of Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model in redox reaction in improving symbolic language skill and to describe effectiveness of NHT learning model in redox reaction material in improving concept mastery.  Population in this research was all Grade X students in State Senior High School 1 Buay Bahuga in academic year 2011/2012. Samples were classroom X2 as experiment classroom and classroom X1 as control classroom. Samples were selected using purposive sampling. This reserach used quasi experiment menthod with Non Equivalent (Prestest and Posttest) Control Group Design). The effectiveness of NHT learning model was measured based on significant n-gain differences of symbolic language skill and concept mastery between NHT learning classroom and conventional learning classroom. The results showed that the average of n-gain of symbolic language skill for experiment and control clasrooms were 0.26 and 0.18 respectively, and the average n-gain of concept mastery for experiment and control classrooms were 0.29 and 0.23 respectively.  Based on hypothesis test, classroom with NHT learning model had higher symbolic language skill and concept mastery than classroom with conventional learning. This indicated that NHT learning was effective in improving symbolic language skill and concept mastery of redox reaction.Keywords: Numbered Head Together (NHT) Learning Model, symbolic language skill and concept mastery

Abstract

This research aimed to develop assessment on additive and addictive-psychotropics material that have religious content and environmental awareness; to describe the characteristics of developing assessment; to describe the teacher and student responses of the developed assessment; and to describe the problems in developing the assessment. This research method was research and development from Sugiyono (2008).  Based on teacher responses, the developed assessment has very high content’s suitability aspect (90%), very high construction aspect (82,22%), and very high language utilizing aspect (86,67%).  Based on student responses, the developed assessment has very high language utilizing aspect (86%).  Based on that responses, so canbe concluded that the developed assessment has very good criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan asesmen zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan; mendeskripsikan karakteristik asesmen yang dikembangkan; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap asesmen yang dikembangkan; dan mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan asesmen tersebut.  Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2008).  Berdasarkan tanggapan guru, asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek kesesuaian isi yang sangat tinggi yaitu 90%, aspek konstruksi yang sangat tinggi yaitu 82,22%, dan aspek penggunaan bahasa yang sangat tinggi yaitu 86,67%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan siswa, asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek penggunaan bahasa yang sangat tinggi yaitu 86%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria sangat baik.Kata kunci: asesmen, nilai ketuhanan dan cinta lingkungan,zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis material in improving the skills in giving a simple explanation and implementing acceptable concept. Samples were 32 students in classroom XI science three as experiment and 31 students in classroom XI science four as control that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design.  Data analysis used a t-test of the n-Gain significant. The results showed that average value of n-Gain of skills in giving a simple explanation in experiment and control classrooms were 0.44 and 0.12 respectively; and average value of n-Gain for implementing acceptable concepts in experiment and control classrooms were 0.42 and 0.20 respectively with tcount (2.23) ttable (1.67). The conclusion is that the guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis was effective in improving skills in giving simple explanations and implementing acceptable concepts by students.Keywords: guided inquiry, meteri salt hydrolysis ,giving a simple explanation and apply the concept of acceptable.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe grouping and inference skills of redoks material through problem solving model for student cognitive group.The subject is 30 students of X6 SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung. The method of this research is preexperiment with one shot case study design and statiktif descriptive. This research will show problem solving model appliction of redoks material for: (1)grouping skill: high category 100% are excellent skill; in medium 77,78% are excellent skill, 5,56% are good skill and 16,66% are enough skill; in low category 60% are excellent skill, 20% are good skill, and 20% are enough skill. (2)inference skill: For high category 85,71% are excellent skill and 14,29 % are good skill. for medium category 61,11% are excellent skill, 22,22% are good skill and 16,67% are enough skill; for low category 60% are excellent skill, 40% are good.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi redoks dengan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk kelompok kognitif siswa. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X6 SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung berjumlah 30 siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah pre experimental dengan one-shot case study. Analisis data menggunakan statiktif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) keterampilan mengelompokkan, untuk kelompok tinggi 100% berkriteria sangat baik; untuk kelompok sedang 77,78% berkriteria sangat baik; 5,56% baik; dan 16,66% cukup; untuk kelompok rendah 60% sangat baik; 20% baik; dan 20% cukup. (2) keterampilan menginferensi, untuk kelompok tinggi yaitu 85,71% berkriteria sangat baik; 14,29% berkriteria baik; untuk kelompok sedang 61,11 % berkriteria sangat baik; dan 22,22% baik; dan 16, 67% cukup; untuk kelompok rendah 60% berkriteria sangat baik; dan 40% baik.Kata kunci : kelompok kognitif, keterampilan inferensi, keterampilan mengelompokkan, oksidasi-reduksi, problem solving.
