Abstract

Career Planning for Students with Physical Disabilities is crucial to be prepared. A good career planning picture must contain four aspects of career planning which consist of seeking information, understanding, making decisions, and career achievement. The purpose of this study was to explore in-depth career planning in students of the Special School for Physical Disabilities (SLB) 1 Yogyakarta. This study used a qualitative approach, with the type of case study research, the subjects in this study were two students with physical disabilities, the first subject had moderate cerebral palsy and the second subject experienced abnormalities in the muscle system and skin groups. (musculus skeletal system) spina bifida. Then the secondary sources are teachers and parents. The data collection technique used triangulation in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study concluded that the career planning of the two early TA and DI students had differences. TA has not been able to do career planning. Because in the search for information, understanding, decision making, and career skills, TA cannot do it. Meanwhile, DI is capable of career planning because DI can find career information, even though DI is still a little doubtful due to lack of confidence, DI career decision making can be even though it is still not effective in managing free time. DI career skills are said to be capable, even though DI does not attend any additional education (courses).

Abstract

Psychoeducation, merging educational strategies with psychological insights, is pivotal in modern psychology for managing mental health. Understanding psychoeducation trends is vital for its optimization as mental health awareness grows. This study conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of psychoeducation research over the past decade, identifying countries, organizations, researchers, and research theme trends on psychoeducation. Using the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) framework, a bibliometric analysis of psychoeducation literature from 1944 to 2024 was performed. Data were sourced from the Scopus database, focusing on peer-reviewed English journal articles. VOSviewer software provided a quantitative assessment of the field’s structure and dynamics. Findings indicate significant growth in psychoeducation research, particularly from 2020 to 2024, with rising publications and citations. The United States led contributions, followed by the United Kingdom, China, and Australia. Major institutions included the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Arizona State University, with notable journals such as “frontiers in psychology” and “psychology in the schools.” Influential researchers like Everett L. Worthington, and Bob Algozzine, were prominent. This study outlines psychoeducation’s evolution, highlights future research areas, and offers evidence-based insights for enhancing psychoeducational interventions and mental health outcomes globally.

This study was an experiment study and used pre-experimental design employing one group pretest posttest model. The subject of this current study was students of 12th in SMA Muhammdiyah 1 Prambanan. In determining the subject, the researcher used nonprobablility sampling design with purposive sampling. The finding found a significant difference between students' social agresive level before and after they were treated with SFBC based on creative arts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of self-compassion in mental load among high school students. The study employed a quantitative correlational design and involved 262 students from three high schools in Yogyakarta. Data were collected using the Mental Load Scale and the Self-Compassion Scale. Based on the results of this study, both instruments showed adequate validity and reliability as indicated by AVE, Cronbach’s Alpha, and Composite Reliability values. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) based Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 4.0. The validity results showed that all aspects had an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) > 0.50, while internal reliability for all aspects was good with Cronbach’s Alpha and Composite Reliability >0.70. The results showed that total self-compassion had a significant role in total mental load (β = 0.133, p < 0.05) and mental load aspects (β = 0.025, p < 0.05). However, total self-compassion also played an indirect role in mental effort aspects through total mental load as a mediator (T-statistic > 1.96, p < 0.05). The R-square values indicate strong predictive ability in most aspects, including the mental load aspect (0.942) and the mental effort aspect (0.936). These findings indicate that students with higher levels of self-compassion tend to cope more adaptively with academic and emotional pressures. Therefore, school-based guidance and counseling services can be utilized to help students manage mental load by strengthening self-compassion through individual or group counseling.
