Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model eval_uasi kurikulum multidimensi (EKM) untuk mengeval_uasi kurikulum program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI) yang sesuai dengan Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI), Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi (SN-Dikti), Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), dan OBE (Outcome Based Education). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model Borg yang terdiri dari sepuluh tahapan, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, validasi model, revisi model, uji coba model, revisi model, uji coba model, revisi model, diseminasi model, dan implementasi model. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ketua program studi (KPS) dosen dan mahasiswa PBSI di 10 perguruan tinggi yang menyelenggarakan program studi PBSI. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui studi literatur, studi lapangan, angket, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, portofolio, dll. Data penelitian kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model EKM yang dikembangkan memiliki kelayakan yang tinggi dalam mengeval_uasi kurikulum PBSI sesuai dengan KKNI, SN-Dikti, MBKM, dan OBE serta dapat meningkatkan ketercapaian kompetensi lulusan PBSI berdasarkan enam dimensi eval_uasi yaitu konteks dan kebutuhan; desain; implementasi; hasil; dampak; dan eval_uasi terhadap eval_uasi kurikulum. Model EKM juga mendapatkan respon positif dari semua pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat (KPS, dosen, ahli kurikulum, ahli pendidikan) dalam proses eval_uasi kurikulum PBSI di Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas dan 9 perguruan tinggi lainnya yang memiliki program studi PBSI serta memberikan dampak atau manfaat yang baik bagi pengembangan kurikulum PBSI yang berkualitas dan relevan dengan standar nasional dan internasional, serta kebutuhan dan perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kesalahan berbahasa tataran sintaksis pada skripsi mahasiswa PBSI Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas Medan yang telah diuji pada tahun 2022. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu degan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah dengan reduksi data, penyajian, analisis, pengelompokan, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penetian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskristif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan kesalahan berbahasa tataran sintaksis pada skripsi mahasiswa PBSI UNIKA yaitu pada frasa dan kalimat dengan rincian (1) kesalahan penulisan frasa terdiri dari kesalahan pengulangan kata sebanyak 14, kata yang kurang lengkap sebanyak 14, preposisi sebanyak 2, dan kata tugas sebanyak 1; (2) kesalahan penulisan kalimat terdiri dari penggunaan huruf capital sebanyak 33, tanda baca sebanyak 15, huruf miring sebanyak 41, kesalahan analogi sebanyak 3, dan kalimat yang tidak lengkap sebanyak 1

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using Indonesian language learning modules in the Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) to improve student learning outcomes. This research took place at SMP Primbana Medan, in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The respondents were Indonesian language teachers and students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. Participatory observation guidelines were used to collect research data. This participatory observation technique was reinforced by other techniques, namely in-depth interviews and documentation. To ensure data validity, source triangulation and member checking techniques were conducted with the primary respondents. Effectiveness data were analyzed using a thematic approach through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of learning modules encouraged active student involvement, improved understanding of the material, and supported independent and contextual learning. Several obstacles were also found, such as students' difficulties in understanding the modules without guidance and the lack of adjustment of module content to students' learning needs. This study provides strategic recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning modules in the Independent Curriculum, thereby enhancing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a multidimensional curriculum evaluation model (ECM) for the Independent Curriculum in Elementary Schools (SD). Independent Curriculum is a curriculum that allows teachers to design quality learning based on students’ needs and environment. It focuses on enhancing students’ character and competencies through the Pancasila student profile project. A comprehensive, systematic, and continuous evaluation model is required to ensure Independent Curriculum’s quality and relevance. The research method is R&D using the ADDIE model with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects are teachers, principals, supervisors, and curriculum experts. Data are collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show that ECM has six evaluation dimensions: context, input, process, product, impact, and meta-evaluation, which suit the Independent Curriculum’s characteristics in SD. ECM can evaluate various curriculum aspects: objectives, content, strategies, media, learning resources, assessment, learning outcomes, and curriculum impact. ECM also has a computer application program that simplifies the evaluation process and reporting. ECM receives positive feedback from the subjects and is valid, reliable, practical, and effective. The study concludes that ECM can improve Independent Curriculum quality in SD.

Abstract

The main problem faced by SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar in implementing the Independent Curriculum is the readiness and competence of teachers in implementing innovative learning methodologies that are in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. This community service activity aims to improve teacher competence, strengthen learning infrastructure, and support school readiness in implementing the Independent Curriculum in the school. The implementation of this activity consists of several stages: socialization, training, technology procurement, mentoring, and periodic evaluation. Socialization introduces the essence of the Independent Curriculum and the role of teachers in its implementation. Intensive training is provided regarding innovative learning methods, including flipped classrooms and project-based learning. The procurement of technological devices such as CCTV, digital library applications, and laptop speakers aims to support an interactive and modern learning environment. Mentoring is also carried out in the preparation of teaching modules that are relevant to the new curriculum. The results of the activity show an increase in teacher competence in implementing innovative learning methods and strengthening technological infrastructure in schools. This activity emphasizes the importance of ongoing training and monitoring to ensure effective and sustainable curriculum implementation.Keywords: Merdeka Curriculum; teacher training; learning innovation; learning technology; project-based learning. Abstrak: Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh SMA Negeri 1 Dolok Batu Nanggar dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka adalah kesiapan dan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan metodologi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru, memperkuat infrastruktur pembelajaran, dan mendukung kesiapan sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah tersebut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap: sosialisasi, pelatihan, pengadaan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi berkala. Sosialisasi memperkenalkan esensi Kurikulum Merdeka dan peran guru dalam penerapannya. Pelatihan intensif diberikan terkait metode pembelajaran inovatif, termasuk flipped classroom dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Pengadaan perangkat teknologi seperti CCTV, aplikasi perpustakaan digital, dan pengeras suara laptop bertujuan mendukung lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan modern. Pendampingan juga dilakukan dalam penyusunan modul ajar yang relevan dengan kurikulum baru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran inovatif dan penguatan infrastruktur teknologi di sekolah. Kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan pemantauan untuk memastikan penerapan kurikulum yang efektif dan berkesinambungan.Kata Kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka; pelatihan guru; inovasi pendidikan; teknologi pendidikan; pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of portfolio assessment in Indonesian language learning under the Merdeka Curriculum for seventh-grade students at SMP Swasta Katolik Budi Murni 2 Medan. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects consisted of an Indonesian language teacher, 22 seventh-grade students, and students’ portfolio documents. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and open-ended questionnaires, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings show that the teacher understands portfolio assessment as a continuous evaluation, yet its implementation remains limited to certain writing tasks and has not been fully integrated into daily learning activities. Student reflection and teacher feedback were not optimal, while the main challenges included limited time, students’ discipline, and insufficient facilities. Nevertheless, portfolio assessment was proven to enhance students’ motivation, writing skills, participation, and self-confidence. The study concludes that portfolio assessment is relevant to the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum as it authentically evaluates both process and outcomes of learning. Therefore, teacher training, effective time management, and the development of digital portfolios are needed to optimize its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure, elements, errors, and corrections in writing news texts by students of grade VII-2 of Methodist Private Middle School Berastagi in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.The focus of the research includes the application of text structure (title, lead, content, and conclusion), the completeness of the 5W+1H elements (what, who, when, where, why, how), and the use of language in accordance with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). This research provides theoretical benefits in the development of writing skills studies at the junior high school level, as well as practical benefits for teachers as learning evaluation materials and for students as a means of reflection to improve their writing skills. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of written works of 30 students analyzed using structural, elemental, and linguistic analysis sheets. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation, while validity is maintained through diligent observation, peer review, and audit trails. The results of the study indicate that although students have understood the basic structure of news texts, there are still many inaccuracies in arranging the parts of the text logically, as well as incomplete news elements, especially the why and how elements. Linguistic errors such as the use of capital letters, punctuation, and word choice are also still common. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that students' ability to write news texts still needs to be improved, especially in the aspects of completeness of content and accuracy of language. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of more contextual, targeted, and structured practice-oriented writing instruction. The limitations of this study lie in its scope, which only analyzed written output without directly observing the learning process. Therefore, further research is recommended to explore more comprehensive learning strategies to improve students' writing skills.
