Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen diagnostik three tier test untuk mengetahui miskonsepsi siswa pada materi statistika. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah banyaknya siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi, terutama dalam menentukan mean, median, dan modus, yang mempengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahapan define, design, and development, tanpa tahapan disseminattion karena keterbatasan waktu dan ruang lingkup. Keunggulan penelitian ini terletak pada penggunaan penalaran terbuka pada tingkat kedua, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk menggali lebih dalam pemikiran siswa dibandingkan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menggunakan penalaran tertutup. Alat yang dikembangkan telah divalidasi oleh ahli dan di uji kepraktisannya oleh guru dan siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat validitas yang sangat valid sebesar 90%, dan kepraktisan mencapai rata-rata 87,5%. Dari hasil uji coba awal, ditemukan bahwa siswa mengalami 8,4% miskonsepsi, 23,3% miskonsepsi false positive, dan 12,4% miskonsepsi false negative. Berdasarkan hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen ini efektif dalam mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa dan dapat menjadi solusi alternatif bagi guru dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran berbasis pemahaman konsep.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa media pembelajaran matematika edukatif berbasis video animasi terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi teori peluang di kelas VIII SMP Mandiri Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan prosedur penelitian yang menggunakan model ADDIE. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas ahli (validator) dan siswa (subjek uji coba produk). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah Teknik komunikasi tidak langsung dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli materi dan lembar validasi ahli media serta angket. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,30% dengan kriteria valid. Hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,85% dengan kriteria valid, perhitungan angket respon guru diperoleh persentase kepraktisan sebesar 97% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, perhitungan angket angket respon siswa diperoleh persentase kepraktisan sebesar 90,64% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan hasil posstest diperoleh persentase keefektifan sebesar 89,47% dengan kriteria efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan memperoleh kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan media pembelajaran berbasis web terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi unsur-unsur bangun ruang sisi datar. Jenis penelitian Research and Development (RnD). Dari hasil penilitian pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis web pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Pertama: peneliti menggunakan modifikasi model 3-D yaitu tahap define, design, develop dari model pengembangan 4-D oleh Thiagarajan. Kedua: Media memiliki kevalidan mencapai rata-rata 90,41% dengan kriteria sangat valid, kepraktisan memiliki rata-rata 93% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan tingkat keefektifan dari uji coba pretest dan posttest pada N-Gain sebesar 73,86% dengan kriteria cukup efektif. Ketiga: Media dikemas dan ditampilkan dengan menarik menggunaan gambar, audio, serta latihan soal yang tidak membosankan. Hal ini membantu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang interaktif dan membantu siswa untuk memperdalam ilmu dengan lebih antusias.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking or critical thinking skills which are divided into three levels, namely students who have high level, medium level, and low-level critical thinking through the application of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model in class X. This research is quasi-experimental research namely the development of true experimental design with Nonequievalent control group design research design through Posttest-Only Control Design carried out at Sukake 1 Public High School. The sample selected used Cluster random sampling, namely class X MIA 1 which was used as the experimental class. Data collection was carried out by trial at SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke followed by research school at SMA Negeri 1 Menyuke using the Learning Cycle 5E learning model and post-test final test to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills at high, medium, and low levels, interviews to find out student responses regarding the results of the answers. The t-test results for both normal and homogeneous distributions obtained a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.031 < 0.05 with the decision H_1 being accepted. It was proven that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes in the control class and the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class. Descriptively, students show improvement. Students also experienced quite good improvement. So, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E learning model provides an increase in critical thinking skills

Abstract

The influence of interest on student learning is quite large, because it also indirectly affects the talents they have. The purpose of this study is to describe students' problem-solving abilities as viewed from the students' learning interests themselves. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 01 Menjalin with 29 students as research subjects and six students taken from high, medium, and low learning interests. The data collection tools used were problem-solving ability test sheets, learning interest questionnaires, and validation sheets. Meanwhile, the data collection techniques used were direct communication techniques and measurement techniques. Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are some of the data analysis approaches used in this study. The results of this study indicate that students with high learning tendencies also tend to be skilled in solving problems. There are six students who have high learning tendencies; five of them are very good at solving problems, and one is fine. Even students who are not very interested in school can have impressive problem-solving abilities. Of the thirteen students with a high learning propensity, seven showed outstanding problem-solving skills

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of validity, level of practicality and level of effectiveness of nearpod-assisted learning media on problem solving abilities in statistics material. The research method used in this research is the research and development method. The subjects in this research were divided into two, namely development subjects and product trial subjects. The data collection tools used in this research were validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the learning media assisted by nearpod on problem solving abilities is very valid, very practical, and very effective for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

This research aims to produce an e-module based on an inquiry learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in number pattern material for class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak by achieving levels of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research method applies Research and Development involving 3 material validator experts and 3 media expert validators. The subjects of this research were 24 students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Data collected were validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, interviews and students' critical thinking ability tests. The results of this research show that the e-module validity assessment is at 84.1% (Quite Valid) criteria, the practicality assessment is at 89.1% (Very Practical) and the effectiveness assessment is at 70.8% (Effective). So it can be stated that the e-module is suitable for use as a learning medium for class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak regarding the subject of number pattern systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student’s difficulties in solving problems related to relation and function. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitive approach in the form of a case study. The subjects of this study were 35 ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Pontianak. Data were collected through essay tests and interviews, then analyzed descriptively to identify the types and causes of students’ learning difficulties. The result showed that students experienced three main types of difficulties. First, conceptual difficulties (40%), indicated by a lack of understanding of the definition of functions, relations, and mathematical symbols. Second, difficulties in applying principles (67%), including errors in determining function formulas, performing calculation, and lack of accurary in solving problems. Third, difficulties in soving verbal problems (40%), reflected in students’ inability to draw function graphs, determine coordinate axes, and understand problem-solving procedures. These difficulties were caused by a lack of conceptual understanding, weak computational skills, and low accuracy in reading and solving problems. Therefore, It is necessary to implement learning strategies that emphasize conceptual undertanding, continuous practice, and improvement of students’ accuracy.
