Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik kering starbio dalam ransum terhadap karakteristik karkas babi Landrace persilangan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 5 minggu di peternakan babi milik Bapak Ir. I Wayan Sana. Babi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah ternak babi jantan kastrasi fase finisher yang berjumlah 24 ekor. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan dua perlakuan terdiri dari TS yaitu penambahan probiotik kering starbio 0% dari total ransum yang diberikan dan DS yaitu penambahan probiotik kering starbio 0,25% dari total ransum yang diberikan. Variable yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, panjang karkas, luas UDMR (Urat Daging Mata Rusuk), tebal lemak punggung dan fleshing index. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Two Independent Sample T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengaruh pemberian probiotik kering starbio dalam ransum terhadap karakteristik karkas babi Landrace persilangan menghasilkan bobot karkas, panjang karkas dan luas UDMR berbeda nyata (P<0,05) sedangkan untuk bobot potong, persentase karkas, tebal lemak punggung dan fleshing index tidak berbeda nyata (P>0.05). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan starbio 0,25% dalam pakan komersial dapat meningkatkan bobot karkas, panjang karkas dan luas UDMR (urat daging mata rusuk) babi Lanrdrace persilangan fase finisher dan dapat disarankan kepada petani peternak untuk menambahkan starbio kedalam pakan ternak babi pada fase finisher yang dipelihara, karena penambahan starbio kedalam pakan dapat meningkatkan bobot karkas, panjang karkas dan luas UDMR (urat daging mata rusuk) pada babi Lanrdrace  persilangan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the effect of starbio probiotics added in commercial ration on edible offal of broiler. The research was conducted over 5 week in Mr. Ir. I Wayan Sana’s broiler farm. The treatment that given is ST (0,25% starbio probiotics added in commercial ration) and NS (0% probiotics added in commercial ration). Variables which were research is production of broiler that is initial final body weight, carcass percentage, digestive tract percentage, heart and liver percentage, shank percentage, legund percentage, chicken head percentage, and abdomen fat percentage. Data in this research were analyzed using of Two Independent Sampel T-test. he results showed that the addition of probiotic starbio 0,25% in commercial rations can reduce the weight of the cut but increase the percentage of carcasses from broiler chickens. Addition of 0,25% starbio probiotic in commercial ration has no effect on percentage of gastrointestinal tract, percentage of heart and liver, percentage of neck, percentage of head, percentage of claw, and percentage of abdominal fat. The results showed that the addition of probiotic starbio 0.25% in commercial rations can reduce the final body weightand abdomen fat percentage but increase the percentage of carcasses from broilers. Addition of 0.25% starbio probiotic in commercial ration has non significan on digestive tract percentage, heart and liver percentage, shank percentage, legund percentage, and chicken head percentage. Abstract

This study aims to find out the comparative quality of organoleptic pork from landrace pigs that are fed to landfill (TPA) waste with meat from landrace pigs fed by commercial feed. The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Agrokomplek Building of Udayana University. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a comparison of two different meat samples. Data analysis was performed by using Mann-Whitney Non-Parametric analysis with the help of SPSS 24. Organoleptic variables observed in this study include color, aroma, texture, tenderness, taste and overall acceptance. The treatment consisted of meat from landrace pigs fed on landfill waste with meat from landrace pigs fed by commercial feed. From the result of the research, it is found that panelist's favorite level of color, texture, tenderness and meat flavor of landfill pigs are fed significantly (P<0.05) with pigs given commercial feed. While the panelist's favorite level of landrace pigs aroma given by landfill-based waste feed was statistically not significantly different (P>0.05) with commercially fed pigs. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that meat from landrace pigs fed on landfill waste has lower organoleptic quality compared to meat from landrace pigs fed by commercial feed. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan starbio dalam ransum terhadap dimensi tubuh luar dan berat badan babi Landrace persilangan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 60 hari di peternakan babi milik Bapak Ir. I Wayan Sana menggunakan babi Landrace persilangan fase “finisher”. Penelitian dilakukan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan. Perlakuan tersebut yaitu, (T0) tidak adanya penambahan starbio dalam ransum dan perlakuan (T1) penambahan starbio sebanyak 0,25% dalam ransum. Pada penelitian ini ransum yang diberikan dalam bentuk kering dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Peubah yang diamati adalah panjang badan, tinggi badan, lingkar dada, lebar pinggul, berat badan akhir, dan pertambahan berat badan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan starbio sebanyak 0,25% dalam ransum (T1), nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan lingkar dada sebesar 1,88% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan T0. Begitu juga pada berat badan akhir, yang memiliki nilai rata-rata T1 1,9% lebih berat dibandingkan dengan perlakuan T0, dan pada pertambahan berat badan, perlakuan T1 memiliki nilai rata-rata 7,32% lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan babi yang diberikan ransum tanpa ditambahkan  starbio (T0). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan starbio sebanyak 0,25% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan lingkar dada, berat badan akhir, dan pertambahan berat badan babi Landrace persilangan fase “finisher”.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan pemeliharaan dengan pemberian pemberian pakan komersial dan pemberian pakan berbasis sampah terhadap penampilan produksi babi Landrace persilangan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan, yaitu kelompok babi denganpemberian pakan komersial (BK) dan kelompok babi dengan pemberian pakan berbasis sampah (BS). Variabel yang diamati adalah penampilan produksi seperti : Berat badan akhir, Tambahan berat badah harian (PBB), panjang badan, tinggi badan, lingkar dada, lebar pinggul, dan lebar pantat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan pemberian pakan komersial didapatkan berat badan akhir 3,4% (P<0,05) lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan babi yang diberi pakan berbasis sampah. Hal tersebut diikuti dengan didapatkan PBB dan lingkar dada yang masing-masing 7,2% dan 5,0% lebih tinggi pada kelompok babi yang diberi pakan komersial. Untuk variabel lainnya ditemukan hasil yang hampir sama (P>0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini, bahwa dengan pemberian pakan komersial didapatkan penampilan babi landrace lebih baik (berat badan akhir, PBB, dan lingkar dada). Abstract

Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok teracak lengkap (randomized complete block design ),dengan tiga  perlakuan ransum dan empat  blok. Penelitian ini menggunakan 12 ekor sapi dengan bobot badan 262±11,27 kg. Sapi Bali di alokasikan secara acak  kedalam tiga perlakuan, yaitu sapi-sapi yang mendapat perlakuan kontrol RKMBI0 yaitu konsentrat molamix tanpa minyak ikan lemuru, RKMBI5 konsentrat-molamix berminyak ikan lemuru 5%, RKMBI10 konsentrat-molamix berminyak ikan lemuru 10%. Rumput gajah diberikan secara ad libitum yang dipotong dengan mesin chopper pada semua perlakuan dan konsentrat diberikan 3 kg/hari/ekor dengan dicampur bersama rumput. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, persentase tertinggi potongan non karkas internal bagian hati terdapat pada perlakuan RKMBI10 yaitu 1,70%, diikuti RKMBI5 1,59%, dan RKMBI0 yaitu 1,50% berbeda tidak nyata. Begitu juga untuk potongan non karkas internal lainnya ginjal,limpa paru-paru, dan jantung menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan pemberian suplementasi minyak ikan lemuru dalam kosentrat molamix tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap potongan non karkas internal sapi bali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial terhadap recahan karkas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 5 minggu dengan menggunakan ayam broiler CP707 umur 8 hari tanpa membedakan jenis kelamin. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah P1 (Ransum komersial dengan probiotik starbio 0,25%) dan P0 (Ransum komersial 0% probiotik starbio). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat karkas dan recahan karkas meliputi persentase dada, persentase paha, persentase sayap, dan persentase punggung. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Two Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase dada dan  persentase paha. Namun probiotik starbio dalam ransum komersial tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase sayap dan persentase punggung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa probiotik starbio 0,25% dalam ransum komersial dapat meningkatkan persentase recahan karkas pada bagian dada dan paha, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap recahan karkas bagian sayap dan punggung.

Abstract

This research that entitled “Effort to Maintain Inside Organ Weigth of Landrace Cross-breed Pig by Using Oralit Fluid While Delayed Slaughter” was done in two places, in Pig Farm Company PT. PuriAgrindo Indah (PAI) that adressed in Tunjuk village, Tabanan and Traditional slaughter place that adressed in Jln. Buluh Indah Gang IV/ 8 Br. Kerta Sari, Denpasar. The method of this research was using random group design (RAK) factorial pattern, that consist of two factor: the first one is the factor of time to raise the pig in bangsung (L) from 0 day (L0), 1 day (L1), 2 days (L2) and 3 days (L3), the second one was the doses of salt and sugar fluid that was given (G) that consist of without the given of salt and sugar fluid (G0), (150 g sugar + 15 g salt) / 1 liter of drink water (G1) and (300 g sugar + 30 g salt) / 1 liter of drink water (G2). The variabel that was observed is the weight of inside organ (heart, spleen, lungs, pancreas and intestinum). The result of this research shows that there was significant effect (P<0,05) in the weight of intestinum from L and G factor, but it is not really have significant effect to other inside organ. The interaction between G and L factor did not affect to all observed variabel. The weight of intestinum that was produced at L0, L1, L2, L3 was showed 4,079; 3,941; 3,631; 3,687 kg each, and at G0, G1, G2 showed 3,682; 3,917; 3,968 kg each. Based on this research that can be concluded that the placement of pigs inside basung for 3 days before it slaughter and the giving of oralit fluid, decreased the weight of intestinum but not affect other organs, meanwhile the interaction between G and L factor was not affect all observed variabel either. Abstract

The research was aimed to determine the comparisonof physicaland chemical quality pork of Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city waste with pork of Landrace crossbred given concentrate.The research conducted for 2 months at the Laboratory of Animal Product Technology and Microbiology Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Agrokomplek Building Udayana University.The research used the meat of the Longissimus dorsi muscle from 16 crossbred Landrace pigs, male sex of castration, finisher phase with final body weight 90±0,53kg. The research used simple experimental design (t-Test) by comparing the physical and chemical quality of pork from Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city waste (A) with pork of Landrace crossbred given concentrate (B), with each 8 pigs as replications. The variables observed were pH value, cooking loss, drip loss, water holding capacity, and water content. The data obtained were analyzed used two independent sample t-Test.The results showed that the pH values ??of both samples were the same, the percentage of water content of the two samples was significantly different (P<0.05), while the percentage of cooking loss, drip loss, and water holding capacity of both samples were not significantly different (P>0.05). Based on the results of the research can be concluded that, the physical and chemical qualitypork of Landrace crossbred that is fed based on Denpasar city wasteis lower than the physical and chemical quality pork of Landracecrossbred given concentrate. Abstract

Closed house waste which has so far been considered a contributor to environmental pollution if processed professionally, can be reused as a component of non-ruminant rations. The purpose of this study is to determine the production (potential, quantity, and quality) of broiler farm waste that is maintained in a closed house system. The cost of production of non-ruminant livestock (pig) 70-80% is still occupied by the cost of feed. The price of commercial concentrate is relatively expensive, which is a reason to look for alternative feed sources. The discovery of potential closed house chicken farm waste and innovative products as a source of protein in rations for non-ruminant (pig-poultry) is expected to the feed problem. Innovative product protein concentrate chicken farm waste of closed house (WCH) system that is cheap and competitive is produced through three stages of research: identify the type and availability of waste, its nutrient content, formulate various protein concentrate formulas, and small-scale tests on pigs with metabolic cage to determine metabolized energy content and digestibility. The results showed that the type of closed house waste (WCH) that has the potential as alternative animal feed is the waste of dead-refused chickens, and litter mixed with scattered feed. Production data in 4 periods of rearing, obtained the number of dead and rejected chickens weighing 850.7 kg (212.7 kg/period), and litter weight of 4000 kg (1000kg/period). Nutrient content of flour mixed with closed house waste (WCH), protein: 36.58%, crude fat: 4.42%, gross energy Kcal/gram. aboratory test of WCH was negative for Eschericia colli and Salmonella shigella, Coliform < 3.0 CFU/g, mold 200 CFU/g. The conclusion of this study is that the waste from closed house (LCH) broiler farms has the potential as a source of protein in alternative feeds for rumonants (chicken and pig).
