Abstract

Abstract

Equal access to health services remains a challenge in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), including in Indonesia. One of the efforts to improve access and the quality of services at Primary Health Care Facilities (PHCFs) is the implementation of the Performance-Based Capitation (PBC) system, which includes indicators such as the Contact Rate, Non-Specialist Referral Ratio, and Controlled Prolanis Participant Ratio. However, the achievement of these indicators has not yet been fully optimized. In 2022, national data showed that the Controlled Prolanis Participant Ratio indicator reached only 3.78% of the ≥5% target. Meanwhile, in the first semester of 2024, the average Contact Rate achievement at BPJS Kesehatan Semarang was only 149.14‰, slightly below the ≥150‰ target. Efforts to optimize PBC performance require in-depth analysis of the factors that influence it, including the characteristics of PHCFs. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the characteristics of PHCFs and PBC indicators. This research is a quantitative analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design, using PBC indicators data from the second semester of 2024 obtained from BPJS Kesehatan Semarang. The sample includes all PHCFs that are contracted partners and receive capitation payments from BPJS Kesehatan Semarang. Data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis with SPSS Statistics. PHCF characteristics that were significantly associated with PBC indicators (p < 0.05) included type of PHCF, ownership status, and number of registered participants

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries prone to disasters. Children are one of the vulnerable groups to become victims when a disaster strikes. At the same time, not all public and private schools in Indonesia have good resilience in facing disasters, including not being able to provide adequate disaster education for students. This study aimed to determine whether there are differences in the implementation of disaster education between public and private primary schools and to find out whether there is a relationship between the availability of information on disaster, ownership of procedures for evacuation, training, and disaster response simulations with the knowledge of disaster risk reduction (DRR) of school communities. This quantitative research used a cross-sectional study approach. The data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test for the difference test and the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient (CC) test for the relationship test. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant difference in disaster knowledge between public and private primary schools (Sig. .014). Availability of disaster information (CC .461) and emergency simulation (CC .321) are priority factors in increasing the DRR knowledge of school residents in both public and the private primary schools.

Abstract

The COVID-19 vaccine is a crucial effort to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19. To achieve optimal, effective, and efficient results in community program implementation, monitoring and evaluation are essential. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Semarang. So, it was known that service quality perception, service satisfaction, and willingness to recommend vaccination to others. This study is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design in 2022. The total number of respondents was 512 people. Data collection was carried out directly by visiting respondents who had received COVID-19 vaccinations at public health centers and vaccination centers. The data obtained is then processed and analyzed with the final model using Binary Logistic Regression. Respondents with basic education (4.67 ± 0.449) and those using the collective registration mechanism (4.51 ± 0.495) showed a positive correlation with perceived service quality. Of the 9 procedural suitability items, 4 received higher satisfaction scores: staff asking about regular medication use (4.41 ± 0.612), confirmed COVID-19 history (4.42 ± 0.598), close contact history (4.42 ± 0.609), and post-vaccination observation for side effects (4.43 ± 0.608), all with p-value < 0.05. Overall, respondents were satisfied with the service quality, with 26.5% willing to recommend vaccination to others. This indicates that the COVID-19 vaccination service is running effectively and appropriately.

Abstract

Stunting is a problem of chronic malnutrition marked by disturbance of linear growth in children, resulting from a lack of adequate nutrition, including infection, repetitive infections, and inadequate stimulation. The aim of this study is to analyze the connection between the circumference of the head and stunting incidents in children and toddlers. Research methods used a cross-sectional design with 100 children aged 2-5 years in Central Java. Data was collected through anthropometric measurements ( height, weight, and head circumference) and interviews. Data analysis with univariate and bivariate. Research results show that children with a head circumference not normal to have a prevalence of stunting is higher (21%) compared to children with a normal head circumference (1%), and there is a present connection between head circumference and the incidence of stunting in children ( p-value = 0.016). This study emphasizes the importance of integrating the circumference of the head in monitoring the growth of children, in addition to the conventional anthropometric parameters, for increased effectiveness in preventing stunting. The recommendations study covers a holistic approach involving repair nutrition, health of the mother, and environmental factors.
