Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang pengaruh penambahan sari jeruk nipis dalam ransum itik Magelang jantan pada level yang berbeda terhadap kecernaan protein kasar dan retensi nitrogen. Materi yang digunakan adalah 100 ekor itik magelang umur 5 minggu dengan bobot badan rata-rata 460 ± 4,51 g. Bahan penyusun ransum yang digunakan terdiri dari jagung, bekatul, nasi aking, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai dan premix. Ransum penelitian disusun dengan kandungan protein 18,25 % dan energi metabolis 2902 kkal/kg. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri 5 ekor itik. Perlakuan penelitian yaitu T0 (ransum tanpa penambahan sari jeruk nipis), T1 (ransum + 1,5 ml sari jeruk nipis), T2 (ransum + 3 ml sari jeruk nipis) dan T3 (ransum + 4,5 ml sari jeruk nipis). Parameter yang diukur adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, kecernaan protein dan retensi nitrogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan penambahan sari jeruk nipis tidak berbeda nyata (non signifikan) terhadap konsumsi ransum, kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen dan pertambahan bobot badan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan sari jeruk level 1,5 ml, 3 ml, dan 4,5 ml dalam ransum itik Magelang jantan tidak meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen dan pertambahan bobot badan.Kata kunci : Jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia), kecernaan protein kasar, retensi nitrogen, dan itik Magelang jantan.ABSTRACTThe aim of the research is to assess the effect of lime (Citrus aurantifolia) addition in the diet on protein digestibility and nitrogen retention in male Magelang ducks. The material used is 100 ducks Magelang age of 5 weeks with an average body weight of 460 ± 4.51 g. Constituent materials used ration consisting of corn, bran, parched rice, fish meal, soybean meal and premix. Ration of research compiled by the protein content of 18.25% and metabolic energy 2902 kcal / kg. The research design used was completely randomized design with four for the treatment and five replications. Treatment research is T0 (ration without the addition of lime), T1 (ration + 1.5 ml of lime), T2 (ration + 3 ml of lime) and T3 (4.5 ml + ration of lime). Parameters measured were ration consumption, body weight gain, protein digestibility and nitrogen retention. The results showed the addition of lime treatments non significant to ration consumption, protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and body weight gain. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji merah dalam ransum terhadap perlemakan ayam broiler. Ayam broiler umur 16 hari unsex strain MB 202 sebanyak 120 ekor dengan bobot rata – rata 389,33 ± 7,9 g ditempatkan di 20 unit petak kandang dengan masing-masing unit berisi 6 ekor ayam. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan : T0 (kontrol) : ransum tanpa penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji merah; T1 : ransum dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji merah 1,7%; T2 : ransum dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambi biji merah 3,4% ; T3 : ransum dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji merah 5,1%; T4 : ransum dengan vitamin C 500 ppm. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan prosedur analisis ragam (Analysis of Variance / ANOVA) dengan uji F pada taraf 5% dan apabila hasil analisis menunjukkan pengaruh perlakuan yang nyata akan dilanjutkan dengan uji wilayah Ganda Duncan dengan program SAS versi 9.0. Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, persentase lemak abdomen, kadar kolesterol darah dan kadar trigliserida darah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan penggunaan tepung buah jambu biji merah tidak memberikan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap bobot hidup, pertambahan bobot badan, persentase lemak abdomen, kadar kolesterol darah dan kadar trigliserida darah.Kata kunci : ayam broiler, ransum, buah jambu biji merah, perlemakan ABSTRACT The goals of this study is to find out the utilization of red guava fruit meal in the diet on broiler fat content. Broiler chickens at 16 days old unsex strain MB 202 ammount 120 birds with average weight 389,33 ± 7,9 g. 20 unit cages with each unit placed 6 broiler chicken This research used Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications: T0 (control): rations without red guava truit meal, T1: ration with red guava fruit meal 1,7%, T2: ration with red guava fruit meal 3,4%, T3: ration with red guava fruit meal 5,1%. The data obtained were analyzed using various analytical procedures (Analysis of Variance / ANOVA) F-test with level 5% and if the result of the analysis show that the real effect of treatment will be followed by Duncan's test with SAS program version 9.0. Variables observed were body weight, average dayli gain, percentage of abdominal fat, blood cholesterol and blood triglyceride. The results showed that treatment with red guava fruit meal were not significant (P>0,05) towards body weight, average dayli gain, percentage of abdominal fat, blood cholesterol and blood triglyceride.Key words: broiler chickens, ration, red guava fruit meal, fattening up

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitianbertujuanmengetahui kombinasipembatasan ransum pada siang hari dan lama pencahayaan pada malam hari terhadap kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen dan pertambahan bobot badan serta rasio efisiensi protein pada ayam broiler.  Materi yang dipergunakan adalah 320 ekor ayam broiler day old chicks (DOC) dengan bobot badan rata-rata 95,34±4,12 g, ransum (mengandung protein 19% dan energi metabolis 3007,70 Kkal).  Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola split plot 3 x 2 dengan 5 ulangan(tiap unit 10 ekor).  Main plot adalah lama pencahayaan (T1 4jam, T2 6jam, dan T3 2G:2T) dan sub plot adalah porsi ransum berbeda (R1 30% siang:70% malam dan R2 40% siang:60% malam).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan lama pencahayaan 6 jam pada malam hari  menghasilkan kecernaan protein, retensi nitrogen, rasio efisiensi protein dan pertambahan bobot badan yang lebih baik dibanding dengan perlakuan pencahayaan 4jam dan cahaya berselang, namun semua parameter tersebut menunjukkan hasil yang sama terhadap pembatasan porsi ransum. Simpulan penelitian pencahayaan selama 6jam  membuatkecernaan protein dan performans broiler menunjukkan nilai tertinggi.           Kata kunci : ayam broiler; pencahayaan; porsi pakan; kecernaan protein ABSTRACT The research was aimed to determine the combining effect of dietary restrictions and lighting periode at day and night on protein digestibility, nitrogen retention and body weight gain in broiler chickens.  The experimental animals were 320 bird of day old chicks (DOC) broilers with average weight gain 95,34±4,12 g, given feed containing  protein19% and metabolizable energy 3007,70 kcal/ kg.  Experiment was assigned in a completely randomized design of 3x2 split plot pattern with five replicates (10 bird each).  Main plot was lighting periode (T1 4 hours, T2 6 hours, and T3 2D:2L) and sub-plots was different ration portion (R1 30% at day:70% at night and R2 40% at day:60% at night).  The results showed that the treatment T2 (6 hours lighting at night) produced  protein digestibility, nitrogen retention, protein efficiency ratio and body weight gain better than T1(4 hours lighting periode) and T3 (intermittent lighting).  However, restriction of ration portion showed similar result for all parameters.  Protein digestibility and broiler perform shows the highest result due to 6 hours lighting periode. Key words: broiler; lighting periode; portion of  diet; protein digestibility

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan residu pestisida organoklorin dan pengaruhnya terhadap persentase bobot pada hati ayam pedaging lohman, khususnya yang diberi campuran pakan Salvinia molesta dari Rawa Pening. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hati ayam pedaging lohman yang berumur 42 hari, diperoleh dari 16 ekor pemotongan ayam dalam 100 ekor pemeliharaan ayam broiler Lohman. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 4 ulangan dan setiap perlakuan terdapat empat ekor ayam. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah menggunakan pakan T0 (Tanpa S. molesta), T1 (Penambahan S. molesta 6%), T2 (Penambahan S. molesta 12%), T3 (Penambahan S. molesta 18%). Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah Analysis of  Variance  (Anova) pada taraf  kepercayaan 5%. Jika terdapat pengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan sedangkan profil organoklorin dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian campuran pakan S. molesta hingga taraf 18% meningkatkan persentase bobot hati ayam dan analisis total pestisida organoklorin berada pada kisaran batas standar, meskipun semuanya belum teridentifikasi secara jelas. Hasil analisis profil organoklorin untuk jenis residu pestisida organoklorin pada hati ayam tidak terdeteksi berdasarkan pengujian dengan alat kromatografi gas dengan standar limited of detection (LOD).Kata kunci : Salvinia molesta; persentase bobot hati; pestisida organoklorin ABSTRACTThe goal of this research was to examine the contain of  pesticides organochlorine and influence presentage in the heart of Lohman broiler chicken especially which given mix Salvinia molesta weft in Rawa Pening. Material given in this research were heart of Lohman broiler chicken 42 days from 16 cut up of the chickens, from 100 breeding Lohman broiler chicken. The design of the research used in the raising the chickens was Completely Random Design with 4 treatments which for each treatments has been done in four times treatment (To = Broiler ration with 0% of S. molesta; T1 = Broiler ration with 6% of S.molesta;  T2 =Broiler ration with 12% of S. molesta; T3 = Broiler ration with 18% of S. molesta). The analysis statistic used was analysis variance (anova)  with level 5% significancy level  if there was significance effect the analysis was continuing by double region test Duncan. While, the data about the content of organochlorine profile was analyzed descriptively. The result of the research the results of this study concluded that administration of Salvinia molesta feed mixtures to increase the percentage level of 18% by weight of chicken heart and total analysis in the heart of Lohmann broiler chicken at the different treatments was on the standart limit, although all haven’t indentification as real kind of residu pesticide organochlorin.Key words: Salvinia molesta; precentage weight heart; organochlorine pesticides

Abstract

Permintaan pasar dunia untuk minyak atsiri pala mencapai 250 ton per tahun, dan sementara itu volume ekspor minyak pala dari Indonesia mencapai 200 ton per tahun, sehingga menempatkan Indonesia sebagai produsen utama minyak atsiri pala di pasar minyak atsiri dunia. Prospek yang menguntungkan ini, belum adanya kajian analisis faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan agroindustri penyulingan minyak pala. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Bogor pada kecamatan Caringin dan kecamatan Tamansari. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja dengan pertimbangan bahwa daerah tersebut sebagai daerah sentra produksi minyak pala. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan dan dampaknya terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Penggunaan model regresi berganda untuk menganalisis faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi keuntungan adalah jumlah biji pala, jumlah fuli, dan lama penyulingan. Umur tanaman dan hari kerja pengaruhnya tidak signifikan terhadap produksi minyak pala. Hasil analisis jalur dengan menggunakan program tetrad 4 didapatkan bahwa faktor  produksi yang mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap keuntungan dan PAD adalah jumlah biji pala dan jumlah fuli. Keuntungan yang didapat dari agroindustri minyak pala tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap PAD, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa keuntungan agroindustri minyak pala belum memiliki dampak terhadap PAD Kabupaten Bogor.   Kata kunci : minyak pala, produksi, keuntungan, agroindustri, Kabupaten Bogor

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan ekstrak buah Noni (Morinda citrifolia) dalam ransum terhadap profil lemak pada ayam broiler. Sejumlah 200 ekor ayam broiler dengan bobot badan 245,67 ± 10,27 g, eksktrak buah Noni (EBN), ethanol absolute, kertas saring, spuit, vacum tainer, alkohol dan alat tulis digunakan pada penelitian ini. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan (masing-masing diisi 10 ekor). Perlakuan yang diterapkan meliputi Kontrol (+) = Ransum control/RK, Kontrol (-) = RK+Bacitracin 0,04%, T1= RK+EBN 0,04%, T2= RK+EBN 0,08%, dan T3= RK+EBN 0,12%. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein darah. Data dilakukan uji Anova dan beda nyata Duncan pada taraf 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penambahan EBN berpengaruh (p<0,05) terhadap kolesterol darah, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein dan low density lipoprotein. Penambahan EBN pada level 0,12% (T3) mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol, trigliserida dan low density lipoprotein darah serta meningkatkan high density lipoprotein darah dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Simpulan adalah profil lemak darah yang ditambahkan EBN sampai level 0,12% (T3) mampu menjaga kesehatan tubuh.

Abstract

Ensilage is one of alternative methods in fish preservation. However, some problems are remained in the quality of product, while performance of ensilage product is not favorable to consumer. Therefore, study amino acid, calcium and phosphor of silage fish meal that is dried in different temperature and filler was done. The aim of the experiment is to develop physical performance of ensilage product of "ikan rucah". In this experiment, raw fish were blended with 3 % (v/w) of formic acid-propionic acid mixture(!:]) and incubated for 14 days in the aerobic condition. After 14 days, ensiling product were dried in different temperature, i.e: 45, 50 and 55 °C Crude protein, amino acid, calcium and phosphor are parameters observed. Data will be statistically analyzed by analysis of variance. This recearch found that no signifi• cantly effect of temperature of drying to crude protein, calcium and phosphor concentration of fish silage product (p>0.05). It could be concluded that to improve performance of fish silage, temperature of drying up to 55°C could be appropriated with no significant effect on nutritional contents.

Abstract

Tumbu sugar has been known by Indonesian people as one of sweetening for foods and beverages that can be substitute of sugar. That is what a potential of tumbu sugar processing business need to be analyzed and the formulation of strategies in its development efforts. The purpose of this study were: 1) to analyze the condition of tumbu sugar processing business, covering aspects of production, financial aspects and marketing aspects; 2) formulate a viable alternative strategy applied; 3) determine the priority strategies in the development of agro-industrial processing of tumbu sugar in District Kudus. This research was descriptive quantitative survey approach. The research location is in district of Kudus covers three sub-districts (Sub-District Dawe, Sub-District Bae, and Sub-District Gebog). Subjects in this study include the main actors of tumbi sugar producers, traders, government agencies and academia. The collection of data through observation, interviews, questionnaires and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Data analysis using using descriptive analysis, financial analysis and marketing analysis, SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) to formulate the steps of strategy and analysis AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) for the determination of strategic priorities in the development of tumbi sugar agroindustrial, with tools Expert Choice program.The results showed that the value analysis of the financial aspects of the R/C ratio is 1.88 ; B / C ratio is 0.88 and an IRR is 36 %. Analysis of the marketing aspects of the farmer's share values ​​obtained low of 75.8 % and the highest value of marketing efficiency of 17.49 % . SWOT analysis obtained tumbu sugar agro-industry position is in quadrant I. AHP analysis obtained by the alternative strategy of product development innovation and product diversification.Based on the Results of the research concluded that the production aspects of the tumbu sugar agro-industry businesses in Kudus regency still scale households by family labor management through a process that is still simple, but remains open investment opportunities with marketing channels already running efficiently. The alternative strategy that is feasible in the tumbu sugar agro-industry development in District Jepara is a S-O strategy that supports the aggressive growth by prioritizing the development of innovative products or product diversification.

Abstract

An experiment was undertaken to investigate physiology of growth on broiler chickens under two differences of temperature (18ºC and 32ºC) on final body weight gain, plasma concentration of T3 (triiodothyronine), plasma concentration of T4 (thyoxine) and plasma concentration of corticosterone (CTC). Body weight gain was highest significantly at forced-fed (at 18ºC=361.86 g/chicken/12 d; at 32ºC=345.02 g/chicken/12 d) and it was lowest adlibitum-fed (at 18ºC=354.91 g/chicken/12d; at 32ºC=343.39 g/chicken/12 d). Thus, rate of muscle protein syntesis (%/day) was lowest when the chickens were exposed adlibitum-fed (at 18ºC =7.40 %/day; at 32ºC =3.94%/day). Plasma concentration of T3 (triiodothyronine) was significantly decreased to exposed by adlibitum-fed (at 18ºC =1.45 ng/ml; at 32ºC=0.58 ng/ml); plasma concentration of T4 (thyoxine) was significantly decreased to exposed by adlibitum-fed (at 18ºC=5.95 µg/dl; at 32ºC= 0.58 µg/dl). However, plasma concentration of corticosteron (CTC) was significantly increased when the chickens were exposed by forced-fed (at 18ºC=9.49 ng/ml; at 32ºC=25.89 ng/ml). These results clearly show that plasma concentration hormones of thyroid and corticosteron (CTC) status are affected by temperature, forced-fed and adlibitum-fed, and may play an important role in the regulation of growth in broiler chickens.
