Abstract

This community service aims to increase the business profitability of PKK members in the Semanu sub-district, Gunung Kidul, through product branding training and diversification of kepok banana preparations. Banana kepok, abundant in the region, has economic potential that has not been optimally utilised. The programme was implemented through a series of training and mentoring involving 30 PKK members. The methods used included lectures, hands-on practice, and consultation. The training materials included processing techniques for pisang kepok into various value-added products, branding strategies, and product marketing. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge and skills. Participants successfully developed four variants of processed kepok banana products with attractive packaging and branding. The community service activities focused on increasing business profitability through product branding strategies and diversification of processed kepok bananas for PKK Semanu Village have shown positive results. Based on a survey, most participants felt an increase in skills in processing products and gained new insights related to branding and marketing. As a follow-up step, regular mentoring is provided to the participants to ensure that the skills and knowledge gained during the training can be optimally applied in the business. Recommendations for programme sustainability include continued mentoring and expansion of marketing networks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of academic stress and family social support on students' psychological well-being. The research method used is quantitative, by collecting data through a survey on a sample of students. The results of the data analysis indicate that academic stress (X1) significantly affects students' psychological well-being (Y), while family social support (X2) individually does not have a significant effect. However, when the two factors are combined, there is a significant effect together on students' psychological well-being. The implications of this study are the need for attention to academic stress management and the important role of family social support in improving students' psychological well-being. This study provides a basis for educational institutions to develop holistic intervention programs and provide support not only for academic aspects, but also for students' social and emotional aspects. Further research can explore additional factors that moderate this relationship and involve larger samples for stronger generalization.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays a dominant role in driving the wheels of the economy both on a local, regional and global scale. The aim of this research is to reveal people's economic education in instilling entrepreneurial values ​​through economic education in society. This research uses the literature study method. The research results show that entrepreneurs who are dynamic and committed to success are proven to influence economic growth and prosperity. This businessman who is full of leadership and entrepreneurial spirit will take on the task of leading an economic revolution to improve a more decent standard of living. In society, entrepreneurial values, such as creativity, innovation, careful risk management, perseverance, responsibility and optimism, must always be instilled in the younger generation. Especially through Economic Education. So that the soul and spirit of the younger generation can be more competitive in facing competition in the era of society. The role of Economic Education is very important in shaping the enthusiasm of the younger generation to become active and participatory actors in driving the economic revolution towards positive change.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of Promotion on the Purchase Decision of Shopee Marketplace Users, (2) the effect of Price on the Purchase Decision of Shopee Marketplace Users, (3) the effect of Product Quality on Purchase Decisions of Shopee Marketplace Users, (4) the effect of Promotion, Price, and Product Quality on Purchase Decisions of Shopee Marketplace Users. This research is a quantitative research. The respondents to this study were 100 students of the Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University, class of 2019 and 2020. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and were analyzed using Spearman's rank test and Kendall-W test. The results of the study show that: (1) Promotion has a positive and significant effect on the Purchase Decision of Shopee .Marketplace Users. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient value of 0.735 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (2) Prices have a positive and significant effect on the Shopee Marketplace Purchase Decision. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient value of 0.647 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (3) Product quality has a positive and significant effect on the Shopee Marketplace Purchase Decision. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient value of 0.666 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. (4) Promotion, Price, and Product Quality have a positive and significant effect on the Shopee Marketplace Purchase Decision. This can be seen from the W value of 0.796, the value of Xcount > Xtable (238,940 > 123,225), and the significance value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

The main purpose of PPM activity is after  finishing the training students are expected to be able to practice the knowledge and their capabilities in using useless goods as economics learning media as strategy to build the spirit of businessman to teacher and students. There is a special purpose: (a) giving training to economics teacher concerning the use of useless  goods  as  economics  learning  media;  (b)  giving  supplies  and capability  in designing  the  use  of useless goods as  economics  learning media; and (c) giving supplies and capability in using useless goods as economics learning media which is a strategy to build the spirit of businessman in teacher and students. The method of PPM activity used to reach   the target is speech, simulation, and giving an assignment. The result which is reached through PPM activity is (a) Most of participants who have a positive attitude toward training  implementation. This case can be showed from the observation result that  most of serious teachers (95%) and enthusiastic; (b) It is looked from the understanding level toward learning material to show that 100 % participants understand in training material. This case is seemed at the time it  is given assignment to design useless goods from 7 groups, 100% is successful to develop useless goods. The understanding and mastering of teacher toward training material, although there are 2 media groups he or she develops but they are not appropriate to be sold; (c) It is looked from the capability of RPP development by using media of useless goods to show that from 7 groups, there are 6 groups collecting RPP, 1 group do not it; (d) It is looked from the capability to apply in the class showed by assignment the practice of using useless goods as learning media, there are 6 groups do it; and (e) It is looked from the spirit of businessman shows that all participants  are  seemed  to  be  enthusiastic trained  to  sell  product  result which is made of useless goods have been developed. The conclusion of this activity is the activity of dedication to people can  be  made  as  a  means  of  developing  teacher  capability  to  do  new innovations in the case of using and developing useless goods as economics learning media in the class, beside that teacher can do the refreshing and new ideas in learning. It is expected that in the next budget year LPM still facilitates same PPM activity with most of target which is wider so the increase of quality in learning can be felt by more schools and students.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan bekerja sama dan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan melalui Program Dosen Mengajar. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahap, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan bekerja sama dan berpikir kritis siswa, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan memberikan pengalaman praktis yang relevan dengan situasi dunia nyata. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket untuk melihat tanggapan siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan dan ketertarikan siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi, dan sebagian besar siswa menyatakan bahwa metode kasus bermanfaat untuk memahami materi ekonomi dengan lebih baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa metode kasus tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan bekerja sama dan berpikir kritis, tetapi juga menumbuhkan minat dan pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap materi pembelajaran. Saran selanjutnya perlu dilakukan kegiatan untuk mengeksplorasi variasi metode kasus untuk berbagai mata pelajaran, melakukan studi longitudinal untuk menilai dampak jangka panjang, mengintegrasikan teknologi, melibatkan lebih banyak guru, mengevaluasi keterampilan lain yang relevan, serta menyesuaikan metode untuk memenuhi kebutuhan individu yang berbeda.   Case method learning training to develop collaboration and critical thinking skills   Abstract: This community service program aims to improve the ability to work together and think critically with class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan through the Teaching Lecturer Programme. The implementation of this community service was carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' ability to work together and think critically, as well as increased learning motivation and provided practical experience relevant to real-world situations. The evaluation was conducted by distributing questionnaires to see students' responses. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that students' satisfaction and interest were in the high category, and most students stated that the case method was useful for understanding economic material better. This finding confirms that the case method not only improves the ability to work together and think critically but also fosters interest and a better understanding of the learning material. Future suggestions include exploring variations of the case method for different subjects, conducting longitudinal studies to assess long-term impact, integrating technology, involving more teachers, evaluating other relevant skills, and customizing the method to meet different individual needs.

Abstract

UMKM mempunyai kewajiban dalam menata arsip sesuai amanat undang-undang. Pengelolaan arsip memiliki peranan penting untuk mendukung berbagai aktivitas dalam UMKM. Pengelolaan arsip yang tidak baik akan menimbulkan berbagai masalah. Masalah yang timbul akibat pengelolaan arsip yang kurang baik misalnya, kesulitan menemukan arsip ataupun kehilangan arsip yang dapat berakibat mengancam legilitas usaha. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengelolaan arsip yang baik khususnya arsip dinamis dapat membantu memaksimalkan pengembangan UMKM. Artikel ini akan akan mengkaji lebih dalam tentang bagaimana pengembangan UMKM membutuhkan arsip sebagai salah satu syarat mutlak yang harus dimiliki. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dengan penerapan prinsip-prinsip pengelolaan arsip yang sistematis, seperti pengklasifikasian, penataan, dan pemeliharaan yang efektif, didukung dengan peralatan yang memadai dapat mencapai efisiensi operasional yang lebih tinggi pada UMKM, menjaga keamanan data, dan memastikan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi hukum. Penggunaan teknologi modern, seperti sistem manajemen arsip digital turut berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan keamanan arsip. Selain itu, pelatihan karyawan dan pengawasan rutin adalah langkah penting untuk memastikan bahwa sistem pengelolaan arsip berfungsi secara optimal. Kata Kunci: Arsip, UMKM

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of MSME accounting understanding on accounting students' interest in supporting a people-centered economy. A quantitative approach was used, using a survey method of 184 undergraduate accounting students at Yogyakarta State University who had taken MSME accounting and people-centered economy courses. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that basic accounting knowledge, involvement in people-centered economic activities, and knowledge of people-centered economic principles have a positive and significant effect on the application of people-centered economic principles to MSMEs. Meanwhile, practical skills and entrepreneurial interest did not have a significant effect. The R² value of 0.727 indicates the model's ability to explain the strong relationship between the variables. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening an applicable accounting curriculum and collaboration between universities and MSMEs in preparing students to play an active role in developing a people-centered economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Most of the materials and questions in the available printed package books are still at the low order thinking skill (LOTS) level so that they cannot foster critical thinking skills in students in accordance with the 21st century learning characteristics. This causes the number of students who are predicated on completion when the teacher presents high order thinking skill (HOTS) questions in formative assessments is also still low, which is around 8.9%. This research and development uses the ADDIE model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design consisting of experimental and control classes. Both groups were given an initial test then given different treatments and ended with a final test for each group. The feasibility of the product was assessed by media and material experts, as well as teachers as practitioners. Electronic teaching materials were tested on the research subjects, namely students of class IXE MTsN 9 Bantul. The data collection instruments used were interviews, expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and questions on the theme of digital economic development. The results of this study are as follows. 1) The development process is carried out by analyzing and observing related students, designing products, developing electronic teaching materials, conducting expert validation, implementing in class IXE and evaluating by revising based on validator suggestions. 2) The electronic teaching materials produced meet the eligibility criteria based on the validation results of material experts 3.21, media experts 3.92, and teacher practitioners 3.58. 3) Learners gave a practicality rating of 3.21. 4) The electronic teaching materials produced are effective for improving critical thinking skills with a gain of 0.71.

Abstract

The use of e-learning applications in learning needs to consider the potential for improving students' character. This classroom action research was aimed at investigating the use of Besmart e-learning in improving the students' self-discipline in the Community Economy course. The participants of this research were 108 students majoring in Management at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. This study was based on the model by Kemmis and McTaggart, which comprises steps of planning, implementing/acting, observing and evaluating, analyzing, and reflecting. This study was classroom action research. The data were collected in two cycles of the model through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and system monitoring. This study employed triangulation techniques of data source and method to ensure the data validity. The findings show that using e-learning can improve the students' self-discipline. The students' self-discipline was reflected in self-learning materials, participation in the discussion forums, and submitting the assignments. Besmart is not only a learning medium but can also increase student self-discipline and participation in learning. The success factor in this research is not only the learning media but also the skills of lecturers and students to optimize the use of this media.
