Abstract

The use of electrical energy is getting bigger along with the increasing population growth and variousfacilities that depend on electrical energy. However, the availability of electricity from PLN is notsufficient to meet the needs of the Indonesian people. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct researchon the utilization of potential renewable energy sources which are widely owned by our country,Indonesia, one of which is river flow and irrigation canals. For this solution, a PLTMH (Micro HydroPower Plant) is made, a small-scale power plant that uses hydropower as its energy source. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the performance characteristics of the prototype Snail-Lieturbine at MHP. The research method used is first to look for data by studying literature related toMHP and existing Micro Hydro Power Plant prototypes, secondly collecting data by observing anddirectly testing the parameters on the prototype of the Power Plant. Micro Hydro Power. This researchwas conducted to determine the characteristics of the Snail-Lie turbine prototype at a Micro HydroPower Plant, namely by measuring parameters based on the angle of the nozzle and nozzle armssuch as the turbine rotational speed, the rotational speed of the generator produced by the turbine,the resulting current and voltage then calculating the power from the turbine which has the highestrotating speed. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the measurement of theparameters is that the Snail-Lie type turbine the larger the nozzle arm angle, the faster the rotationspeed of the turbine and generator. The faster the speed of the turbine, the greater the current andvoltage generated. The faster the rotation speed of the turbine, the greater the torque produced.

Abstract

Expert System to Detection Damage of Handphone Hardware Based Desktop Based is an application used to obtain a solution in overcoming damage to mobile phones. During this time people have difficulty when faced with obstacles and damage that occurred on their mobile phone. Interaction model between system and user using question and answer model, and have knowledge base system for Knowledge Engineer in order to add new knowledge. This system used backward chainning method. Tree diagram that are modeled on the rules of the knowledge base are stored in the MySQL database and in the making of the system using the Visual Basic 6.0 programming language. The use of backward chainning method can help the user to get mobile damage solution, the solution has been obtained can give the user a knowledge of damage to his mobile phone.

Abstract

is one of the regions with potential renewable energy sources, includinghydropower, namely the Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). The main problem with hydropoweris the flow of water that does not flow continuously throughout the year. A micro hydro that isplaced in a certain location requires a turbine in accordance with the characteristics of theexisting location. In this study, a turbine was designed to obtain a new type of Snail-Lie turbinethat accommodates all existing location parameters. In this turbine, there are variations in theform of gaps or spaces in each particular blade to trap water so that it can increase the torque,where this torque will affect the turbine output. The research method used is to findmathematical models of the Snail-Lie 4 Snail and 8 Snail turbines, make a prototype model tobe tested in the laboratory, make a real Snail-Lie turbine model for field trials. The resultsshowed that the addition of the number of snails from 4 snails to 8 snails caused the turbine'sperformance to increase, this is because the number of snails will affect the performance of theturbines, because the snail functions as a water trap so that it can be used as thrust for theturbine when it rotates. The highest output obtained is at the nozzle position 0° and the nozzleangle of 20° using a snail-lie 8 snail tubing which produces 166.9 rpm turbine rotation, 1086.8rpm generator rotation, 0.707 volt generator voltage, 0.189 watt generator power, and torqueamounting to 0.01 Nm, and an efficiency of 20.8%. The low efficiency value obtained in thesystem is 20.8% because the water entering the turbine is not comprehensive, the slip occurs inthe turbine that is coupled with the generator through the fan rope and the generator has its ownefficiency.

Abstract

Cultivation with a biofloc system has several advantages and disadvantages. Biofloccatfish cultivation technology is a technique to balance carbon and nitrogen levels in water toimprove pond water quality. However, cultivators must make observations in the cultivationpond water more often and carefully in order to prevent the increase in nitrogen levels. So,referring to this, a monitoring and control system for water quality and automatic feeding onbiofloc catfish cultivation was designed. The research was conducted by applying theexperimental method, in which the system is divided into three subsystems, namely waterquality monitoring, automatic water replacement, and automatic feeding. The results obtainedfrom conducting this research are in the form of tool trial data which will then be compared withdata from the program that has been made, as well as performance data from the automaticwater replacement subsystem and automatic feeding subsystem which were carried out for 5consecutive days. The conclusion of this research is that the design of a water qualitymonitoring and control system and automatic feeding on biofloc catfish cultivation based on theInternet of Things has been successfully made. In the automatic water replacement subsystem,the average relative error is 2.75%. In the automatic feeding subsystem, the average differencein feeding time is 14.5 seconds and the average relative error is 3.3%.

Abstract

Turbine is a component that plays an important role as an energy converter to be ableto generate electricity in the Micro Hydro Power Plant (MHP). The turbine used in this prototypeis a Pelton tubine. The Pelton turbine is a type of impulse turbine consisting of two blades as aprelude receiver for water jets from the nozzles by utilizing high water heads even though thewater discharge is small. This research will discuss the effect of the number of blades on therotation produced by the Pelton turbine and generator so that it can be seen the voltage,current, power produced that affects the torque value and efficiency obtained on the prototypeMHP. This study aims to obtain a turbine runner with the number of blades that can produce thehighest efficiency, then a variation of the pelton turbine runner is made with different number ofblade parameters from the runner with the number of blades according to the calculationobtained from the reference. Variations in the number of blades used are 14 blades, 16 blades,18 blades, 20 blades, and 22 blades. The results showed that the addition of the number ofblades starting from the smallest caused the performance of MHP to increase, the highestoutput obtained was using a turbine runner with a number of 22 blades which resulted in aturbine rotation of 852.2 rpm before the generator coupled and 497.2 rpm after coupling thegenerator. Generator rotation is 2133.8 rpm, Generator Voltage is 15.72 volts, Generator poweris 33.7 Watts and Torque is 0.6 Nm. The efficiency value using a runner with a number ofblades 22 is 4.54%. The resulting efficiency value is very low because the MHP prototype in generation is less effective and uses a small generation capacity DC generator, so it cannotgenerate power as much as hydraulic power.

Abstract

Pelton turbine is an impulse turbine that is different from other turbines where the peltonturbine utilizes a large high water fall (head), even with a small water discharge. The problemwith Pelton turbine is that the head is still difficult to control because this type of turbine uses ahigh head to rotate the turbine runner and there is no formula / equation to determine the angleof the nozzle which produces maximum output. Based on the problems described, it isnecessary to make a micro hidro power plant prototype using a pelton turbine with a laboratoryscale so that it can do the testing of the influence of water and the nozzle angle to obtainmaximum output results on a micro hidro power plant using a pelton turbine. The prototypetesting in this study used various water pressures, namely 5 psi, 9 psi, 13 psi, 17 psi, 21 psi,and 25 psi with nozzle angles, namely 60º, 75º, and 90º. Based on the results of the study, anincrease in the value of water pressure provided with an optimal nozzle angle will cause themicro hidro power plant performance to increase. The maximum output obtained is when thewater pressure is 25 psi with a nozzle angle of 90º which produces a turbine rotation of 917 rpmbefore the generator is coupled and 326 rpm after the generator is coupled, the generatorrotation is 1321 rpm, the generator voltage is 12.9 Volts, generator power is 30.96 Watt, torque is 0.98 Nm, and the highest efficiency occurs when the water pressure is 21 psi with a nozzleangle of 90º which is 3.91%.

Abstract

Demodex is a skin disease in dogs caused by the protozoan mite Demodexfollicularumvar canis or Demodex canis. These mites are found in the hair roots and sometimesin the glands, almost the entire life cycle of this type of mite is on the skin, if it lasts for a longtime it can cause death in dogs that are infested by these lice This study aims to detectdemodicosis in dogs with a mobile application using a convolutional neural network methodwith a squeezenet architecture model with radam optimization. This application works by takingpictures directly through the cellphone camera then processing it with a trained model then theoutput of this application displays the probability value of the dog being indicated as demodexor not. Based on the results of testing using the black box testing method, the overallfunctionality of the application has been declared successful in accordance with its respectivefunctions and objectives. From the results of validation data testing using 60 validation data,based on the accuracy demodecosis detection application is able to recognize validation datacorrectly as many as 45 data and 15 data has not been properly recognized, so that theaccuracy value is 75% and the f1-score value is 0,595.

Abstract

Water energy is energy that comes from water flow which is used to produce electricalenergy by using a flow of water that flows to turn a turbine, then the turbine is connected to agenerator. Micro-hydro power plants are usually built in areas that have the potential for generatingelectricity in a small capacity. The choice of location of a micro hydro power plant is largelydetermined by the potential for water fall or often called a waterfall. Parameters that can be changedto improve turbine efficiency are the shape of the turbine blade, turbine blade volume, nozzle angle,and nozzle position. The method used is the method of observation by observing and testing directlyand the method of literature by studying the literature - literature from several references.Performance characteristics of nest-lie turbines produce higher torque values than triangular turbineblades. Nest-lie turbine produces a torque value of 0.0076 Nm at position 450 nozzle and nozzle angle100. This shows that the nest-lie turbine has characteristics that are better than a triangular turbineblade.

Abstract

Bali has many waterfalls which can be used as Micro Hydro Power Plant (MHPP). Ituses 2 types of turbines, one of them is screw turbine or Archimedes screw. Screw turbine isstill rare, therefore a MHPP modeling needs to be made to obtain specific data. This study willdiscuss the analysis of the influence of the Head Slope and the Variation of the Angle of theBlade of Turbine to Performance of the MHPP, to determine the torque, turbine rotation,voltage, current, power and rotation produced by the generator. Best measurement results onthe slope of the head 400 and variations in blade angle 280. Voltage, current and powerobtained by 73.8 V, 148.9 A and 10.98882 W. At the turbine speed before coupling, thegenerator is obtained 596 rpm and 304 rpm after coupling, while the generator rotation is 3863rpm. The resulting torque and efficiency are 0.3492 Nm and 14.16%.

Abstract

The role of university in supporting embedded system development and Internet Of Thingsimplementation seen with Embedded System + Lab Course in Electrical Engineering StudyPorgram, Engineering Faculty, Udayana University. Embedded System + Lab Course is a newcourse, so it’s not available yet learning tools in the terms of supporting the course, then it isnecessary to create Embedded System Practicum Module. Embedded System PracticumModule cosists of 4 kinds of experiment. 1st experiment: monitoring servo motor arm positionchange with PIR sensor in Android application. 2nd experiment: monitoring servo motor armposition change with ultrasonic sensor in Android application. 3rd experiment: controlling andmonitoring light bulb with Android application. 4th experiment: controlling and monitoring lightbulb with Telegram Bot. Given the many results of the discussion of experiments and subexperimentsin module 3, in this article, only experimental data 3 data will be discussed.Experimental data in 3rd module showing the success of tool performance and output datasuitability of monitoring and controlling lamp load status on Python Shell, Firebase and Androidapplication. Can be concluded in this research that the success of making 3rd ModuleEmbedded System Practicum(3rd Experiment : Lamp Controlling Through Android Application)has worked well. The overall experimental data can show the success of parsing JSON data onthe Python Shell platform, Firebase database, Android application.
