Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the effect of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria probiotic through drinking water on the 40-48 week old Lohmann Brown hen egg production 40-48 weeks old. The research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan, Bali, for three months starting from preparation until report writing. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments and six replications. The treatments were: drinking water without probiotic addition of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as control (P0), drinking water with probiotics of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as much as 0.2% (P1), and drinking water with B- 6 probiotic of cellulolytic bacteria with 0.4% (P2). The variables observed in this study were ration consumption, drinking water consumption, egg number, total egg weight, average egg weight and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The results showed that the consumption of rations, drinking water, total eggs, total egg weight and average egg weight at treatment of P1 and P2 were significantly higher (P <0.05) compared with P0 treatment while the FCR has decrease. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the provision of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as a source of probiotics through drinking water at the level of 0.2% and 0.4% can increase the 40-48 week old Lohmann Brown hen egg production and decrease FCR. Abstract

This study aims find out the effect of katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) extract given into drinking water to egg production of Lohmann Brown chicken. This research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Sub-district, Tabanan District for 2 months. A total of 36 Lohmann Brown chicks aged 22-30 weeks used in this study were divided into three treatments. The treatment consisted of drinking water without katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) as control (K0), drinking water given 3% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K1, and drinking water given 6% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K2. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six replications. The observed variables include feed consumption, water consumption, feed conversion ratio, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average. In case of significant differences, then followed by multiple analysis of Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) through drinking water as much as 3% and 6% can markedly increase feed consumption, water consumption, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average (P<0.05), but decreased the conversion rate of the ration (P <0.05). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as much as 3% and 6% through drinking water can increase Lohmann Brown chicken egg production aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji persentase daging dada dan paha broiler yang diberi ampas tahu terfermentasi dengan khamir Saccharomyces sp. sebagai inokulan probiotik.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan  dan enam ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat karkas, komposisi fisik bagian dada, dan komposisi fisik bagian paha atas. Ketiga perlakuan yaitu ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. sebagai kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi ransum 5% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (B), dan ayam yang diberi ransum 10% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5% (B) dan 10% (C) pada persentase dada dan daging dada ayam broiler memberikan hasil yang nyata lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dari pada ayam yang mendapat perlakuan ransum tanpa ampas tahu (perlakuan A), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase tulang dada, lemak subkutan termasuk kulit dada, paha atas, daging paha atas, tulang paha atas dan lemak subkutan termasuk kulit paha atas dibandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu tefermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5%-10% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan persentase daging pada recahan dada dan persentase daging dada karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

Egg in one of the food contains high nutrition. Egg quality is very important duc to its content. One of the efforts to increase egg quality is improving ration given to the chicken, such as probiotic supplementation. This research purpose was to find out the effect of probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 given into ration to the physical quality of egg Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 40 to 48 weeks. This research was carried out for 12 weeks in Dajan Peken, Tabanan, Bali. The randomized complete design (RAL) with three treatments and six replicates were used in a the research. Those treatments were ration without supplementation of Saccharomyces spp. (A), ration with supplementation of 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 (B), and ration with supplementation 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-9 (C). The variables observed were the egg weight, white egg weight, egg yolk weight, and egg shell weight. The study result showed that ration with supplementation of 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 (B) and ration with supplementation 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-9 (C) significantly different (P<0,05) on the weight of the egg, the weight of egg white, the weight of egg yolk, and the weight of egg shell. Based on the result above it can be concluded that the effect of 0.3 % probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 or Gb-9 in rations Lohmann Brown chicken at the age of 40-48 weeks can increase the physical quality of the egg which weight of egg, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of egg shell, and but has decrease percentage of white egg. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian sabun kalsium dalam ransum terhadap performans itik bali jantan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 42 hari di Jalan Tegal Wangi II Gang Kavling No. 9 Sesetan, Denpasar, Bali. Rancangan yang digunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Tiap petak percobaan diisi dengan 4 ekor itik bali jantan berumur 14 hari dengan berat badan rata-rata 178 g ± 20,8. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah itik bali jantan yang diberi ransum tanpa sabun kalsium sebagai kontrol (A), ransum dengan pemberian 1% sabun kalsium (B), ransum dengan pemberian 2% sabun kalsium (C), dan ransum dengan pemberian 3% (D). Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat badan awal, konsumsi ransum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). Konsumsi ransum itik bali jantan yang mendapat perlakuan B, C, dan D secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A. Berat badan akhir dan pertambahan berat badan secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dari perlakuan A. Feed Convertion Ratio perlakuan B, C, dan D secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dari perlakuan A. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian sabun kalsium pada itik bali jantam umur 2 – 8 minggu dapat menurunkan konsumsi ransum, meningkatkan bobot badan akhir dan pertambahan berat badan serta Feed Convertion Ratio semakin efisien. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian ampas tahu terfermentasi probiotik dalam ransum terhadap performans  broiler. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan yaitu: ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh khamir Saccharomyces cerevisiae sebagai kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi ransum dengan ampas tahu 5% yang terfermentasi oleh Saccharomyces cerevisiae (B) dan ayam yang diberi ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu yang terfermentasi oleh Saccharomyces cerevisiae (C). Setiap perlakuan dilakukan enam kali ulangan dan tiap unit percobaan menggunakan 4 ekor ayam broiler dengan bobot badan homogen, sehingga terdapat 18 unit percobaan dan jumlah keseluruhan  ayam yang digunakan adalah 72 ekor. Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum dan “feed convertion ratio” (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum dengan 5% ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh probiotik dan ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu terfermantasi oleh probiotik berbeda nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan dan FCR ayam broiler umur 1-42 hari. Ransum dengan 5% ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh probiotik dan ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh probiotik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum dan konsumsi air minum ayam broiler umur 1-42 hari. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pemberian 5%-10% ampas tahu terfermentasi oleh probiotik dapat meningkatkan bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan dan efisiensi penggunaan ransum broiler

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mineral-vitamin complex supplementation in the ration to growth performance boar crossbreed the age of 2-6 months. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) comprising 3 treatments and 4 groups as replication, clustering based on weight. The treatments were attempted diets without supplementation of mineral-vitamin complex as the control (A), the diets with 0.10% mineral supplementation-vitamin complex (B), and 0.20% diets supplemented mineral-vitamin complex (C). The variables measured were final body weight, weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio. The results showed that supplementation of mineral-vitamin complex at the level of 0.10% and 0.20% (P <0.5) can improve the final body weight, weight gain and feed efficiency in use but not significantly (P> 0.5) increases feed intake in pigs race crosses the age of 2-6 months. It was concluded that supplementation of 0.10 to 0.20% mineral-complex vitamins in the ration can increase the final body weight, weight gain and feed efficiency in the use of the boar cross breed. Abstract

aPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung daun pepaya dalam ransum komersial terhadap recahan karkas itik bali jantan, yang telah dilaksanakan di kandang milik Bapak I Ketut Sunatra yang berlokasi di Jalan Baypass Kediri, Tabanan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus 2012 dan menggunakan 60 ekor itik bali jantan yang berumur 3 hari. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, setiap ulangan menggunakan 5 ekor itik bali jantan yang beratnya homogen.  Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah 100% ransum komersial tanpa tepung daun pepaya (A) yang merupakan kontrol, 98% ransum komersial + 2% tepung daun pepaya (B), 96% ransum komersial + 4% tepung daun pepaya (C) dan 94% ransum komersial + 6% tepung daun pepaya (D). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat karkas, persentase karkas, recahan komersial karkas (dada, sayap, paha atas, dan paha bawah), dan persentase recahan komersial karkas (dada, sayap, paha atas, paha bawah). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan pemberian campuran tepung daun pepaya dalam ransum komersial pada level 2-6% memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) pada hampir semua variabel yang diamati kecuali pada variabel paha atas yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang nyata (P<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penambahan tepung daun pepaya dalam ransum komersial pada level 2-6% tidak berpengaruh pada recahan komersial karkas bagian dada, paha bawah, dan sayap. Sedangkan penambahan tepung daun pepaya dalam ransum komersial pada level 26% nyata dapat meningkatkan recahan karkas pada itik bali pada bagian paha atas.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of calcium oil administration in commercial rations on the composition of broiler chicken carcasses. This research was carried out for 35 days at the Farm Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University, Bukit Jimbaran. The design used completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. Each plot was filled with 5 7 day-old broiler chickens with homogeneous body weight. The four treatments are chickens fed commercial rations without calcium oil as a control (A), by giving 1% of calcium oil in commercial rations (B), administering 2% of calcium oil in commercial rations (C), and administering 3% of calcium oil in commercial ration (D). The variables observed were carcass weight (g / tail), carcass meat percentage (%), carcass bone percentage (%), and percentage of subcutaneous fat (%). The results showed that carcass weight and bone percentage in chickens that received 1%, 2% and 3% calcium oil were not significantly different (P> 0.05) compared to chickens that did not get calcium oil (control). The percentage of chicken meat treated with calcium oil was significantly higher (P <0.05) compared to control, while the percentage of subcutaneous fat significantly decreased with the addition of calcium oil compared to control. From the results of the study it can be concluded that administration of calcium oil by 1-3% in commercial rations can increase the percentage of meat and reduce the content of subcutaneous fat in broiler chickens. Abstract

The purpose this research is to know the effect of use 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp in ration on fat distribution and cholesterol serum of broiler. The experiment used of Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and six replicates, with three broiler in each replicated. The treatments were basal diets as control (A), diets with 20% unfermented tofu waste (B), and diets with 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp (C), respectively. Results of this experiment showed that the fat pad of broiler in treatment C were significantly different (P<0.05) lower both than treatment A and B. Total cholesterol serum of broiler in treatment C was lower significantly (P<0.05) than treatment A, but not significantly with treatment B. Mesenteric fat and ventriculus fat has no significant different for all treatments.  It can be concluded that used of 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp in the ration can lower the percentage of pad fat and total cholesterol serum of broiler; and used of 20% tofu waste unfermented can be decrease total cholesterol serum of broiler.
