Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of turmeric leafextract (Curcuma domestica Val.) in drinking water on the physical quality of Lohmann Brown’segg. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with three treatments. Each treatment was repeated six times usethree of hen bird of 60 weeks aged perspectively. The three treatments were K0 that is Lohmann Brown was given drinking water without water extracts turmeric leaf; K1 that is Lohmann Brownwas given an additional 2% of extracts turmeric leaf; K2 Lohmann Brown was given an additional 4% of extracts turmeric leaf.The variables in this study included the average of egg weight, percentage of albumen, percentageof egg yolk, percentage ofeggshell, eggshell thickness, and egg index. The results showed that the average of egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of eggshell, and eggshell thicknesswere highly significantdifferent (P<0,05) and the percentage of albumen wassignificant different (P<0,05) lower than control.The percentage of egg yolk with level 4% did not significantly different (P>0,05) from control and also from level 2%.Based on the results concluded that turmeric leaf extract at level 2% can increase average of egg weight, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of eggshell, eggshell thickness, decrease the percentage of albumen, but none effect of the egg index. Level 4% of turmeric leaf extract can increase the average egg weight, percentage of eggshell, eggshell thickness, decrease in the percentage of egg white, but none effect of the percentage of egg yolk and index. Abstract

This study aim was to find out the effect of noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) extract water given into drinking water to egg production of Lohmann Brown the age of 22-30 weeks. Research in Dajan Peken village, Tabanan sub-district-Bali for 3 months with 36 Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 22 week as material. The design used is complete randomized design with 3 treatments and 6 replications. Such treatment: without added noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract as control (A); B: with 2% noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract; and C; with 4% noni leaf (Morinda citrifolia L.) water extract. Variables obserbed were feed consumption, water consumption, feed converation ratio, total egg production, average egg weight and total egg weight. The results obtained were tested by multiple analysis from Duncan. The results showed that giving leaf water extract of noni leaf into drinking water at level 2% and 4% significantly able to increased feed consumption, water consumption, total egg production, average egg weight, total egg weight and reduced feed conversion ratio value on Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 22-30 weeks. The conclusion of this study is giving water extract of noni leaf at level 2% and 4% into drinking water can significantly increase egg production and reduced feed conversion ratio value of Lohmann Brown chicken aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

This study has been carried out to investigate the effect of utilization 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp. on ration to physical carcass composition of broiler chicken. Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and six replicates was used in this study. Those three treatments were basal ration without tofu waste as control (A), ration containing 20% tofu waste (B), and the ration containing 20% tofu waste fermented (C). Variables observed carcass weight and it’s physical composition were meat, bone and subcutaneous fat including the skin carcass. The result showed that fed ration containing 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp. (treatment C) increasing (P<0.05) carcass weight and meat carcass percentage and decreasing (P<0.05) subcutaneous fat including the skin carcass percentage compared fed ration without tofu waste (treatment A). Adding 20% tofu waste on ration (treatments B) so increasing (P<0.05) meat carcass percentage and decreasing (P<0.05) subcutaneous fat including the skin carcass percentage broiler. Meanwhile on bone carcass percentage all treatments has not significant defferent (P>0.05). It was concluded that utilization 20% tofu waste fermented by Saccharomyces spp. on ration can increasing carcass weight and meat carcass percentage and decreasing subcutaneous fat including the skin carcass broiler. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) dan bawang putih (Allium sativum) terhadap distribusi lemak tubuh dan kadar kolesterol broiler umur 2-6 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah ayam yang diberi air minum tanpa campuran ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) dan bawang putih (Allium sativum) sebagai kontrol A, ayam yang diberi air minum dengan 50g/liter ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) sebagai perlakuan B, dan ayam yang diberi air minum dengan 50g/liter ekstrak daun bawang putih (Allium sativum) sebagai perlakuan C. Pemberian air minum secara ad libitum. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah pad-fat, mesenteric-fat, ventriculus-fat, abdominal-fat, dan kolesterol darah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pad-fat, mesenteric-fat, ventriculus-fat, abdominal-fat, dan kadar kolesterol dalam darah menurun secara nyata (P<0,05) dengan pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) dan daun bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera Lam) dan daun bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum dapat menurunkan lemak abdomen dan kadar kolesterol dalam darah broiler.

Abstract

Now there are many opportunities in the development of production and accompanied by an increase in the quality of broiler chicken meat carcasses through biotechnology engineering, namely the use of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) as probiotics, sourced from a result of fermentation traditional cassava tape and sour soy milk.Completely randomized design (CRD) were used which consisted of six treatments and four replicates. Each replicate consist of five chickens. The chicken was raised for 5 weeks and then slaughtering was done two times or two chickens in each replicate, so we had 48 sample to be analyzed. The treatments are as follow: drinking water not added probiotic as control (A); 1% of cassava tape in 1 liter water (B); 2% of cassava tape in 1 liter water (C); 1% of sour soymilk in 1 liter water (D); 2% of sour soymilk in 1 liter water (E); 1% of cassava tape + 1% sour soymilk in 1 liter water (F). The experimental commercial diets for starter phase (aged 1-3 weeks) was given councentrate type CP 511 and CP 512 for finisher phase (aged 3-5 weeks). The experiment started used the chicken aged 1 week with average weight of 174 – 181 g/birds. In conclusion of the research, had potential benefits improved for carcass production and quality broiler chicken meat, showed that increase of total protein serum, hight density lipoprotein (HDL) and also increasing organoleptic characteristic, also effect significantly decrease of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein (LDL). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minyak kalsium dalam ransum komersial terhadap berat potong, lemak bantalan, lemak mesenterium, dan lemak ventrikulus broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 35 hari di Farm Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Udayana Bukit Jimbaran. Rancangan yang digunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Tiap petak percobaan diisi dengan 5 ekor ayam broiler umur 7 hari dengan berat badan homogen. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa minyak kalsium sebagai kontrol (A), dengan pemberian 1% minyak kalsium dalam ransum komersial (B), pemberian 2% minyak kalsium dalam ransum komersial (C), dan pemberian 3% minyak kalsium dalam ransum komersial (D). Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat potong, lemak bantalan, lemak mesenterium, dan lemak ventriculus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian minyak kalsium 1-3%, dalam ransum komersial ternyata berat potong perlakuan B tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) perlakuan C dan D nyata lebih rendah (P<0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan A. Lemak bantalan ayam yang mendapat perlakuan B, C, dan D nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dari perlakuan A sedangkan lemak mesenterium dan lemak ventriculus tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian minyak 1-3% dalam ransum komersial dapat menurunkan kandungan lemak abdomen broiler dan pemberian 2-3% menurunkan berat potong. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan daun bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum terhadap penampilan broiler umur 2-6 minggu. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan.Ketiga perlakuan tersebutadalah ayam yang diberi air minum tanpa penggunaan ekstrak air daun kelor atau ekstrak air daun bawang putih sebagai kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi air minum ekstrak daun kelor (B), dan ayam yang diberi air minum ekstrak daun bawang putih (C), pemberian pakan dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian sebanyak 5% ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum) melalui air minum dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan menghasikan nilai FCR yang efisien pada ayam broiler umur 2-6 minggu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of pollard replacement with an rice branin the suplementation mineral-vitamin complex in diets against performance of pig ras age 2-4 months. The research was carried out for 2 months in Banjar Lebah Jadi, Jadi Village, Kediri, Tabanan. The design used in the randomized block design (RBD) consisted of 3 treatments, 4 replications. The ration treatment used rations using pollard 18% as a treatment (A), rations using 18% (B) rice bran, rations using rice bran 17.9% + 0.1% complex vitamins (C). Variables observed were feed consumption, final weight, weight gain, and feed conversion ratio. The results obtained will be analyzed by analysis of variance and if there are significant differences (P <0.05) then followed by Duncan's multiple distance test (Steel and Torrie, 1995). The results showed that the consumption of rations with treatment A and treatment B had different consumption not significantly (P> 0.05). In treatment C, ration consumption was 25.66% and 41.78% higher than treatment A and B significantly different (P <0.05). Weight gain in treatment C was 21.78% higher than treatment A but not significantly different (P> 0.05), while treatment C 61.84% was significantly higher than treatment B (P <0.05). FCR in treatment C obtained 14.68% lower than treatment B significantly different (P <0.5). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the provision of ration with supplementation of complex minerals as much as 0.10% significantly affected the consumption of rations, final body weight, and FCR in cross-breeds aged 2-4 months. Abstract

This research was carried out to determine the effect of giving probiotics 0.3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 in rations on chicken egg production Lohmann Brown phase age 40-48 weeks. This research was carried out by farmers in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan for 2 months. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (CDR) with three treatments and six replications. The third treatments were chicken giving rations without probiotics as control (A); chickens given ration with the probiotic Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 0.3% (B); and chickens given ration with the probiotic Saccharomyces spp. Gb-9 0.3% (C). The variables observed in this research were ration consumption, drinking water consumption, total egg weight, total number of eggs and FCR. The results showed chickens given ration with probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 that total egg weight and FCR chickens given probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 each had a significant (P<0.05) but on ration consumption, drink water consumption, and the number of eggs each had a non significant (P>0.05). From the results of this research it can be concluded that the granting of 0.3% of the probiotic Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 in ration Lohmann Brown can provide significant influence to the total weight of the egg and the FCR had non significant influence towards the consumption of rations, drinking water consumption, and the total number of eggs Lohmann Brown age 40-48 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu melalui air minum terhadap kadar protein, lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Dajan Peken, Kabupaten Tabanan-Bali selama 3 bulan dengan menggunakan 36 ekor ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut: tanpa ekstrak air daun mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia Linn.) sebagai kontrol (M0); pemberian 2% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M1) dan 4% ekstrak air daun mengkudu (M2). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah kadar protein kuning telur, kadar lemak dan kadar kolesterol kuning telur. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji berganda dari Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak air daun mengkudu sebanyak 2% dan 4% dapat meningkatkan kadar protein kuning telur ayam, menurunkan kadar lemak dan kolesterol kuning telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 22-30 minggu.
