Abstract

This study aimed to determine the pattern of marketing channels, marketing margin of each marketing channel of anthurium cut flowers in the village of Candikuning and problems faced by anthurium cut flowers farmers in marketing their products. Basic method of this research was descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The research area was taken purposively, that is, Candikuning Village, Baturiti Dustrict, Tabanan Ragency. The method to determine the sample of respondents used census method for farmers, because out of the farmers of anthurium cut flowers in the Village of Candikuning there were eight farmers and snowvall sampling for marketing agencies. The data ware taken either in the form of primary data and secondary data through interviewing, recording and observation. The research result showed that there were two patterns of anthurium cut flower marketing channels in Candikuning Village i.e., channel I : Farmers ? Village Collectors ? Retailer Trades ? Consumers, channel II : Farmers ? Retailer Trades ? Consumers. The highest marketing margin was in the first pattern i.e. IDR 3.000 per stalk, for the pattern II amounted to IDR 2.500 per stalk. The higest share received by the farmers was in the marketing pattern II i.e. 37,5%. The problems faced by anthurium cut flower farmers in marketing their products were the price of anthurium flowers in yhe faremr level was low.

Abstract

Abstract Financial Performance of Village Cooperative (KUD) Mambal in Abiansemal District, Badung Regency Agricultural cooperatives in Indonesia through Village Cooperative (KUD) have got the task as well as a wide range of facilities to support the development of rural economy. In the development efforts of KUD in the future, it requires financial information in order to determine the financial performance of a KUD more accurately and completely The aim of this study was to determine the financial performance of KUD Mambal using financial ratio analysis seen from the ratio of liquidity, solvency, activity and profitability from 2010 to 2014 and to determine the factors that affect the financial condition of KUD Mambal. Based on the results of the financial analysis, the liquidity ratio showed the average current ratio was considered to be poor and quick ratio was considered to be less good. The solvency ratio showed the average debt to assets ratio was considered bad and the average debt to equity ratio is considered to bad. Activity ratio shows the average collection period was considered to be less satisfactory, inventory turnover was considered less satisfactory, and fixed asset turnover was considered very good. Profitability ratio showed that the average gross profit margin was considered to be less satisfactory, return on assets was considered less satisfactory, and net profit margin was considered good enough. Suggestions in this research are that KUD Mambal management should consider policies to manage accounts receivable and inventory, as well as services to members should be re-increased. Abstract

The Influence of Brand Image on Durian Sibolang Purchasing Decisions Consumer purchasing decisions in buying Durian Sibolang products are influenced by three factors of brand image, namely company image, user image and product image. These factors influence each other in the purchasing decision process leading to purchase decisions.This study aims to determine the brand image of Durian Sibolang products, to analyze the characteristics of respondents on purchasing decisions and to analyze the effect of brand image on purchasing decisions. Respondents in this study were all Durian Sibolang consumers who had previously bought Durian Sibolang. This study uses accidental sampling method with a sample size of 50 respondents.The method used is descriptive analysis and SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using Smart PLS software. The results show that consumers of Durian in Sibolang were dominated by women aged <25 years whose highest education level is high school (currently studying or working), and have an income of > 3,000,000. The results of this study also show the effect of brand image on consumer purchasing decisions. It can be concluded that company image does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, but two other brand image factors, namely user image and product image, have a significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Rice Farming Revenue Analysis of Ciherang Varietyby using the PlantingSystem of Legowo Row 2:1 (A Case Study in the Subak of Sengempel, Bongkasa Village, Sub-District of Abiansemal, Badung Regency)Rice is one of the crops that has the potential to be developed economically. The waythat can be done to increase the rice production is by the use of superior and effectiveagricultural technology. Farmers in the Subak of Sengempel are growing the ricevarieties of Ciherang by using Legowo row planting system 2:1 to boost theproduction of rice. The purpose of the study was to determine the revenue, R/C ratioand the constraints of Ciherang varieties of rice farming using Legowo row plantingsystem 2:1 in the Subak of Sengempel, Bongkasa Village, Sub-District ofAbiansemal, Badung Regency. The selection of location was conducted purposively,and the determination of the respondents was taken by purposive sampling consistingof 30 farmers of respondents. The results of research of Ciherang varieties of ricefarming by using Legowo row planting system 2:1 showed that in one growingseason, the production costs incurred was Rp 15.533.330,99/hectare, obtaining Rp27.109.333,33/hectare, which generated revenues of Rp 11.576.002,34/hectare. TheR/C ratio was 1,75 per hectare and theobstacles facedwere technical problems in ricecultivation of Ciherang varieties. Farmers are advised to make the cultivation of ricevarieties of Ciherang using Legowo row planting system 2:1 because the ricefarming is profitable or feasible.The farmers should suppress or reduce theproduction costs, especially the labor costs outside of the household. The farmers areexpected to anticipate the pest attack in rice plants.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Marketing Mix of Organic Fertilizer in a Stock Farmer Group of Nandini Asri at Kelating Village, Sub-district of Kerambitan Tabanan Marketing is a most important thing to be carried out by a company in its effort to create the market in order to get an opportunity to obtain the optimal profit and maintain the survival of the business. Any business in any field needs a support of marketing concept in the form of marketing mix covering product, price, promotion and place. In order to get the marketing objective, then those four elements should support each other. The aim of this research is to find out the marketing mix of organic fertilizer carried out by Stock Farmer Group of Nandini Asri in Tabanan and the constraints they are facing in applying the marketing mix. Marketing mix carried out by Stock Farmer Group of Nandini Asri is to produce three type of products which are planting media, decomposer (JMG) and organic fertilizer, to determine the selling price using cost pricing method, and to conduct the promotion using personal selling method, whereas for distribution channel used there are two channels. The main constraint faced in marketing mix is in the process of producing bio organic fertilizer and planting media in the rainy season which have a little obstacle in the drying process. Marketing mix which being carried out is preferable that stock farmer group to utilize more of existing technology. Key words: marketing, marketing mix, distribution channel, organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Logistic Management and Organizational Consumer’s Perception on Asparagus Marketing by Farmer CooperativeAsparagus is a commodity that is commonly sold for modern markets. Mertanadi farmer cooperative is the only cooperative in Bali that supply asparagus to many destinations including supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and other suppliers. The commodity is supplied by the cooperative members at Plaga Village, Petang district, Badung regency. The aims of this study are to find out logistic management of asparagus by Mertanadi farmer cooperative to the organizational consumers. This research was carried out to 17 organizational consumers of Mertanadi cooperative located in Denpasar city, Badung regency and Gianyar regency. Logistic management by the cooperative was analyzed using descriptive qualitative method, while the perceptions of the consumers to the commodity were analyzed using Likert scale. Result of the study shows that the Mertanadi farmer coopertaive has implemented the seven basic concepts of logistic management including planning, budgeting, procurement, warehousing and distribution, maintenance and deletion as well as controlling. Perceptions of the organizational consumers seen from product availability, product quality and price are categorized good. However there is one weakness, according to the consumers, that is the cooperative is not able to fulfil the entire demand. It is expected that the cooperative needs to manage to fulfil the whole consumer’s demand.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Consumers’ Perception toward Organic and Inorganic Rice at Satvika Boga Shop in Sanur Denpasar The objective of this research is to know the consumers’ perception level toward organic and inorganic rice and to know the consumers’ perception differences toward organic and inorganic rice. The research is descriptive by nature. Primary data was obtained from direct observation in the field and interview using questionnaire, meanwhile secondary data was obtained from the agencies/institutions. Previously the data that was obtained from the respondents was analyzed beforehand using validity and reliability tests. In this research using qualitative descriptive analysis method with Likert scale, descriptive statistic analysis, and nonparametric differentiation test analysis with Wilcoxon method. Respondents’ perception toward organic and inorganic rice equally included in good category with different score achievement, that is 81,86% for organic rice and 71,55% for inorganic rice. There is an obvious difference of respondents’ perception between organic and inorganic rice. It is can be seen from the statistic analysis result which shows Z value at -4,799 with the Asymp. Sig at 0,000 . The shop owner is expected to be always able to maintain the quality of organic rice, the government should provide the subsidy for organic rice and the farmers need the assistances from the related agencies (agricultural instructors) in the case of pesticide usage reduction and chemical fertilizer and consumers should be more careful to select the appropriate rice either from the hygienic and quality aspects. Abstract

Ground Vanilla and Extract Vanilla Sales Forecasting Analysis on Tripper Nature Company, Bali Sales forecasting analysis should be done by businesses to increase and maintain a particular sales objective. Tripper Nature applies made to order system instead of using sales forecasting method to determine the sales target. The study aims to: (1) identify the product profiles of PT. Tripper Nature, (2) analyze sales data pattern for ground vanilla and extract vanilla (3) determine the best quantitative sales forecast method (4) and make an estimation sales forecast for ground vanilla and extract vanilla. This study uses both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Data are analyzed using trend analysis, simple moving average, single exponential smoothing, double exponential smoothing, double exponential smoothing, decomposition additive, decomposition multiplicative, and ARIMA (Auto Regressive Moving Average). Data analysis is concluded by looking at the minimum rate from MSE (Mean Square Error), which means the best quantitative method. Based on the result, the product profiles of PT. Tripper Nature could be classified into five products, namely whole dried vanilla, vanilla cuts, ground vanilla, extract vanilla, and vanilla paste. Vanilla powder and vanilla extract show a seasonal data pattern which means that agricultural raw materials are not available all year round. The best quantitative method for vanilla powder is the simple moving average method with an MSE of 14,832. 878. The best quantitative method for vanilla extract is the additive decomposition method with an MSE of 2,305,189. The forecast estimate for the 24 periods of vanilla powder was 176,049.6 pounds and for the vanilla extract was 42,928.34 gallons. It is hoped that PT. Tripper Nature would consider using the forecasting methods to increase sales in the future.

Abstract

Abstract Critical Path Analysis by Supply Chain Management of Organic Liquid Fertilizers at PT Alove Bali Competition fertilizer producers appear due to start the implementation of the organic agriculture system by the Government of Bali Province. PT Alove Bali are requested to maintain existence and the competitiveness sustainably in producing organic liquid fertilizer. An increase in the current activities can be done by supply chain management approachment. The purpose of this research is to analyze supply chain of organic liquid fertilizer, in terms of dimensions capabilities ,capacity, time and cost. Capabilities and capacity described in qualitative and quantitative to evaluate company cooperation with suppliers and consumers. The method of network analysis used for measuring the saving time one cycle production in critical path, and the cost saving. The results show that companies and partners run their rights and duties in accordance with procedures set forth in contract including cooperation agreement, funding assistance for supplier, the payment system, and evaluate aloevera supplier performance. Based on the capacity analysis, fertilizer sales of 6.57 percent the last three years and the 93,43 percent kept as fertilizer stock half finished. Based on the Project Evaluation Review Technique, the results show the efficient time to one cycle production is 2,382.28 hours and the cost went down to Rp 1,271,666.00. Abstract

Abstract Performance Koperasi Kredit Kubu Gunung Tegaljaya Dalung Village, Kuta Utara Sub-district Badung Regency (Approach Balanced Scorecard) Cooperative is the only entity which compatible with national economic system. Cooperative has position as “soko guru” of national economic and as a part which cannot be separated from national economic system. The purpose of research is to know how the performance of Kredit Kubu Gunung Tegaljaya Cooperative based on balance scorecard that observed with financial perspective, consumen perspective, internal business process perspective, research and development perspective during 2009 until 2013. The type of data collected is quantitative and qualitative data. Data collection methods used were interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis method used is the balanced scorecard method and descriptive qualitative. According to financial perspective analysis of liquidity ratio represents a the worst performance, solvability ratio represents bad performance, and profitability ratio represents worse performance. Whereas, according to consumen perspective shows the increasing amount of member is good, and the satisfication of member shows a satisfied attitude. According to internal business process perspective represent an efficient process. From research and development ratio shows that productivity and retention of employee is good, and based on the satisfication of employee shows a satisfied attitude. The conclusion based on four perspectives of balance scorecard represent that the performance is good enough. The suggestion for Kredit Kubu Gunung Tegaljaya Cooperative is should be able to increase the capital. Keywords : cooperative, balance scorecard, performance, credit
