Abstract

PT. Inti Pantja Press Industri merupakan produsen komponen-komponen bodi mobil Daihatsu merk Xenia, Terios, Ayla, Sirion dan Sigra berlokasi di Bekasi. Industri otomotif memiliki potensi bisnis yang positif karena permintaan mobil yang terus bertambah setiap waktu. Namun, agar dapat memenangkan kompetisi bisnis yang saat ini semakin berat, maka PT. IPPI harus dapat menjalankan produksi secara lebih efisien. Hasil observasi awal pada proses produksi Daihatsu Xenia terindikasi beberapa masalah yang terkait dengan adanya pemborosan (waste) misalnya bottleneck dan cacat. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi, pendekatan lean manufacturing dipergunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Pertama-tama pemborosan diidentifikasi dengan Value Stream Mapping kemudian Borda Count Method dipergunakan untuk menentukan pemborosan (waste) kritis pada lantai produksi yang hasilnya yaitu waste waiting, defects dan over production yang menyebabkan terjadinya over inventory finish part. Metode 5 Whys kemudian dipergunakan untuk mencari akar penyebab pemborosan (waste). Berdasarkan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis diketahui akar penyebab waste tertinggi adalah operator tidak membersihkan dies sebelum proses press, lifetime komponen yang telah habis namun tidak diganti dan karat pada produk finish part. Rekomendasi perbaikan yang dapat diusulkan yaitu penerapan metode Poka Yoke dengan instalasi sensor dan peralatan di mesin press dan pemasangan wrapping pada pallet produk finish part.

Abstract

Astra Daihatsu Motor Company. Potential market for automotive is continuously growing which is positive signal for automotive businesses. However nowadays competition is also getting stronger. Therefore PT Inti Pantja Press Industri should efficiently manage their production. One way is by reducing and eliminating waste in its production. Production process in PT. Inti Pantja Press Industri is still having several problems. Based on early observation there are bottleneck in subassy processes and also defective product. Reffering to these problems, it can be indicated that there are several waste in production process of PT. Inti Pantja Press Industri.Therefore, Lean Manufacturing  approach  is  utilized  to  reduce  or  eliminate  waste  in  production processes. First,   various waste are identified using Value Stream Mapping. Borda Count Method is used for determining critical waste that occur, they are as follow: waste waiting, defect, and overproduction that cause over inventory finish product. Then, 5 Whys Analysis specifies root causes of waste waiting and waste defect. By using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, highest priority of root causescan be selected, which are  operator  do  not  clean  dies  before  press  process,  operator  do  not  replace components that has already over its lifetime (wear) and rust on finish product part. Recommendations for improvements are conducted by implementating Poka Yoke method,  they  are:  installation  of  sensors  and  equipment  in  Press  machines  and wrapping finish part product.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan proses produksi wire rod steel di PT. Krakatau Steel (persero) Tbk. Cilegon dengan menggunakan pendekatan six sigma. Tingginya jumlah defectwire rod steel menyebabkan Divisi Wire Rod Mill selalu melebihi batas defect yang diizinkan oleh perusahaan dan berakibat pada kerugian. Pendekatan six sigma dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa metode seperti menghitung defect permillion opportunity, level sigma, analisa pareto, diagram ishikawa dan borda count methods. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DPMO dari produk wire rod steel adalah sebesar 899,978 dengan level sigma 4,621σ. Berdasarkan analisa pareto bahwa defect yang paling sering terjadi adalah defect laps dengan jumlah 288,512 Ton dan penyebab-penyebab utama terjadinya defect adalah kerusakan guide dan operator tidak melakukan adjustment bar. Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan pada PT. Krakatau Steel (persero) Tbk. Cilegon adalah maintenance harus tetap dijalankan meskipun sedang tidak produksi, melibatkan bagian perawatan dalam memperbaiki kerusakan, program direct buying untuk sparepart di bawah harga tertentu melalui Prima Koperasi Krakatau Steel (Primkokas), Menambah item sparepart yang ada didalam kontrak perjanjian dengan vendor, melakukan proses pendampingan dan mentoring karyawan terutama pada karyawan baru.

Abstract

Packaging is one of the important aspects of a product’s identity. The good and adorable packaging can increase product competitiveness because it gives a perception to the customers of good quality products. Therefore, a good packaging display is necessary so that packaging quality inspection is very important. Automated defect detection can help to reduce human error in the inspection process. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is an approach that can be used to detect and classify a packaging condition. This paper presents an experiment that compares 5 network models, i.e. ShuffleNet, GoogLeNet, ResNet18, ResNet50, and Resnet101, each network given the same parameters. The dataset is an image of cans packaging which is divided into 3 classifications, No Defect, Minor Defect, and Major Defect. The experimental result shows that network architecture models of ResNet50 and ResNet101 provided the best result for cans defect classification than the other network models, with 95,56% for testing accuracy. The five models have the testing accuracy above 90%, so it can be concluded that all network models are ideal for detecting the packaging defect and defect classification for the cans product.

Abstract

In advance, the lean concept was used and applicated for big manufacturing industry. However, the lean concept used widely for all kinds of industry in the world. The improvement practice as lean and JIT also used for small industry (SMEs) in any countries which have implemented lean. The SMEs which have implemented lean showed any improvement, as the increasing of efficiency and flexibility, clear of communication and close with the Customers so the response and feedback are quicker and the costs are lower. The lean assessment tools used to value the effectiveness and the efficiency from lean implementation in the certain industry. The development of lean assessment tool for SMEs done by considering the difference between SMEs characteristic with industry a big scale. Have been many studies development of lean assessment to measure lean implementation in manufacturing industry and service generally without considered the size of his industry. However there are just a few development of lean assessment tools study that specific to measure the implementation lean manufacturing on SMEs. Therefore, this study aims to collect and compare the dimensions and indicators of the Lean Assessment Tool from several countries that are suitable for use in manufacture SMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Procurement is one of activity of government institution. ULP Bontang as a procurement unit is a part of Bappeda Bontang. Due to importance of procurement process, ULP Bontang needs to manage its risks by identifying, analyzing and controlling potential risk that may impedes ULP objectives. All goverment institution refer to a Internal Government Controlling System which called by Sistem Pengendalian Intern Pemerintah (SPIP) for conducting its risk management. Since there are several part of SPIP is not applicable in ULP Bontang. Therefore in this research, SPIP is modified based on ISO 31000 framework. Moreover, Delphi method is utilized to identiry riks involving five experts and established 23 potential risk in ULP Bontang. The modifications were also made in developing of severity and probability tables corresponding to the conditions of ULP Bontang. The formulation of mitigation recommendation concerned by very high potential risks. The mitigation for risk number (12) ULP Bontang office is not representative are securing ULP office using fingerprint device so only authorized personel allowed to enter the office. The cost required for this mitigation is about Rp 30.000.000 and Rp 32.000.000 for CCTV installation and evacuation route sign and also ULP needs to partnership with other institution to securing ULP Bontang member.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan gula nasional saat ini antara lain adalah permasalahan on-farm, off-farm yang membutuhkan kesadaran masing-masing stakeholder industri gula. Stakeholder utama dalam industri gula adalah petani tebu dan pabrik gula yang dalam penelitian ini adalah PG. Djatiroto. Semakin banyak stakeholder, maka proses bisnis di dalamnya akan semakin kompleks. Oleh karenanya, dibutuhkan pengelolaan risiko supply chain untuk koordinasi dan mengelola aktivitas dari masing-masing aktivitas bisnis supaya tujuan utama berupa peningkatan produktivitas gula bisa tercapai. Langkah awal yang harus dilakukan adalah identifikasi risiko. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode Delphi karena metode Delphi menyediakan alternatif yang lebih handal dan efisien untuk memecahkan masalah dengan ketidakpastian yang tinggi dan menguatkan cara brainstorming dan wawancara expert Delphi. Responden dalam metode Delphi terdiri dari 2 stakeholder utama dalam supply chain industri gula, yaitu PG. Djatiroto dan petani tebu.

Abstract

The availability of LPG in the community is a sensitive issue. If there is a shortage, it has the potential to cause chaos and inflation. The final consumers, namely households and micro business stalls, will generally be disloyal. They are not tied to one particular store to get the LPG they need. Since the number of tanks in circulation will remain constant, the analysis of LPG availability can be focused on the number of tanks. Continuous simulation method with system dynamics is generally used in system growth analysis. In this paper the method is utilized to model the discrete movement of tanks circulating in the community which in this case is represented in a much smaller system, consisting of filling stations, agents, and stores. The modeling results provide a sufficient picture of how the availability of the tank can be optimized appropriately.

Abstract

The proposed mathematical model aims to optimize the amount of demand based on the uncertainty of salt supply to meet the needs of salt in society. This study uses an econometric approach to model the supply and demand for salt based on the uncertainty of the amount of supply. The research results are the salt productivity model used to build a salt availability model. Meanwhile, the salt demand model is built based on past data about the number of requests for each period. The demand and supply functions for salt use a two-variable linear equation system. The salt field productivity models follow a quadratic polynomial pattern according to the difference in seasons at each time. The demand and supply of salt model follows a linear regression. The supply of salt in Indonesia is uncertain at any time. But, the demand for salt increased at the time. It is necessary to model the demand and supply of salt to meet the demand for salt

Abstract

Chicken slaughter process waste is divided into two types, solid waste and liquid waste. Almost all of the waste generated by the chicken slaughter process can be reused. Lately, Vocational High School in Pasuruan, East Java, has Livestock Agribusiness unit that made a waste treatment program to deal with the problem of waste from the surrounding chicken slaughter process. However, some chicken slaughter process waste cannot be reprocessed and is directly dumped into the sewer due to limited technology. The type of waste that cannot reprocess is blood and chicken feather waste. This research aims to process the waste into high-quality fish food by applying the principle of automation and integrating machines with existing chicken cutting machines. The application of this appropriate technology begins with observing the existing conditions and the process of designing, manufacturing, and testing equipment carried out at Vocational High School in Pasuruan. The research resulted in designing and manufacturing machines that support waste treatment of blood and chicken feathers from Livestock Agribusiness. The machine design consists of three main components: a blood and chicken feather grinder, a vertical mixer, and a fish feed press machine. The expectations of this machine design will support productivity and concern for waste management, which can also build environmentally friendly standards in the Livestock Agribusiness unit of Vocational School in Pasuruan.
