Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of the Teacher Leadership Program (Program Guru Penggerak/PGP) for Physical Education (PJOK) teachers in Dharmasraya Regency using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. A qualitative descriptive-evaluative approach was employed with eight informants, including teachers, principals, practice instructors, and education office representatives. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documents, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with source and method triangulation. Findings indicate that the PGP is relevant to teacher needs and policy, supported by adequate modules and institutional resources, and fosters reflective and collaborative practices. However, technical constraints, time management challenges, and variation in teacher engagement were noted. The program enhances pedagogical competence, instructional leadership, and teacher roles as change agents, though impacts on student outcomes and long-term sustainability require further evaluation.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews literature on integrating character values into junior high school Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) modules, addressing gaps between policy ideals and classroom practice. Using studies published from 2018 to 2025 across Google Scholar, ERIC, and ScienceDirect, empirical research was selected based on relevance, methodological rigor, and focus on character-based learning. Findings indicate that modules combining direct, indirect, and reflective approaches effectively foster cooperation, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship, particularly when supported by structured activities, guided reflection, and valid assessment tools. Core components such as integrated objectives, value-based activities, reflection sheets, and teacher guides enhance value internalization. This review highlights the need for contextually adapted modules, systematic evaluation, and teacher facilitation, providing an evidence-based foundation for designing PJOK modules that promote holistic character development in junior high school students.

Abstract

This literature review synthesizes empirical evidence on how teacher expertise, student learning motivation, and self-beliefs influence learning outcomes in elementary school Physical Education. A systematic search of open-access national and international studies published between 2017 and 2025 was conducted using multiple databases with keywords related to teacher competence, motivation, self-efficacy, and learning outcomes. The findings indicate that teacher expertise, encompassing pedagogical knowledge, instructional clarity, and effective feedback, serves as a foundational determinant of student engagement and motor skill development. Learning motivation, particularly intrinsic motivation, acts as a mediating factor that enhances persistence and active participation in Physical Education activities. Self-beliefs, including self-efficacy and perceived competence, consistently predict task engagement and adaptive responses to challenges. The review highlights the interplay of pedagogical quality and psychological readiness as a holistic framework for improving learning outcomes, emphasizing the need for teacher development programs and intervention-based studies to strengthen motivation and self-beliefs in students.

Abstract

The problem in the research is motivated because the achievements of Indonesian Aquatic Federation swimming athletes have not been maximized. This is suspected, because the coaching program given to athletes is not running optimally. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the coaching program for the achievements of swimming athletes of the Indonesian Aquatic Federation (IAF) Solok City. The research method is CIPP model program evaluation research with informants of administrators, coaches and swimming athletes of IAF Solok City. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that, (1) Context aspect, the coaching program carried out aims to produce athletes who excel in swimming, both at the Regional, Provincial and even National levels. (2) Input aspects, there is a written management structure, already has a certified or licensed coach, a lot of good potential to become a swimming athlete, there are no adequate facilities and infrastructure, and need to be renewed, and there are only short-term training planning documents that are not arranged as training programs, (3) Process aspects, there is a written coach preparation. The implementation of the training program provided is in accordance with what the coach has prepared. (4) Product aspects, the achievements of athletes in championships that are followed such as O2SN Provincial Level, BSC and HBSC time trials, NSC, Yogyakarta national students, Igornas Provincial Level, Kejurda, Riau open and Minangkabau open.
