Abstract

This research is based on the condition of adult beginners who study piano in a course institution but are constrained by internet network disturbances. Thus the researchers created a digital-based piano training concept by adding video tutorials as a supplement to piano training media. Video tutorials are online instructional videos that are connected indirectly with content in the form of stages to carry out specific activities. The use of this video tutorial is intended for beginner piano students aged 9 years or older who are then categorized as adult beginners. The author made this article using the interview method and literature review. The results of this study are 5 piano teachers using video conferencing technology on the zoom application for the concept of digital-based piano training; The advantage of digital-based piano training is that both piano teachers and adult beginners can learn piano anytime and anywhere; while the weakness of digital-based piano training is the internet network which is sometimes disconnected and delayed; On this concept, tutorial videos are shared via whatsapp app before piano training meeting on zoom app; There are 5 stages in making video tutorials, namely 1) Planning materials and indicators of competency achievement; 2) Finding ideas and imagining the concept; 3) Creating Story Lines; 4) Making PPT, writing melody scripts and recording audio visuals; 5) Editing

Abstract

AbstractThis study explores the preference for Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and its influence on the musical aesthetics of students majoring in Music Technology. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a practice-based research framework, the research involved active students at the Music Study Program, School of Art and Design Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of students’ digital music works. The findings reveal that DAW selection is influenced by a combination of technical, pedagogical, and creative factors, with Studio One being the most preferred. The features most utilized by students include mixing effects, MIDI sequencing, and preset plugins. Approximately one-third of the students acknowledged that DAW significantly impacted the structure and aesthetic style of their works, while others emphasized personal identity over technological influence. These results indicate that DAWs act not only as production tools but also as mediators of musical thought and expression. The study suggests the necessity of pedagogical frameworks that encourage both technical proficiency and critical reflection in digital music education. The findings also highlight the need for curriculum development that provides students with diverse DAW platforms to support artistic exploration and identity formation. Key Words DAW, music technology, musical aesthetics, digital creativity, music education AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi preferensi penggunaan Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) dan pengaruhnya terhadap estetika musikal mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Musik yang mengambil Minat Studi Musik Teknologi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan kerangka practice-based research. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket terbuka, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi karya musik digital mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan DAW dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor teknis, pedagogis, dan kreatif, dengan Studio One menjadi platform yang paling dominan. Fitur yang paling sering digunakan mahasiswa meliputi efek mixing, editor MIDI, dan preset plugin. Sekitar sepertiga mahasiswa mengakui bahwa DAW berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk struktur dan gaya estetika karya mereka, sedangkan sebagian besar lainnya menilai bahwa identitas musikal pribadi lebih berpengaruh. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa DAW berperan tidak hanya sebagai alat produksi, tetapi juga sebagai mediator dalam berpikir dan mengekspresikan ide musikal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kurikulum musik digital yang menyeimbangkan penguasaan teknis dengan refleksi kritis terhadap penggunaan teknologi. Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of a value-based expressive drawing model within the framework of Cultural Education and National Character Building (PBKB) in elementary schools students. The objective is to explore how this model can enhance emotional intelligence and instill moral values in students through creative expression. To align with government policies, the study was conducted with 3rd graders at Cisarua 1, 2, and 3 Elementary Schools located in Bandung Barat Regency. The study examined: (i) the school’s vision and mission supporting Cultural Education and National Character Building (PBKB); (ii) the application of character education through value-based expressive drawing to enhance emotional intelligence in elementary school; (iii) the impact of this educational approach on students' values and personalities, as reflected in their learning outcomes; and (iv) changes in students’ attitudes, analyzed through children's drawings. The experimental methods aimed to improve lesson plans, teaching processes, instructional media, and the analysis of values in children's visual symbols. Results indicated positive shifts in students' attitudes and character values, as evidenced by progress reports over two semesters. Various national character traits were identified in children's expressive drawings, notably through the visualization of symbols of honesty, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness of value-based expressive drawing model in character education.

Abstract

Abstract: The digital transformation has significantly reshaped art education, particularly in adapting teaching approaches to suit the traits of digital native learners who are immersed in technology, visuals, and interactivity. This study is a Qualitative Research employing a literature analysis method to identify adaptive digital-based art learning strategies. Data were gathered from books, journal articles, and relevant online publications using targeted keywords. Thematic content analysis was applied to identify recurring patterns and issues, including blended learning models, STEAM integration, the digital divide, and teacher readiness. The findings indicate that integrating technology into art education not only enriches the creative process but also fosters critical thinking and innovation. As a result, art education curricula must strike a balance between traditional manual skills and contemporary digital approaches to establish an inclusive, progressive, and globally relevant education system.Abstrak: Transformasi digital telah mendorong perubahan signifikan dalam pembelajaran seni rupa, terutama dalam menyesuaikan pendekatan dengan karakteristik generasi digital native yang terbiasa dengan teknologi, visual, dan interaktivitas. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif dengan metode analisis literatur yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi pembelajaran seni berbasis teknologi digital yang adaptif. Data diperoleh dari buku, artikel jurnal, dan publikasi daring yang relevan, menggunakan kata kunci terfokus dalam proses pencarian. Analisis dilakukan melalui pendekatan analisis isi tematik untuk mengelompokkan pola dan isu utama, seperti model blended learning, integrasi STEAM, kesenjangan digital, dan kesiapan guru. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan seni tidak hanya memperkaya proses kreatif, tetapi juga mendukung pengembangan berpikir kritis dan inovasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kurikulum seni rupa yang menggabungkan keterampilan manual tradisional dengan pendekatan digital kontemporer untuk membentuk sistem pendidikan yang inklusif, progresif, dan relevan secara global.

Abstract

The aesthetics of jewelry design and patterns of entrepreneurial creativity are key aspects in developing Kamasan jewelry products in Pasirjambu, Ciwidey. Each generation of artisans exhibits unique skills and approaches in creating bespoke accessory designs. This study aims to explore the creativity patterns and aesthetic values in the jewelry designs produced by four generations of artisans in Pasirjambu. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed to gather data from four artisans, both male and female, focusing on ring designs. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and document studies, with data analysis conducted through triangulation. The findings reveal that the artisans’ creativity lies in their innovative use of motifs, enhancing aesthetics, comfort, and market appeal. This study highlights how tradition and innovation coexist to preserve the jewelry heritage of Pasirjambu while fostering entrepreneurial creativity. Desain Perhiasan yang Estetis dan Pola Kreativitas Wirausaha: Studi Kasus Empat Generasi Pengrajin Perhiasan Pasirjambu. Estetika desain perhiasan dan pola kreativitas kewirausahaan menjadi kunci dalam pengembangan produk perhiasan kamasan di Pasirjambu, Ciwidey. Setiap generasi pengrajin menunjukkan keunikan keterampilan dan pendekatan yang berbeda dalam menciptakan desain aksesori pesanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pola kreativitas dan nilai estetika dalam desain perhiasan yang dihasilkan oleh empat generasi pengrajin di Pasirjambu. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan untuk menggali data dari empat pengrajin, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan, yang berfokus pada desain cincin. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas para pengrajin terletak pada inovasi motif yang mendukung estetika, kenyamanan, dan kebutuhan pasar. Studi ini mengungkap bagaimana tradisi dan inovasi berjalan beriringan dalam melestarikan warisan perhiasan Pasirjambu sekaligus memperkuat pola kreativitas kewirausahaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran pola asuh dalam keluarga seniman Sunda terhadap pembentukan profesionalisme mahasiswa musik di Program Studi Musik FPSD UPI. Studi kasus pada dua mahasiswa, Wilky Leonady dan Fiqri Hidayatussafar, mengungkap bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya seperti disiplin, etos kerja, tanggung jawab, kreativitas, dan kerja keras yang ditanamkan sejak dini membentuk karakter bermusik yang profesional. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh keluarga seniman Sunda tidak hanya memengaruhi keterampilan bermusik tetapi juga membentuk etos kerja dan kedisiplinan yang tinggi pada mahasiswa. Proses pembelajaran yang berbasis nilai budaya ini memberikan implikasi positif terhadap pengembangan profesionalisme musisi muda. Kesimpulannya, nilai budaya yang kuat dalam pola asuh keluarga seniman Sunda memainkan peran krusial dalam membentuk karakter profesional mahasiswa musik, memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pendidikan musik yang menekankan pada pengembangan keterampilan dan karakter secara seimbang.

Abstract

The digital marketing industry in the hospitality sector needs a creative workforce that is able to integrate technical skills with strategic innovation. The Teaching Industry program implemented by the Graphic Design Study Program of Widyatama University in collaboration with Hotel Malaka is designed to overcome the gap between the competencies of graphic design students and industrial needs. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Teaching Industry program in developing the technical competence of Diploma 4 Graphic Design students through various learning approaches. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis (logbook, portfolio, and performance evaluation). The study involved 17 students working on digital marketing projects, including content planning, graphic design, photography, videography, and social media management during the Odd Semester 2022-2023 to the Odd Semester 2024-2025. The results of the study show that 80% of students have experienced an increase in technical competence, especially in producing visual content, branding strategies, and social media management. Performance evaluation showed that branding design obtained the highest score (86.8), followed by event content creation (85.6). Work-Based Learning, Experiential Learning, Collaborative Learning, and Project-Based Learning approaches have proven to be effective in supporting student skill development. This program has successfully prepared students for the world of work in the creative industry sector, especially digital marketing. This Teaching Industry learning model can be adopted by other educational institutions to answer the industry's need for skilled and innovative creative workers.

Abstract

Penting untuk diingat bahwa stigma perempuan adalah isu kompleks yang terhubung dengan berbagai faktor sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan politik serta kependidikan. Permasalahan yang sering diamali oleh perempuan, sedikit banyaknya juga penulis rasakan sendiri, diambang usia menuju kedewasaan banyak hal-hal baru yang menarik perhatian sehingga seringkalinya mengalami kesadaran dalam bagaimana masyarakat luas dalam memandang perempuan dalam suatu kotak pemahaman. Banyaknya pengaruh dari pola kehidupan manusia maupun lingkungan sosial seringkali membawa pengaruh bagi seseorang dalam memahami suatu problematika terutama dalam stigma perempuan, sehingga penulis ingin memberi ilustrasi dimana dapat menjadi pemahaman bersama bagaimana melepaskan perempuan dari belenggu stigma membutuhkan upaya kolektif dan berkelanjutan. Tahapan persiapan pembuatan karya ada lima tahap yaitu : (1) Persiapan (2) Elaborasi (3) Sintesis (4) Realisasi Konsep dan 5) Penyelesaian. Karya-karya ini membahas tentang perihal yang jarang dirasakan, serta dimiliki oleh setiap golongan masyarakat bagaimana menganggap perempuan itu memiliki derajat yang sama serta dapat membebaskan mereka dalam hal berekpresi tidak dibendungi oleh cibiran, makian bahkan kekerasan. Untuk itu dengan adanyanya karya-karya penulis harap untuk dapat menyadarkan ataupun hal-hal yang selama ini terjadi itu adalah salah terutama pada stigma perempuan dikehidupan sehari-hari. Menghapus stigma pendidikan perempuan tidak perlu tinggi, akan mempermudah dan membuka peluang bagi perempuan untuk mengembangkan dirinya.

Abstract

The concept of oil liquid auxiliary vessel combines tanker and container ship features, designed to achieve high speed while maintaining the same displacement, necessitating design analysis to optimize hull resistance. One approach used is the addition of a bulbous bow to the hull. This study compares the resistance between the conventional hull of BCM-3 and the bulbous bow-equipped hull of BCM-4 using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) method with NUMECA. Speed variations used were 16 knots, 17 knots, and 18 knots. The research results show that the use of a bulbous bow on BCM-4 yields more optimal total resistance, with respective resistance values of 339.807 N at 16 knots, 374.558 N at 17 knots, and 497.606 N at 18 knots.
