Abstract

This paper uses a qualitative approach design history that includes Groove heuristics, critique, interpretation and historiography. This paper describes a pattern of ethnic life Sasak Ethnic Balinese. The second encounter was part of the ethnic dynamics of patterns of social life, art and culture of the community of West Lombok, Bali, colonial empire domination Netherlands and Japan as well as the aftermath of independence. West Lombok in the course of its history has its own and unique patterns by showing the existence of the ideal cooperation between different ethnic religion in building a harmonious unity.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (i) to reveal and explain the history of the existence of bendi in Soppeng. (ii) Describe the problems faced by bendi drivers in Soppeng. (iii) Revealing the role of the government and the community in preserving the bendi in Soppeng. In uncovering the existence of bendi in Soppeng Regency, this study uses historical research methods, namely (i) heuristics (ii) criticism (iii) interpretation (iv) historigraphy. In addition, to make it easier to understand the events under study, the authors use theoretical approaches such as (i) functional structure The results of this study indicate that, (i) the history of the existence of bendi in Indonesia which was originally only used for the nobility until finally it could be used in general by the community. (ii) Bendi in Soppeng begins with the existence of a bendi in Soppeng, knowing what it takes to become a bendi driver, types of traditional transportation in Indonesia and how the function and role of a bendi has changed from the colonial period to the modernization era, as well as the author describes the process of gradual decline in the bendi in Soppeng. (iii) regarding the preservation of the bendi carried out by the local government and the community.Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah (i) Mengungkapkan dan menjelaskan sejarah keberadaan bendi di Soppeng. (ii) Menjelaskan problematika yang dihadapi kusir bendi di Soppeng. (iii) Mengungkapkan bagaimana peran pemerintah dan masyarakat dalam pelestarian bendi di Soppeng. Dalam mengungkap keberadaan bendi di Kabupaten Soppeng, penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian sejarah yaitu (i)heuristik (ii) kritik (iii) interpretasi (iv) historigrafi.selian itu untuk lebih mudah memahami kejadian yang diteliti maka penulis menggunakan pendekatan teori seperti (i) struktur fungsional  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, (i) sejarah keberadaan bendi di Indonesia yang pada awalnya hanya digunakan untuk para kaum bangsawan saja hingga akhirnya bisa digunakan secara umum oleh masyarakat. (ii) Bendi di Soppeng di mulai dengan keberadaaan bendi di Soppeng, mengetahui apa saja yang dibutuhkan untuk menjadi kusir bendi, jenis-jenis trasportasi tradisional yang ada di Indonesia serta bagaimana perubahan fungsi dan peran bendi dari masa kolonial hingga era modernisasi, serta penulis juga menjalaskan proses kemunduran yang berangsur-asur terjadi pada bendi di Soppeng. (iii) tentang pelestraian bendi yang di lakukan oleh pihak pemerintah daerah serta masyarakat.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas tentang “Makassar ramah difabel menuju kota inklusi” yang berupaya untuk melihat Bagaimana upaya pemerintah dalam menjadikan kota Makassar ramah difabel Menuju Kota Inklusif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian sosiologi antropologi. Sumber data  penelitian ini adalah penyandang disabilitas yang tergabung dalam Gerakan Kesetaraan Disabilitas Indonesia di Sulawesi Selatan, dan dinas sosial dan pemerintah kota Makassar.Metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi  reduksi data, penyajian data, teknik analisis perbandingan,dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kota Makassar termasuk kota ramah di fabel namun masih perlu di tingkatkan dari segi infrastruktur dan aksebilitas, namun kota Makassar telah melakukan beberapa upaya untuk menjadi kota yang ramah difabel, namun masih ada ruang untuk perbaikan. Makassar menjadi kota pertama di Indonesia yang memiliki Rencana Aksi Disabilitas (RAD Disabilitas). Keterlibatan disabilitas dalam proses Musrenbang (perencanaan pembangunan lokal) sangat penting bagi kota untuk menjadi lebih inklusif.Dinas Sosial di Makassar mengkonfirmasi bahwa tiga proyek infrastruktur besar, Karebosi, Japparate, dan Smart Panyingkulu telah dilakukan pemerintah untuk menunjang kota ramah difabel menuju makassar sebagai kota inklusi.  Kata Kunci: difabel, kota Inklusif,Makassar

Abstract

This research explores the importance of an inclusive society based on cultural values and social norms in the era of globalization. In an inclusive culture, everyone is recognized, regardless of background or identity, with equal opportunities to participate and contribute. This creates an equitable environment, enriches cultural diversity, and strengthens the nation's collective identity. A.R Radcliffe Brown's functional, structuraltheory is used to see culture as an adaptive mechanism for orderly social life. This research is descriptive and qualitative in nature, using observation, interviews, anddocumentation methods. Source triangulation is used to ensure the validity of the data.Data were analyzed in the context of inclusive society theory based on cultural values andsocial norms. The research results in Lakawali Village, East Luwu Regency, show thatcultural values and social norms encourage acceptance of diversity, openness, andtolerance in society and function as protection against the digital era.Keywords :Inclusive Society, Cultural Values, Social Norms

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: menganalisis makna simbolik yang ada pada 11 sureq untuk setiap lipaq saqbe, menganalisis fungsi ke 11 sureq pada lipaq saqbe, menganalisis mengapa masyarakat masih mempertahankan keaslian sureq (motif) pada lipaq saqbe sampai saat ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dan pengamatan langsung. Subjek penelitian adalah budayawan, sejarawan, penenun dan masyarakat yang ada di Polewali Mandar yang paham akan lipaq saqbe. Tekhnik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Makna simbolik ke 11 sureq yang ada pada setiap lipaq saqbe memiliki filosofi dan makna yang mengandung konsep adat istiadat masyarakat Mandar. sureq tersebut merupakan simbol komunikasi non verbal yang mengokomunikasikan makna, pesan melalui setiap sureq pada lipaq saqbe. Beberpa makna yang ada pada setiap lipaq saqbe melambangkan adanya perbedaan antara sureq yang dipakai oleh para bangsawan, kepala adat dan masyrakat biasa. Setiap sureq memiliki corak atau motif yang sama, hal yang dapat membedakan setiap lipaq saqbe yaitu warna dan besar kecilnya kotak- kotak yang ada pada ke 11 lipaq saqbe tersebut. Secara umum fungsi dari ke 11 sureq pada setiap lipaq saqbe mandar seperti pagar yang memberi perlindungan kepada dirinya, sebagai pembeda yang dapat dilihat dari setiap sureq tersebut, serta dapat dijadikan sebagai aksesoris pada setiap acara. Dan tentunya sebagai warisan budaya yang perlu dilestarikan. Sampai saat ini masyarakat mempertahankan keaslian sureq pada lipaq saqbe karena masih banyak peminat ataupun masyarakat masih menjunjung tinggi keaslian sureq, serta ini menjadi salah satu tempat mata pencaharian bagi masyarakat mandar. selain itu lipaq saqbe juga merupakan peninggalan yang harus selalu di lestarikan meski sudah banyak yang mengikuti perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to know and understand the cultural values ​​that exist in the Martajaya sub-district, to know and understand the morals and economy of the people in the Martajaya sub-district and to know and understand the work ethic of the people who live in the Martajaya sub-district. To achieve this goal, a qualitative research method was adopted by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed and interpreted based on relevant theories and research results. The results of the study show that traditional values ​​in the belief tradition, Hindu religious rituals, and the human life cycle are inherited from their predecessors where the people in the Martajaya sub-district are transmigrants from the island of Bali who have never left the traditions below them from the village. Page. As for the morals of the people in the Martajaya sub-district, they are very well instilled. This is what makes the sub-district so peaceful when we visit the Martajaya sub-district. From an economic point of view, the community’s success in developing its economy can be proven by building a magnificent temple and that reflects how rich the person is. People see that if the temple or place of worship is large, then the owner is a rich or respected person. To improve their economy, the people in the Martajaya sub-district do not only work as oil palm fruit farmers but also take opportunities in the entrepreneurial field such as opening a shop for mixed ingredients for daily needs, photocopying and others.

Abstract

This research examines the empowerment process of Pa'belle fishermen from a communicative action perspective, recognizing that all their activities serve as communication tools with meaning and messages for others. The study aims to analyze the problems faced by the fishermen during the empowerment process, as well as the communicative actions they undertake and the direction of their empowerment. The research utilizes a qualitative Single Case Study approach, with 15 purposively selected fishermen as informants who have at least two years of experience working as fishermen and understand the challenges experienced by fishermen and fishermen groups. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, participant observation, and literature study, while data analysis employed a three-step technique of data categorization, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The study findings revealed various problems faced by Pa'belle fishermen in the empowerment process, including challenges with government support such as DAU 2021 assistance, the need for "Balean" wooden stakes, nets, extension workers' limited understanding of fishermen's socio-cultural realities, and exclusive participation in meetings with village heads. Internal problems within fishermen groups were also identified, such as the lottery-based determination of Sero numbers, inadequate information dissemination from extension workers to group members, lack of coordination among members, and a group leader who is not open or independent. The study also identified the communicative actions of Pabelle' fishermen during the empowerment process. These actions included intense communication, providing self-managed assistance tailored to the fishermen's needs, active participation in every activity, conveying ideas intensively, daring to express criticism and input on occurring problems, displaying a critical perspective on illegal logging issues, as well as exhibiting power, access, and control over their resources. In terms of the direction of Pabelle' fishermen empowerment, the study suggests the need to strengthen the role of fishermen groups, the digitalization of fishermen's activities, increased environmental awareness, and the involvement of external parties outside the government. This research demonstrates that empowerment processes among the Pa'belle fishermen involve various communicative actions that convey their social situations to others. The findings highlight the key problems encountered by the fishermen, the communicative actions they undertake during the empowerment process, and the directions for further empowerment initiatives. These insights contribute to a better understanding of the empowerment process and offer guidance for policymakers and practitioners seeking to empower marginalized fishing communities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul Ritual Kelahiran ( Mappendre Tojang ) Kajian Siklus hidup masyarakat bugis di Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad, Kunak, Sabah, Malaysia. Penelitian ini memiliki rumusan masalah yakni (1)Makna dari ritual mappendre Tojang dalam hidup masyarakat bugis di Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad, (2) Pengaruh budaya melayu dalam pelaksanaan Mappendre Tojang masyarakat bugis di Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad. Yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna ritual mappendre tojang dalam hidup masyarakat bugis Kampung Airport Bt.10 dan pengaruh budaya melayu terhadap ritual mappendre tojang di masyarakat bugis Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa proses pelaksanaan ritual mappendre tojang di Kampung Airport Bt10, Ladang Tun Fuad yaitu: (1) makna ritual mappendre tojang masyarakat bugis di kampung Airport merupakan bentuk rasa syukur dan bentuk kewajiban yang dijalanin sebagai umat islam serta upaya pelestarian tradisi masyarakat bugis yang bermigrasi di luar dari kepulauan asli mereka. Tahapan dan hal yang diperhatikan dalam ritual mappendre tojang yaitu: waktu pelaksanaan ritual, mappeleppe sanro, jenis sajian makanan, barzanji/makkulawi, Gunting rambut, naik ayunan. (2) pengaruh budaya melayu terhadap ritual mappendre tojang di Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad hanya dipengaruhi dari segi nilai-nilai agama islam serta kepercayaan tradisi yang diwarisi secara turun temurun oleh budaya melayu terhadap tradisi masyarakat bugis Kampung Airport Bt.10, Ladang Tun Fuad.Kata Kunci : Ritual, Mappendre Tojang, Bugis, Masyarakat

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine: (1) the forms of transformation that occur during the implementation of mappettuada in the people of Majennang Village, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency in the modernization era. (2) the impact of the transformation of the implementation of mappettuada on the people of Majennang Village, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency in the modernization era. To achieve these objectives, the researchers used data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained from the research results were processed using qualitative analysis with a descriptive-analytical approach to the transformation of the implementation of mappettuada in the people of Majennang Village, Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. Based on the results of this study, it shows that, (1) There are four forms of transformation that occur during the implementation of mappettuada, namely the exchange of rings, the presence of the prospective bride in the middle of the two family clumps, the use of master of ceremonies and communication (2) the exchange of rings at the time of implementation. mappettuada on the people of Majennang Village, Suppa Subdistrict, Pinrang Regency gave a physical and mental impact to the two prospective brides that they will not turn away from the decisions that have been taken and are ready to bear all forms of risk going forward. The impact of the presence of the prospective bride in the middle of the two family families is that the prospective bride can see the family of the prospective groom who comes to his house during the implementation of the mappettuada. The impact given from the use of the master of ceremony is that the woman must pay for the services of the master of ceremony as a guide for the implementation of the mappettuada. But on the other hand, it also has another impact, namely being able to liven up the atmosphere a little so that both families also know what the arrangement of events is during the implementation of mappettuada. The communication between the prospective groom's family and the bride's family prior to the implementation of the mappettuada had an impact where there was no longer such a thing as a rejected request or no more conflict with one of these transformations.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana Keberadaan sosok PYM Manggabarani Karaeng Manggepe Arung Matowa Wajo Ke XLIII yang menjadi warna yang berbeda pada zamannya dan sekaligus minoritas kreatif yang memberikan warna tersendiri untuk menggerakkan nilai-nilai hidup bagi masyarakat pada umumnya, dimana generasi muda terutama sekali betul-betul digerus untuk tidak lagi peduli dengan nilai-nilai luhur yang penuh dengan makna-makna transedental.. generasi dari PYM Manggabarani Karaeng Manggepe Arung Matowa Wajo Ke XLIII yang kemudian samapai saat ini menjadi orang-orang besar dan ternama, namun jelas mereka bukanlah orang-orang yang sekedar meletakkan nama besar pendahulunya dalam langkah, namun justru menjadikannya sebagai motivasi untuk menajadi generasi yang lebih kratif, nilai-nilai luhur dari para pendahulu ini sangat penting untuk dijaga dan dilestarikan karena pengaruh budaya luar yang cukup rawan dan nilai-nilai dasar yang melekat pada diri beliau dapat direfleksikan kembali dalam konteks kekinian oleh semua keluarga besar pada khsuusnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya. sehingga pewaris dari PYM Manggabarani Karaeng Manggepe Arung Matowa Wajo Ke XLIII sangat merasa bangga, namun lebih dari itu dapat mewariskan nilai-nilai dasar yang diajarkan untuk menyesuatkannya dengan kebutuhan dan tuntutan yang relevan dengan konteks kekinian
