Abstract

In addition to work motivation, the work environment must be also be considered, a good and conducive work environment will create a comfaortabel working atmosphere. The purposes of this study is to determine the independent variables that have a dominant influence on the performance of Civil Servants at Dinas Pendidikan Kepemudaan dan Olah Raga Kabupaten Badung. The sampling technique used is the cencus technique. The data analysis tool used is multiple linear regression analysis with application (SPSS) version 16.0.the regression equation of this study is Y = 4.107 + 0.568X1 + 1.125X2. The magnitude of the influence of work motivation and work environment on employee performance at Dinas Pendidikan Kepemudaan dan Olah Raga Kabupaten Badung can be seen from the R square value of 0.453. this means that 45,3% of employee performance variables can be explained by work motivation and work environment variables, while the remaining 54,7% is explained by other variables outside this study, 4). The variables that has the most dominant influence is work motivation variables. Judging from the value of the work motivation beta coefficient which is worth 0.405, it is greater than the work environment beta coefficient which is worth 0.404.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out whether or not the implementation of four-phase technique during students’ learning activities. A class of accounting class in Triatma Mulya University is participated as the participant of this research.  The required data were collected through the use of questionnaire, observation checklist, and writing test. The data from the questionnaire indicated that students had positive attitude toward the implementation of Four-Phase Technique. Four-Phase improves their motivation in learning English and this technique brings more fun to the process of learning. Moreover, it was found from observation data that the students were actively participated during Four-Phase implementation. Finally, the study proved that Four-Phase Technique improved students’ writing skill. Students’ mean score of writing  before implemented this technique was 57.20  in the beginning of the study the mean score  was 72,5 their mean scores improved from 78,94 to  84,23.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability ratios (ROA), liquidity ratios (CR), solvency ratios (DER) and activity ratios (TATO) on stock returns in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2020 period. The research sample is the financial statements of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2018-2020. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that; 1) Profitability ratio proxied by Return On Assets (ROA) partially has a significant positive effect on Stock Return. 2) The liquidity ratio as proxied by the Current Ratio (CR) partially has a positive and insignificant effect on Stock Return. 3) Solvency Ratio proxied by Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a positive and insignificant effect on Stock Return. 4) Activity ratio proxied by Total Asset Turn Over (TATO) partially has a positive and insignificant effect on Stock Return

Abstract

Some problems have emerged related to the phonological errors made by the first semester students in delivering their speaking performance. This research is intended to analyze the phonological error in the first semester students in performing self-introduction. This study used qualitative research method particularly in terms of English phonology that focus on observing and analyzing the observation of English-speaking skill. In this research, the collected data were in the form of transcripts of the video-recorded performance that performed by the subjects of research. It is concluded that most students showed several phonological errors in pronouncing some words. All students of the first semester have successfully performed their self-introduction fluently and accurately based on the basic self-introduction pattern. The result of the study showed that the emergence of various variations in the accuracy of phonology is mainly due to the previous educational background and the students’ current efforts in learning language. However, most students of first semester did phonological errors in pronouncing several words. In order to speak English fluently and accurately, it is expected that the students learn about English phonology well by considering the appropriate place of articulation and manner of articulation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of purchasing decisions on Cap Mutiara Coffee Powder in Pupuan. This study aims to analyze and prove the effect of quality, price, and promotion attributes on purchasing decisions. This study uses quantitative methods, namely, the approach used to examine a particular population or sample by analyzing quantitative data that aims to test the established hypothesis. The sample technique used is by using incidental sampling technique. The number of respondents used in this study were 90 respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software version 24 for windows. The regression equation obtained: Y = 3,682 + 0.261 + 0.287 + 0.225. The results of this study indicate that: First, product quality has a positive effect on consumer purchasing decisions for Cap Mutiara Coffee Powder in Pupuan. This is evidenced by tcount greater than ttable (2,665 > 1,987). Both prices have a positive influence on consumer purchasing decisions for Cap Mutiara Coffee Powder in Pupuan. This is evidenced by tcount greater than ttable (2,995 > 1,987). The three promotions have a positive influence on consumer purchasing decisions for Cap Mutiara Coffee Powder in Pupuan. This is evidenced by tcount greater than ttable (2,321 > 1,987).

Abstract

The condition that occurs in the classroom is that students are afraid of English. Students feel that learning English is difficult to memorize. Students have learning difficulties because the teacher does not apply a suitable learning model for students. This causes students to feel bored in learning and has an impact on students' low English skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the shadowing technique in learning English for students. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were 17 students. There are four main parts of classroom action research, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The study results are the average value, from 73.2 in the first cycle to 76.0 in the second cycle. The percentage of students who passed the KKM also increased from 59% to 78%. Listening skills improve after the application of shadowing techniques. The key is that the application of shadowing techniques can improve students' listening. This research implies that teachers can apply shadowing techniques in the classroom. The application of shadowing techniques can create a fun learning atmosphere for students to improve students' listening skills.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out whether or not the implementation of Guide Reading And Summarizing Procedure ( GRASP) improves students' reading comprehension. GRASP strategy stands for Guide, Reading, and Summarize, Procedure. GRASP strategy. Guide Reading and Summarizing Procedure is teaching strategy which enables a teacher and group of students to talk, read and explore text. A class of accounting class in Triatma Mulya University  is participated as the participant of the study. The required data were collected through the use of questionnaire, observation checklist, and reading test. The data from the questionnaire indicated that students had positive attitude toward the implementation of GRASP. They feel that GRASP improves their motivation in learning English and GRASP brings more fun to the process of learning. Moreover, it was found from observation data that the students were actively participated during GRASP implementation and they were motivated when comprehending a text by means GRASP strategy. Finally, the study proved that GRASP improved students’ reading comprehension. Students’ mean score of reading test in the beginning of the study was 50.6 meanwhile, after applying GRASP as reading strategy, their mean scores improved to 67,80.2 and 89.7

Abstract

Postulating the language as means of communication playing crucial role in our daily lives is truly indisputable. A lot of problems occurred in the field of phonology by the students in delivering their speaking performance. This research is intended to analyze the phonological error in the second semester students in performing stories in the form of speaking. The kind of this research is classified as qualitative research which focuses on analyzing students’ utterances, particularly in terms of English phonology. In this study, the data were collected in the form of video-recorded speaking performance and written transcription by the subjects of the research. Furthermore, after a careful and detailed analyzing process by the researcher, it is concluded that most students made several phonological errors in pronouncing some English words. The result of the study showed that diversity of language skills and components particularly pronunciation, fluency, and accuracy is dominantly due to the previous educational background, students’ motivation in learning, the intensity of students’ exercise, students’ current efforts in learning English, and having a grit. By having a grit, the students have passion and perseverance to train themselves in learning English and practicing the English skills for long-term.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Program pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Kapal, Badung, Bali, untuk meningkatkan employee agility di antara 11 pengrajin tembikar lokal dari bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus 2025. Kapal, yang dikenal dengan tembikar tradisionalnya yang digunakan dalam upacara keagamaan, menghadapi tantangan seperti menurunnya minat pada kerajinan tersebut, terutama di kalangan generasi muda, dan integrasi teknologi yang terbatas. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan beradaptasi, proaktivitas, dan kolaborasi untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan inovasi di pasar yang kompetitif. Menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR) pendekatan, pengrajin mengidentifikasi tantangan dan mengembangkan solusi bersama. Program ini melibatkan tiga fase: penilaian pra-tes awal, lokakarya pengembangan kapasitas tentang keterampilan teknis dan praktik bisnis, dan evaluasi pasca-tes. Lokakarya memperkenalkan alat ergonomis dan praktik bisnis modern untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan mengurangi ketegangan fisik. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam antisipasi perubahan, kolaborasi, dan kemampuan beradaptasi. Para pengrajin menjadi lebih proaktif, kolaboratif, dan responsif terhadap permintaan pasar. Hasil ini menyoroti keberhasilan program dalam meningkatkan agility, empowering craftsmen to modernize their craft and improve marketability. Keberhasilan program ini menunjukkan bahwa inisiatif serupa dapat memberdayakan industri tradisional, mendorong keberlanjutan dan inovasi. Inisiatif ini merevitalisasi kerajinan dan memberikan model yang dapat diskalakan untuk meningkatkan agility di sektor artisanal lainnya menghadapi tantangan serupa.Kata kunci: karyawan; kelincahan; tembikar; pengrajin; masyarakat. ABSTRACTA community service program was implemented in Kapal Village, Badung, Bali, to improve employee agility among 11 local pottery craftsmen from May to August 2025. Kapal, known for its traditional pottery used in religious ceremonies, faces challenges such as declining interest in the craft, especially among younger generations, and limited technological integration. The program aimed to enhance adaptability, proactivity, and collaboration to ensure sustainability and innovation in a competitive market. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, craftsmen identified challenges and co-developed solutions. The program involved three phases: an initial pre-test assessment, capacity-building workshops on technical skills and business practices, and a post-test evaluation. Workshops introduced ergonomic tools and modern business practices to improve productivity and reduce physical strain. Results showed significant improvements in anticipation of change, collaboration, and adaptability. The craftsmen became more proactive, collaborative, and responsive to market demands. These results highlight the success of the program in enhancing agility, empowering craftsmen to modernize their craft and improve marketability. The program’s success suggests that similar initiatives can empower traditional industries, fostering sustainability and innovation. This initiative revitalized the craft and provides a scalable model for enhancing agility in other artisanal sectors facing similar challenges. Keywords: employee; agility; pottery; craftsmen; community.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis experimental study aims to investigate the effect of scientific approach and achievementmotivation on the speaking competency of tenth graders of SMK Pariwisata Triatma Jaya Badungin the academic year 2019/2020. This research applied 2x2 factorial design. Sixty students wereselected as sample through random sampling. Data on students’ speaking and achievementmotivation were collected by using multiple-choice tests. The acquired data were analyzedstatistically by Two Way Analysis of Variance (Two Way ANOVA) and Tukey test to know theinteraction effect at 5% significance level. This research discovers: 1) The scientific Approachsignificantly correlates with students’ speaking competency, 2) There is a significant interactioneffect of teaching strategy and achievement motivation on students speaking competency, 3) Thescientific Approach significantly correlates with the motivation students’ speaking competency,and 4) Conventional Strategy significantly correlates with low motivation students’ speakingcompetency.Keywords: scientific approach, achievement motivation, speaking competencyABSTRAKStudi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dan motivasiberprestasi terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa kelas X SMK Pariwisata Triatma JayaBadungpada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan 2x2 faktorial. 60siswa dilibatkan sebagai sampel penelitian. Mereka dipilih dengan teknik sampling acak. Datakompetensi berbicara dan motivasi berprestasi dikumpulkan dengan tes pilihan ganda. Data yangdiperoleh dianalisis dengan Analisis Varian AB (ANAVA AB) dan uji Tukey untuk mengetahuipengaruh interaksi. Temuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Pendekatan Saintifik berpengaruh secarasignifikan terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa, (2) terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang signifikanstrategi mengajar dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa, (3) PendekatanSaintifik berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kompetensi berbicara siswa yang memilikimotivasi tinggi, dan (4) Strategi Konvensional berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadapkompetensi berbicara siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah.Kata-kata kunci: pendekatan saintifik, motivasi berprestasi, kompetensi berbicara
