Abstract

This research intends to model high-dimensional data that contains multicollinearity in four machine-learning algorithms: Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbor, XGBoost, and Regression Tree. Previously, regularization was carried out with penalized ridge regression, least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression, and Elastic Net regression. A total of 100 predictor variables and 1 response variable which are the Development Index 2022 data of 34 provinces in Indonesia from BPS were used and standardized. The simulation is also applied to highly correlated data on two distributions, uniform and normal with parameter values taken from existing empirical data. The results showed that the ridge regularization method is the best for producing accurate and stable predictions. Furthermore, there was no difference in the root mean square error (RMSE) results between the data with standardization and without standardization, wherein all the data analyzed it was found that the kNN model was better than other models on simulation data, and the Random Forest and XGBoost models were better than other models on empirical data. In addition, the Regression Tree model is not recommended according to the results of this study. Keywords: regularization, multicollinearity, ridge, LASSO, elastic netMSC2020: 62J07

Abstract

Al-Quran adalah Kitab Suci yang diturunkan oleh Allah SWT kepada nabi Muhammad SAW. Bagi umat Islam, keberadaan al-Quran mempunyai kedudukan yang sangat sentral. Mengenal dan memahami al-Quran dari segi Nahwu/Sintaksis dan Makna/Semantik merupakan fenomena yang sangat menarik. Nahwu dan Makna sangat berkaitan dengan erat. Dalam ilmu Nahwu ada pembahasan tentang Huruf Ma’ani/huruf yang mempunyai makna. Pemberian nama Huruf Ma’ani disebabkan karena huruf ini diciptakan dalam keadaan mempunyai makna yang bisa membedakan dengan Huruf Mabani (huruf yang tidak mempunyai makna). Macam-macam Huruf Ma’ani adalah huruf yang khusus masuk pada isim (jar, qasam, istitsna’/pengecualian, huruf yang serupa dengan fiil/kata kerja, mufajaah, tafshil, tanbih, tarajji, tasybih dan huruf yang serupa dengan laisa), huruf yang khusus masuk pada fiil (nashab, mashdar, jazm, syarat, tahdlidl, istiqbal, tawaqqu’, rad’, tandim, ‘ardl, taqlil dan ta’liq) dan huruf yang khusus masuk pada isim saja/fiil saja/keduanya (taukid, tamanni, shilah dan ta’lil). Tulisan ini akan membahas tentang Huruf Ma’ani yang mencakup pada ‘athaf (wau, fa’, tsumma, au, lakin al-‘athifah, bal al-‘athifah, am al-‘athifah dan hatta), jar (hatta aljarrah, min, ila, ‘ala, fi, lam, ba’, ‘an, kaf, kai al-jarrah dan mashdariyah) dan adawat syarat (in, idza, idz, laula dan lau). Obyek Tulisan ini adalah Ayat-Ayat Ahkam dalam surat al-Baqarah. Pendekatan dalam Tulisan ini adalah pendekatan teori Nahwiyah/Sintaksis (pendekatan pada analisis bahasa yang memberikan perhatian secara eksplisit kepada struktur bahasa) dan Maknawiyah/Semantik (pendekatan pada analisis bahasa yang memberikan perhatian secara eksplisit kepada makna).

Abstract

Arabic is often considered difficult by most students therefore an appropiate strategy is needed so that students do not find it difficult. In this case, the student learning strategy is one of components that must be considered carrefully by the teacher in improving student’s Arabic learning outcomes. Student learning strategies according to O’Malley and Chamot are divided in to 3 categories, namely metacognitive, cognitive, and affective social. The purpose of this research is to find out what strategies are used by student in learning, and the influence the student learning strategies on student learning outcomes of MAN 5 Kediri. This study used a quantitative method with an ex-post facto design. The population of this study was 230 students. While the number of samples is this  study were 58 students. Sampling was determined by means of Random Sampling. The results of this study reveated that the learning strategies that were mostly used by students were cognitive strategies with an average score of 57,28. While student learning outcomes belong to the medium category. The effect of metacognitive learning strategies on learning outcomes was 4,8%, the effect of cognitive learning strategies on learning outcomes was 8,3%, and the effect of affective social learning strategies on learning outcomes was 7.1%.

Abstract

Learning Arabic is a learning that most people consider difficult, because Arabic is inseparable from the science of nahwu. And the basis of nahwu knowledge that is commonly used by Islamic boarding schools is the book of Jurumiyah, because the book is considered the simplest and easiest to explain and usually the learning of the book of Jurumiyah is carried out in Islamic boarding schools but this is done in madrasas or formal institutions, and every learning must have advantages and disadvantages, one of which is in the study of the book of Jurumiyah. The formulation of this research problem is how the learning process of the book of jurumiyyah for grade 9 students at Mts Islamiyah Sukoharjo Plemahan Kediri, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of learning the book of Jurumiyah for grade 9 students at Mts Islamiyah Sukoharjo Plemahan Kediri. This study uses a qualitative research approach that is descriptive. Research Place at Madrasah Tsanawiyah, grade 9 students at Mts Islamiyah Sukoharjo Plemahan Kediri. The data sources came from the school principal, the teacher of the teacher, the Arabic teacher and the 9th grade students. The method of data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research on the study of the book of jurumiyah for grade 9 students at Mts Islamiyah Sukoharjo Plemahan Kediri have the goal of providing students with a basic understanding of the rules of nahwu used in Arabic, in the learning of the book of Jurumiyah the teacher uses the bandongan method. As for the reason for using this jurumiyah book because this book is the most famous book in all circles and the easiest for beginners or beginners, this jurumiyah learning is carried out 1 time for 1 week and has been included in the madrasah curriculum. Meanwhile, the advantages in the learning process of the book of Jurumiyah students are able to understand qowaid correctly. And the shortcomings in the learning process of the book of Jurumiyah are that the material taught focuses on qowaid so that students do not delve too deeply when learning Arabic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas V dalam menulis puisi bebas. Hal ini disebabkan guru tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang tumbuhnya ide/gagasan siswa saat menulis puisi. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, peneliti menggunakan media cerita bergambar dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskirpsikan pelaksanaan aktivitas guru, hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis puisi, dan kendala serta solusinya dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi menggunakan media cerita bergambar. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas dan dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus memiliki empat tahap yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan, tes dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap data aktivitas guru dan hasil tes belajar siswa, sedangkan catatan lapangn hanya sebagai data pendukung untuk merkam kejadian-kejadian selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pada ketercapaian aktivitas guru maupun hasil belajar siswa di siklus II. Selain itu, kendala-kendala yang muncul saat pembelajaran berlangsung juga dapat teratasi sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media cerita bergambar telah mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V. Kata Kunci: media; cerita bergambar; kemampuan menulis puisi.

Abstract

Anggota famili Leiognathidae atau Peperek termasuk dalam kategori minor commercial, berfungsi sebagai komoditas ketahanan pangan sehingga kurang mendapat perhatian untuk diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hipotesis penemuan seluruh genera dari Leiognathidae pada perairan Pantai Jawa Timur. Sampel ikan dikoleksi dari hasil tangkapan nelayan dengan alat penangkapan ikan; Jaring Tarik, Cantrang, dan Mini-Trawl dari Januari 2023 sampai Oktober 2024. Analisis genus dilakukan melalui deskripsi morfologi eksternal, morfometri, dan penyelidikan otolith. Studi otolith dilakukan melalui koleksi sagittae dari tulang telinga di belakang otak. Analisis morfometri untuk memperjelas definisi bentuk tubuh menggunakan perangkat lunak TpsDig. Total 12 variabel morfologi digunakan untuk menjelaskan masing-masing kerabat pada genus. Sementara deskripsi otolith dianalisis dengan menggunakan 15 variabel bentuk, cekungan, dan tonjolan dari otolith. Dendogram dihasilkan dari analisis morfologi dan otolith untuk memisahkan kekerabatan di antara genus. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa terdeskripsi total 10 genera dari famili Leiognathidae yaitu; Leiognathus, Aurigequula, Eubleekeria, Photopectoralis, Nuchequula, Karalla, Gazza, Deveximentum, Equulites, dan Photolateralis. Genus Gazza ditemukan pada seluruh lokasi sampling. Namun genus Karalla hanya ditemukan pada lokasi sampling di Selatan Barat Jawa Timur (Pantai Dangkal Pacitan, dan Prigi Trenggalek). Hasil analisis dendogram berhasil menempatkan Equulites satu kerabat dengan Photolateralis, namun tidak berhasil memisahkan antara Leiognathinae dengan Gazzinae. Sebaliknya, analisis menggunakan morfologi otolith tidak berhasil menempatkan Equulites satu kelompok dengan Photolateralis, namun bisa memisahkan antara sub famili Leiognathinae dengan Gazzinae. Kondisi lingkungan geografis mungkin menjadi faktor utama terjadinya adaptasi morfologi eksternal dan otolith yang berbeda. Deskripsi morfologi dan otolith bisa digunakan sebagai indikator apomorfi genus. Analisis genetik melalui DNA barcoding masih diperlukan untuk menelusuri kekerabatan diantara genus.   Members of family Leiognathidae are included in the minor commercial category, functioning as a food security commodity so that they have received less attention for research. The study aims to prove the hypothesis of the discovery of all genera of Leiognathidae within coastal waters of East Java. Fish samples were collected from the catches of fishermen using fishing gear; Beach Seine, modified Danish Seine, and Mini-Trawl, from January 2023 to October 2024. Genera analysis was carried out through external morphological descriptions, morphometry, and otolith investigations. Otoliths were collection of sagittae from the ear bones behind the brain. Morphometric analysis to clarify the definition of body shape were using TpsDig software. A total of 12 morphological variables were used to describe each genus within family. While the otolith description was analyzed using 15 variables of shape, depression, and protrusion of the otolith. Each dendrogram was generated from morphological and otolith analysis to separate the clade among genera. The results of the analysis proved that all 10 genera of Leiognathidae were described, consisting of: Leiognathus, Aurigequula, Eubleekeria, Photopectoralis, Nuchequula, Karalla, Gazza, Deveximentum, Equulites, and Photolateralis. The genus Gazza was found in all sampling locations. However, the genus Karalla was only described in two sampling locations in Southwest of East Java (Pantai Dangkal Pacitan, and Prigi Trenggalek). The results of dendogram analysis succeeded in placing Equulites in the same clade as Photolateralis, but failed to separate Leiognathinae from Gazzinae. On the other hand, the analysis using otolith morphology failed to place Equulites in the same group as Photolateralis, but could separate Leiognathinae from Gazzinae. Geographical barriers and environmental factors might be the main factor in the occurrence of different morphological and otolith adaptations. Genera can be distinguished through external morphology and otolith description. Genetic analysis through DNA barcoding is still needed to trace the lineage among genera of Leiognathidae.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) merupakan sektor penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, yang dijalankan oleh individu, kelompok, maupun badan usaha kecil dan rumah tangga. Peran UMKM semakin strategis seiring dengan meningkatnya kualitas dan kuantitasnya, didukung oleh berbagai program pemerintah untuk memperkuat ketahanan ekonomi nasional. Salah satu upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat yang saat ini dikembangkan adalah digitalisasi UMKM, yang difokuskan pada pemetaan lokasi UMKM melalui Google Maps. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan pendampingan, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan visibilitas UMKM agar lebih mudah ditemukan oleh konsumen maupun calon konsumen. Program ini diharapkan mampu mendukung transformasi digital UMKM secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Menulis teks deskripsi merupakan salah satu kompetensi dasar yang sangat penting untuk diajarkan dan dikuasai oleh peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, penulis menerapkan teknik pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi dengan teknik ATK (Amati-Tiru-Kembangkan) yang diadopsi dari teori copy the master. Best practise ini merupakan laporan pengalaman penulis dalam proses pembelajaran menulis teks deskripsi yang melibatkan 36 siswa kelas X-7. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Teknik ATK (Amati -Tiru- Kembangkan) memberikan kontribusi yang baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis teks deskripsi di MAN 1 Pasuruan. Dari 36 peserta didik, 8 diantaranya (25%) mendapatkan kategori sangat baik. Sementara 26 lainnya (71%) masuk dalam kategori baik dan 2 peserta didik (4%) dengan kategori cukup baik. Secara umum peserta didik dikategorikan telah mampu menulis teks deskripsi dengan tepat. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat berdasarkan aspek isi, struktur teks,unsur kebahasaan, penguasaan kosa kata serta mekanik dari teks yang dihasilkan. Terdapat beberapa kekurangan dan kelemahan dalam proses penulisan teks deskripsi yaitu pada koherensi dan penggunaan unsur kebahasaan. Kata Kunci: Teks Deskripsi, Teknik ATK (Amati-Tiru-Kembangkan) Abstract Writing descriptive text is one of the most important basic competencies to be taught and mastered by students in English subjects in senior high schools. In connection with this, the authors apply learning techniques to write descriptive texts with the ATK (Observe-Imitate-Develop) technique adopted from the copy the master theory. This best practice is a report on the author's experience in the process of learning to write descriptive text involving 36 students of class X-7. The results obtained show that the use of the ATK technique (Observe -Imitate-Develop) makes a good contribution in improving students' ability to write descriptive texts at MAN 1 Pasuruan. Of the 36 students, 8 of them (25%) got the very good category. Meanwhile, 26 students (71%) were in the good category and 2 students (4%) were in the fairly good category. In general, students are categorized as having been able to write descriptive text appropriately. This can be seen based on aspects of content, text structure, linguistic elements, vocabulary mastery and the mechanics of the resulting text. There are several shortcomings and weaknesses in the process of writing descriptive text, namely in the coherence and use of linguistic elements.
