Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Indonesian language contextual learning model in writing e-book based reviews in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis and to obtain an overview of the influence of the Indonesian language contextual learning model in writing e-book based reviews in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis This research was carried out on May 29 2024 at SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The approach taken in this research is quantitative. The sample technique is taken 20% of the total population. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results found in this research are that there is a significant influence between the Indonesian contextual learning model in writing e-book based reviews in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The results of the research show that if you look at the accumulated data in table 21, there are respondents in the strongly agree category with a score of 412, respondents in the agree category with a score of 579, respondents in the disagree category with a score of 196 and respondents in the disagree category with a score of 11 so that it can be drawn. The conclusion is that students generally admit that they have the ability to write e-book based reviews using the contextual learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the INLISLite application in library management at the Library and Archives Office of Aceh Tamiang Regency. INLISLite is library automation software developed by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas) to support the transformation of libraries towards digitalization. Although the Library and Archives Office of Aceh Tamiang Regency has implemented INLISLite, observations reveal that many library users have not yet optimally utilized this system. Instead, they often search for information manually or directly ask librarians, leading to inefficient search times and negatively impacting library performance. Additionally, this study identifies challenges in the implementation of INLISLite, such as limited computer facilities and the lack of backup power, which hinder system operations during power outages. This research provides insights into the strategies used by the library to optimize the use of INLISLite and identifies the challenges faced in the implementation of library automation systems at the regional level.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Influence Pop Up Book on Beginning Reading Ability in Elementary School Age Students”. This research was conducted to determine the effect of pop up book on the initial reading ability of elementary school age students. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental research design with non equivalent control group design. The population in this study were class I MIN 2 South Labuhanbatu students. The samples in this research were taken using techniques purposive sampling as many as two classes, namely class I-A with 26 students, are taught using media pop up book as an experimental class while class I-B with 26 students was taught using conventional learning as a control class. The data was analyzed using a normality test, a homogeneity test to determine whether the data for the two samples were normally and homogeneously distributed, then a t test to determine the effect of learning media on students' initial reading ability with the help of the SPSS 20 application. The results of data analysis showed that the sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating that there is an influence pop up book on the initial reading ability of elementary school age students in class I MIN 2 South Labuhanbatu.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Development of Mini Book Media to Improve Reading Ability in Indonesian Language Subjects in Class V" which is based on initial observations that there are class V students at SDS Prguruan Kebangsaan Medan who experience difficulties in reading. This research aims to develop and evaluate learning media in the form of mini books to improve the reading skills of class V students. The method used is research and development with 4D model design through the stages of definition, design, development and distribution. The results of the research show that the mini book media is very valid, practical and effective in improving reading skills with good quality and is suitable for learning in class V. It is recommended that this mini book media can be used by teachers to improve reading skills in Indonesian language subjects in class V.

Abstract

Kesulitan siswa dalam menghasilkan dan mengembangkan ide, serta mengungkapkan pikiran, gagasan, perasaan, dan fantasi yang diungkapkan dalam puisi. Berdampak terhadap kurang optimalnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis puisi. Perlu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis puisi sebelum menggunakan media podcast. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X yang terdiri atas sebelas kelas. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar peserta didik adalah tes menulis puisi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat analisis yaitu mencari normalitas dan homogenitas, serta uji hipotesis menggunakan rumus Independent Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis puisi setelah menggunakan media podcast dengan dapat tergolong baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Podcast berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai contoh dan dikembangkan menjadi media yang lebih bermanfaat untuk menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang bermakna.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait pemanfaatan TikTok sebagai sarana promosi di perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Sumut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan TikTok sebagai sarana promosi di perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Sumut. Metode ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data adalah survey, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan transkip data hasil wawancara, reduksi data dana analisis data untuk menarik kesimpulan. Teknik penguji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi yakni, triangulasi data, teori, dan metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perpustakaan telah memanfaatkan TikTok sebagai sarana promosi dengan baik. Konten yang di promosikan berupa informasi dengan kegiatan terkait perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Sumut. Kendala yang dihadapi perpustakaan Bank Indonesia Sumut dalam pemanfaatan TikTok sebagai sarana promosi adalah terkait kurangnya SDM di bidang desain konten grafis dan reels video untuk mengoptimalkan kegiatan promosi perpustakaan serta ketidak konsistenan jadwal untuk memposting ke TikTok.

Abstract

This research, titled "Analysis of Role-Playing Strategies on Students' Speaking Skills in Grade XI of Madrasah Aliyah Ponpes Tahfidz Al-Faiz Tembung," is motivated by the students' learning outcomes that show limitations in speaking skills in Indonesian language subjects. Learning activities that take place in the classroom are often limited to listening and lecturing activities, even though the curriculum demands that students have higher-order thinking (HOT) skills such as analysis and discussion. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with research subjects consisting of teachers and students. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research aims to analyze: (1) the implementation of role-playing strategies in improving students' speaking skills, (2) the assessment of Indonesian language learning outcomes using this strategy, and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors in using role-playing strategies. The results of the research show that the implementation of learning with role-playing strategies successfully increased students' competence and learning activity, especially in channeling ideas and opinions. The main supporting factors include teacher involvement, students' mastery of the material, and the use of relevant textbooks, including drama scripts and performance videos. Conversely, the inhibiting factors are students' shyness when role-playing and lack of mastery of the material. Based on the findings of this research, role-playing strategies are suitable to be implemented by teachers as a solution to improve the quality of learning in Indonesian language subjects.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to write short stories in students, which is thought to be caused by the use of learning methods and media that are less varied and have not been able to stimulate students' imagination and creativity optimally. To overcome this problem, the application of innovative learning strategies is needed, one of which is the use of storyboard techniques. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of storyboard techniques on the ability to write short stories of class X students of SMK Tritech Informatika Medan. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample in this study amounted to 42 students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group who were given treatment using the storyboard technique and the control group who used conventional methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, short story writing tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests (independent samples t-test). The results showed that there was a significant difference between the posttest scores of the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group experienced an average score increase of 18.81 points, while the control group only increased by 9.76 points. The t-test results showed a t-value of 2.677 and a significance level of p = 0.011 (p < 0.05), indicating that the storyboard technique had a significant effect on students' short story writing skills. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the storyboard technique is effective in improving students' creative writing skills. The implication of this finding is that the storyboard technique can be used as an alternative, creative and innovative learning strategy in writing instruction at the Vocational High School (SMK) level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif guna meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerita fantasi siswa kelas VII di MTsN 2 Deli Serdang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya minat dan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis, serta terbatasnya penggunaan media yang menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Subjek uji coba melibatkan ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli media, guru serta peserta didik kelas VII yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 32 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket validasi ahli, serta tes keterampilan menulis. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa (1) media wordwall yang dikembangkan tergolong sangat valid dan layak berdasarkan penilaian para ahli yang memperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 96,66%; (2) Hasil klasifikasi N-Gain menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kelas kontrol memperoleh rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,2574 atau 25,74% dengan kategori rendah, sementara kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,7269 atau 72,69% dengan kategori tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media wordwall berbasis gamifikasi cukup efektif; (3) Hasil angket kepraktisan menunjukkan bahwa media wordwall memperoleh persentase kepraktisan sebesar 98% dari guru dan 84,6% dari siswa, yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa media tersebut menarik, mudah digunakan, dan efektif dalam mendukung pembelajaran menulis teks cerita fantasi.

Abstract

This study is entitled “Development of Pop Up Book Media Based on Tanjungbalai Folktales to Improve Reading Comprehension Skills of 4th Grade Elementary School Students.” The study aims to design and develop Pop Up Book media based on Tanjungbalai folktales and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing the reading comprehension skills of 4th-grade students. The theoretical foundation emphasizes the importance of using engaging and contextual visual media to support students’ reading comprehension. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, validation questionnaires from material experts, media experts, and language experts, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that the Pop Up Book media was assessed as “very valid” by three validators, with an average score of 89.68%. Meanwhile, feedback from educators and students categorized the media as “very practical,” with an average score of 96.48%. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an increase in students’ reading comprehension skills, with an N-Gain score of 0.93. It is recommended that teachers use Pop Up Book media as an engaging and contextual learning alternative. Future researchers are encouraged to develop similar media using folktales from other regions.
