Abstract

This research implements a posttest-only control group experimental design to examine the impact of a GeoGebra-integrated e-module on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. A sample of 68 eighth-grade learners at SMP Negeri 57 Palembang participated in the study, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group utilized an interactive e-module featuring GeoGebra software integration, while the control group received conventional instruction. The results showed that students who used the e-module achieved significantly better outcomes in problem recognition, strategy development, implementation of solutions, and outcome assessment. The mean posttest results obtained by the experimental group were higher than those of the control group. A t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Based on statistical analysis, integrating GeoGebra within a structured digital module demonstrates potential to strengthen students' conceptual understanding, engagement, and problem-solving skills, especially in learning straight-line equations. Furthermore, the approach promotes higher-order thinking and learner autonomy, offering a promising strategy for improving mathematics instruction at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The memorization and understanding of the Qur'an play a vital role in shaping a Qur'anic generation. This study aims to explore the memorization patterns in the Tahfidz and Tarjamah Qur'an programs at Darul Hufadz Islamic Senior High School. Using a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation from 38 informants, including the principal, five mentor teachers, and 32 students. Data analysis followed a process of reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that the Tahfidzul Qur'an program follows a daily memorization pattern known as "One Day One Verse," where students memorize one verse and its translation each day. The program emphasizes regular recitation, memorization, comprehension, and the practical application of the Qur'an's teachings, with parental oversight. Collaborative reading sessions between teachers and students, coupled with repetition—where verses are repeated over 40 times and listened to more than 60 times—reinforce the memorization process. This structured approach effectively cultivates a Qur'anic generation, ensuring deep engagement with the Qur'an. The study highlights the importance of consistent memorization routines and active teacher involvement in fostering both cognitive and spiritual development among students.

Abstract

There are still many students who are afraid or even have difficulty understanding mathematics. One of them is the set material, this certainly influences the learning outcomes. Therefore, something interesting is needed to make students more interested and understand the material better. For this reason, researchers are interested in conducting research using interactive ppt with classpoints in the set material. The purpose of this research is to determine student learning outcomes before and after using interactive ppt. This type of research is an experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 17 Palembang in March 2024 involving class VII 6 students. The data collection technique used pretest and posttest. Data analysis uses hypothesis testing and homogeneity testing. The results of the hypothesis test obtained a value of 21 > 2.262, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. And the results of the homogeneity test are 1.446 < 3.178 which shows that the data the researcher has is homogeneous. The results of the research show that interactive ppt with classpoint can help students increase their enthusiasm for learning, be active, and improve their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Math is considered a scary subject for most students which makes them unprepared to learn, one of which is on the material of flat-sided spaces which in this case can have a negative impact on the quality of learning. For this reason, it is necessary to have an activity that can encourage students to pay more attention and be able to understand the material more thoroughly. This opens up opportunities for researchers to conduct research using teaching materials in the form of learning videos assisted by Geogebra software and then given a test to see the effectiveness of the media used. This study aims to describe innovative learning strategies using YouTube and Geogebra learning videos in learning flat-sided space building material for junior high school students. This learning method is designed to improve understanding of geometry concepts and facilitate student engagement through visual and interactive approaches. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method, where data were collected through tests using teaching materials. The data processing technique obtained was by using Microsoft Excel. This research was conducted in one of the public junior high schools in Palembang in April 2024 involving students of grade VIII. The results showed that the success rate of the implemented learning strategy was satisfactory as evidenced by the evaluation of learning through Google Form with a high percentage of student learning outcomes, namely 78.18182% on multiple choice indicators and 75.75758% on essay indicators, which means overall success.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan dari alat peraga MOBILBUT (Musi Operasi Bilangan Bulat). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari tiga siswa kelas VII. A MTs Hidayatul Islamiah dan tiga validator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Namun, penelitian ini hanya dibatasi hingga tahap Development. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi dan angket tahap one to one, dengan hasil validasi mencapai skor 83,9  dan angket 83,3%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga efektif dalam memberikan pemahaman visual dan kreatif serta mengintegrasikan konsep etnomatematika, sehingga dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

This research investigates the efficacy of combining Augmented Reality (AR) technology with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) methodology in developing students' mathematical problem-solving capabilities. The investigation examines how the AR-RME integration functions as a potential educational innovation for boosting learner involvement and conceptual comprehension. This research employs a combined design incorporating numerical and descriptive-analytical frameworks. A cohort of 17 secondary school adolescents engaged in AR-RME-facilitated learning across five instructional sessions. Evaluation of participants' problem-solving proficiency was conducted through comparative pre-intervention and post-intervention assessments based on Polya's four-stage methodology: issue identification, procedural planning, implementation of strategies, and outcomes evaluation. Systematic observations were conducted to evaluate student engagement levels. The results of the observations showed the enthusiasm and active participation of the students during the learning. Statistical analysis using paired t-tests revealed a significant improvement in problem-solving skills (t = 8.742, p < 0.05), with the average score increasing to 74.81%. These findings show that AR-RME effectively improves spatial reasoning and understanding of three-dimensional geometry concepts, especially on cubes and blocks. This study confirms that AR-RME is an innovative approach that enhances problem-solving skills and becomes a more interactive and effective learning alternative to conventional methods.

Abstract

Developing PISA like mathematics problems using daily life context helps to improve the quality of learning. This study aimed to generate a valid, practical, and having potential effects on mathematics literacy ability PISA like mathematics problems with the context of sailing in the 2018 Asian Games. This research involved three expert reviews and 32 fifteen-years-old tenth-grade students of SMA N 10 Palembang, a public senior high school in Palembang Indonesia, as the research subjects. This study used the design research method of development studies type. The data were collected through documentation, walkthrough, tests, and interviews. The problem developed in this study is related to the length of wood required to span the sail. The results show that the problems are valid. The validity was viewed from its compatibility with the PISA framework, in which it had related the problems with daily life context of sailing in the 2018 Asian Games and space and shape content. The problems are also practical, viewed from students' understanding of the problem. And, the problems have potential effects when tested in learning issue of mathematical literacy ability. The dominant ability is reasoning and representation ability, while the communication ability is still low because the students do not give detailed answers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis Wordwall tehadap minat literasi dan motivasi belajar siswa SMP dalam mata pelajaran matematika pada materi himpunan. Penelitian yang di gunakan merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas VIII.5 SMP 40 PALEMBANG. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif guna melihat minat siswa dalam literasi matematika dan motivasi belajar mereka. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa minat literasi 86% dan motivasi belajar siswa 84% pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media Wordwall terkategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah untuk guru matematika di Kota Palembang. Pelaksanaan pelatihan berupa pendampingan kepada guru matematika untuk membuat karya tulis ilmiah. Kegiatan ini melalui empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dari 3 Mei 2020-17 Juni 2020 secara daring menggunakan aplikasi whatsapp dan zoom meeting dengan 2 kali pelatihan dan 4 kali FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan yaitu 25 orang guru matematika di Kota Palembang yang terdiri dari 10 orang guru matematika SMP/MTs dan 15 orang guru matematika SMA/MA. Peserta pelatihan diberikan materi Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan tata cara penulisan artikel jurnal. Peserta dibimbing cara membuat artikel mulai dari judul, pendahuluan, metode, hasil, kesimpulan, daftar pustaka menggunakan reference manager, cek plagiat, membuat akun penulis jurnal, dan mengirimkan artikel yang sudah siap diterbitkan. Hasil pelatihan terkumpul 22 artikel yang sudah dikirim ke beberapa jurnal pendidikan matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) dengan mengintegrasikan motif Songket Palembang pada materi pencerminan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang mencakup tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 26 siswa kelas IX SMP Islam Az-Zahrah 2 Palembang. Hasil validasi oleh ahli menunjukkan LKPD memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dengan skor aspek materi 90,9%, media 100%, dan bahasa 93,3%. Uji kepraktisan menunjukkan respon positif sebesar 96,7% pada tahap uji coba terbatas dan mencapai 100% pada tahap implementasi penuh. Pengukuran efektivitas LKPD menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan capaian tertinggi pada indikator mengajukan dugaan (94,23%), disusul oleh menyajikan pernyataan matematis (88,46%), dan perhitungan prosedural (80,77%). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi konteks budaya lokal, seperti motif Songket Palembang, efektif mendukung pembelajaran kontekstual dan bermakna. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal yang mendukung pembelajaran matematika kontekstual serta meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi geometri transformasi.
