Abstract

Edutourim is a program that combines elements of tourist activities with education. Edutourim is expected to be a means to preserve the culture values and??introduce the history and culture of Indonesia. This is because the phenomena in the younger generation who are no longer interested in studying history. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan, Universitas Pelita Harapan develop educational travel programs that cater for students of junior high schools to develop interest in learning history. Students of SMP Negeri 2 Kelapa Dua, Tangerang selected to attend this edutourism program by visiting Monumen Nasional and Museum Sejarah Jakarta. This program was conducted on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 with total participants were 20 students and two teachers. Edutourism program led by lecturer and guided by students of Travel Industry Management. The students and the team from Travel Industry Management were very enthusiastic during the edutourism. Benefits derived by the students through these program are (1) to increase the understanding about historical sites in Jakarta; (2) to increase the knowledeg about historical sites in Jakarta; and (3) to develop the partnership between the SMP Negeri 2 Kelapa Dua, Tangerang and Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Abstract

Kue tradisional Indonesia memiliki cita rasa yang sangat unik, salah satunya adalah klepon. Klepon adalah kue tradisional yang unik karena kombinasi warna hijau dan putih yang berasal dari adonan dan parutan kelapa. Klepon juga dapat dibuat dari bahan lain yang mudah didapat oleh masyarakat, misalnya talas, singkong, dan pisang. Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan mengembangkan program pelatihan tentang kreasi klepon di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Kelas IIA Tangerang. Program ini dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa dan Rabu 19-20 Juli 2016 dengan jumlah peserta 70 peserta. Program pelatihan dipimpin oleh dosen dan dibantu oleh mahasiswa program studi Manajemen Perhotelan. Pelaksanaan program pelatihan berjalan dengan sangat baik. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah presentasi, demonstrasi dan praktik. Manfaat yang diperoleh oleh peserta melalui program ini adalah (1) mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kue tradisional Indonesia, (2) mengembangkan keterampilan tentang kreasi kue tradisional, khususnya klepon, dan (3) mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan. Program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan kemandirian dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup bagi warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Wanita Kelas IIA Tangerang.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in March 2020 resulted in a drastic decrease in the occupancy rate of Allium Tangerang Hotel. In April 2020, the room occupancy rate has dropped dramatically. This resulted in the Allium Tangerang Hotel being closed throughout May 2020. Allium Tangerang Hotel is trying to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic. The research objectives were to (1) describe the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Allium Tangerang Hotel, and (2) analyze the adaptation strategy of Allium Tangerang Hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative. The data sources were selected using purposive sampling method. The selected informants were General Manager of Allium Tangerang Hotel, Human Resources Department Manager of Allium Tangerang Hotel, Front Office Manager of Allium Tangerang Hotel, and Front Office Supervisor of Allium Tangerang Hotel. The data analysis technique used in this research is interactive analysis. The findings of the research show that the COVID-19 Allium Tangerang Hotel pandemic must close the hotel operations as a whole which affects labor policies. The strategy used by Allium Tangerang Hotel is downsizing. Allium Tangerang Hotel management has developed a confronting style in supporting adaptation strategies to face the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of this study can encourage the management of Allium Tangerang Hotel for planning in facing crises, especially in the hotel industry for business sustainability.

Abstract

Bintan Regency is one of the districts in the Riau Islands which relies on the tourism sector as the main sector. The geographical position close to Singapore is a force in capturing foreign tourists. This has resulted in an increase in the number of tourist visits, especially foreign tourists. Bintan Regency is rich in natural and cultural tourism but is still lacking for man-made tourism. Diversity of tourist attraction can be a reason for tourists to extend their length of stay. This raises opportunities to open a water park business. The purpose of this paper is to examine business feasibility by analyzing market aspects market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management and organizational aspects, and financial aspects of the water park business. The research method used is descriptive research method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 222 respondents using convenience sampling, observation, and interview techniques. The analytical method carried out consists of several aspects, i.e. market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management and organizational aspects, and financial aspects. Based on the results of the analysis of the four aspects, the water park business plan is feasible.Bahasa Indonesia Abstrak: Kabupaten Bintan adalah merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Kepulauan Riau yang mengandalkan sektor pariwisata sebagai sektor utama. Posisi geografis yang dekat dengan Singapura menjadi kekuatan dalam menjaring wisatawan mancanegara. Hal ini berdampak pada peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, khususnya wisatawan mancanegara. Kabupaten Bintan kaya akan wisata alam dan budaya namun masih kurang untuk wisata buatan. Keanekaragaman daya tarik wisata dapat menjadi alasan wisatawan untuk memperpanjang lama tinggalnya. Ini memunculkan peluang untuk membuka bisnis water park. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk menguji kelayakan bisnis dengan menganalisis aspek pasar dan pemasaran, aspek teknis, aspek manajemen dan organisasi, serta aspek finansial dari bisnis water park. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran kuesioner kepada 222 responden menggunakan teknik convenience sampling, observasi, dan wawancara. Metode analisis yang dilakukan terdiri dari beberapa aspek, yaitu aspek pasar dan pemasaran, aspek teknis, aspek manajemen dan organisasi, dan aspek finansial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap keempat aspek maka rencana bisnis water park ini layak untuk dijalankan.

Abstract

The introduction of tourism development at the Junior High School level is indispensable. This is because the workforce in the tourism industry is dominated by education graduates up to Junior High School. By providing knowledge about tourism from an early age, it is hoped that it can produce competent and competitive human resourcesThe partner of this activity is SMP Negeri 2 Kelapa Dua Tangerang. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' knowledge about tourism in Indonesia and profession in travel industry. The method is carried out in several stages starting with surveys, coordination with partners, preparation of materials, implementation, and evaluation. This activity was attended by participants as many as 50 students. The results of this activity can be declared successful. This can be seen from (1) the level of attendance of the participants (2) the level of understanding of the participants, and (3) the realization of cooperation. The implication of this activity is to increase students' knowledge about tourism and to understand the profession in the tourism travel industry.

Abstract

Start-ups are companies that focus on problem solving through innovation. Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) are one of the development methods used to achieve growth. People who work in start-ups do so because they want to be part of a business that is entrepreneurial. When this is acquired, it may conflict with the preferences held. The purpose of this article is to assess the efficacy of start-up acquisition as a strategy, the relationship between psychological ownership and employee retention, and the human resource model for the integration stage in the context of M&A transactions. This systematic review demonstrates that each chosen recruitment strategy has its own set of challenges, requiring each organization to assess its own strengths and weaknesses. Psychological ownership is positively related to employee retention in the company which is obtained through direct and mediating effects of employee commitment and involvement. The integration stage as the most complex stage and determines the success of mergers and acquisitions needs attention for organizations engaged in the start-up sector.

Abstract

Lokasi Tangerang Selatan yang strategis menciptakan peluang untuk mengembangkan daya tarik wisata yang lebih inovatif, termasuk taman rekreasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berusaha untuk memahami minat wisatawan lokal terhadap taman rekreasi di Tangerang Selatan. Data dikumpulkan dari responden menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik sampling yang akan digunakan oleh penulis adalah nonprobability sampling dengan jenis convenience sampling. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 300 responden. Metode analisis data adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wisatawan memiliki minat yang cukup tinggi terhadap taman rekreasi yang memiliki unsur edukasi sebagai pilihan berwisata. Taman rekreasi yang berbasis teknologi dan memiliki fasilitas yang lengkap juga memegang peran besar dalam meningkatkan pengalaman berwisata. Penelitian ini meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pengalaman berwisata di taman rekreasi, potensi bisnis taman rekreasi di masa depan, dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pariwisata di Tangerang Selatan, Provinsi Banten.

Abstract

Abstract Destination is an important element in tourism. The Ministry of Tourism has designed the Destination Management Organization (DMO) and formulate reference practical action by promoting the Integrated Quality Management for each destination. Success or failure of a DMO is closely connected with the development objectives, one of which is the realization of empowerment, participation and welfare, preservation of natural and cultural environment and of course the benefits for tourists. The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with STPPH conducted monitoring and evaluation (Monev) of DMO to implement Community Service (PkM). This is a descriptive study and method used is questionnaire, interview with respondents and the stakeholders as well as site visit. The results show that each destination has not been uniform in the achievement stages stipulated by the Ministry of Tourism and is still a destination that should intensify a strengthening phase collective consciousness movement of stakeholders and development of destination management.Keywords:  monitoring, evaluation, DMOAbstrak Destinasi pariwisata merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam pariwisata. Kementerian Pariwisata telah mendesain Destination Management Organization (DMO) dan merumuskan acuan tindakan praktis dengan mengedepankan Manajemen Mutu Terpadu bagi setiap destinasi pariwisata. Berhasil atau tidaknya suatu DMO sangat berhubungan dengan tujuan pengembangannya, dimana salah satunya adalah terwujudnya pemberdayaan, partisipasi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, kelestarian lingkungan alam maupun budaya dan tentu saja manfaat bagi wisatawan. Kementerian Pariwisata bekerja sama dengan STPPH melakukan kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi (Monev) DMO yang dapat menjadi sarana bagi STPPH untuk melaksanakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). Studi yang dilakukan adalah deskriptif dan metode pelaksanaan Monev dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner, wawancara dengan responden dan para pelaku pariwisata serta tinjauan lapangan. Hasil Monev menunjukkan bahwa setiap destinasi belum seragam dalam pencapaian tahapan yang ditetapkan oleh Kementrian Pariwisata dan masih terdapat destinasi yang harus menggiatkan tahapan penguatan gerakan kesadaran kolektif stakeholder dan pengembangan manajemen destinasi. Kata kunci: monitoring, evaluasi, DMO
