Abstract

The development of information technology encourages universities to utilize websites as a medium for communication and information delivery to students. Campus websites are expected to provide academic and administrative information quickly, easily accessible, and support communication between institutions and students. This study aims to measure the level of communication effectiveness of the IAITFDumai.ac.id website as an information medium for students of the Tafaqquh Fiddin Dumai Islamic Institute. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The research sample uses the Slovin formula so that 85 respondents are obtained who are active students. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires with a Likert scale and documentation studies. Data collection was carried out from October to December 2025. Measurement of website communication effectiveness uses six indicators according to Kriyantono, namely content quality, ease of navigation, design and appearance, access speed, interactivity, and availability of online services. The results show that the effectiveness of website communication obtained a value of 80% which is included in the effective category. This study recommends increasing information updates and developing interactivity features so that the website can function more optimally as an information medium for students.

Abstract

The socialization and workshop on botanical pesticide made from sungkai leaves (Peronema canescens) in Dusun I Teratak, Sipungguk Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency, aimed to reduce farmers’ dependence on chemical pesticides that negatively impact the environment and human health. Sungkai leaves were chosen for their bioactive compounds, such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids, which effectively kill, repel, and inhibit pest development. The activity involved 22 farmers, the Head of BPP, and agricultural extension staff, and was conducted through material presentations, booklet distribution, Q&A sessions, and hands-on production of botanical pesticides. The results showed high community enthusiasm, with participants finding the method practical, eco friendly, and potentially a new business opportunity. This training not only improved technical skills but also raised awareness of sustainable agriculture based on locally available resources that are safe for humans and the environment.

Abstract

QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) is a QR code standardization from Bank Indonesia used for digital payments in Indonesia. QRIS unifies various digital payment methods—so with just one QR code, all digital wallet applications or mobile banking can be used to pay. In the economic aspect, the problem is that most MSMEs in the Lereng villages currently still use cash payments. The people of the Lereng Village are not yet familiar with digital payment systems such as QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). Answering this problem, this community service program aims to increase public understanding, especially MSMEs (Mikro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), of digital payment systems such as QRIS. With the socialization and education about QRIS, the community is expected to be able to utilize digital technology to support the efficiency and progress of their businesses. The implementation method applied includes socialization by explaining directly and implementing it for MSME business actors. The results of these activities, the community gains knowledge and understanding of digital payment systems as an alternative for fast, safe, and efficient transactions. Thus, the introduction of QRIS can encourage business actors to start adapting to technological developments, thereby increasing competitiveness and expanding the marketing reach of their businesses.

Abstract

Program Sekolah Siaga is a promotive and preventive intervention implemented at SDN 005 Bukit Timah, aimed at improving knowledge, fostering Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB), and strengthening the role of the School Health Unit (SHU). The program consisted of CHLB education, basic health screening (height, weight, oral and dental hygiene, and general health status), SHU cadre empowerment, and group tooth-brushing practice. Evaluation of 181 students showed improved understanding of CHLB, with an average correct response rate of 80.11%, alongside high enthusiasm during hygiene activities. Health screening identified cases of undernutrition, dental caries, and poor oral hygiene; among 65 respondents, 50% were categorized as severely malnourished. This program effectively enhanced teacher and student engagement and has potential as a sustainable model for school health promotion.

Abstract

The low reading interest among children in Pulau Terap Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency is caused by limited competence of library managers, minimal community participation, and lack of adequate programs and facilities. This activity aims to optimize Perpustakaan Cerdas Abadi services through community empowerment to improve children's literacy. Qualitative methods were used through observation, interviews with library managers, community leaders, parents, children, and activity documentation. Empowerment was conducted in stages including community awareness, manager capacity training, and literacy program implementation. Three innovative programs were implemented: "Read Aloud", "Literacy Visits" to five schools, and "National Children's Day Commemoration" with educational competitions. The program involved collaboration between village government, community leaders, and parents. Results showed increased children's enthusiasm and participation, community awareness about literacy importance, increased library visits, and strengthened community social bonds through sustainable literacy programs.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major global health problem, with Indonesia ranking second among countries with the highest TB burden worldwide. Family members of TB patients are at high risk of infection; however, preventive behaviors remain inadequate, highlighting the need for innovative family nursing education. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of a family nursing-based TB educational video in improving knowledge, attitudes, and TB preventive practices among family members of TB patients at Siulak Gedang Primary Health Center. A quasi-experimental study with a two-group pretest–posttest control design was conducted in April 2026. Twenty-eight respondents were recruited using consecutive sampling and assigned to either the intervention group (three-episode TB educational video) or the control group (conventional education). Data were analyzed using paired t-test, independent t-test, and Mann–Whitney test. The intervention group showed significant improvements in knowledge (Δ = +3.43; p < 0.001), attitudes (Δ = +4.36; p = 0.001), and TB preventive practices (Δ = +3.07; p = 0.013). Between-group analysis demonstrated significant differences in knowledge (p < 0.001) and attitudes (p = 0.003), but not in preventive practices (p = 0.225). Family nursing-based TB educational videos effectively improved knowledge and attitudes and have the potential to serve as a technology-based community nursing intervention in primary healthcare settings.

Abstract

Stunting remains a critical public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in underdeveloped areas such as Bengkalis District. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies—specifically the implementation of the e-HDW (Human Development Worker) application—in reducing stunting prevalence, grounded in the Diffusion of Innovation theory and Health Belief Model to understand technology adoption and behavior change processes. This research applied a descriptive qualitative case study approach involving structured questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Informants included local government officials, healthcare workers, and Human Development Cadres (KPM). The main outcome measured was the effectiveness of the e-HDW communication tool in increasing knowledge and adoption of stunting prevention behavior at the community level. The results indicate that the e-HDW application facilitated real-time nutrition monitoring and enhanced cross-sector collaboration, contributing to a measurable decline in stunting prevalence from 21.9% (2021) to 12.6% (2024). This supports previous findings that digital health interventions can significantly improve public health outcomes when combined with community-based communication strategies. The findings align with the theoretical framework, showing that communication agents like KPM accelerated technology adoption and behavior change. In conclusion, the e-HDW app is not merely a technical tool but an effective communication platform that fosters awareness, behavioral change, and inter-agency coordination. This study highlights the strategic role of communication technology in public health interventions and suggests replicability for similar contexts across Indonesia.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat yang memerlukan penanganan komprehensif, terutama terkait rendahnya keteraturan pengobatan pasien. Peran Pengawas Menelan Obat (PMO) menjadi kunci dalam memastikan kepatuhan pasien menjalani terapi OAT (Obat Anti Tuberkulosis) secara teratur. Namun, pemahaman dan keterampilan PMO di masyarakat sering kali belum optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas PMO melalui pemberian edukasi kesehatan yang Metode kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, simulasi pendampingan, serta pemberian leaflet untuk memperkuat pemahaman peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan PMO mengenai pentingnya keteraturan minum obat, dan teknik pemantauan kepatuhan. Selain itu, peserta melaporkan peningkatan kesiapan dalam menjalankan peran pendampingan kepada pasien TB di komunitas. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi kesehatan berperan penting dalam mengoptimalkan fungsi PMO, sehingga berpotensi meningkatkan keteraturan pengobatan TB pada masyarakat. Diharapkan program ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan pemantauan jangka panjang dan kolaborasi lintas sektor untuk mendukung eliminasi TB.
