Abstract

One of the major maritime security issue for many countries in the world is Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU Fishing) on the sea. IUU Fishing is a non-traditional security issue that have become an important concern for many countries, due to serious impactThis research using constructivism perspective and using international organization theory and institutionalism theory as the additional theory. The level of analysis is group of actors and this research using descriptive-qualitative methods, and observation as the data collecting.This research shows that Thailand Government must supervise the IUU cases and if the government failed, it will be affecting the huge political crisis. Abstract

This study discusses “the role of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (unhcr) in dealing with refugees in Spain”. many of the refugees who came to Spain were caused by the worsening conditions in their home countries such as natural disasters, economies, and war that forced them to leave their home countries and seek safer shelter in other countries and to save themselves from threatening dangers they. As a result of these problems, the UN refugee protection agency, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, provides assistance to refugees in Spain.The method used in this study is qualitative explanative. This study uses secondary data using library research. This study uses the Perspective of Pluralism by Paul R, Viotti and Mark V. Kauppi, Level Analysis of Group Behavior, and Theories of international organizations by Clive ArcherThe result of this research is the role of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in handling refugees in Spain is by conducting programs such as educational programs, fundraising, campaigns and working with the Spanish government. The programs run by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees are quite successful with many giving assistance to refugees in Spain

Abstract

This research explains the implementation of Indonesian policy in handling illegal immigrants in Riau province. Riau which is located very strategically and located on the border of the sea with other countries allows so many people who visit Riau for a tour as well as for asylum seekers. Due to the factors that make the asylum seekers make Riau as their place to go to their destination country that is AustraliaThe perspective used in this research is neorealism, the theory used is migration and policy. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from field research and data collection were conducted using interviews based on structured questions. Secondary data is obtained through library research, and online computer search. The data obtained are then selected and then analyzed in a qualitative manner and prepared in the form of descriptive research reports.The study finds that now Indonesia can only accept the refugees until the third State for the refugees already exists. Increasingly, more and more foreign nationals are victims of conflict in their country who come to Indonesia. Because according to them Indonesia is a very good country. That way, Indonesia must continue to receive refugees because it is a mandate of the United Nations and Indonesia should keep. Coordination of fereign parties, Namely UNHCR and IOM determine and influence. In determining the status and facilities for asylum seeker and refugees.Keywords: Illegal Immigrants, Indonesian Policy

Abstract

The Parliament of the European Union issued a resolution on palm oil in April 2017.The resolution is titled Palm Oil and Deforestation of Rainforest. The resolution isconsidered discriminatory against palm oil because it recommends other vegetable oils thatare no more efficient than palm oil. The discrimination of palm oil has been going on for along time, but this time the Uni European-levelissued the resolution. This is contrary to theprinciples established by the Eurepoean Union so far as the champion of open, rules-basedfree, and fair trade.This research uses Library Research method. The data is obtained from the officialwebsite of the relevant institutions both from Indonesia and the Parliament of the EuropeanUnion. Using the perspective of Mercantilism, the level of Country-Nation analysis andCompetitive Advantage Theory proposed by Michael E. porter and the Concept of NationalInterest.Indonesia as the world's largest palm oil producer feels very disappointed with theissuance of the resolution. Moreover, Indonesia has strived to create the Palm Oil Industrythat is compatible with sustainable development. Indonesia needs a special strategy so thatthe resolution is not implemented because it will have a political impact and a bad image onthe European Union countries and other countries due to restrictions on palm oil. However,Indonesia is not alone. Indonesia along with other palm oil producing countries unite to fightthe resolution and show the facts through a positive campaign that palm oil is a moreefficient, effective and sustainable type of vegetable oil. Abstract

The Indonesian government has a Forest Moratorium policy that has been in effect since 2011. However, until the moratorium policy was made permanent in 2019, deforestation still occurred in Indonesia, including in areas protected by the moratorium. To understand how an international non-governmental organization Greenpeace has played a role in dealing with forest destruction due to deforestation in Indonesia.                                                                             Based on the theory of the role of international organizations at the level of group analysis with descriptive qualitative research methods, using primary data obtained through interviews, the official website of Greenpeace and related Ministries as well as secondary data from books, journals, and reports related to forest destruction in Indonesia.                                                        The results showed that in dealing with forest damage due to deforestation during the forest moratorium, Greenpeace actively carried out direct forest campaigns on the Mata Harimau Tour in Sumatra and Kalimantan collecting data on the moratorium on forests damaged by deforestation, campaigning online through websites and social media, and opening forest data. the moratorium is reduced due to deforestation, meet with relevant parties to influence the implementation of the moratorium policy so that zero deforestation is realized in Indonesia..Keywords : Forest Moratorium policy, Greenpeace, Deforestation

Abstract

This research explains about motivation of Switzerland for a referendum as an effort to limit immigration and keeping national’s security balance in 2014. Switzerland as the heart of Europe had agreement with European Union about Free Movement on Persons that will be the main reason of increasing immigrant and asylum seekers. Switzerland have long connection with immigrant and asylum seekers who have contribute and support for national economy. This research has been built by neo-realism perspective on International Relations and support by securitization and migration theories, and also concept of referendum. Formulation of all arguments, facts, and theoretical framework on this research is guided by qualitative descriptive methods. Scope of this research is Switzerland’s immigration referendum in 2014. This research found that immigrant and asylum seekers threaten Switzerland’s security in many ways. This result shows that Switzerland fear about arising of criminality and highly social assistance that government spend for immigrant and asylum seekers. Immigration referendum is a result from people’s want to limit immigration because their negative effect, also spreading of xenophobia and islamophobia in Switzerland. The main motivation of immigration referendum is to maintain security the security of Switzerland who were disturbed by the presence of immigrant and asylum seekers.Keyword : referendum, immigration, security, securitization of migration

Abstract

This research describes how the implementation of cultural diplomacy is carried out by the Indonesian government through the Indonesian Cultural House program in Malaysia and to see the level of effectiveness of the Indonesian Cultural House program by the Indonesian government in Malaysia. The purpose of the Indonesian Cultural House program in Malaysia is to develop Indonesian culture through international cultural diplomacy and encourage more international interest in visiting Indonesian cultural icons.This research uses a constructivist perspective with the level of nation state analysis and uses qualitative research methods with the main objective of collecting descriptive data that can describe the efforts of the Indonesian government in realizing the Indonesian cultural house program in Malaysia. Data collection was carried out through review of related documents, websites, and literature studies. Based on these descriptions, this research is categorized into descriptive researchThe Indonesian Cultural House program greatly benefits the international environment and Indonesian citizens living abroad. The strategy used by researchers is through: exhibitions, competitions, expert exchanges, negotiations and conferences. The impact and benefits of the collaboration between Indonesia and Malaysia in the establishment of this Cultural House. in terms of the economy, this cooperation will bring benefits to both countries in terms of increasing tourism activity from the two countries from year to year. Abstract

Senegal is one of the countries located in West African that included into Sub-sahara African. This state well known has a source of mining potential specially phosphate and uranium that can increase national and regional incomes. Many country which are represented by many multinational corporations are investing in Senegal,especially in industrial sectors. And in this research, writer focused on the chemical industrial sector cooperation by Indonesia and Senegal.The reasearch is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. In analyzing the motivation of Indonesia cooperates with senegal in chemical industrial sector 2013-2016. The writer uses a Neoliberal perspective the supported by the concept of International cooperation. Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of West Africa Cocoa Agricultural Project (WACAP) for elimination child labour in Cote d’Ivoire. Child labor is one of the social problems which can disrupt the child's mental development and physical development of children. Cote d'Ivoire is one of the country in West Africa that is getting the spotlight related to the numerous child labourers that work under the hazardous conditions on cocoa plantations. In line with the establishment of Harkin-Engel Protocol as one of the effort to eliminate the worst forms of child labour in cocoa and chocolate industry, the involvement of ILO-IPEC is expected to assist in realizing the protocol’s objective. ILO-IPEC established WACAP, a sub-regional program which conducted in four cocoa producing countries and one rice producing country in West Africa.This research uses Pluralism Perspective and Role Concept. It also uses Organization theory and level analysis is Interest Groups. This research uses qualitative method and library research for references by collecting data from books, journals, articles, and news that come from various medias. And applying the questions to the parties who are involve in this research through media.In order to eliminate child labor in Côte d'Ivoire, WACAP has 5 programs. Abstract

Autonomous regions and globalization has encouraged an increase in the capacity of the government and the town of Bukittinggi in good governance as a prerequisite for development and a step that makes the fabric of wider cooperation. It encourages the development of sister city cooperation Bukittinggi city government and the Seremban Municipal.Implementation describes the successful cooperation of Bukittinggi and Seremban Municipal. The study used Pluralism perspective. Used theoretical framework cooperation theory, effectiveness, as well as the concept of sister city.In connection with the objectives to be achieved together, the cooperation between the government of Bukittinggi and the Seremban Municipal sister city cooperation greatly helped the city of Bukittinggi in developing all the advantages of natural resources and beauty that can not be in doubt. This study uses primary data that is direct observation of the application of the sister city in Bukittinggi town and using qualitative analysis research. The results showed that the implementation of the implementation of cooperation sister city of Bukittinggi and Seremban Municipal positive impact and can be utilized by the town of Bukittinggi in developing amcam various agreements that have been listed in the agreement between the city and the Municipal Bukitttinggi Seremban.Keywords: Sister City, Cooperation, Bukittinggi and Perbandaran Seremban
