Abstract

CAREER INFORMATION SERVICES BASED ON FIELD TRIP TO IMPROVE STUDENTS UNDERSTANDING. The aims of this study is to: (1) find out the implementation of career information services in Magelang Regency; (2) produce career information service models with field trip techniques to improve career understanding of vocational students; (3) determine the level of career understanding of students in Muhammadiyah 1 Mertoyudan Vocational School; and (4) knowing the effectiveness of career information services with field trip techniques to improve career understanding of students at Mertoyudan 1 Muhammadiyah Vocational School. The population in this study were students of class XII of Muhammadiyah 1 Mertoyudan Vocational School with 29 students who were used as samples. The study design used pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design with saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used is Paired sample t-Test with consideration in this study using one independent variable (Independent Variable). The result of the effectiveness test of this study is that there is an increase in students' career understanding through career information services with field trip techniques. The level of career understanding of students has increased after participating in career information services with field trip techniques. This is seen from the increase in the results of the student's career understanding scale before and after being given career information services with a field trip technique of 28% and strengthened through the effectiveness test using a t-test that shows the -t count <-t-table, which is -9,583 <-2,045 or data Sig (0,000) < 0.05.

Abstract

This study departs from the limitations of research on how principals, counselors, teachers, and peers in inhibiting students' intention to do counseling. This study aims to determine how principals, counselors, teachers, and peers influence the lack of interest in student to do counseling. 162 students from six Junior High Schools in the city of Magelang, Indonesia were involved as participants after obtaining permission from the schools. The collected data is then analyzed using correlation and path analysis to see how the relationship and influence of principals, counselors, teachers, and peers on student counseling interests, and to see how the role of peers in mediating the relationship between principals with counselors and teacher with counselors. The school principals, counselors, and teachers become serious obstacles as they being categorized in high, while peers become factors in the medium category. Principals, teachers and peers contribute positively to the lack of interest in consulting to counselors. Principal factors and teachers contribute positively to peers. Peers are mediators in the principal's relationship with the counselor and the teacher's relationship with the counselor.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy training on improvingthe self-concept of seventh grade students of SMP Plus Ihya’ul Ulum Muntilan.This research is true experimental design research with pretest-posttest controlgroup design. Research subject were selected using simple random sampling. Thesamples taken were 22 students consisting of 11 students as the experimental group and 11 students as the control group. The method of data collection is done by using a self-concept questionnaire. The analysis prerequisite test consists of a normality test and a homogenity test. Data analysis used One Way Anova Parametric Statistical analysiswith the help of SPSS version 25.The result showed that self-efficacy training had an effect on increasing students’self-concept. This is evidenced by the result of the One Way Anova Parametric Statisticstest with a probability value of sig. (2-tailed) 0,004 < 0,05. Based on the result of the analysis and discussion, there is a difference in the average score of the student self-concept questionnaire between the experimental group by 12% and the control group by 4%. The result of the study can be concluded that there is an effect of self-efficacytraining to improve students’ self-concept.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of mind mapping techniques in group guidance services to improve the career planning skills of eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Bulu Temanggung. This type of research is a quantitative research with an experimental method of one group pre-test post test design. This research was conducted in eight meetings with 8 students as research subjects. The data analysis technique used parametric analysis and paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was a change in students' career planning before and after participating in group guidance services with mind mapping techniques (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 < 0.05). This shows that the mind mapping technique with group guidance services is effective for improving the career planning skills of eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Bulu Temanggung. For this reason, Bk teachers should use mind mapping techniques in group guidance services to improve students' career planning skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling with a humanistic approach in improving the psychological well-being of foster children at the A'isyiyah Sumberrejo Orphanage, Bojonegoro Regency. The type of research used is pre-experimental research with the One Group Pretest Posttest Design model. Research subjects were selected by purposive sampling. The sample is 6 high school age foster children. The method of data collection was carried out with a psychological well-being questionnaire. Data analysis used the T test, namely the Paired Sample T Test with the help of the SPSS for Windows version 26.00 program. The results showed that the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, proving that there was a significant difference between the pretest with an average score of 88.67 which increased to an average score of 106.83 in the posttest. So it can be concluded that humanistic group counseling can help improve the psychological well-being of foster children in orphanages by marked changes in attitudes, understanding and positive behavior of foster children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interpersonal communication training to improve cooperation between adolescents. This research uses One Group Pretest-Poesttest Design. The samples taken in this study were 8 teenagers consisting of one experimental group. Sampling using random sampling technique. Methods of data collection is done by using a cooperative questionnaire. The data analysis method used is parametric analysis Paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that interpersonal communication training can have an effect on increasing cooperation between adolescents. This is evidenced by the Paired Sample T Test with a significance probability value (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of the study, there was a difference in the average score of the 20% Cooperation questionnaire from the results of the pretest and posttest. The results of the study can be concluded that interpersonal communication training is able to increase cooperation between adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling on cognitive restructuring techniques to reduce student interpersonal communication anxiety. This type of research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental design research method with a one group pretest-posttest design model. The sample in this study was 15 students of FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Magelang who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool used is a student interpersonal communication anxiety scale. Based on the results of hypothesis testing with the paired sample t-test with a significant (2-tiled) probability of 0.000 <0.05. And based on the results of the analysis and discussion, there is a difference in the average score of the student interpersonal communication anxiety scale questionnaire by 25% from the pretest results and the posttest results of the student interpersonal communication anxiety scale questionnaire.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of career information using life skills techniques to improve career planning for Al-Iman High School students, in Magelang City. The research method was experimental research. The research design used a pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample was class III students using non-random sampling with a quota sampling technique, amounting to 15 students. The students' career planning characteristics were measured using a career planning questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was the Paired sample t-Test with the consideration that this study used one independent variable. The results showed that this model was effective in improving student career planning. The level of student career planning increased after following career information using life skills techniques. This could be seen from the career planning of students before and after being given career information with the Life Skills technique of 22% and strengthened through an effectiveness test using a t-test which showed -t count (-7.869) < -t table (-2.120).

Abstract

Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat Terpadu, merupakan program kerja mahasiswa dari Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang, sebagai acuan membantu usaha mikro kecil masyarakat. Program ini membantu kemitraaan usaha untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan hasil produksi makanan ringan criping si renyah, di Desa Balak, Losari, Kecamatan Pakis, Magelang serta mendapatkan perizinan industri rumah tangga dari pemerintah agar usaha tersebut memiliki perizinan usaha, dari PIRT tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai jaminan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan terjamin mutu dan kebersihannya sehingga layak untuk dipasarkan secara luas sebagai acuan meningkatkan ekonomi para usaha mikro kecil di masyarakat. Ada dua aspek yang dilakukan oleh pihak mahasiswa untuk membantu usaha criping si renyah, yaitu aspek produksi dan aspek manajemen. Aspek produksi ada beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan seperti meningkatkan kualitas produk dengan mengarah proses produksi dengan prosedur kesehatan agar kebersihan makanan terjamin, dalam prosesnya untuk mendapatkan perizinan usaha, ada survei dari pihak puskesmas untuk menilik kelayakan tempat proses pembuatan produk memenuhi syarat kesehatan,, untuk aspek manajemen, kegiatan yang dilakukan pelatihan manajemen usaha dan strategi usaha dengan memanfaatkan internet untuk menyebarluaskan produk, pembuatan katalog untuk menarik konsumen. Dengan adanya progam ini pada akhir pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pemberdayaan masyarakat terpadu mitra mampu menguasai dan menerapkan progam yang dijalankan mahasiswa untuk meningkatakan pendapataan dan daya saing IRT.

Abstract

This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of career information services using Life Skills techniques for the career advancement of Al-Iman High School students in Magelang City in terms of career planning aspects. The research method is experimental research. The research design used a pre-experimental of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were XII students, totalling 26 students. The sample was 8 students using non-random sampling with quota sampling technique. The data collection instrument in this study used a career planning questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the Paired sample t-test with the consideration that this study used one independent variable. The results of the effectiveness test of this study were that this career service was effective in improving student careers in terms of career planning aspects. The level of student career advancement increased after following career information with life skills techniques. This could be seen from the understanding of students' careers before and after being given career information with life skills techniques by 23% with details: self-understanding indicators 10%, communicate and cooperate indicators 28%, improve self-performance 24%, get to know the world of social work21% and strengthened through an effectiveness test using a t-test which showed -t count (-4.894) < -t table (-2.365).
