Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) multiple-choice items in the Accounting Computer Elements Phase F at SMKN 10 Surabaya, administered to 11th-grade students. The research was conducted using the ANATES application to evaluate the validity and reliability of the test items, as well as to identify the difficulty level, discrimination power, and consistency of the questions. The method used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis by collecting data from the student exam results, which consists of multiple-choice items measuring critical, analytical, and evaluative thinking skills in the context of Accounting Computer Elements material. The analysis results indicate that almost all the items have an appropriate difficulty level and sufficient discrimination power, though some questions need to be revised to improve the quality of the assessment. Furthermore, the overall reliability of the test items is deemed adequate for measuring student competence. This study is expected to provide recommendations for improving future exam questions and contribute to enhancing the quality of learning assessments at SMKN 10 Surabaya, particularly in the field of Accounting Computer Element.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal pilihan ganda pada mata pelajaran Akuntansi Lembaga/Instansi Pemerintah kelas XII SMK. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan program komputer ANATES untuk mengukur validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh setiap butir soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar butir soal memiliki tingkat kesukaran sedang dan daya pembeda yang baik, namun masih terdapat beberapa butir soal yang tidak valid dan memiliki daya pembeda rendah. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting bagi peningkatan kualitas penilaian dalam pembelajaran akuntansi. Hasil analisis dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk merevisi butir soal yang kurang baik dan mengembangkan instrumen penilaian yang lebih valid dan reliabel. Dengan demikian, hasil penilaian dapat menjadi cerminan yang lebih akurat dari kemampuan siswa dan dapat digunakan sebagai umpan balik bagi guru untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini, masih banyak guru yang belum melakukan analisis tingkat kualitas ketika membuat butir soal yang akan diberikan kepada peserta didik. Kurangnya pemahaman dan kebiasaan dalam penggunaan cara lama dalam menentukan kualitas butir soal membuat para guru lebih lama dalam proses pembuatan dan tidak ingin mengoperasikan software yang menunjang kegiatan analisis butir soal karena kesulitan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat dan menjelaskan hasil analisis kualitas butir yang dilakukan siswa SMK kelas 11 pada mata pelajaran akuntansi perusahaan jasa, dagang, dan manufaktur menggunakan software Anates. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dan teknik pengumpulannya dengan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari instrumen penilaian yang dianalisis, dua soal telah memenuhi kriteria signifikan, enam soal dinyatakan cukup memadai, dan dua soal belum signifikan. Oleh karena itu, masih diperlukan perbaikan pada beberapa soal agar memenuhi kriteria penilaian yang layak. Alat penilaian dianggap layak untuk digunakan untuk mengevaluasi hasil belajar peserta didik serta dapat memenuhi karakteristik butir soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Ini karena alat penilaian ini dapat membedakan peserta didik berdasarkan kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah berdasarkan kualitas butir soal yang mereka jawab.

Abstract

This study analyzes the quality of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based questions using the Anates application for class X Accounting students at SMKN 1 Kendal. The research involved 15 multiple-choice questions designed to assess students' analysis, evaluation, and synthesis skills, with data collected from 30 students. The analysis focused on reliability, difficulty level, discriminating power, distractor effectiveness, and validity. Results showed a reliability score of 0.76, indicating good consistency. However, only 3 out of 15 questions met validity criteria, while most had low correlations with total scores. The majority of questions were classified as very easy (>90%), failing to challenge critical thinking. Additionally, 80% of the questions had low discriminating power, and 60% of distractors were ineffective. These findings highlight the need for significant question revisions to align with HOTS standards. The Anates application proved useful in systematically identifying weaknesses and guiding improvements. This research aims to enhance the quality of evaluation instruments, particularly HOTS-based questions, in vocational high schools.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of assessing the feasibility of subject matter items in 11th grade vocational students using the Anates application. The problem raised is the need to evaluate the quality of questions to support the achievement of learning objectives optimally and measurably. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive method using data collection techniques through google form, the research includes 15 multiple choice questions and is given to 30 grade 11 students. Based on data analysis conducted using the Anates application to measure reliability, validity, distinguishing power, difficulty level, and the effectiveness of the checker. The results showed the reliability of the question 0.77 which is classified as good. The distinguishing power of the question is in the good enough category, while the quality of the exterminator is considered less effective and needs improvement. The conclusion of the study shows that although some aspects of the questions meet the eligibility criteria, revisions to the items are still needed to improve their overall quality. This evaluation is important to ensure that the questions are more accurate, relevant, useful, high quality, and support the tax learning process optimally.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji kelayakan rangkaian soal HOTS pilihan ganda yang kami kembangkan untuk siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) Komputer Akuntansi Fase F sehingga mereka dapat melakukan Asesmen yang akan menjadi bagian dari pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menganalisis validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran dan efektivitas pengecoh, dengan partisipasi 30 siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya dengan menyebarkan 15 soal pilihan ganda melalui kuisioner pada Google Formulir. Penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi Anates versi 4.0.2 untuk menguji soal pilihan ganda yang telah dibuat. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan mengenai kualitas soal pilihan ganda HOTS dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan analisis siswa, yang kemudian dapat dijadikan dasar untuk meningkatkan program belajar mengajar Fase F pada bidang Komputer Akuntansi bagi siswa XI SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya sehingga proses pembelajaran lebih efisien dan produktif untuk mencapai tujuan akademik. This research aims to test the feasibility of a series of multiple choice HOTS questions that we developed for Computer Accounting Vocational High School (SMK) students Phase F so that they can carry out assessments that will be part of the learning. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive method to analyze validity, reliability, differentiating power, level of difficulty, and effectiveness of distractors, with the participation of 30 class XI students at SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya by distributing 15 multiple choice questions via a questionnaire on Google Forms. This research uses the Anates application version 4.0.2 to test the multiple-choice questions created. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide insight into the quality of HOTS multiple choice questions in improving students' understanding and analytical skills, which can then be used as a basis for enhancing the Phase F teaching and learning program in the field of Computer Accounting for students of XI SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya so that it is more efficient and productive for achieve academic goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki sebuah  tujuan guna menelaah kualitas pertanyaan pilihan ganda yang dirancang dengan mengacu pada prinsip Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada materi Proses Bisnis di Bidang Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga. Instrument penelitian memuat 54 butir soal yang meliputi enam tujuan pembelajaran, yaitu menjelaskan tahapan proses akuntansi, menerapkan prinsip profesionalisme dan keselamatan kerja, mengelola data akuntansi berbasis teknologi, memahami perkembangan standar akuntansi dan teknologi, memahami lebih dalam profesi serta peluang kerja pada bidang akuntansi dan keuangan Lembaga, serta menerapkan etika profesi dan kompetensi personal dalam bekerja. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi Anates dengan melibatkan siswa kelas X Akuntansi SMK di wilayah Surabaya sebagai responden. Data yang diperoleh mencakup reliabilitas tes, indeks pemisah, tingkat kesulitan, korelasi item – total terhadap skor total, serta efektivitas distraktor. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa reliabilitas tes mencapai 0,97 termasuk kategori sangat tinggi. Daya pembeda sebagian besar tergolong baik hingga sangat baik, sedangkan taraf kesukaran soal terletak pada kategori sedang (60%) serta mudah (40%). Korelasi butir terhadap skor total menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar soal valid dan mampu mengukur kemampuan siswa secara konsisten. Sementara itu, efektivitas pengecoh menunjukkan sekitar 70-80% berfungsi baik, sedangkan sisanya perlu diperbaiki. Secara umum, soal dinilai layak diterapkan sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran dengan revisi minor pada beberapa butir

Abstract

This study was conducted to review the quality of test items in Business Economics and General Administration subjects using a classical analysis approach. The assessment process included examining validity, reliability, difficulty level, the ability of questions to differentiate student abilities, and the accuracy of distractors. The research approach used was descriptive quantitative, with 32 students from grades XI and XII majoring in Accounting as subjects and 50 multiple-choice questions as instruments. The main focus of this study was to ensure that the evaluation tools used were truly capable of describing students' competency achievements. Data analysis was conducted through observation results and student responses on Google Forms, which were then processed using the Anates Version 4.0 application. The results of the analysis showed that most of the questions had high validity and reliability, good discrimination power, and a moderate level of difficulty. However, the overall quality of the distractors was not good enough, and there were no questions in the difficult category. Overall, the quality of the questions in this subject can be categorized as good and suitable for evaluating the learning of vocational high school students in grades XI and XII.

Abstract

This study evaluates the quality of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment instruments for Phase F Accounting. The core problem identified is the limited teacher capacity for conducting qualitative item analysis manually, which risks compromising assessment validity. Employing a quantitative descriptive method, this research analyzes response data from 45 exam questions to evaluate their psychometric characteristics, including validity, reliability, difficulty index, discriminating power, and distractor effectiveness using Anates V.4 software.The empirical findings confirm that 76.67% of the items meet validity criteria with a high overall reliability coefficient. The majority of the items were of moderate difficulty. However, an in-depth analysis of the distractors revealed the ineffectiveness of several options, indicating a need for systematic revision.A key practical implication of this study is the validation of Anates V.4 as a technological solution for enhancing the efficiency of item bank analysis. The original contribution of this research lies in its computational analysis of HOTS items for Phase F Accounting, with a specific focus on distractor effectiveness—an analytical dimension often overlooked in similar literature. This focused approach provides a critical and replicable framework for improving the quality of HOTS-based assessments.
