Abstract

This study aims to design an education model based on Eco-Sufism as an alternative approach to addressing the global environmental crisis. Using a qualitative library research method, this study analyzes literature on Nasr's ideas and their application in education. The findings reveal that Eco-Sufism-based education has significant potential in fostering ecological awareness rooted in spirituality. This educational design promotes harmony between humans, nature, and God, emphasizing humanity's role as stewards responsible for environmental preservation. The integration of Sufism values into the educational curriculum offers a holistic approach relevant to the 21st century, positioning Islam as a pioneer of global ecological solutions rooted in spirituality. This study concludes that Eco-Sufism education can be an effective model for building sustainable ecological awareness, providing a transformative contribution to addressing global environmental challenges with a transcendental approach.

Abstract

Based on the research, Sambasness Malay in Sepinggan Village recoqnize pantang larang (prohibition/taboo) as moral norms or unwritten rules dealing with their activities as Malay. it is called pantang larang  because it contains prohibition. If someone breaks the rules of pantang larang, he or she will get bad or scary thing. At sepinggan village,pantang larang developed as a strategy for malay in educating character building indeed since early childhood. The environmental wisdom is one of things which reflected in Sambasness Malay's pantang larang at Sepinggan Village. It has been known for a long time from desecent untill now and internalized assimilated in their activities as moeslims. it is descriptive research. it describes objective and contextual that information source gains from the field observation.

Abstract

This paper departs from the background of library research. The purpose of this article is to reveal how Thomas Lickona's idea of character education builds multicultural awareness, and how relevant it is to education in school/madrasah in Indonesia. The primary data source is a book written by Thomas Lickona entitled Educating for Character, which the author using the content analysis method used to analyze Lickona's ideas. Based on the analysis of this book, Lickona's idea of character education that builds multicultural awareness is relevant to be applied, namely a comprehensive model, which is implemented with due regard to: first, a positive culture, which is created by developing an overall madrasah environment that supports and strengthens the values that are taught by educators in the classroom; second, the importance of models with positive attitudes and behavior from the leaders of educational institutions, educators, educational staff, and other elements as models for students to behave positively; and third, involving parents or guardians of each student, as well as the community and other components outside the school/madrasah as work partners to support student learning in values or character.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the application of constructivist theory in the learning process within the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at IAIN Pontianak and its impact on students' awareness of religious moderation. The research employs a library-based approach enriched by field investigations, including observation, interviews, and documentation. A descriptive method is used to analyze the implementation of constructivist theory in Islamic Religious education and its influence on students’ moderate attitudes. The findings indicate that constructivist-based learning not only enhances students’ theoretical understanding of religion but also fosters the development of moderate, inclusive, and tolerant attitudes toward diversity. By internalizing the values of moderate Islam, students are better equipped to resist extremist interpretations. The study concludes that the application of constructivist theory in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at IAIN Pontianak plays a significant role in cultivating students’ awareness of religious moderation, thereby preparing them to become educators who promote peace, tolerance, and social harmony.

Abstract

The writing of this article is based on the lack of environmental awareness of students at school. Therefore, the purpose of writing this article is to find out how the project-based Islamic Religious Education learning strategy for environmental awareness at school, besides that it is hoped that students can have environmental awareness at school by not throwing garbage in any place, being able to sort garbage properly and processing waste by utilizing existing school resources through interesting Islamic Religious Education lessons. The writing of this article uses qualitative research methods by using a literature study approach (Liberary research) to analyze the learning strategy of Islamic religious education based on environmental awareness projects. The conclusion of this research in general is that this strategy is carried out with project activities made by the students themselves with the following steps: 1) Research or search for problems about the cleanliness of the school environment; 2) then afterwards conduct an environmental campaign using posters not to throw garbage in place which are prepared at the next meeting; 3) Practical learning to select and categorize organic and inorganic waste; and 4) Recycling waste by trying to make ecobricks from used plastic bottles and plastic waste.

Abstract

This article examines the strategic steps taken by the Islamic Education Department (PAI) at IAIN Pontianak to counter religious radicalization among students. The primary focus of this study is the department’s efforts to educate students through a religious moderation-based curriculum, aimed at preventing narrow and exclusive interpretations of religion. A qualitative-descriptive approach is used in this research, combining field research methods with a systematic literature review. The study finds that the PAI department is dedicated to developing a curriculum that incorporates the values of Islamic moderation while also leveraging technology to expand students' perspectives on pluralism and multiculturalism. Education programs rooted in moderate values, such as Religious Moderation Education, play a key role in fostering tolerance and harmony among religious communities. However, the main challenge faced is the limited resources of faculty and facilities needed to support the effective implementation of this curriculum. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to discussions on Islamic education, especially in strengthening religious moderation within Islamic higher education. This article also offers a new perspective on the critical role of curriculum, faculty, and technology in addressing the challenges of radicalization, making it highly relevant for Islamic education that emphasizes inclusive values and multiculturalism. Artikel ini mengkaji langkah-langkah strategis yang dilakukan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di IAIN Pontianak dalam menangkal radikalisasi agama di kalangan mahasiswa. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah upaya Prodi dalam mendidik mahasiswa melalui kurikulum berbasis moderasi beragama yang bertujuan mencegah munculnya penafsiran agama yang sempit dan eksklusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan memadukan metode penelitian lapangan dan telaah pustaka secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Prodi PAI berkomitmen mengembangkan kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moderasi Islam sekaligus memanfaatkan teknologi untuk memperluas wawasan mahasiswa mengenai pluralisme dan multikulturalisme. Program pendidikan yang berakar pada nilai-nilai moderat, seperti Pendidikan Moderasi Beragama, berperan penting dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi dan harmoni antarumat beragama. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan sumber daya dosen serta sarana dan prasarana yang diperlukan untuk mendukung implementasi kurikulum secara efektif. Signifikansi penelitian ini terletak pada kontribusinya terhadap diskursus pendidikan Islam, khususnya dalam memperkuat moderasi beragama di perguruan tinggi Islam. Artikel ini juga menawarkan perspektif baru mengenai peran penting kurikulum, dosen, dan teknologi dalam menghadapi tantangan radikalisasi, sehingga relevan bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang menekankan nilai inklusif dan multikulturalisme.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi masih belum sepenuhnya berjalan optimal dalam implementasinya di sekolah. Salah satu dasar yang dapat digunakan guru untuk merancang pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah dengan melakukan asesmen diagnostic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali implementasi asesmen diagnostik untuk optimalisasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di SMP. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Sleman Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta pada semester gasal tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kepada guru IPS SMP kelas VII, VIII, dan IX. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) implementasi asesmen diagnostik untuk optimalisasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dilakukan melalui tahapan persiapan dan perencanaan, pelaksanaan asesmen diagnostik, analisis hasil asesmen, penyusunan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, serta refleksi dan penyesuaian disertai tujuan dan rincian kegiatan masing-masing tahapan; 2) Optimalisasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dilakukan dengan identifikasi kebutuhan belajar peserta didik melalui asesmen diagnostic yang disertai tindak lanjut sesuai kategori kebutuhan. Temuan penelitian dapat menjadi rekomendasi bagi guru agar melakukan asesmen diagnostic terlebih dahulu sebagai dasar dalam merancang pembelajaran berdiferensiasi agar optimal, sehingga strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan guru dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajarnya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah dalam mengorganisasi, menetapkan, dan mengembangkan strategi pengorganisasian konten pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam melalui desain pembelajaran profesional pendidikan agama Islam (PAI). Sementara itu, teori yang digunakan dalam masalah ini adalah teori model desain pembelajaran yang merujuk pada pendekatan sistem, yang dikembangkan oleh Kemp, Dick dan Carey, serta model Degeng, di mana semuanya mencakup analisis kondisi pembelajaran, pengembangan strategi pembelajaran, dan pengembangan prosedur pengukuran pembelajaran.Artikel ini merupakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan, yang bersifat deskriptif-analitis. Metode berpikir dalam artikel ini menggunakan metode induktif, di mana pembahasannya menganalisis data dari fakta-fakta yang spesifik menuju fakta-fakta umum mengenai desain pengembangan pembelajaran PAI.Hasil studi dalam artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Desain pengembangan pembelajaran PAI dengan menggunakan model Kemp bertumpu pada empat elemen dasar perencanaan pembelajaran, yaitu siswa, tujuan, metode, dan evaluasi. Model desain pengembangan Dick dan Carey merujuk pada pendekatan sistem, sementara model desain pengembangan Degeng didasarkan pada variabel-variabel yang memengaruhi pembelajaran dalam bentuk tujuan dan karakteristik bidang studi, sumber daya dan hambatan pembelajaran, karakteristik peserta didik, tujuan pembelajaran serta isi pembelajaran, strategi pengorganisasian konten pembelajaran, strategi penyampaian konten pembelajaran, strategi manajemen pembelajaran, dan pengembangan prosedur pengukuran hasil pembelajaran. (2) Langkah-langkah dalam desain pengembangan pembelajaran PAI di sekolah dan madrasah meliputi: analisis standar kompetensi, bahan ajar, karakteristik siswa, pemilihan dan penentuan pendekatan, serta evaluasi hasil belajar.

Abstract

Change is an inevitability in education, where the curriculum must serve as a dynamic roadmap guiding learners to construct knowledge actively and independently. This article examines the evolving needs of Indonesia’s educational curriculum before and after the Covid-19 pandemic through the lens of constructivism, a learning philosophy that positions students as active knowledge constructors. Employing a qualitative approach grounded in literature review and descriptive analysis, the study explores how the 2013 Curriculum, the Emergency Curriculum, and the Merdeka Curriculum have responded to shifting pedagogical demands in both face-to-face and remote learning contexts. Findings indicate that the pandemic accelerated a paradigm shift toward more flexible, student-centered, and project-based curriculum models. However, the primary challenges remain in the uneven readiness of educators and disparities in technological infrastructure. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to reinforcing the philosophical foundation for the development of adaptive curricula aligned with future educational demands. It also offers strategic recommendations for policymakers and educational practitioners. Furthermore, the study opens avenues for future research on the practical implementation of constructivist curricula across diverse settings, including teacher capacity-building and the evaluation of project-based learning effectiveness within the Merdeka Curriculum framework.

Abstract

This article investigates the relationships between two congregations, Muslims and Confucians, of two places of worship, that is, Al-Ikhlas Mosque and Tri Dharma Temple adjacent to each other in Desa Sadar Kerukunan, Ilir Kota, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. These two places of worship together arguably form the icon of tolerance between religious communities. To ensure that a society characterized by religious and ethnic diversity is harmonious, social capital is necessary to bolster the cohesiveness of relationships between individuals and groups. This study is field research with a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. Employing Robert D. Putnam’s theory of social capital encompassing trust, norms, and networks, this study found that firstly, the deep trust of each religious community is well fostered, which is reflected in the practice of inter-religious communities helping each other. Secondly, there are social networks established and preserved by the elite of the two places of worship. Thirdly, social norms encourage all activities related to ethnicity and religious identity to be communicated clearly to all parties. Fourthly, harmony between religious communities around these two places of worship is driven by the same motive to preserve a common interest, that is, the economic aspect.
