Abstract

Water is all water that above or below the ground surface, including sea water that is on land. The need for clean water will increase, while clean water is scarce and must be paid handsomely. Meanwhile, the water source crisis is caused by the increasing need for water as a result of the growing population and land functions that can change the hydrological cycle. One way to meet human needs for clean water is by establishing the concept of rainwater harvesting, which is the concept of collecting rainwater that is stored in a reservoir and then the collected water can be used as an alternative source of water.The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of rainwater before electrolysis and to determine the pH and TDS values of the permanent yield of rainwater and electrolysis.The results of this study are based on the results of laboratory tests showing that the overall quality of water in rainwater meets PerMenKes N0.416 of 1990. For the decreased pH and TDS values in the electrolysis process using a 1 ampere current adapter with a voltage of 300 volts has increased by 0 , 2-0.4 cm in acidic water. As well as for the area of titanium that affects the electrolysis process, the smaller the size of the titanium, the faster it will produce acid water.Keywords: water, rainwater, rainwater harvesting concept, electrolysis method, acid water.

Abstract

Considering the bad impact of water loss which has an impact on its efficiency, the authors are interested in analyzing the efficiency and water loss in irrigation networks in the Sekampung Bunut Irrigation Area (DI). Efficiency and water losses were analyzed using the in-discharge discharge method. The data used in this analysis consist of primary data in the form of flow velocity data with current meters, irrigation channel cross-sections, temperature data, humidity data, then secondary data, namely data on the length of solar radiation and wind speed data. Loss of water in the secondary irrigation channel KR Irrigation Area (DI) of Sekampung Bunut lost an average of 17.15%. Meanwhile, the efficiency of the secondary channel in the Irrigation Area (DI) of Sekampung Bunut was 82.85%. The theoretical value of the average efficiency in the secondary channel KR is 90%. This shows that the amount of efficiency is still below the requirements of theoretical efficiency. One of the factors that cause water loss in the secondary channel in the Sekampung Bunut Irrigation Area is the evaporation factor that occurs along the irrigation channel. Keywords: Channel efficiency, water loss, water discharge.

Abstract

Reservoir is a basin that can be utilized to contain excess rain water which will be used during dry season and it is also an act of effort to nurture the existence and sustainability of the environment, nature and the ground water, so that the water can always be available in an adequate quantity and quality to fulfill the needs for the living. reservoir is also utilized to maintain the quality of the water ground and as an ecotourism object as well. In University of Lampung, there are several reservoirs that can be found, one of which is reservoir C which is located at the faculty of medicine, University of Lampung. The main purpose of this research is to find out the capacity storage of the reservoir by using several supporting softwares to simplify the calculation. the supporting softwares which are used in this research are AutoCAD 2017, Microsoft Excel 2017, and Google Earth Pro.  The outputs of this research are (1) The estimation of flood discharge at reservoir C faculty of medicine, University of Lampung (2) The storage capacity of the reservoir C faculty of medicine, University of Lampung based on this research, it can be concluded that reservoir is qualified as a conservation reservoir which has 6594.9909 m 3 storage capacity.

Abstract

The construction of a transverse structure on a river such as a dam and weir needs to pay attention to environmental factors and the surrounding ecosystem, especially for the ecosystem in the river. Therefore, it is necessary to build a fishway or fish in the transverse river structure so that the river ecosystem which has migration characteristics from upstream to downstream or vice versa is not disturbed because the migration route is blocked. This is the background of the author in taking the title of the thesis Analysis of the Effect of Slope and Basic Shape of Fishway on the Eel Movement Ratio (Anguilla bicolor, sp). The results of this study indicate that eels are nocturnal or active at night. Eel activity most often occurs at a fishway angle of 30 ° by testing using a 0.5 inch pvc pipe foothold type, while the lowest activity occurs at a 35 ° fishway tilt angle by testing using a 1 inch pvc pipe foothold type. The most effective slope based on the test results is at a slope angle of 30 ° but for a slope of 50 ° it can still be said to be effective because the activity ratio shows almost double the activity. Keywords: Fishway, Footing Type, Eel Activity

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the impact of the areas where El Nino and La Nina were the most dominant. The data used in this study are daily rainfall data in 5 rain stations located in East Lampung. Data length from 1989 to 2018 at each station, this data was taken from the Mesuji River Basin - Sekampung (BBWSMS). This modeling is carried out using a data length of 30 years for a data term of 10957.By using observational data and applying it in 2 programs, namely the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and the Lomb Periodogram, it produces values that can be graphed for the spectrum of each of the 5 rain station areas, namely Jepara Lake, Labuhan Ratu, Taman Negeri, Kota Raman and Sri Gading. From the results, it can be seen which areas are predominantly affected by El Nino and La Nina. Based on the results of the two programs, both show that the rain station in the Lake Jepara area experiences more dominant El Nino and La Nina influences. Keywords: El Nino, La Nina, rain station, rainfall, Fast Fourier Transform, Lomb Periodogram

Abstract

Curah hujan merupakan data yang sangat penting untuk memprediksi kondisi suatu daerah sebagai awal dari perencanaan pembangunan. Namun ada kalanya alat pencatat hujan pada stasiun tertentu rusak sehingga data hujan tidak tercatat atau disebut hilang. Dalam penelitian ini, saya mencoba menganalisis data curah hujan di lampung barat dengan menggunakan metode rata-rata aljabar, normal ratio, inversed square distance, serta metode modifikasi. Setelah saya teliti ternyata didapatkan bahwa metode modifikasi inversed square distance yang saya buat mendapatkan hasil yang paling baik. Abstract

Sungai Way Besai yang terletak pada kecamatan Sumberjaya, kabupaten Lampung Barat memiliki DAS yang cukup besar sehingga DAS tersebut dapat dibagi dalam beberapa Sub-DAS. Pembagian jumlah Sub-DAS di sungai Way Besai dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi perbedaan nilai debit puncak pada saat dilakukan perhitungan debit puncak pada beberapa jumlah sub-DAS yang berbeda. Model HEC-HMS merupakan model hidrologi numerik yang dikembangkan oleh Hidrologic Engineering Center (HEC) dari US Army Corps Of Engineers. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan 3 pembagian sub-DAS yaitu pembagian 5 sub-DAS, 11 sub-DAS, dan 25sub-DAS. Metode yang dilakukan pada software HEC-HMS yaitu metode user gage weighting untuk perhitungan precipitation, metode SCS curve number untuk perhitungan volume runoff, metode SCS unit hydrograph untuk perhitungan direct runoff, metode constant monthly untuk perhitungan baseflow, dan metode muskingum untuk perhitungan routing. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa semakin banyak jumlah pembagian sub-DAS semakin besar nilai debit puncak yang dihasilkan.

Abstract

Spillway is a hydraulic structure whose existence is very important because it is built to release excess water or flood discharge that cannot be accommodated in the dam. The hydraulics analysis of this study used a spillway design (Stepped modified Spillway) with a 2-D physical model and the sediment used was sand with a uniform diameter of 1.8 mm or passed sieve no. 16. This research was carried out 5 times for every 25 minutes of upstream water level observations.In the Stepped spillway spillway the maximum scour (dsmax) occurs at an upstream height (H0) of 3 cm of 0.125 m with an Lds of 0.09 m from the downstream of the spillway. Meanwhile, for the Stepped Modified Spillway spillway, the maximum scour (dsmax) occurs at an upstream height ( H0) 3 cm is 0.076 m with Lds of 0.221 m. This shows that the greater the flow rate, the greater the depth of scour that occurs. So it can be concluded that the Lacey method is the closest to the laboratory results. This is because a balance has been achieved. The deeper the local scour that occurs, the more volume of sediment carried downstream of the weir.Keywords: Stepped and stepped modified spillway, local scour, sediment.

Abstract

Bendung merupakan suatu bangunan sungai yang mempunyai peranan penting bagi kehidupan. Dalam pembangunan suatu bendung, harus memperhatikan keseimbangan ekosistem yang ada agar ekosistem tetap terjaga, salah satunya dengan cara membangun bangunan pelengkap sungai berupa tangga ikan (fishway). Untuk mengetahui efisiensi bentuk fishway yang dapat dibangun, pada penelitian ini dilakukan percobaan dengan menggunakan ikan sidat (Anguilla bicolor, sp) yang kemudian akan dilakukan pengujian pada alat fishway dengan kemiringan dan dua tipe pijakan yang berbeda, yaitu tangga sekat dan vertical pool passes yang kemudian akan dibandingkan dengan tipe pijakan pipa PVC yang telah dilakukan pada penelitian sebelumnya. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, terjadi penurunan rasio aktivitas seiring bertambahnya sudut kemiringan pada fishway dan diperoleh nilai rasio tertinggi pada percobaan dengan sudut kemiringan 25° dengan rasio sebesar 4,40 untuk tipe pijakan tangga sekat dan 3,72 untuk tipe pijakan vertical pool passes. Sedangkan jika dibandingkan antara tipe pijakan tangga sekat, vertical pool passes dan pipa PVC diperoleh nilai rasio tertinggi yaitu pada penggunaan pipa PVC 0,5 inch dengan rasio sebesar 4,50.

Abstract

  Water is a chemical compound that is very important for human life and other living things. the quantity and quality of the well as a water source must meet the physical, chemical and bacteriological requirements. Therefore, proper groundwater treatment is needed to process it into clean water that meets the requirements in terms of quality and quantity so that it is suitable for use by humans. To improve water quality, you can use methods such as filtration. In this final project, water quality improvement is carried out using manganese zeolite and activated carbon filters. The result of this research is to know the efficiency of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn) and E.coli removal using this unit. The results of laboratory tests conducted by the Research and Industrial Standardization Institute of Bandar Lampung with water samples with most parameters such as Fe and Mn have met the standards of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32/MENKES/PER/II/2017 concerning Clean Water Quality Requirements, but the test results with E-coli bacteria parameter is 2863 per 100 ml sample which exceeds the maximum level of 0.
