Abstract

AbstractResource which is often used for energy source is water as hydro power plant. One of hydro power plant in Lampung province is Way Besai Hydro Power Plant. Considering the importance of this hydro power plant for people, extreme things on the hydro power plant like flood, certainly not desirable. Hydrologic analysis required for get result that was flood design as action anticipation.This study was conducted in Way Besai watershed, Sumber Jaya, West of Lampung. The data required of this study are rainfall data from five stations, flow Way Besai data from 1986 to 2000, and daily rainfall data from two station.From frequency analysis, obtained design flood for the largest single data group return period of 2 years is return period 5 years 131,00 m3/s, return period 10 years 178,42 m3/s, return period 25 years 253,71 m3/s, return period 50 years 322,66 m3/s, return period 100 years 403,45 m3/s, and 499,81 m3/s for return period 200 years. From HEC-HMS, the flood design for return period 2 years sebesar 71,2 m3/s, return period 5 years 90,6 m3/s, return period 10 years 105,7 m3/s, return period 25 years 128,6 m3/s, return period 50 years 156,6 m3/s, return period 100 years 190,8 m3/s and 233,7 m3/s for return period 200 years. Based on calibration result used RMSE, obtained RMSE value is 3,12. Keywords: watershed, design flood, Way Besai, HEC-HMS

Abstract

This research was conducted to know the Rainfall Intensity in Antasari area using Intensity Duration Frequency curve (IDF) knowing at what time of year again when the maximum discharge channel in Antasari will be exeeted and to know drainage channels capacity in Antasari based on hydrology analysis and hydraulic using HEC-RAS.The calculations performed by using minutely rainfall data obtained from BKMG Panjang, Bandar Lampung from 2000 until 2011. After checked based on statistical parameters, using Log Pearson III methods to find rain plan based on 2 years, 5 years and 10 years return period. The results were made in IDF curve by connecting consentration time to IDF curve obtained rainfall intensity for each return period. This intensity value will be inserted into the rational formula to obtained the discharge plan value for each return period. The discharge value will be inserted to channels modelling made on HEC-RAS program. it can be obtained for what return period the discharge will be exceeded. The hydrology analysis and hydraulic performed again by using trial and error model. it can obtained the channel capacity.Based on these results, it can conclude that the rainfall intensity is 58 mm/hour for 2 years return period, 76 mm/hour for 5 years return period and 115 mm/hour for 10 years return period of time. The channels capacity exceeded for 10 years period of time and channels capacity is 1,09 m3/hour.Key words : Intensity, Rasioanal method, HEC-RAS, capacity

Abstract

Reservoir is a basin that can be utilized to contain excess rain water which will be used during dry season and it is also an act of effort to nurture the existence and sustainability of the environment, nature and the ground water, so that the water can always be available in an adequate quantity and quality to fulfill the needs for the living. reservoir is also utilized to maintain the quality of the water ground and as an ecotourism object as well. In University of Lampung, there are several reservoirs that can be found, one of which is reservoir C which is located at the faculty of medicine, University of Lampung. The main purpose of this research is to find out the capacity storage of the reservoir by using several supporting softwares to simplify the calculation. the supporting softwares which are used in this research are AutoCAD 2017, Microsoft Excel 2017, and Google Earth Pro.  The outputs of this research are (1) The estimation of flood discharge at reservoir C faculty of medicine, University of Lampung (2) The storage capacity of the reservoir C faculty of medicine, University of Lampung based on this research, it can be concluded that reservoir is qualified as a conservation reservoir which has 6594.9909 m 3 storage capacity.

Abstract

The river is a gathering place for water in the surrounding environment which flows towards a lower place. Way Besai river is located in Sumberjaya sub-district, West Lampung district which has an area of 410.72 km2. Direct runoff needs to be carried out on the Way Besai river to determine the flood hydrograph that occurs in the Way Besai river. The HEC-HMS model is a numerical hydrological model developed by the Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) of the US Army Corps Of Engineers.The methods used in direct flow runoff in the HEC-HMS software are the SCS UH method, the Clark's UH method and the Snyder's UH method. The purpose of this research was to analyze the Way Besai river flood hydrograph by calculating direct runoff using these three methods. The results of this study indicate that the SCS UH method is the most suitable compared to Clark's UH method and Snyder's UH method because it produces the smallest deviation value. Keywords : Way Besai, direct runoff flow, HEC-HMS, SCS UH, Clark's UH, Snyder's UH

Abstract

Water is all water that above or below the ground surface, including sea water that is on land. The need for clean water will increase, while clean water is scarce and must be paid handsomely. Meanwhile, the water source crisis is caused by the increasing need for water as a result of the growing population and land functions that can change the hydrological cycle. One way to meet human needs for clean water is by establishing the concept of rainwater harvesting, which is the concept of collecting rainwater that is stored in a reservoir and then the collected water can be used as an alternative source of water.The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of rainwater before electrolysis and to determine the pH and TDS values of the permanent yield of rainwater and electrolysis.The results of this study are based on the results of laboratory tests showing that the overall quality of water in rainwater meets PerMenKes N0.416 of 1990. For the decreased pH and TDS values in the electrolysis process using a 1 ampere current adapter with a voltage of 300 volts has increased by 0 , 2-0.4 cm in acidic water. As well as for the area of titanium that affects the electrolysis process, the smaller the size of the titanium, the faster it will produce acid water.Keywords: water, rainwater, rainwater harvesting concept, electrolysis method, acid water.

Abstract

Spillway is a hydraulic structure whose existence is very important because it is built to release excess water or flood discharge that cannot be accommodated in the dam. The hydraulics analysis of this study used a spillway design (Stepped modified Spillway) with a 2-D physical model and the sediment used was sand with a uniform diameter of 1.8 mm or passed sieve no. 16. This research was carried out 5 times for every 25 minutes of upstream water level observations.In the Stepped spillway spillway the maximum scour (dsmax) occurs at an upstream height (H0) of 3 cm of 0.125 m with an Lds of 0.09 m from the downstream of the spillway. Meanwhile, for the Stepped Modified Spillway spillway, the maximum scour (dsmax) occurs at an upstream height ( H0) 3 cm is 0.076 m with Lds of 0.221 m. This shows that the greater the flow rate, the greater the depth of scour that occurs. So it can be concluded that the Lacey method is the closest to the laboratory results. This is because a balance has been achieved. The deeper the local scour that occurs, the more volume of sediment carried downstream of the weir.Keywords: Stepped and stepped modified spillway, local scour, sediment.

Abstract

Way Besai River is the largest river in west lampung district. High sedimentation in this riveraffects the performance of Hydroelectic Power Plant (HEPP) owned by PLN which is located inWay Besai River. In order to know the condition of Way Besay’s catchment area, a research isconducted on each of Way Besai’s sub catchment area. One of the sub catchment area is located inTalang Bandung Village, Pekon Sindang Pagar, Kel Tugu Sari Kec Sumber Jaya West LampungDistrict named Talang Bandung Catchment and Air Anak Catchment. In order to make the surveyof Catchments condition easier, the research uses measured unit hydograph analysis method. Thepurpose is to analyse the measured unit hydograph in order to get the value of Peak Discharge,Peak time, basic time, and analysing the flood hydrograph.In this researc the data needed are automatic rainfall data, automatic water level data, velocitydata, and the stream cross section. From these data will be used to make Rating Curve to turn thehydrograph of water level into flow hydrograph. The separation of the components of base flowand direct runoff using straight-line approach and calculate the efective rainfal to get the ordinateof unit hydrograph. From the average of unit hydrograph combined with periodic rainfall willobtain the periodic flood hydrograph.From the analysis result it is, obtained an average of hydrograph unit for each catchment area. On60 minutes period, the average of unit hydrograph of Air Anak Catchment and Talang BandungCatchment have average peak discharge average (Qp) of 0,340 m 3 /sec and 0,394 m 3 /sec, the timeof rise are 560 minutes and 660 minutes. The result shows that for return period of 25 years, flooddischarge for Air Anak is 16,832 m 3 /sec and for Talang Bandung is 20,179 m 3 /sec.Keywords: Measured Unit Hydrograph Analysis, Sub Catchment Area of Way Besai.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik pasang surut dan membandingkan data peramalan pasang surut dengan data terukur. Data yang digunakan merupakan data pasang surut jam-jaman periode tahun 2011-2015 yang diunduh dari website BIG dan UHSLC pada wilayah stasiun Sadeng, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Data yang digunakan untuk setiap analisis adalah data 30 harian atau 720 jam. Hasil perbandingan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh berdasarkan analisis data elevasi langsung dan besaran nilai amplitudonya. Untuk besaran nilai amplitudo komponen pasang surut didapatkan menggunakan program ANFOR yang mengaplikasikan metode Least Square. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa tipe pasang surut yang terjadi pada stasiun Sadeng tergolong pasang surut campuran condong harian ganda. Berdasarkan data elevasi langsungnya, nilai kesalahan relatif dari perbandingan kedua sumber data sebesar 5,7748 % dengan selisih elevasi rata-rata 15,99 cm. Nilai koefisien korelasi langsung berdasarkan elevasinya sebesar 0,9838. Sedangkan berdasarkan perbandingan amplitudo komponen pasang surutnya didapatkan nilai kesalahan relatif yang bervariasi sebagai berikut: K1 sebesar 7,8981 %, O1 sebesar 3,8318 %, P1 sebesar 23,2832 %, M2 sebesar 1,8287 %, S2 sebesar 6,0048 %, N2 sebesar 5,8659 %, K2 sebesar 15,7505 %, M4 sebesar 95,0682 % dan MS4 sebesar 94,9316 %. Dari analisa amplitudo data peramalan pasang surut diperoleh korelasi sebesar 0,9977.

Abstract

The construction of a transverse structure on a river such as a dam and weir needs to pay attention to environmental factors and the surrounding ecosystem, especially for the ecosystem in the river. Therefore, it is necessary to build a fishway or fish in the transverse river structure so that the river ecosystem which has migration characteristics from upstream to downstream or vice versa is not disturbed because the migration route is blocked. This is the background of the author in taking the title of the thesis Analysis of the Effect of Slope and Basic Shape of Fishway on the Eel Movement Ratio (Anguilla bicolor, sp). The results of this study indicate that eels are nocturnal or active at night. Eel activity most often occurs at a fishway angle of 30 ° by testing using a 0.5 inch pvc pipe foothold type, while the lowest activity occurs at a 35 ° fishway tilt angle by testing using a 1 inch pvc pipe foothold type. The most effective slope based on the test results is at a slope angle of 30 ° but for a slope of 50 ° it can still be said to be effective because the activity ratio shows almost double the activity. Keywords: Fishway, Footing Type, Eel Activity
